TRIGGER WARNING!
Oh My God!
From the first chapter Pam Godwin drops you into the underbelly of the Mexican Cartel and corrupt militia/police force. I swear I could feel every thing Tula was feeling, from her initial carefree, indulge herself feelings in the beginning to her anger and worry for her sister and then the horror when she was taken and tortured.
That first chapter…. OH MY LORD!!!!! I saw it coming and I thought I new what was coming and I was wrong!!! I had no idea, it felt so real and intense that every time I think about it, I still shiver. Even after everything she endured, I loved that she didn’t give up, she kept looking for ways to survive, and fight through this story.
Ricky and Martin were both kidnapped and enslaved, now they work with others to take out sex traffickers. They go undercover in one of Mexico’s worst prisons to get all the information they can to take out the La Rocha Cartel and it’s leaders.
Ricky is openly bisexual and wants Martin so badly but Martin has been celibate since escaping slavery seven years ago.
Martin was horribly abused as a boy and the kidnaping and slavery damaged him in ways that he’s afraid to be intimate.
It is heartbreaking to know that these sorts of things are happening out in the real world, Pam Godwin doesn’t sugar coat anything, she brings you in, makes you feel all of it. As a survivor of abuse sometimes these things are difficult to read, but the way she does it has real meaning for the story and I appreciate that it wasn’t just an ugly scene tossed in to shock readers. I love the idea of the Freedom Fighters working to end human trafficking and I loved how these three connected and in turn took care of each other under impossible circumstances.
There’s so much happening in this book and surprises coming at you along the way that, if you can take the heat you’ll not want to put this down, plus the foundations for the next book which I can’t wait to read. I voluntarily received this book for an honest review.

Just when I think this series couldn’t get any darker. Oh it gets so much more. After the last book Take, I wasn’t ready to get ripped back into this world and oh myyyyy. Things got so much more complicated. Petula, Ricky, and Martin have this remarkable bond and honestly the sweetest love I’ve ever seen bloom in a horrifying prison. The plot twists had me racing! I’m so antsy to learn what’s going to happen next because many secrets have been unveiled. I’m even more antsy to find out the which couples are going to be in the last two books. Unshackle is next so bring it on!
I love Pam Godwin’s writing. I admire her creativity to write and admire her characters. Her writing consumes me.
This series just keeps getting hotter and grittier. This hot thrilling story is about Tula, Ricky and Martin. The twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat. I couldn’t stop reading until I finished this dark emotionally gripping story. Pam Godwin has taken this series to epic levels and the story she weaves is phenomenal. Love this series and I can’t wait for the next book
Pilates is supposed to be a very mindful practice yet I was so engrossed in this story that I couldn’t resist taking peeks at my book in between moves! The same was true while I was spending time with friends at a BBQ! That’s how good this freaking book is!!!! I wish I had words to describe how astoundingly talented Pam Godwin is! All I can say is that I literally felt like I was a fly on the wall in the disgusting jail in the middle of nowhere Mexico. My only complaint about the entire book is that it’s told in third person so at times I wasn’t sure who “he” was. Other than that, it’s 100,000% perfection!!! If you have not read the other books in this series, you’re missing out!! Start from book one and enjoy the incredible journey!!!
Tula was just wanting to be a teacher and make the world a better place, the. She was taken in Mexico because of her sister and her world turned out to not be what she thought it ever really was. In walks Ricky/Martin and it becomes another world again…and the save that one from sexual slavery and child molesters..sexy, exciting, and sounding like there’s more to come
A five star read loved Martin, Ricky and Tulas story. Strength and courage and a true story of redeeming and finding light through the darkness.
Petula’s is young school teacher who is called by her sister to help her. But when she arrives in Mexico everything goes wrong and Tula finds herself in a very dire situation.
Along come Ricky and Martin, and they help make Tula’s situation better but it’s only temporary.
Pam Godwin’s series gets better and better with the characters she creates and the scenarios her words weave.
I am loving this series!
Tula, Ricky and Martin are one hell of a threesome!!! The depth and complex relationship that is shared and explored between these 3 had me from start to finish completely and utterly amazed. Hot, Steamy, and erotic are definite ways to describe many of the scenes in the book. However there is so much more to it. The uncovering of Martins childhood, Ricky’s determination to let nothing affect his bond with Martin and Tula was it really all accidental or carefully orchestrated what happened to her???
Petula “Tula” Gomez is a schoolteacher who led a quiet life until she is thrust into Jaulaso, the toughest prison in Mexico. Fighting for her freedom and life, each day is about survival and making the right alliances. With years left on her sentence, Tula finds a distraction but it complicates her choices.
