Marked for Death (A Gray Ghost Novel Book 6) by Amy McKinley
4 Stars!!!!
Delving into the Gray Ghost world again and I wasn’t let down. The author has yet again grabbed the reader and kept them glued to the pages. The characters really just come to life and jump off of the pages. The story just flows and is full of action and adventure.
Keegan and Kara have such a complex past and link to one another. Their chemistry is just explosive. I really like how the author uses their past and brings all the meaning into their present. I like how Kara’s life is complex as well as Keegan’s. The author was able to create a twist from their pasts and bring them together. I look forward to reading more from this author.
Oh my word! I love everything about this book. The characters, the settings, the plots-are all extremely well written. I couldn’t put it down. Every book in the series is just as good as the last and I’m always left wanting to read the next one right away. Stellar job. 5 stars.
Marked for Death is the sixth book in Amy McKinley’s suspense series Gray Ghost. As all the other stories in the series, Marked for Death can be read as a standalone. I would recommend though reading the whole series as you will fall in love with the Gray Ghost team and you want to know as much as possible about the team members and their back stories.
Marked for Death gives us Keegan Hunt and Kara Medina and they go back for a very long time, fifteen years to be precise. Fifteen years is the time that Keegan has not set his foot back to Venezuela where he left Kara but now, he has to return to rescue four Americans and of course, as we are reading a suspense story sprinkled with romance then the person his team gets tangled up with and eventually whose help they need is Kara and her team.
The writer is giving us a story filled with action and danger and romance and intrigue and adventure and, you just name it! In addition to Keegan and Kara we also get the pleasure of meeting the characters from the previous books so I guess the rumours about this being the last of the series might be true, though I hope not! And if it is an end then I hope that the writer will grace us with something as amazing as this series has been!
Wow talk about action and suspense?! This one has it in spades! Turning from one page to the next I never knew what would happen next to this crew. That makes for an exciting read. As I said the story is explosive. The characters have skills and do thing I could or would never dream of doing. They all have troubled pasts that come back to haunt them. Keegan’s seemed just terrible. Somehow he was able to overcome and become better. His long time love Kara shows up and catches him off guard. From there they are busy bodies working two different cases to the same end.
Over all this is extremely action packed and I feel it’s a good addition to the series.
Marked for Death is the sixth book in the Gray Ghost series. It can be read as a standalone, but if you want to get the backstory for some of the characters, I recommend reading the series from the beginning.
This story delves into Keegan’s past. We learn about what he went through when he is sent back to a place he never wanted to return to. Marked for Death is full of drama, intrigue, danger, and of course emotional twists.
The only thing that I had trouble with while reading was that the timeline would occasionally slip into the past without a clear delineation. It was a little distracting and I would have to re-read pieces to capture the whole scene. (To be fair, this may have had something to do with the environment I was reading in).
Overall, I liked the story It keeps up a good pace and the characters are engaging. Marked for Death is a great reading adventure!
Marked for Death by Amy McKinley a five-star read that shows the true mark. This is number six in the Gray Ghost series and each one goes from strength to strength, Keegan Hunt steps up to the plate this time and brings Caraccas to life. You can feel the heat and danger to this story, you can feel the romance and become part of the story as its so well written. As always, this author keeps the action levels so high that you can’t put it down. This could be read as stand-alone, but I adore the series and have enjoyed reading them all, but I am left all a float wondering if there will be a lucky number seven.

5 +++++++ Stars
What happens when our Gray Ghost team heads to Venezuela on a rescue mission, a country where team member Keegan never wanted to revisit, only to be attacked by a woman that is one of the very reasons he did not want to go back. What you get is another amazingly awesome Gray Ghost story. This series is so far up on my list of favorite series it’s not even funny. I don’t ever want it to end but when it does I will be rereading it all over again but this time with no breaks in between, and I really am hoping its not done but I don’t see any signs of book 7… Please say it’s not over yet 🙁
This was a quick read, one that I read in one sitting and it was full of everything you expect when picking up an Amy McKinley book. You could read this as a stand alone but you’d be missing out on so so much. These characters are present in one way or the other in all of these books, and each of their stories are worth reading.
I love this author and it really doesn’t matter what she writes, I will have it. If you have not picked up one of her books yet, do yourself a favor and fix that immediately.
LOVED IT
Marked for Death by Amy McKinley is book 6 in the Gray Ghost series and is a 4 star read.
Keegan Hunt is part of a team sent to Venezuela on a rescue mission, Keegan has spent years avoiding the country so is hoping the mission is a quick one, the last thing he expects is to run into a face from his past.
