Manscaping- the fashion and style column on The Playbook online men’s magazine…and Mia’s new job. Well…internship. It was only for six weeks, just so she could get the credits she needed to graduate from university, but they were paying her, so…yeah, her new job.
The only problem?
She would be working directly under Liam. Not that she had a problem being under Liam. She’d been there once before … once before and it had been the best night of her life, but yeah, that was exactly the problem. She’d been under Liam before and now he was going to be her boss.
He probably didn’t even remember her. He’d never called or tried to contact her after a night she would never forget so maybe it hadn’t been so unforgettable for him…but now she would be working directly under him.
Yeah.
That was going to be a problem.

Definitely Recommend Book 2 of The Playbook Series, Manscaping by Emma Lea!
Saying I recommend Book 2 Manscaping seems like such an understatement. This book is utterly amazing, terrific, relateable, remarkable, hopefully you get my point. But, that’s before I even get to Liam, after ahhhhh, swoon-worthy is the first word to pop into my mind & permanently is branded with the name Liam, if only the guy was out there IRL, ahhh. Anyway, I don’t want to give any details or spoilers because every last page is so fantastic, that putting the book down will be the furthest thing from your mind once you begin this MUST READ! Yes, ‘must read’, is overused on alot of books that are very good, even maybe great, but when referring to the book Manscaping, it’s 100% accurate! I didn’t read The Billionaire’s Trap or In Like Flynn before reading Manscaping but I definitely will now, the reason, because I read Manscaping and thoroughly enjoyed it & want more. While the author may have her doubts about writing or may have other things going on in her life (a little tidbit included in the advanced review copy), my only response to the author would be, please erase any doubt from your mind, readers will & do love the books you pen & please, please don’t make us wait 1+ years or more for Book 3 of The Playbook Series! Because, even October 2019 is too long to wait for Book 3, or for that matter definitely don’t want The Playbook Series to end. And, yes if any doubts, your writing & this series is that good, exceptional actually, your readers won’t want to wait for any book in this series & want the books in the series to continue even after Book 3, keep them coming & we will read them!
While I did receive an ARC from the author via BookSprout I also purchased the book in support of the author, and I am volantarily leaving my own opinion with this unsolicited, voluntary review.

A quick enjoyable read.
I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters bringing a greater sense of reality to her story.
The writing draws you in and keeps you interested until the end.
The chemistry between the H and h is great plus their attitudes and events going on make the story even richer.

Mia is starting an internship that she needs to complete her education. She and Liam have history and they are put in an awkward position working together and they did not always deal well with that. But it was a good read following along with how they navigated their circumstances. I really liked Mia. She was a klutz with drive and she powered through. And I did find myself rooting for Mia and Liam even when their behavior frustrated me.

This was an excellent read. I loved Liam. He was just too yummy. It took a while to warm up to Mia . There was just something about her that was off for me.
Riveting! A compelling, amazing, enjoyable, and exciting second book in The Playbook series! The storyline is well thought out, emotionally deep, well written, and relatable. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is intense and off the charts. This story will keep you captivated from beginning to end. I look forward to the next book in the series. Book 2 of the playbook series is a great stand alone but so much more fun when you’ve read In Like Flynn and the Billionaire books by Emma Lea. I’ve been anxiously waiting to read Liam and Mia’s story! As always the author delivers a book that’s hard to put down. I read it all in one night (stayed up all night to do it) The emotions are complex and the moments are hot hot hot! Can’t wait to read more!!

Really enjoyed reading this book a lot. Liam was difficult to figure out. He already had a rough life and was really going through it. His boss/friend made it worse for him. He knew why and should have said so but he tortured himself around her on purpose.

~sigh~ Liam almost might as well be a regency gothic hero. He’s got all the brooding moodiness to fit the part, and he’s got a wagon train of baggage to explain it. Having read Jonathon’s story already, I was very excited to learn Liam’s opinion of those events. I loved Mia to bits and pieces. I knew I was going to the moment we were introduced to her and I learned that she was a bit of a klutz. We’re kindred spirits in that way. I have some very split reactions to this pair. I badly want to take them and shake some sense into them and at the same time, I want to squeeze them tight in a great big bear hug and tell them it’s all going to turn out okay. I adored watching the antics of their families and friends, but I definitely wanted to shake some sense into that group of interfering busybodies. I’m now counting down until I can get my hands on the next book in the series.

Romance pleasant to read, sometimes funny, sometimes touching
Good romance, well written and quite funny. On the other hand, some points can be a little predictable
The characters are good and pretty funny.
Mia got an internship in a fashion magazine. Her only problem is that in the past she spent a pretty hot night with her new boss, Liam, and he does not want to be tempted or have a intern.
Faced with this opposition, Liam’s partner, Carter, manages to put them in opposition to a project.
However, the situation becomes complicated because of their attraction, Mia’s fairly conservative and protective family pressure, Liam’s position, and models for the competition that arent helping Mia and Liam.

Wonderful characters and a sweet love story!

Mia and Liam had just one night together before his family drama made any relationship impossible. He still thought about their night together but did not expect to find her as his new intern at work. He never wanted an intern but working close with her would make their situation more difficult, since he was now her boss. Mia had never forgotten their night together and was disappointed that he never contacted her afterwards. Having to work closely with him when he made it clear she was not wanted just added to the hurt she felt. This book is the second book in the series and it was not necessary to have read the first book to enjoy this book. I loved the characters in this story, Mia was a feisty young woman who was determined to succeed in her new career while Liam had had lot of hidden resentment to overcome caused by his father’s abandonment. These two lovers deserve that happiness that came their way in the end.

An imbalance in power.
Mia is interning at a magazine and her new boss? Her hook up, Liam who ghosted on her after doing the deed.
I never felt like Liam made up for ghosting.

Mia and Liam had a one night stand awhile back. They meet again unexpectedly when she’s hired to intern with him at his men’s on line magazine. The minute they see each other the sparks fly. This is their story. The author brings a multitude of characters and does a great job building the story, filling it with drama and suspense as well as the steamy romance.I had a few chuckles with Mia’s creative curse words and the banter between characters. It’s well written, moves fluidly and had me hooked from start to finish. I enjoyed and would recommend reading.

Mia & Liam had a one night stand awhile ago & he ends up being her boss when she interns at an online men’s magazine. Coming from a family of boys she’s used to men but her fudging her swearing got a bit much for me.
Both are pitted against the other for an article & there’s some manipulating by several people in regards to that & their relationship. Johnathon from the billionaires series is related to Liam & is one of the things causing him friction as well.
There are quite a few characters in play & some knowledge of previous stories is helpful.
While these two give into their temptations & their relationship seems to be going somewhere there’s a lot of things standing in their way plus of course doubt & some silly mistakes which come into play.
Overall I enjoyed this story.

Liam and Mia’s story was a good one. With her inability to get her mother’s voice out of her head when it comes to swear words Mia is very creative. This causes several laugh out loud moments. I enjoyed this book and it was just the right length.
