What’s a book that you didn’t expect to like, but surprised you in the end?
I got my first James Rollins book during one of Kindle’s sales. I wasn’t so sure I would like it after reading the description of a Sigma Force and Vatican spies blended with biblical history and mysteries.
Once I started reading, I could not put the book down! When I …
This is my favourite book in the Sigma series, I love the carry on of characters and each different historical thriller Rollins writes each book, I have gone back and read all his books, full of action, drama and a little touch of romance.
Map of Bones is the 2nd book in the Sigma Force series written by James Rollins. I’ve previously read the first book in the series and several other novels in this genre. The focus shifts from Painter Crowe to Grayson Pierce now, although Painter does appear in many scenes. Grayson leads a team to prevent the underground Guild from causing more …
The first James Rollins book I ever read. Amazing story from start to finish!
Like all James Rollins’ books it was fantastic!
James Rollins delivers another action-packed thriller that has more twists than a theme park full of roller coasters. The usual DARPA team launches into action to investigate a secret order with nefarious plans. Buckle up and enjoy the ride!
Typical Rollins. Not realistic but it still grabs you.
There are times in the book where it felt like a rehash of Indiana Jones, otherwise, it is a good thriller.
Great story.
Rollins never fails to keep you engrossed in the story and you can never anticipate the next move. Wonderful read.
Fast-paced realistic action. Solid historical facts. Unexpected but logical plot turns. These all create another novel that successfully combines history and theology. Perfect read for a rainy March weekend.
Great read. Lots of history…ancient.
I am hooked on just about anything James Rollins and the “Sigma Force.” Rollins writes just on the edge of believably.
Listened to the audio book. Found it kept moving.
Intriguing take on old legends and mysteries, combined with contemporary intrigue and connections linking past to present…
What a fantasy
I love all of James Rollins Sigma Force books, he takes actual science facts and mixes it with a little fiction, but creates real world possibilities that make for lots of action and thought provoking drama. Even better, he tells where to go for more info at the end so you can get a feel for how likely the villains could actually use the science …
Anything Rollins writes is a wonderful read
Rollins mixes history, religion, science and spies like no one else. Very easy to get swept away in this one.
I love all of James Rollins books because I come away from each of them having learned something and being hopeful for the future. This was no exception.
