Lacey ‘Pink’ Pinkerton has left behind a six figure job and her reputation as the million dollar nose–a nickname her super sense of smell earned her within the perfume industry. With her pet crow Kingston and a tabby cat named Nevermore, she is settling right into her new life in the small coastal town of Port Danby. With a flower shop opening soon and a full cast of quirky neighbors and … and friends, her new digs are exactly what she’s been looking for. Away from the hectic hustle and bustle of the city Lacey has found peace and happiness. However, her heightened sense of smell proves to be of use once again when a Port Danby neighbor turns up dead. Lacey finds herself caught up in an unexpected murder investigation alongside the handsome local detective, James Briggs. She’s determined to find the killer and solve the murder mystery before any more bodies turn up.

This is the first book I read of London Lovett’s. It is a cozy read and while I may have guessed who the killer is, I still enjoyed the characters. I love Pink. Love her interaction with Briggs. Love that she has a flower shop and that she puts her nose in police business. Interesting ability she has. I laughed at several parts such as her thoughts on getting caught in the old house or when she thinks Briggs looks like an old professor and blurts it out…..You have to read to understand the subtle humor.
This book definitely lived up the the term cozy mystery. A mystery where someone dies in a small town and one of the characters tries to amateurishly solve the mystery. A great cover to top it off. On to the next!
I just read my first book by London Lovett. I was inspired to finally start this book because it is the pick for this month of the book club I am in. I’m grateful to whomever chose this book for us to read. I much enjoyed getting to know Pink/Lacey and coming along as she sets up her new flower shop. There is much humour to be found in Port Danby as Pink navigates both her new neighbours both at work and home as well as the detective investigating the titular murder, which Lacey happens to stumble across after responding to the scream of a nearby woman. Lacey wishes to find justice for the victim, this is what sets her on the trail of the killer and at odds with Detective Briggs. All in all, I liked this story and look forward to reading more in this series and by this author in the future.
Interesting
Enjoyed the read and had to read a few more of her books!!

Cute story, easy to read.
Fun light read
Excellent book!
Excellent mystery book.
I really enjoyed reading the book. Some laugh out loud times.
Cute, clever and well done. Pink certainly has an unusual talent and I especially enjoyed that twist.
This was a very enjoyable read. I’ve never read a mystery where the heroine was blessed with an amazing sense of smell. I’ve heard about them but I think this is the first book series based on that premise and IT WORKS WELL. Not your usual cozy mystery.
Loved this book, “pink” was a fun charactor, which lead her to some interesting situations.
I’m rereading the three book I have in the series. Fun and cute, but main character seems to act a little young.
Loved this book! Now it’s on to read the whole series!
Marigolds and Murder was the first book I read by London Lovett. Her characters were fun and her main character, Lacey Pinkerton, has my sense of humor. After reading the first book in the series, I had to read the other SIX!! Can’t wait for #8!!
Loved the main characters honesty and openess
Good story with an air of mystery and actually couldn’t stop reading it!
Loved it!
Now on book 4 of this series and thoroughly enjoying them. The characters are interesting and fun. Twists & turns keep stories moving and keep me guessing at who dunnit.
