Six years ago, Asia Humphry met Drew at a party, neither of them being much into parties but going to this one for a change of pace. They laughed at Drew’s corny pickup line and then danced together. And then holding her in his arms, he kissed her. Both were preparing for some important interviews coming up, but he knew he wanted more when they had time to start dating. Eventually, he decided she should win in the interviews and he was willing to throw it to let her win. She deserved it. They both had worked hard for it. She felt confidence, and he had waited for her. They went to dinner and she surprisingly asked him to come home to her apartment. He would be her “reward” for doing well on the interviews.
Drew and Asia spent a wonderful week together at her apartment in college, then it ended. She knew her family wouldn’t accept him and she had to give him up, so they had a huge fight and he left. She never told him about their child. Now in San Francisco, completely across the country, she sees him. Still not panicking, she figures it cannot possibly happen again. She’s sure she can avoid him. Until she shows up for an interview and meets her familiar new boss!
When Asia needs a husband to land another contract, she asks Drew to pretend to be her fake husband. And when truths come out later, their world is jumbled up. What will happen between them now? How will they ever sort out the mess they get entangled in?
Great story. I loved the sacrifice Drew made for Asia. He was the poor kid who worked so hard to aim for what was important. But he let it go to give her the dream she wanted. Do they work things out when the truth is exposed? Or was that the final straw for breaking any possible relationship now?
Mixed feelings
I usually really enjoy Ms. Rose’s books; however, this one left me sadly disappointed. Asia’s deceit about the father of her child left me really not liking her at all. This put the entire book in a negative light. It is well written, and the characters are realistic; however . . .
P. S. At over 75 I’m from a different generation, and I’m sure this influenced by feelings, thoughts, and opinions.

Should all women get a happy ending! Maybe? Okay I enjoyed this book, but I wasn’t very happy with Asia’s decision to keep her secret. This story is about Asia and Drew. This story starts off with them both meeting in college going for the same internship. After meeting her at a party and sharing a kiss, he decides she deserves this internship and botches up his own interview. She gets it and they end up spending the rest of the week together. Note, Asia comes from a wealthy family and he works to keep living. They have a fight on their last night as Asia tells Drew that her family will never accept him, and that the week was all they could have. Surprise, surprise he gives her something for the rest of her life. Now fast forward six years where she moves to CA with her son Ollie. You will need to read the story to find out who she is married to the boss and does Drew forgive her for the secret she kept. Like I said you would need to read this book to judge it for yourself. I like this author, and I am never disappointed in what the outcome and this book definitely has HEA as well.

I am really torn as to how to rate this particular book. The writing was good, the characters were developed and there was a HEA. What I did not like about the story was that Ms. Rose had Asia keep her unexpected pregnancy from Drew for six years with no plan to ever let him know that he had a child, all the while acting like it was all his fault and that she was a victim of some horrible misconduct by him. Simple biology says that it takes two to conceive a child so where was her feeling of responsibility to not making sure that there had been protection used and since when does that give her the right to deny him the knowledge that he was a father! He had actually purposely blown an interview to make sure that she got a job that they had both wanted after all! If a man is willing to do something that unselfish, what made her think he did not deserve to know about his own child? Even after they were pretending to be married!?! This is becoming a common theme lately among authors to have a storyline featuring an unplanned pregnancy and then having the h decide that they were wronged in some way and to never tell the man involved that there was a child, all the while professing to have nurtured an abiding love for him! If the h had really loved him she would have contacted him and told him so that they could work out a possible solution, not just decide to deprive him of all contact with a child he never gets to know!
THAT IS SO WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS!!!
Ms. Rose normally does a much better job with her storylines so I am being generous and am giving this a 3-Star rating!

I loved reading Married to My Boss by Annie J. Rose because it was a very steamy story about Drew and Asia. Drew and Asia were dating each other back in college. They had a pretty intense love affair and were both applying for the same internship program. Asia came from money and Drew did not. Asia didn’t wan to have distractions in regards to the internship and they had a huge fight. They never saw each other after that until fate stepped in and gave them another chance. Drew worked with his best friend in a company that they both started. Asia was a single mom and a free lancer who was trying to make a name for herself in the business world. But one of the potential clients that she is trying to get wants her to be married. He is old school and won’t hire her even though she has all the qualifications that he needs. So, fate steps in and lands her at Drew’s company. She needs a husband and he needs her expertise in providing bug support for his company. So they agree and that is where things get complicated. I really hoped that Drew and Asia would get together for the sake of their son and that Asia would tell Drew about their son Oliver (Ollie). It was a very good book that I highly recommend reading. Also, I love the cover of the book. I like to think that this is what Drew looks like and he is hot!!