Kara Medina has been sent on a mission with similar objectives to Keegan’s when she finds herself face to face with the boy who used to keep her safe, he’s now fully grown and she finds she’s still attracted to him.
The chemistry between the two lead characters is explosive, it kept me turning the pages quickly to find out their story.
Marked For Death is the sixth book in the Gray Ghosts series from Amy McKinley. These books just get better and better with each installment and that is no easy feat to accomplish with a big number of books in a series. I absolutely love how Amy McKinley can pull me in and grip my attention from page one until the very end of the novel. This book is meant to be able to be read as a stand alone novel but I would recommend that you read the other books in the series to get a feel for all the characters and their backstories of the Gray Ghost team and all they have gone through to get them to this point. This will make the reading experience that much better.
In Marked For Death we get to follow Keegan Hunt as he has to set foot in Venezuela, a place he has avoided or done his best to avoid for the last fifteen years. Throw in the sexy and complicated Kara Medina and the romantic suspense is upped a thousand times and you get to see how that will all play out for Keegan. This book has a little bit of everything for everyone, some suspense, drama, intrigue, action, and some swoon worthy romance. I hear rumors this may be our last Gray Ghost novel, I am saddened by that but I look forward to seeing what else and who else is floating around the mind of Amy Mckinley and what the stories will bring now.
This is the 6th book in the series and I have loved every single one of the previous books and this one is no different! It can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the whole series because they are all really good. The story is creative and the author has a writing style that draws you in and keeps your attention throughout the whole story. This is Keegan and Kara’s story and they were such great characters and I wanted to get more of their story and I was crossing my fingers for that HEA for them. I am very much looking forward to reading more by this author in the future! If your looking for an awesome book to help pass the afternoon this one is perfect!
Happy Reading!
Marked for Death (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 6) by Amy McKinley
5-Stars
Marked for Death (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 6) by Amy McKinley was an invigorating action-packed Romance novel. This novel can be read as a standalone from the series. It focuses on Keegan and Kara in this novel. Other characters from previous books are mentioned but are not the main focus. I was amazed with the real history of Keegan and Kara. The things they had to overcome as kids! Wow! Also, their fighting skills were hardcore. I wished as I read that I had their skills. I was also intrigued with Kara’s daughter Lily. She was sweet and She was sweet and I totally had a feeling about the surprise that came about her.
I really enjoyed the story and how easily it kept my attention. I enjoyed the different conversations between characters and how easy it was to distinguish who is speaking. There was also great world building with descriptive scenery. It was easy to visualize the setting as the story moved along. I love this series and believe this was my new favorite out of the books. I highly recommend it.
Marked for Death is the sixth book in Amy McKinley’s Gray Ghost series.
The Gray Ghost series follows a team of predominantly former military operatives who take on difficult jobs that the military is unable to cover. They have skills, training and gear and, most importantly, a commitment to working with each other. But some of them also have secrets, and when the team is called on a mission to Venezuela, Keegan avoids sharing any details of his history there with the team members that accompany him.
This is complicated when, mid-fight scene, Keegan finds himself face-to-face with Kara. Kara, who he has been dreaming about for years. Kara, who he used to protect. Both of them have jobs to do, though, and Kara has a husband. So, things are complicated.
Marked for Death is an action-packed, romantic book. There is plenty of mystery, making it a real page-turner. It’s good, after meeting Keegan in earlier books, to get to see things from his perspective and learn about his past.
For me, this is a four-star book. I really enjoy this series – it’s got great characters and well devised plots. The stories more-or-less work as standalones but I’d recommend starting from the beginning of the series to get to know the characters and the organisation. I’d recommend to anyone who enjoys action and adventure, but wants their books to have a romantic side as well.
Another amazing read in this series! This can be read as a standalone but I would want to know about everyone and everything that happened before this book, but that’s just my opinion.
Again I was taken on quite the adventure of emotions with this story.
I was left on the edge of my seat with Keegan and Kara. This was such a great story and I don’t want to give any details away for possible accidental spoilers. Read this series!
Marked for Death (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 6) by Amy McKinley was a great read. I read the prior book, but this series can stand alone. I loved Keegan and Kara, they were well developed and the tension was very well written. There is so much going on; the romance, suspense, and drama made it a great read for me. I struggled to put this book down and really enjoyed how it was written.
This is the 6th book in the Gray Ghost series and each book gets better and better! When I see Amy has a new book coming out, I know it’s going to be a must read and she never disappoints!
