If you haven’t read this series by Pam Godwin… you are missing out. She is such an amazing writer an able to make you feel everything that’s happening!
Manipulate is the newest, and is out today. Ricky and Martin are determine to find the leader of the cartel dealing in human trafficking.. and they’ll even go to prison to do so.
Tula is in prison for a crime she did not commit, and has been brutalized by the Mexican police before, wrongly, put there. She has protected and accepted the protection of the very cartel leader Ricky and Martin seek.
When they spot Tula, something clicks, and when she is tasked with seducing them, they click almost immediately. The men have a limited time there, and when they leave, the men fear for her… but she has plans.
What plans? You’ll have to read to find out. But I can promise you that you will not be bored reading this! It’s is packed with action!
*Reminder, although these books are standalones, they are interconnected and a continuation of a story, so they MUST be read in order*
Not surprisingly Manipulate gripped me from the beginning. The introduction of Tula was a brutal one. Tula lives a normal, quiet life as a school teacher in Arizona. When she receives a call from her sister Vera that she is in trouble Tula goes to help her. Sadly, she should have stayed home. Tula is falsely accused and thrown in a Mexican prison. To survive she aligns herself with the monster that Ricky and Martin are after.
Ricky and Martin are Freedom Fighters and Van and Liv’s former slaves. Their latest mission has taken them to Mexico. They have arrived at the prison to gather info to take down Hector La Rocha. They soon discover that their way in is with Tula Gomez. Tula has been tasked with seducing both men and they are alright with that. The attraction is instant and out of this world hot. But they are in a constant war with each other and themselves. Building trust is hard when your life is on the line every second. The dynamic between Ricky and Martin was FIRE. Fans of this series know that these two care about each other but in Manipulate you finally find out how deep it is. You also learn why Martin is so closed off from Ricky and why he can’t forgive Van. Ricky has his work cut out for him trying to get through to Martin. Although the circumstances are brutal, going to Mexico, and meeting Tula is the best thing that could have happened to them. Tula becomes their glue.
I thought the chemistry between Ricky and Martin was insane. I could give the book five stars just for Ricky and Martin’s dynamic. I also loved the little touch of humor with Ricky and Martin’s names. I adored Tula. For a girl that was just a school teacher she was a fighter. I don’t know how she held on as long as he did, but she deserved her HEA.
This was a great addition to the series. I would have to say it is one of my favorites. Anytime I get scenes with Van I am one happy girl, so I was excited. PG sets the stage for more baddies to enter the story and it is great set up for Luke’s story. I don’t know how she keeps this series flowing without it becoming stale. I can’t wait to see where the last few books take us. Well done!
Manipulate is an intense, dark and dangerous romance. It’s the sixth book in the Deliver series. I recommend reading the books in order. This series continues to grow darker and more twisted with the introduction to Hector La Rocha.
Petula (Tula) Gomez, an English teacher from Arizona, was mistaken for someone else and ended up in the most heinous prison in Mexico. In order to survive she had to pledge her allegiance to Hector La Rocha, the head of the the most aggressive, organized and violent cartel in existence.
Ricky Saldivar and Martin Lockwood (aka Ricky Martin) are part of a group of vigilante freedom fighters determined to take down the La Rocha cartel. They planted themselves in the Mexican prison to get the job done. However, their plans changed when they meet Tula Gomez. Their connection quickly deepens as Martin begins to break his seven year silence about his past. Their intimate bond entangles them but their relationship cannot move forward without their secrets being revealed.
Tula, Ricky and Martin had endured past violent encounters creating an INTENSE connection between them. Menage heat level: Scorching! The author also did a fantastic job creating doubt in regards to the leader of the cartel. I had no idea which way the story was heading until the end. 5 stars
This was amazing. A twisted tale with a few surprises thrown in
How can life turn in such an unpredictable way? Tula Gomez enjoys her life as a school teacher in Arizona. The comforts of her quiet life bring a sense of peace and stability. The only chaos that barrel’s through Tula’s life, is the connection to her sister back in Mexico. Whenever Vera calls, Tula jumps into action. So it was no surprise that Tula found herself crossing the border into Mexico when her sister called needing money.