This book was a good read with a well written storyline and characters that were so well detailed that Drew and Asia kept me totally glued to my kindle until the turn of the very last page!
This book was a whirlwind of dramatic and emotional situations that just seemed to resolve one thing and another popped up. This was so well thought out, not necessarily an original concept however original in the way it was written.
Secret baby, second chances, past lovers coming back and him being the new boss not to mention, fake relationship wanting to be real. I enjoyed the writing and snappy dialogue, but especially the chemistry and dynamic displayed in the story. It was very involving and i felt right along with them both. Annie J Rose never fails to deliver and this book is no exception. Thank you Annie!!

The author has given us well rounded characters that pull you into their lives and do not let go. The story has lust/love, tension, secrets and lies that keep to reading to find out if Drew and Asia can get their happily ever after.

A new author for me. I liked the book but felt it fell short in places. I didn’t feel the fire between is couple and parts read slow. For me it’s a 3.5 rate. The story is about Drew and Asia. Both meet in college and compete for the same awards. They find themselves at a party a week before an interview they both want – their attraction get’s the better of them and they spend a week together. Asia’s family is weak and sh ends up paying for their dates. Drew earns what he can while going to school. Drew cares for Ava and he throws the interview to ensure that Asia gets it. Six years later Asia has a little boy, Ollie and moves to San Francisco and is looking for freelance work and ends up seeing Drew at a random restaurant and then another person mentions her being a good match for Drew’s company. Asia comes up with a crazy plan, that She and Drew marry to help her get her dream job. In return, she will help Drew by working for Drew’s company for a year for free.

This book had great potential but fell short. The story line was promising. The characters and dialogue were stiff. The book seemed to be more about the business transactions than the main characters rekindling their relationship.

Keeping a big secret
This is both a heart-breaking AND heart-warming story about Drew and Asia. They met in college, but never pursued anything together until the last day of their intern interview process. Unbeknownst to Asia, Drew makes a huge sacrifice that day, to ensure her dreams continue on her chosen path. They spend a blissful week together, but a fight ends the time in their wonderful bubble. And they’re both too stubborn to admit their wrongdoings in the situation.
Fast forward six years, and they serendipitously bump into each other again. They both harbour feelings from years ago for each other. Trust is still understandably an issue for them, but there’s someone else to now consider too… he just doesn’t know it yet.
This is an emotional journey of a second-chance romance and possible happily ever after, with lots of drama, miscommunication, stubbornness, good friends, supportive family, love, passion and steam. I highly recommend this book, and hope other readers enjoy it as much as I did.

Asia and Drew went to college together and competed for the same internship. He decided to let Asia have it by messing up the interview process purposely. She invited him back to her dorm where they had one night that turned into a week relationship. She had to let him go because her parents would not approve and it was the deal they made. Later, she discovered he left behind a surprise. Fast forward six years…Drew was a partner in his own company. An investor suggested he hire an independent freelancer. Asia moved to San Francisco, CA with her son, Ollie. Her brother soon followed and bought the house next to hers. She was going for an interview about a job when she discovered it was with Drew. They hem hawed around one another for a while. Then, she had an opportunity to grad another contract she desperately wanted…to do so, she had to have a husband…she asked Drew. When they were successful, her best friend came to town and Drew was jealous! Then the truth came out and everything was in a shamble…where would they go from there? What about Mark? Ollie? Second Chance To Get It Right:
By Korkoi –
Drew and Asia had a whirlwind of a sexual escapade for one week in their final year in college, but they broke up after an argument. Six years later, fate and a job bring them back together, but a very big secret and a misunderstanding deals them another blow. This is a story about trust, communication and insecurities. This is a well written story, with enough passion, twists and sizzling chemistry, to keep you engrossed and also not want the story to end.

A superb story about two people that fell in love, but circumstances forced them apart. Drew and Asia met again six years later. This time he had the privilege and she had only her skills. He was the boss and she needed the job he was offering. Read Married to the Boss by Annie J. Rose to find out exactly what happened to Drew and Asia.
