Hiding out in a mental institution isn’t glamorous. I call it surviving.I’m blissfully unaware of the world outside the walls—and spell—that hides me. Until the ghost shows up with talks about his friends being marked by a demon. Oh, but not just any demon. The same one who has marked me and wants me dead.My Father.Fearful daddy dearest would be my next uninvited guess, I make the choice to … make the choice to follow the ghost to his four, very alive friends. To my relief they want my father dead as much as I do. One thing I’m not prepared for is finding out that Zane—the alpha wolf shifter—is my mate, and the demon mark links the five of us—ghost included—together on a deeper level than I thought.
Teaming up and facing the demon stirs up passion and dark secrets none of us are ready to face.

“5 out of 5 stars! All of Reese’s life she has been living in seclusion and on the run. She is half-demon after all. Than with her father trying to kill her staying hidden is necessary. But when a ghost finds her and brings her to men who might be able to help protect her, she finds the courage to take it upon herself to make a new future for them all. Now they just have to be sure to defeat their common enemy (her father) before he rips their lives apart even more…
Can I just say now what I’ve been thinking since I finished this novel … which is, “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!” Why Ms. Davis, did you do this to me?! I am on Ms. Davis’ newsletter list and when she was pimping this novel (“Marked For Them”) it left me REALLY intrigued. Therefore, I preordered it and was so excited on release day to get it … then I completed this novel in about 12 hours (because of sleep and my family bugging me). Even so, I was unprepared for the …”

In the beginning, I was confused at how the events came about and why but towards the end things were explained. It is a really cool puzzle once the pieces start to come together and I am betting we will learn even more in the next book. I was surprised at the dynamic between everyone and how different they all are in a physical sense as well. I do like the main female, she’s smart and warm even after everything she’s gone through. The story plot is awesome, great characters and the narrator helps bring everything to life. I am loving this book and looking forward to more of the series! I received this audiobook by my request from getfreeaudiobooks.com in exchange for an honest review.
I actually enjoyed reading this book. There are some things that need to be hashed out but otherwise enjoyable. I normally dont do this but I feel I do a little to get my feelings for the book across sooo…..SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!
I wish there was more of an affection connection with Zane and Reese. She’s his mate and there is sexual chemistry off the charts. Just there is something missing from that. Could be they dont know each other and perhaps the lovey dovey stuff will come later. He’s sweet in a gruff way. I felt she was more connected with Dimitri. He was sweet and shy and there was chemistry there too. Zane is an Alpha wolf so maybe he is different. I dont know yet. I feel we havent really gotten to know these guys totally yet. Could just be the way he is. You know he cared about her because the times he was away from her he freaked out a little and hugged her and sniffed her when she was back. So…I think it could just be a Zane thing. I was on the fence about Wyatt and Trevor only because they cut themselves off from Zane and Dimitri for one thing and they kept feeding the Council on Reese’s whereabouts. This was before they met her though. Because of the marking things I know they did this to remain alive but still that was painful when Reece found out. Wade…I really love him. Yes, he’s a ghost but perhaps he’s more. Time will tell. She’s supposed to have a bond with all 5 and he can be in solid form when he chooses to be. I think the dynamics of this big ol relationship will be interesting. They are all different and have been through their own hells. This ends on a cliffhanger sooo I’m not ecstatic about that…it was disappointing.
Reese’s story is intense, to say the least. Her guys spent their time post-Mark, fighting agaibst it. Their story is sad, anxious and intriguing. This book is a cliffhanger, so be ready to get the series!
Holy Cow, I loved this book!!! I like reverse harem and thought I’d give this a try and I was so surprised how much I loved this book. I immediately grabbed the second in the series because I needed to continue reading.
Yes, it ends on a cliffhanger, which I usually hate, but it was done so well.
It starts off where we see a bit of the back story and then we go forward. I will admit that I cried a little because of our ghostly boy! I just felt so bad for him, it’s not fair. But i have high hopes for him. Zane is so alpha male that I love him and his growly and possessiveness. But remember, it’s a reverse harem, so he does share.
If you like reverse harem and paranormal then you’ll love this.
This book has it all. A Wolf shifter, a ghost, witches, demons. I was drawn in from the start to the finish. Fast paced, dangerous, steamy! Loved it!
