OVERALL: a very calm, gentle, light romance – recommend – would read author’s other works
PROS:
1. Unique/original story, great world building, and interesting characters
2. Has romance, humor, some suspense, paranormal/sci-fi shifters, aliens, cyborgs, robots, and humans

RECOMMEND reading other books from the Qurilixen World in order to get the full taste of that universe, characters, and experiences in this series.

Fiora is one of three triplet sisters, each with their own special gift. Fiora can see the future, but at great cost to herself, plus she cannot tell a lie. She has been held by General Sten in the Federation compound on Qurilixen and used as entertainment for his guests. They have little regard for her welfare, feeding her only enough to keep her alive and performing. When she tries to kill herself so she can end her suffering, she fails and they heal her just in time to send her out to perform again. Fortunately, she is rescued that night by her sister Selena and her mate Prince Grier, with the help of Prince Jaxx. Once back at the Dragon Shifter Palace, she is only concerned about the repercussions on their people and asked to be returned to General Sten. Of course they refuse. When Jaxx comes to see her later, she realizes when he touches her, the voices in her head stop and she finds peace for the first time in her life. Jaxx is also surprised by his immediate attraction to her and he realizes she is his mate. Unfortunately, when Fiora was being rescued, they flew over the shanty town of Shelter City. She is bombarded with the vision of a huge explosion that destroys the city and most of the people there. She cannot rest until they see if they can find the threat and eliminate it, saving thousands of people. Going into Shelter City and being discovered could mean death to them, but they must try. Will they survive to enjoy their new found happiness?
Great book with lots of action! I love that the two sisters have finally found each other, but can they find the third triplet or is she already dead? The journey continues, fortunately!

Enjoyable read
Book 2 is just as addicting as Book 1.
So we continue the story from book 1 into book 2. Although book 2 can be read as a standalone, it is preferred to read secondary to book 1 since Dragon Prince provides the foundation to the characters. Again Marked Prince may be read as a stand-alone because enough information is provided to emphasize the story. The beginning overlaps from Dragon Prince only from our supporting characters point of view as this is Jaxx and Fiora’s story. Fiora, we learn from Dragon Prince, has an unique ability. We read more about it and even get a glimpse from her perspective what all that ability reveals. Graphic, dramatic and full action as our heroes go to save a city that was only intended to be a temporary housing. The perspective from Jaxx is enlightening as he steps more into the spotlight. With the search for the final triplet of Salena and Fiora taking a backseat from the main storyline objective, the main focus is preventing the destruction of Shelter City. What I enjoy most about this series is the reading ease and personable entertainment of the characters. Like a real family, the characters are really relatable and fun. Plus a happy ever after is always a plus.
Jaxx and Fiora were the best part of this book far and away. I loved how Fiora always speaks her mind! Definitely a nice change from characters who are always dancing around each other for the entire book.
Michelle M. Pillow did a great job with the character work and story line while Michael Ferraiuolo did a fantastic job of bringing the story to life. This was a fun book to read and/or listen to.
I received an ARC and a copy of the audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Fast paced from beginning to end with soooo much emotion and turmoil crammed into a short story. This one got my heart strings and just kept you on the edge of your seat. This shifter paranormal romance has so much heart!
Flora is held captive for her future telling ability. Prince Jaxx agrees to help save Flora. Now he must have her love. I like the characters and the steamy parts are easy to ignore. The whole series is good and easy, fast reads/listens. They are all entertaining. The voice of the narrator is dream and easy to get lost in. This series is highly recommended.
I absolutely loved Jaxx in the first book, so I was over the moon to read this book.
Jaxx is just a lovable dragon. He is the best book boyfriend.
The second installment of the Qurilixen Lords digs a little deeper into what the citizens of the Federation suffers. We watch how Jaxx tries to help the citizens. Jaxx is captivated with Fiora who was recently rescued but there are several complications. It was a fast pace read for me and I really enjoyed the plot twists and complications that popped up. It kept things very interesting!
The narrator, Michael Ferraiuolo does a wonderful performance portraying all of the characters. I find his voice his to follow along and very intriguing.
This is the second book in the Qurilixen Lords Series, a dragon shapeshifter romance, and a spinoff of the amazing Qurilixen World. Jaxx and Fiora’s story is complex, interesting, and intriguing. Fiora is such a beautiful, interesting and kind character! Jaxx is handsome, protective, and caring. They are perfect together. The world building is intricate, and captivating. Michael Ferraiuolo did a great job with the narration. I enjoyed it. Looking forward to listening to Determined Prince, the next book in the Series.
This book follows Fiora who we saw rescued in book 1 . The first time she sees Jaxx he’s standing naked in front of her but she has a strange connection to him and him to her. Jaxx is the only one who can bring Fiora out of here trance when she starts seeing visions. I really enjoyed listening to this I love the worlds Michelle brings us.
Such a Wonderful Story. Jaxx is such an amazing character and his love for Fiora is the sweetest ever. A little dark in places because of the pain that Fiora goes through because of her visions but Jaxx, being her true mate, is able to help her overcome the worst of it. Full of action, plenty of romance and a HEA! What more could you want!!!
This is definitely in my top 5 Qurilixen audiobooks!!!! Mainly for 2 specific reasons. #1 It’s Jaxx….nuff said & #2 (spoiler alert) Fiora can read everyone’s future & not lie about it BUT she can’t read Jaxx’s. That to me makes a perfect mate for all supernatural beings with those types of abilities.
The story is fantastic and I listened in one sitting. The only time I stopped the audiobook was when I was laughing my bum off.
The narrator’s voice is so perfect as well. He does a wonderful job. I love Michelle M Pillow’s audiobooks & this is no exception.
This woman’s opinion says…buy instantly!!! You’ll have zero regrets.
This whole universe was new to me, as this was the first book I’ve read by this author. The book was quite engaging and easy to understand, even if you are brand-new to the series. The heroine, Fiora, has incredible fortune-telling abilities and can tell everyone’s future but her own. She is also cursed in that she is compelled to tell the truth when asked about anything/ It’s rather horrifying to think you would be forced to answer even the most personal questions with sheer honesty. A lot of bad boy romance “heroes” might take advantage of that, but Jaxx (a dragon shifter) doesn’t which I love. When Fiora’s visions foretell disaster, she must find a way to alter the future. Overall, this was a fascinating read with excellent world-building.
This is the second book in a series and features one of three sisters who have special powers and the dragons who are their fated mates. This book had a very interesting take on this particular sister and adds some characters that didn’t appear (or only briefly appeared) in the previous book, that I found to be interesting/entertaining.
Destiny already has it’s course.
Cursed with seeing and only being able to tell the truth about everyone’s future, but her own, Fiora is forced and shown off like a prized freak show attraction. Rescued by one of her triplets and her mate, she soon meets Jaxx.
Jaxx is protective of her from the first time they meet, he tries to dismiss it as concern. But he can’t.
When she can’t see Jaxx’s future and cursed to only tell the truth, she warns him.
Jaxx sees Fiora as his future.
Fiora needs Jaxx to help keep the madness at bay.
They both need and desire each other.
As they work together to change a destructive vision of the future, time may not be on their side but, love, hope and determination are.
This series are the children of the series before. And just like the series before, I’m going all the way!
It’s full of adventure, laughter and STEAM between the H/h.
No cliff hangers. HEA.