“To survive, she needed to become like them. Wrapping herself in coldness, she erected shields, closed mental doors, and formed layers of impenetrable resilience.”
As Freedom Fighters, Ricky Saldivar and Martin Lockwood share a commonality and have a close friendship. Though Ricky hasn’t hidden his feelings, Martin is a closed book when it comes to his past and moving forward. Focused on bringing down the La Rocha cartel, Martin and Ricky begin their current mission.
“I promise you don’t want my brand of hurt.”
From the outset, the subject matter and tone is dark, gritty and gripping. As the storyline develops, Tula faces a constant battle of knowing who she can trust and how to protect herself. For Martin and Ricky, they are continually faced with danger but hope Tula will be the weak link they need. As lines are crossed, loyalties are questioned causing conflict.
For me, the strongest aspect of this story is the relationship between Martin and Ricky. I adored their friendship and how their connection is combustible. With Tula, her actions are admirable in how she adapts and the dynamic between her and two villainous characters really propelled the plot. The overall landscape of corruption and violence has a realistic edge that is intriguing and equally cringeworthy.
Manipulate is an erotic dark romance that delivers in action and a solid storyline. With the characters all vying for their own purposes, this book is aptly titled.
I rarely read MMF and when it’s part of the story I go in with an open mind. I can say so far this is the most intriguing story I have read!!! The relationship between Ricky and Martin, who would have thought. Then to bring in Tula, loved it!!! I cant wait to wait for more of this series!!!
What did I think about this book??
Fanfreakingtastic! That’s what I think about this book.
Book 6 in Pam Godwin’s Deliver Series is totally hot! And the hot factor goes way beyond the sexual escapades of her 3 characters, Tula, Ricky and Martin.
Each of these people have their own story. They are flawed. Imperfect. Lost. Lonely.
But together, they have this dynamic that works. Man. Does it work. The chemistry between these three is unstoppable. The intimacy…….it just works. Throw in a little domination, add a dash of submission and you have this amazing mix of sexy and romantic, fresh and exciting.
And the sex. Blew. Me. Away.
There are authors out there that do the MFM/MM on the regular and they are very good at it.
Pam Godwin rocked the relationship between Tula, Ricky and Martin. I want more, more, more of them.
Not just for what happens behind closed doors………although that is definitely a bonus!!
I believe that these three are going to do their best to save the world, one sex trafficking victim at a time.
**FULL REVIEW**
First, let me start by saying…this is a MMF story.
Second, I loved it.
I don’t remember the last time I’ve read a book as sensual as this (yes, I said sensual—you’ll understand why it wouldn’t seem to fit and yet, it fits perfectly), and I don’t know if I’ve ever read a MMF book that had me wondering many things…like, where does she come up with this stuff??
From the very beginning, I was sucked into a story I’ve loved since book one (this is book 6 and MUST be read in order—trust me), and as each one comes out, I devour these pages in hours. Only now, I have to wait for the next story to be finished. Sweet, sweet torture.
Tula, Martin, and Ricky are forced to face their demons and find new ones in this fast-paced action, slow burn romance story. I found myself cringing one minute and completely hot and bothered the next. A page-turner for sure.
Following the mission of the Freedom Fighters, learning of rival cartels, lost family members, and new experiences…Tula has found the one whom her soul loves…except it’s a package deal, and if one can get past his own dark past long enough to see the love that surrounds him…they’ve got it made.
Except, they’re in prison. In Mexico. Surrounded by some of the most dangerous men in the world.
You’ve got to read what happens—the strength in numbers, the secrets uncovered, the loss and the love… it’s all here in one sexually charged, violent, drama-filled book that you won’t put down.
I cannot wait to see what happens next and find out if the price of a life is worth its weight in love.
**5 Family Ties, Stars**
WOW! Pam Godwin has done it again! I have been anxiously awaiting Manipulate (Book #6 in the Deliver series) and could not be more thrilled with the story! (By the way, this series MUST be read in order so stop here and go back to Deliver (#1) if you haven’t already started) The story of Ricky and Martin is perfect! I could not put it down!!! Tula Gomez is amazing! She’s smart, she’s kind, she’s ruthless when it comes to getting what she wants and she’s exactly what Ricky and Martin need to get their relationship to move forward. I instantly fell in love with her character and loved the wild, crazy journey her story entailed. As always, Pam Godwin delivers perfect dialogue/banter and oh so erotic scenes! She is a true master at writing M/M/F stories, as I’ve learned from another of her series, and Ricky, Martin and Tula’s love story did not disappoint one bit. The hotness is off the charts! But so much more than that, the quality and depth of their relationships with each other and as a whole are so wonderful and so perfectly written. You feel as if you know them all so well and I found myself with tears at several instances.