Marked for Them by Lia Davis will knock your socks off with her cliffhanger ending. Suffice it to say I already ordered book 2. Character and world development is phenomenal. Imagine a witch, 2 psychics, a ghost and a shifter all being mated to another ghost…what a great premise. The story builds nicely but I definitely wished for more heat between them but I now know that this is a series and each book will build. I loved Zane the alpha shifter and Dimitri the elemental ghost. They are the first two characters we really get to know the best. The rest of the guys Wyatt, Wade, Trevor are last and not as developed but the basics are definitely there. The protagonist we haven’t met in person yet but the dread, anger, fear and hatred of all the characters bring him to the forfront of the suspense. This is the first book In the series and i will definitely be reading them all. This author entices her readers and keeps you hooked to the last page. Well done.
A very good read, interesting to see how much research goes into writing a book. Was hard to put down, and eager to get back to when in the middle of doing real life things.
Zane, Dimitri, Wade, Wyatt, and Trevor have been friends for a while. Unfortunately, a tragedy occurs. Years later they meet up with, Reese, the daughter of the demon who marked them. Zane happens to be her mate, but all of them are connected. What’s so bad about love from all sides.
I actually really enjoyed the premise of this story. I loved the idea with demons and witches and being demon marked. The characters were interesting to read and I can’t wait to learn about them. The story moved fast, a little too fast to be completely believable for me though.
Overall a great beginning to this new paranormal RH series.
I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started reading but found myself being drawn into each and everyone . Everyone has their own special qualities that they bring into the new family they are starting. I wanted to cry as I read about how the Demon (I’m not going to give away his name) forced himself into their lives and the heartache he caused in the very beginning. But when Wyatt found Reese and brought everyone else together was exciting, wonderful, and touching. Each relationship was new yet different in it’s own special way. Everything they were going thru is making them true mates/family. I loved it all except that I have to wait till the next book
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
This was a great beginning for this series.
Book 1 was more a background book for me.
Here, you get to know who are the players + how the demon put his mark on them.
Reese was needed to complete the new “Pack”
The demon’s mark linked them together + also gave them a boost on their natural power.
I loved the storytelling.
The storytelling grabs you + do not want to let you go.
Even though it ends in a cliffhanger, it was a good read.
I can’t wait for book 2.
What a fantastic start for a new series. It’s definitely not what I expected. I love the facts there are so many different types of paranormal involved in this book. The storyline itself draw you in holding your attention from beginning to end it does end on a wicked cliffhanger but I’m not even mad about that I’m just anxious to see what else is in store for this series. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Strengthening the link
The author has created an entirely new sense of existence with this series. I love the characters and the way their connection grows and evolves the longer they are together, and the story itself is so interesting and intense. I am not usually one for books that end in a cliffhanger, but at least book two is already available. I couldn’t put this book down once I started, so now on to book two.
I loved the concept of the story line, but the characters could have been more descriptive, it is a mellow book to read as the sex scenes are mild and doesn’t go into deep details and they don’t last very long, the reason it didn’t get 5 stars is because they it ends on a Cliff hanger and leaves you in a bad spot
Part witch and part demon Reese has hidden herself away in a metal hospital, the drugs keep her demon father from finding her. The hedge witch part of her can communicate with the dead and she can see ghosts as well.
A couple of things happen when a ghost named Wade shows up. First he is trying to convince her to leave with him to aid his friends in killing the demon that marked them and second her father Selros (the demon) shows up. Jumping through realms with Wade to evade Selros, she ends up at the Rose Lake Coven, a coven which is no more, destroyed by Selros and now inhabited by Deimitri and Zane.
Reese felt an immediate attraction to both Zane and Dimitri. One she would need to investigate further. However they needed to strengthen the wards around the coven before anything else. They didn’t need Selros popping in.
I did a lot of giggling at some of the interactions here. That would be changing soon enough.
Educationing herself on demonology and Wade finding more information on the council helps to expedite things. They did have to get Wyatt and Trevor on board though. Something that wouldn’t be easy, since Wade is Wyatt’s twin.
Lots of suspense, plenty of heat and a bit of a cliff hanger. Fortunately book two is out so it’s not terrible.