This second chance romantic suspense will keep you turning the pages until the very last word! Keegan and Kara’s story is action packed, suspenseful, adventurous, and romantic! It’s everything I have come to expect from this author and more! Fantastic characters and settings. Well-developed supporting characters. Excitement and plot twists. I just can’t get enough of this series!
This story can be read as a standalone but I highly recommend you start from the beginning and read them all! You won’t be disappointed!
Marked for Death is the 6th (and possibly last…sob sob) book in the brilliant Gray Ghost series by Amy McKinley. This has become one of my favourite book series’ ever and Marked for Death is another excellent book to add to the series. Like all the others in this series this book gripped me from the very beginning and left a very tight grip until the very end. Amy McKinley sure knows how to write a romantic thriller.
In this book the Gray Ghost guys travel to Caracas to rescue four Americans. What they assume will be an easy rescue turns out to be anything but. In the attempt, one of the operatives Keegan Hunt comes face to face with Kara Medina, a beautiful operative from his past life in Caracas that he’s tried to forget. What transpires is a fantastic story filled with danger, tension, suspense and a bit of romance.
The story line flows really well and is action packed. You will be gripped from the very beginning and taken on a fantastic journey that will bring out every emotion and have you gasp in amazement or horror when McKinley throws in a curveball that you do not see coming.
I also loved that we got to see the other couples from previous book as all have a role to play in the Gray Ghost company. I’m sad that this series is likely over but I’m sure that the little taster McKinley gave us in the novella Moonlit Mirage is the start of another fascinating series by her that I’ll devour just as much as this one.
I am hooked on A Gray Ghost Novel series by Amy McKinly. Her knowledge of military tactics is amazing. Her attention to detail keeps the story moving on. There are ups and downs, twists and turns, and even some loopsy loops. The characters are fully developed. There are many layers to the characters. This story is about Keegan and Kara. Keegan, a former Navy Seal, is hired to rescue Americans from Venezuela. He has history in Venezuela that he did not want his cover blown and not to mention a woman. Kara is hired to recover insect-size robots. When Keegan and Kara paths cross what will happen? Will their missions be successful? I highly recommend this book. It will keep you turning the pages faster to see what is going to happen next.
Marked for Death (A Gray Ghost Novel, book 6) by Amy McKinley. This is the 6th book in this series and its just as good as the 1st. I love the characters and all the action. Navy Seal Keegan Hunt has spent years avoiding Venezuela but when his team is hired to rescue four Americans he risks blowing his cover by returning to Caracas. Kara Medina, Keegan’s enemy and woman who haunts his dreams ambushes his mission to recover insect sized robots as the battle begins with his special ops team. She soon realizes who Keegan is and loses her focus. If they pull together they may be able to succeed on this mission but if their mutual attraction messes with them will they blow the whole rescue. The chemistry between Keegan and Kara is hot and this book will make your temp rise! These books are so good and I love the action plus romance!
5 Stars
Marked For Death is the sixth exciting instalment in the Gray Ghosts series by Amy McKinley. Once again, Ms. McKinley has upped the ante with this story. The series continues to get better and better with each new release. This is everything I expected, and more- a wonderfully exciting romantic suspense, with special ops military action, violence, danger, drama, intrigue, emotion, twists, romance, mystery, and adventure.
This book could be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the first five books so you have all the backstories for all the characters, background information, and other important details- as that will greatly enhance your reading experience here. Not to mention the other five books are really fantastic stories in their own rights! I always say, you really can’t go wrong with Ms. McKinley at the helm!
There’s a very good reason why Keegan Hunt has avoided Venezuela for the past 15 years. But with a lot at stake, this latest mission sees him risking his cover by returning. The operation throws up unexpected complications, especially in the form of Kara Medina- with whom he has a bit of a complicated history. The mission goes awry and Kara might be the key to solving their problem. But at what cost?
Another ‘edge of your seat’, engrossing and gripping read- with all the intensity, sparks, chemistry, tension, and dramatic developments I have come to expect from Ms. McKinley!
Fantastic!
Thank you, Ms. McKinley

I think I probably say it every time that I read a new book by this author but this is definitely my favourite by her so far! I was hooked from beginning to end and I honestly could not turn the pages fast enough! The action starts straight away in this fantastic romantic suspense story! I loved the characters Keegan and Kara! The sparks between these two as well as the danger and action unfolding in their surroundings of Venezuela made for one very exciting read!
Marked for Death could be read as a standalone but I absolutely would recommend reading the series in order just to fully understand the dynamics of the secondary characters. Apart from the amazing characters this author creates I just totally love her writing, it’s exciting and captivates me from the first word. I would 100% recommend Marked for Death and anything written by this wonderful author!
