This was a emotionally thrilling, sexy, exciting and action packed adventure filled with engaging charters, witty dialog, interesting twists and heartwarming second chance born of forgiveness. Was a great read and had me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end.
I enjoy Ms. Rose’s books and this was no exception. Both main characters were portrayed as stubborn but it was that very persistence that made both successful in school and career. Indeed, it was this character trait that attracted them to each other and caused their problems. In respect for HEAs, both eventually recognize and admit their mistakes making for a happy and growing family.
Love or money.
Asia and Drew had a thing in college and it ended badly and with her pregnant and raising their kid on her own (my least favorite trope).
Six years later, they are together again, but he’s her boss and fake. Will the same faults love and no money or money and no love cause them to repeat the past.
Received from Bad Boy Update.
Fears That Challenge Love
The family that raises a child leaves an indelible influence—both positive and negative.
Drew grew up in a loving, supportive, but financially limited home. Such an experience helped him to know that whatever good that was to come to him in the world would be the product of his brain and his initiative. His efforts would be the difference maker in his life—not the advantages of wealth, travel and opportunities that come from familial relationships. Although his family could not offer money to help ease his path in life, he always knew that he was loved and valued as a member of that family. But what he did not learn was how money could blind an individual to real emotions, leading to distrust. An individual who has not been loved unconditionally, sees relationships as transactional, not as a gift freely given.
Asia had always had the advantages available through money. Her parents offered opportunities and financial support, but not out of love for the child, but how the child’s achievements could help polish and adorn the family’s reputation. No achievement was without critique or room for improvement. First place in the race—the time could have been faster; an A on a test—it wasn’t a 100. Her parents’ high expectations propelled her to strive and achieve, but when she failed to meet their expectations, and becoming pregnant without an acceptable candidate to offer as a husband and father was judged a failure, she was dropped from her parents’ world. And that experience of not being accepted and love unconditionally for herself blinded her to her own worthiness to be loved leading her to believe that she was good enough.
Drew and Asia were constantly in contact and competition in college, what they had not done was to share their feelings honestly and openly. And, that inability to honestly reveal themselves created a gulf of years, ripping apart a family before it is even formed.
Annie J. Rose has woven a sweet but fragile romance of young love with the inability of an individual to break out of inherited assumptions and a fear of honesty and acceptance. The story of Drew and Asia sets up a romance that is challenged by the misunderstandings of past that continue into the present. The damage of Asia’s controlling parents who wished to manage their daughter and by Drew’s own hot temper and inability to put his own fears and assumptions aside almost destroy their fragile love before it can even be acknowledged. Rose creates a love story of individuals who recognize love, but who are manipulated by the forces of their past and their insecurities in the present.

Drew and Asia met in college and had a strong attraction to each other then. They had an incredible week together that Drew thought could be more but they’re backgrounds were very different and when Asia told Drew they could never be, he walked out and didn’t go back. 6 yrs later they encounter each other again. Drew has his own business and Asia is a freelancer who is highly recommended to Drew. Now she needs his help to land a big job and makes him a deal. They get close again, but there’s a secret that Asia should have told him years before….her son is his son too. Fast paced, easy to read story. I have to be honest I didn’t agree with Asia keeping her pregnancy from Drew. He had the right to know and choose what he wanted in respect of being a father. When the two meet again and she needs his help he agrees to help but what happens when he learns the truth? The characters are fantastically crafted and the story had heart and was well-written and entertaining. I liked the development of the relationship between Asia and Drew and I felt that the emotions behind everything were genuine and believable.

Ms. Annie Rose has released a beautifully crafted romance with a superbly designed storyline as well as the characters to match. This woman has some serious talent and creativity.
Imagine this… After 6 years, two fated individuals meet again and their life as they know it will change in a drastically different way.
Asia and Drew have a steamy and super hot past, however, eventually their relationship ended, because of the odds stacked against them.
To me, Drew is absolutely everything you would hope to find & have in a man and was written as an extraordinary character. In this publication, Drew made an incredible sacrifice for Asia, just because of who he is. Now they can only cherish, in their memories, their 1 amazing week together. That is until they meet again in San Francisco, so many years later, while looking at her new gorgeous boss. With a secret between them, Asia knows that she needs to come clean, but she also needs just one more favor… Does Drew help her again? What will transpire when he learns what Asia is keeping from him? Can these two ever obtain a happily ever after or has she destroyed any chance with her secret?
I am one of those people who do not like to give away any part of the plot, so that I do not ruin it for other readers. If I am being completely honest, I was riveted all the way through this impressive book and I suspect that this storyline will stay with me for some time to come.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader’s copy of Married To My Boss in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion and I couldn’t recommend reading this book as well as anything published by Ms. Rose more.
They had a blissful week in college until it led to a heated argument. What Asia didn’t know at the time was that Drew had left her a parting gift. Fast forward and now they have reconnected only this time they have the opportunity to right that dreaded breakup. When Asia tells Drew about her plan of marrying him to land a client, Drew is all in but he wants something as well but when Asia’s secret comes out will it end the way they want? This story will have you in the corners of these two hoping they get a second chance for happiness.

