Logan-freaking-Oliver.Sure the million-dollar pretty boy can play football. At least that’s what the papers lead us to believe. Me though, I’m not so convinced.Sure he’s got a backside you could bounce quarters off, arms you want wrapped around you, dimples you’d drown in and hair you’d sell your mother to pull… but is he a nice guy or has he let fame go to his head?I wasn’t one of his adoring … wasn’t one of his adoring fans, throwing my granny panties at his feet… that was until I met him and he completely screwed me…

A fun read set in my home town. I know what it’s like to be surrounded by crazy scarf and beanie wearing footy fanatics, thinking get your drunken arse off my train.
Logan was a sporting hero which means he had far to fall when having a crap week on the field. Tash is a sports writer, a blogger who got the attention of a major newspaper. If only he knew her secret. When he found out is it the end of their fling/relationship?
I don’t know why I actually didn’t like her, though I chuckled over their banter.
If you like sports romances you’ll enjoy it.
I vent in blind with Marked. I thought it was well written, the plot idea was good. Nothing original, but ok written. However, were was the angst and guilt ridden thoughts from the female main character, Natasha, Tasha, North?
I liked the characters, loved the banter between them all. But were was the interaction and conversation between Tasha and Logan? All they did was end up in the bedroom or any other place for some release ..
Sorry, some spoilers here..
If Tasha had the blog anonymous, how could a newspaper call her on her phone, out of the blue, about it?
Tasha never said what she was studying to Logan…until she literally says “You know I’m studying journalism.”, when she asked him what he’s studying, and that’s after the 50% mark in the book.
Never does is say that Tasha gets Logans phone number, why is she all of suddenly texting him? It’s he who has her number, but never do anything about it..
Of course they could have exchanged numbers ‘behind the scene’ but since it was maid such a big deal about that they never exchanged numbers..
Sorry, maybe I’m nitpicking too much…but it seriously bugs me.
It’s a good book, don’t take it wrong. I just miss some things in the story, that is crucial for me as a reader who wants to enjoy it thoroughly.
And the ending…a bit anticlimactic for me.
This was a cute sports genre story. Tash and Logan are electric together and barbed wire apart. Little does Logan know that the one girl he can’t get out of his head is the blogger that rakes him through the coals each week. Sometimes you do’t really know what you need even when it is right in front of you. Cute, sassy and sexy.
I like Tasha!
Aussie football player Logan Oliver is his team golden boy, but a blogger has been making him the target of their articles especially when he’s been having a horrible game. Natasha (Tasha) North is working on her journalism degree and writing her sports blog on the side as “T” when she gets a chance to write sports articles for the leading newspaper.
You know where this is going to go because Tash really likes Logan, but she can’t tell him that she writes the blog that has made him the target because that would end everything.
I really enjoyed this book,
the witty banter,
the intense chemistry,
This book had it all!!
The storyline was good and the characters were so well defined that as each and every page was turned Logan and Tasha pulled me right into their story as it unfolded!
This book was a surprise for me and I loved every word. Tash and Logan were smoking hot together, their chemistry jumped off the page. I loved this story and how I never knew what was going to happen next and craved to read more. I highly recommend this book and author.
When you are having the reading blahs, or in a funk , this is the book for you. A fun sports romance. He is a freakin hot football star and she is a writer/blogger.
The story starts with flirting and a LOT steaminess! They really hit it off and have a fun romance but Logan doesn’t know something and does that change things?
Tasha has this sassy attitude and she’s always trying to stay away from Logan but she’s always lured back to him!
Another thing about this book , its written with some Australian language which I loved! I learned some new words : “Logan, you have a corked thigh.” What the… lol!
Logan-Freaking-Oliver
Seriously. Rebecca Barber has written her hottest book boyfriend yet, and I couldn’t get enough of Logan Oliver, sexy Australian Rules Football player. He is hot on and off the field and, well, just hot and funny as all hell. He lives with a couple of his friends, also sports players, and I have to say that Rebecca Barber’s iconic witty humour really comes into its own with the hilarious interactions between these single guys.