Nothing could have prepared Tula for the way her life would change from that one phone call. After the inability to locate her sister, Tula finds herself arrested and charged with a crime that she didn’t commit. Facing incarceration at one of the country’s most dangerous prisons, Tula knows that she will have to be cunning and resourceful to stay alive. A little intervention from one of the biggest cartel leaders may be the answer that Tula is looking for.
Cell Block 3 is Tula’s home for the duration of her incarceration. It is a lonely existence to stay out of harms way, so it is no surprise that the recent addition of two Americans to the prison would capture Tula’s attention. At the direction of the cartel, Tula is tasked with the job of discovering the reason these two prisoners are in essence ‘ghosts’. As Tula takes on the task of uncovering more about the American duo, she finds an attraction that will bring the two men closer in more ways than one. Secrets are swirling all around the prison, and this trio will find themselves in the center of all of the turmoil and tragedy.
What a tragic and captivating novel!! Manipulate is the latest addition to the Deliver series by Pam Godwin. Don’t let the tagline of Dark Romance push you away. Pam is known for her twists and turns that you simply will not be able to pull yourself away from. Tula’s story is raw and full of shocking revelations. The addition of Martin and Ricky will add just the right touch to a trio that is sure to set your reader on fire!! Manipulate is dark, destructive, and full of unbridled passion! Make sure to read the previous books in the series so you don’t lose any elements of connection between the characters. Manipulate is definitely a must have for Pam Godwin fans!!
The Deliver saga continues…and quite deliciously I might add. We get more dark and heart-stomping goodness, all wrapped up in a twisted, little package, written with the expertise of a genius wordsmith named Pam Fucking Godwin.
In this whirlwind tale of drug cartels, sex trafficking, and Freedom Fighters, lurks a beautiful and sexy AF love story. The passion and love and devotion created between Tula, Martin & Ricky was so intoxicating, so achingly beautiful, I could barely stand it.
Thoughts of them lingered on my mind when I wasn’t reading.
My imagination ran wild, with naughty, little thoughts of myself in place of the heroine.
Never mind that this story was set in one of the worst prisons in Mexico. I still wanted to be Tula.
Those deep, dark secret fantasies you have… you know the ones…yeah, they’re in here.
I wanted to feel the love she gave, I wanted to take the love she received.
These three together were pure perfection.
My heart fluttered and my girly parts tingled.
“Three hearts without walls fused into a single soul without bars. Lost and found. Locked up and freed. Together, they became an unbroken forever.”
The relationship between Martin & Ricky – so complicated, so powerful, so captivating. The way they communicated without even speaking. A whole conversation could be had with just one look. The history they shared, the way they needed each other, looked out for each other, loved each other, made my heart feel full. To watch their relationship from the beginning of the book to end was SO EFFING GOOD. The tension, the chemistry, the heart-warming love… they stole my heart.
Tula was the perfect addition to their alliance… such a strong and kick-ass woman. Capable of protecting, caring, and loving so deeply. I was in awe of their relationship. The way they would do anything for each other. Before she met them, she had endured so much pain and suffering, it was hard not to cry for her. But the way she learned to survive and prevail, it was easy to admire her.
As this series continues, it keeps getting better and better. Each book is phenomenal in its own way, each one telling an integral part of this emotionally intense saga, making you want, need, and crave the next one. I cannot wait for book 7.
I can’t recommend this enough. If you’ve read and loved the first five books in the series, don’t even hesitate, read this one.
Tula Gomez thought her trip was going to be just another routine visit to her sister in Mexico. But her luck ran out and she ended up all alone in a notorious prison full of violent criminals. She did whatever it took to survive, until new inmates Ricky Saldivar and Martin Lockwood shook up her foundation and risked crumbling her future.
Right from the beginning, this book set the tone for the rest of the story – dark, depraved, and violent. I was able to immerse myself in the oppressive ambiance by the characters’ experiences.
I loved how Tula was such a tough character for having to go through those nightmares. Ricky was sexy and amusing but my heart went to Martin because I’m drawn to characters with a certain past. Tula and Martin were well developed but I wanted to know more about Ricky’s past.
The sex scenes were hot and intense especially the ones that were on the verge or brutality. I enjoyed the overall storyline. However, a certain character’s turning point seemed too easy. I would have preferred more angst accompanying the decision. Also, I have to say that I really liked the villains. Yes both of them.