This is a fake marriage, second chance romance with a secret baby twist. Asia and Drew had a week long affair until something tore them apart. Six years later fate brought them back together in San Francisco and she’s held a secret from him for years. This is a great, well written story with believable characters and a HEA.
3.5 Stars (rounded up on sites that do not allow half stars)
There were aspects of this book I absolutely loved but there were others I thought could have been done better. Overall I didn’t hate it, I probably would not pick it as something I’ll read a second time though.
This book featured something I haven’t come across before. When Asia meets Drew in his office the first time she falls into deep thought. We got to experience it as Drew watching her and wondering what it was all about. I’ve never seen it as a first person perspective from the observer. It was a unique aspect I loved and I felt it gave me a better understanding of both Asia and Drew. We see as he saw her. I also liked how Asia was the one who broached the fake marriage, it was her plan to get a job opportunity she wanted. I did not understand why she would want to put herself into a job (position) that had those particular views on women in the workplace in the first place. She seems like a pretty smart and put together woman otherwise.
The part I did not enjoy and did not understand at all was why Asia never told Drew he was a father. She was not a victim, nothing overly terrible happened so there was no reason for her to keep it from him once she found out. It broke my heart when he rushed to her house after learning not only was she a mother but her kid was sick. He practically dropped everything, got comfort food and rushed to her side to help out. This is after seeing her and speaking to her just the one time (across the room by chance doesn’t count) in 6 years.
Drew and Asia work great together as a couple and I really wish the author had come up with some other viable reason why Drew wouldn’t know he was a dad. It’s a familiar story type and some authors make it work, this was a case of it seeming not as well thought out and not at all original.

This book is about Drew & Asia that met in college, she was from a well to do background and Drew from the wrong side of the tracks. Drew blew his own chances of getting an internship so that Asia can get it. they spend 1 week together as a “couple” when Asia mentioned the trouble that will follow them if they have a relationship, because of her background. Drew gets upset & leaves. Now 5 years later, they meet by chance again when she applies for a job at Drew’s company.
Drew had to have had some feelings at first sight for Asia. He was willing to let her win the interview that they were both applying for. He was willing to do anything to make her happy and her dreams come true. Asia knowing that her parents would not accept Drew. She gave him one week and then she picked a fight and he left. She was left with a little surprise. Thinking they would never cross path again. To her surprise she runs into Drew again in San Francisco. Now she needs him to be her fake husband so she can land a contract. You know Drew would find out about his child. I enjoyed this book. Ms Rose brought it to the table with the sacrifices, labor of love, steamy love scenes and the happy ever after. Congrats on a job welldone.

An easy,breezy book.
I liked the premise of this storyline which could have been approached from a really heavy, angst-ridden point of view. Instead the author takes a lighter tone and moves the story along at a quick pace.
Asia and Drew are the protagonists and due to a fight about coming from different SES, Drew walks out and doesn’t see Asia for six years. Those six years are life altering for Asia. Now that they meet again will it be life altering for Drew? Read and find out. You’ll be rewarded with a HEA that is satisfying.
I’m definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure.
I received this ARC from “Bad Boy Update” for my honest review so I’m leaving this for your consideration. Peace.
**Spoilers** The plot was well written and the characters developed. And I’m glad Drew and Asia got a second chance at love. But I did struggle with parts of the story though. I really liked Drew. He’s sweet, caring, and thoughtful. I think this is first story in a while that I didn’t really care for the heroine. I disagreed with Asia 100% in hiding her pregnancy and son from Drew for six years. That’s wrong on so many levels. She should’ve told him the truth from the beginning and given him the choice to decide what he does from there. What she did was make a decision for him. I’ve been there (the latter, not hiding a pregnancy), and it’s not a good feeling to find out the truth years later.
Also, Asia came off a little snooty to me. She didn’t take any responsibility in the argument that broke them up in college. It doesn’t go into full detail about what was said, but she was mad at him for walking out and never coming back after she made a comment about their relationship being just fun and her parents would never allow them to be together because she’s upper class and he’s pretty much beneath her (not the exact words but close enough). Who wouldn’t be mad after that?? And especially after he blew the internship of a lifetime so she could get it. Even after she started to get to know him again, she could easily ask him to be her fake husband to get a job but not say I’m sorry. It was only after he apologized at the end that she apologized for keeping his son away from but nothing else. It just irked me.
Lastly, we never learn if her parents ever come around. After finding out she was pregnant, they disowned her for keeping the baby. Talk about irony. Drew wasn’t good enough for her, and her parents don’t love her even enough not cut her off completely. Sounds like a little karma to me, although the baby didn’t deserve it. But it would’ve been nice to know if her parents realized the error of their ways and want to be a part of their lives. She is their only daughter and only grandchild.
I still give it 3.5 stars because I love Annie J. Rose’s books and writing style. They have depth and give the characters something to overcome. Hopefully, I’ll like the next heroine better.

Asia and Drew meet at college and are trying out for the same internsnip. Drew deliberately fluffs his interview so Asia can get it after they have one night of passion. They spend a blissful week together before they have a huge fight and Drew leaves forever. Six years later they meet again. Rivalry. A gift. An interview. Guilt. An old love. A cute little boy. What a wonderful story.

This is the complicated story with Asia who comes from a wealthy family and Drew who does not. They meet in college and have a blissful week together before they had a big fight and he walked away. Six years later they meet again when she is freelancing and he interviews her for a job at his company. What he does not know is after he left her she found out she was pregnant and her family turned their back on her except for her brother who has helped her throughout her pregnancy and after the birth of her son Ollie. This story has some twists and turns and they way the characters came back together was unexpected but added to the twists of “will they or want they”.
This is a beautiful sweet second chance romance Years earlier Asia and Drew met at a party they where attracted to one another and spent a few weeks together In fact Drew gave up his chance at a job interview so that Asia had the chance to win it She knew her family would never except a poor working class buy so she broke up with him never telling him she was pregnant with his son Ollie Now years later they meet again and he is her boss Will she tell him her secret and can they have a future together this time
Not a bad read. Drew and Asia had enough chemistry to keep it interesting and the “baby” age wasn’t enough to distract me from the storyline.