Tasha is the sharp tongue anti-fan who isn’t at all impressed with his on or off field antics. She’s too busy with her Journalism studies, and can’t understand why every female around wants to hit that, until, … she actually meets him in person. There’s more to him than his public persona, so she not only wants to hit that, but she wants to take him down, in more ways than one. It’s fun, but her background could become an issue for them.
With Marked, the first book in Ms. Barbers new Playing Games sports series, she is showcasing her versatile writing style in winning form as she brings us Logan-Freaking-Oliver, Tasha, their friends, and, her own blend of Australian humour that she has let go for a run on its own!
This is now my favourite book to date from Rebecca Barber, and for those who love sports romances spiced with heat, and flavoured with plenty of wit, I can hand-on-heart recommend this as a must-read to you all. 5-Freaking-Stars for Marked!!!!!
This was a great start to a new series! Logan was a football player and Natasha was a reporter/ blogger. Natasha writes a couple of blogs about his team that aren’t so flattering to Logan or doesn’t even mention him at all. They meet and start talking to each other and the whole time Logan doesn’t know she is the person behind the words. Will he be able to get past her deception? I really enjoyed reading their story. I am looking forward to seeing what comes next in the series!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
I received a complimentary ARC – early release copy of this book in Kindle format from the author for review purposes.
This is a college age type romance with a side of sports star and a secret identity big secret romance. It stars Logan and Tasha. Tasha is a college student with a blog and a journalism job who loves football. Logan is the star football player who is also in college. The two meet one night and have a sexy night until she disappears.
Tasha has a blog and she likes picking on Logan’s football skills and so he kinda hates her blog. So she is scared to reveal who she really is, a reporter and the hated blogger. For me that was far fetched that he never sees her reporting or he doesn’t see her article credits. But I did like the secret aspect of the story and I loved how Tasha made Logan chase after her.
This story seems to take place in Melbourne Australia but it easily could take place in the USA too. It was a fun and easy read and I loved Logan’s best friend. I though he was a major scene stealer.
I love a good sports romance and this did not disappoint. What could possibly go wrong when a blogger/journalist and a football star fall in love with one another but there are secrets that could threaten their relationship? An enjoyable story that you will keep reading to see how Tasha and Logan’s relationship plays out. I will admit that I did have some confusion over different terminology used. Looking forward to reading more of this series.
This is the 1st in a new series from this talented author, and she has done a wonderful job in penning this tale. This is Logan and Tasha’s story and this chemistry between these two is off the charts. This is a well written tale which is fun, entertaining, humorous, steamy and with witty banter and secrets which had me totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all.
Wow, talk about meeting the one, that makes your life complicated and full all at the same time. Loved the idea of this storyline, great characters with so much emotion. This was definitely a page turner to say just how it was all going to come out with the truth in the end. Enjoyed how this all played out, with understanding and little bit of bruised ego on both parts, but the learning to deal with feelings and expressing them with honesty.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This sports romance was one that had you ping ponging between will they or won’t they get together. Logan and Tash are two people drawn to each other. With passion and chemistry that is absolutely electric staying away from each other might be harder than Tash thought. As a secret swirls in the air mixed with denial of feelings these two will be playing a game that neither of them have trained or studied hard enough for. A story that will captivate you, have you cheering from the sidelines and falling hopelessly in love with these two sassy and endearing characters.
I love a good book with a sassy and strong heroine and this book delivered.
Hot? Check
Fun? Definitely
Drama? Some
Hero? Delicious.
I want a Logan Oliver for myself, he seems like a dream.
An easy read that left me wanting to learn more about the world they come from, and see the other characters find their own HEA.
Marked – Playing Games Book #1 – Rebecca Barber
Rebecca Barber has definitely kicked a goal with the first in her new Playing Games Series – Marked.
With a truly Aussie flavour, centred around some seriously hot Australian Rules football players, predominantly Logan Oliver and his exploits both on and off the field. With the delightful and sometimes sharp tongued Tasha as his foil, he’s met his match and these characters will win you over from the start.
Great story with wonderfully quirky Australian characters. Ms Barber has delivered one of her best in this light hearted yet sinfully sexy game.
Can’t wait for more!!