Manipulate is a story survival and turning back to life. I would appeal to readers who enjoy a graphic dark erotic romance.
I think this has been my favorite in the series so far! Definitely can’t be read as a standalone, but why would you want to miss out on any of the books in this series anyway! I loved it!
Holy crap this book was freaking good! What Tula went through in that prison was heartbreaking. But Martin’s trauma completely tore me apart. I loved his friendship with Ricky and how that trust and Tula’s nurturing started to break down his walls. Such a gritty and emotional journey throughout this story. So many twists and horrifying discoveries. I was shocked and then surprised I was shocked. The book was so well written with the way the plot unfolded and the build up to the next story. This series has been dark, delicious and one I will recommend to everyone.
AND
This book was beautifully deranged! I loved every single dark and twisted word. All the secrets and intense scenes had me reeling. I’ll be honest though… some parts made me cringe. I loved it. It made me feel. That’s what kick ass books are supposed to do.
Pam is a must read author for me. Hands down anytime someone asks who or what should I read she’s in the top 5 authors I recommend. This series is one of them as well. Each book gets darker and more depraved and my dark book loving heart just gets happier.
This book was amazing and I devoured it. Can’t wait for the next one to see what twisty stuff the queen comes up with. I’m sure it’ll be epic as all her others have been!
Ok, these are probably the most broken characters in this series. There are scenes of abuse, violent rape and captivity and holy smokes does Pam know how to write these scenes. Definitely not for the faint of heart. Be warned this book is dark and graphic but within all this darkness is love and three coming together to help each other heal.
Manipulation is book six in the Deliver series. This series must be read in order. This series is so good you won’t want to miss out on them.
We now get Ricky and Martins story. They are planted in a notorious prison. There they meet Tula and their lives change forever.
This is an epic series for dark lovers. Expect the unexpected with this author.
Be warned there are triggers in this book. I’m so looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.
Petula Gomez, a schoolteacher from Arizona receives a distressed phone call from her sister Vera from their hometown in Mexico.
Rushing to her childhood home, Tula finds no signs of her sister, and on her way home is wrongly arrested.
After a horrific ordeal she end up in Jaulaso, the most notorious prison in Mexico.
She has to find a way to survive her sentence and make it through each day.
Freedom Fighters Ricky and Martin have to find a way to bring down the child sex trafficking ring organised by the La Rocha Cartel. Intelligence suggests that the leader Hector La Rocha is in fact in Jaulaso, and with help from Matias they end up closer to their target in Jaulaso.
This book is gripping and ruthless.
A brilliant addition to the Deliver Series.
I don’t even know where to start with this book, it was everything. The storyline, the connection and chemistry between Ricky, Martin and Petula just blew my mind. And considering where they were, the darkness and despair that surrounded them at every turn, it’s awe inspiring that they could find the joy and love that they did. No spoilers from me, atleast I hope I have not spoiled anything, but we all know what they were sent to the prison to do, take down the biggest trafficker of women and children in Mexico any way they could. They however did not expect a woman to be there and certainly not to feel an attraction towards her. It seems like prison might just be the best thing that had ever happened to any of them. Seriously guys, this one is hot! Some curve balls and a lot of tension and despair, some seriously sick torture and messed-up situations and hopefully you guys will love it as much as I did. The author certainly knows how to captivate us with her words and they always create all the emotions. A well deserved score of all the stars I can give!
I think this three people is the most broken character is this series so far.
They share the same abuse, violent rape and captivity in their life.
They are broken and need each other to become whole again.
Manipulate is a heartbroken, dark and depraved, evil so dark story of three people who connect through their darkness.
But, as always with Pam’s writing, there’s this beuty that just captivated you while you being brave to go through her darkness.
Like the MM factor in this story. At first when I read the blurb, I was like so hot it’s MFM. But then that MM scene… I like to point out first that I’m not a fan of MM. But Pam, she write the most heart-breaking, beautiful, strong connection that got me the chill during a MM steamy scene. That is more than “ohmylawwwd so hot” moment!
