Of “Treading Water,” reviewers said:
“Treading Water is a definite must read! Treading Water creates an emotional firestorm within the reader. It shines the light on the good and the bad in life and proves that one moment can change everything and it’s never too late to find love. Marie Force grabbed my heart and squeezed every ounce of emotion out of it but most importantly her monumental story left me blissful. Treading Water may be fiction but it gives me hope; hope in everyday people and happily ever after. I cannot wait for the next book in this trilogy, Marking Time.” —Joyfully Reviewed, a “Recommended Read” for November!
“This isn’t your typical romance where you’re positive you’re going to get the happy ending you were hoping for at the beginning. It will rip your heart out at times and having you weeping for joy at others. A stunning story about learning to love again and learning when to let go to those you love.” —Night Owl Reviews, Reviewer Top Pick

I enjoyed the characters and the story.
I loved this book (read the whole series-loved every book.) I would highly recommend reading them all! They were real life every day living.
It was an OK “read yourself to sleep” book, but I wouldn’t buy it again.
I love this series by Marie Force. She really writes warm, witty characters that you want to keep reading about.
I enjoyed that the author continued separate threads for all the characters throughout the book, yet interwove those threads in a wonderful way. It was so much better being able to keep up with the lives of all the characters on an ongoing basis, rather than just focusing on one or two. Very well written.
Highly recommend this book. Definitely different from the typical romance genre. I haven’t read the first in this series because I can’t stand what Jack does to Clare even under the circumstances . I was so glad Clare finds her wonderful guy in this one but I still didn’t forgive Jack.
I really liked this book..it is about sacrificing for someone you love and new beginnings. The characters were strong also.
This was a great story with suffering characters coming together. The heroine has such a big heart, you want her happiness so much.
Good read
Unexpected. Sad then happy. Heart wrenching at times.
Love anything by her!!!
Marie Force is a writer that I really enjoy. This book is another one she did really well. You get involved in the characters and the love story too.
Not my kind of book
This was hard to put down; the events that occurred seemed unbelievable. But the writing is so strong, you easily identify with each character. You question what you would do in this tragic situation.
I love all her books
I just love it!!
Loved the storyline. Some of the steamy scenes were too much. But I have downloaded the next book in the series.
This book is part of my favorite Marie Force series. If you haven’t read the series yet, please do. You’re going to love it!
Ok, I hated this book. It forced me to confront the most awkward, horrible, tragic, yukky and emotional feelings EVER! I was so confronted by the book I couldn’t sleep at all, it was like these characters were real and I was raging at this horrible circumstance the main character was in. I even bought the first book because I had to delve deeper into torrid emotions like a true sucker for punishment!! Argh! This book has stayed with me for DAYS and stopped me concentrating on life. But then, isn’t that what good books do?
I love Marie Force – all of her series, and once I started this book, I could not put it down. Just ordered the next one in this series.