Manipulate definitly a must read with lots of trigger warning not for the fainted heart
Wow…. just wow!! This book is amazing, it’s hard to read at times, but it’s also absolutely addicting. First off, this book is dark. Like, I had to stop reading several times because our poor Tula was put through hell. Also, it’s MMF, which has MM scenes and that’s not something I usually enjoy reading. Somehow, Godwin made the characters and their actions seem natural and understandable. You could feel their attraction went beyond the physical. Ricky, Martin, and Tula were so perfect for each other and they each connected with the other two in a way that made it impossible for anyone to feel like the third wheel. Godwin is a master at dark, taboo stories and Manipulate is her masterpiece. 5 dark, thrilling, sexy stars.
Manipulate is the 6th book in the Deliver series. I had to take a few days before I wrote my review. To digest what I had read. I love ménage romance books and there were some hot scenes. But I think the location (Mexican prison) was a little tough for me.
By the way, I highly suggest you read the other books in the order that Pam Godwin has provided in her blurb for this book.
This book is dark and for those that have triggers proceed with caution.
While reading Manipulate I felt like I was reading it with my hands over my eyes with a little opening so that I could read the words. Manipulate was suspenseful, it was dark and dirty and I couldn’t put this book down.
Now I am looking forward to Unshackle #7. It can’t come out fast enough!
Devastatingly wonderful and scorching hot!!! Lana~White Hot Reads
The depths and strengths that Ricky, Martin and Tula have gone through is nothing short of a miracle. Tula surviving 2 years in a horrible Mexican prison shows how strong she truly is. Ricky and Martin are best friends with so much love and lust for each other that is radiates off of them. While in prison to try and get information on the La Rocha Cartel, they encounter Tula and decide that they want her. This book is scorching hot and absolutely loved it even though there are some hard situations to read about.
Absolutely BRILLIANT! Ricky, Martin, and Tula’s story is nothing less than hot! So many twists and turns, Godwin keeps you completely immersed in the story. It is great to see characters we know and love from previous books as the story line continues. Ricky and Martin are both such complex characters- so much more than I ever imagined from them, such a good surprise. Tula is a wonderful, stong female character- a great addition to this series. Aleeady can’t wait for the next one!
I love Pam books and this series! Could not put this one down. It picks you up right from chapter one. Pam writes about characters that pull you in and makes you have goosebumps. When I started this series I knew they were a little dark and a little on the violent side. Don’t get me wrong they all turn out with a happy ending that makes you want to cry and scream.
When I started Ricky and Martens book I knew they would be good. She threw me for a loop when Tula started the chapters. OMG did she start out with a bang. I could not put this book down. This books makes you cringe, cry, have goosebumps, pray for something happy and most of all pump your fist in the air for Tula because she is a bad ass.
I loved that Ricky and Martin was more about helping her then themselves. They are the real guys in the world that you wish to met. I don’t want to give away anymore. So please read this book or series. You will not regret picking them up. I received this book as a ARC honest review. So my honest review is I loved it, will continue to read more of Pam books and can’t wait for the Luke story.
These three, this story, oh my heart! It broke, it cracked, it bled, and it didn’t want to let them go. Tula, Ricky, and Martin, poor, sweet Martin, they were innocents who knew evil. Ricky, the evil set him free, and he settled into his existence. Tula, the evil was always like a cloud hanging over her, and then it became real, and she resisted it. Martin knew evil too young, and it still darkened his heart, his soul, his being.
And I knew, I knew they were too good and their story would hurt too much. As soon as I started the book, I sensed Tula’s inner heart and soul, and I cringed, because I knew it would be bad, and I would hurt for her. But I always got her strength, her ability to carry on, and her desire to survive. I wasn’t wrong, and she showed it at every turn, every twist, every pain inflicted upon her
Ricky was who he was, and he was perfect. He had been set free and found himself from the wrongs done to him. He absorbed it, and became the man he was, but he still didn’t get what he wanted, a true relationship with his best friend Martin. Martin, who was still broken inside from events before, and after solidified that break. It takes Tula to show him his shadows, and it takes both her and Ricky to bring it out in the open. To have him start to heal, to start to feel, and to start to find who he is now
And there is a bunch of my favourite deviant Van in this story. That crazy, twisted, man gets to show his crazy, twisted, and loving ways, and why he is the king!