Thank you Pam for another incredible story in the Deliver series!!! I’m again waiting with baited breath for the next installment!
Emotionally gripping and scorching installment
—>>> An innocent American schoolteacher searching for her sister is callously thrown in jail when the police are done with her. Her next destination, an isolated and violent Mexican prison, where Tula’s spirit, loyalty and mettle is tested, and she becomes the impetus by which Ricky and Martin, two men with their own agenda, take their close friendship to intimate levels, opening the door to a soul-cleansing reckonings of dark and violent pasts. In this cartel-controlled prison, everyone is fending for themselves and just trying to survive another day, but when these two sexy and out-of-her-league males make their intentions clear, Tula takes the opportunity offered and allows herself to experience pleasure while she still can for the duration of her five-year sentence. There IS a Tula in Ricky Martin
In this emotionally gripping and scorching installment, no relationship is as it seems. Foes are made into alliances, friends become lovers. Haunting pasts and equally weighted twists are skillfully written into this slow-building scorcher of a dark romance between three people who are desperate to keep the heaven they found in each others’ arms.
When Talu, a school teacher, ventured to Mexico to visit her sister her vacation takes a deadly turn when she finds herself imprisoned in one of the most dangerous prisons in Mexico, Jaulaso Prison. With many years left on her sentence and knowing that she won’t survive on her own she becomes part of the La Rocha Cartel even though it will force her to do things she wouldn’t do under ordinary circumstances.
Martin and Ricky are the two new prisoners that the La Rocha Cartel are suspicious of with good reason. Talu is tasked with getting close and personal with the two men and to find out what their real story is and report back to the Cartel.
As the chemistry ignites between Talu and the two men so does the angst and danger. This story leaves you on edge constantly wondering what lays around the corner for them and keeping your fingers crossed that they will emerge with their lives. As the tensions escalate will Talu need to choose between protecting herself and protecting the men she has grown to love?
Manipulate by Pam Godwin is a raw, dark, forbidden and intense story that will have the reader on an emotional rollercoaster ride from start to finish. This is Ricky Martin and Tula’s story.
I don’t want to give any spoilers away so let me just say this is a M/M/F ~M/F|/M read.
Ever since reading the previous book Take, I have been dying for Ricky and Martin’s love story. Then in Manipulate comes Tula between them. I wasn’t expecting that to happen but I read on, to see how things between the three played out. Theirs is a raw, dark, erotic, intense and intriguing emotional rollercoaster ride. I can’t give any spoilers away but what I can tell you is this is an amazing addition to the Deliver series. I look forward to the next book in this series.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ********
DAMN. This book was so good. This series is a favorite of mine and this book definitely kept up. The chemistry between these three characters is so hot and the story is just so good. Ready for the next one!
I know that there are readers who don’t quite enjoy the darker elements of romance novels, but for those who curious enough to dip a toe or ten into the proverbial pond, you can’t go wrong with Pam Godwin. Her Deliver series has a strong following, and while it doesn’t have fluffy moments that involve the usual trappings, there is very much a romance in each of the books. In the case of Tula, Martin, and Ricky, the connection among the three of them is an undeniable one. There’s already a set history between Martin and Ricky, what with being the best of friends who have a stronger connection that goes beyond friendship. When Tula enters the picture, the dynamic between Martin and Ricky shifts, making things even more interesting than they already are. I loved having this ringside seat to everything that was happening with these three and the different nuances with the variety of relationship dynamics involved–Tula with Martin, Tula with Ricky, Tula with both; Martin with Ricky and vice-versa and them with Tula. The series arc regarding human trafficking is still very much present all throughout the book and how that ties in to the three made for some intense and suspenseful moments. Godwin made me believe that Tula, Martin, and Ricky belonged together, and that is what ultimately made Manipulate a five-plus-starred novel.
Tula couldn’t believe how her life has turned out to be. She went from living a nice quiet life to this. Tula knows she has to toughen up in order to survive. Martin and Ricky have been the best of friends but there are limits to their friendship because of Martin’s past. Tula, Martin and Ricky each have their own secrets to why they are in the situation they are in.
I loved the dynamics of this book. I loved personalities of these characters. You could definitely tell how strong and alpha Martin is and how he needs to be in control. Ricky on the other hand doesn’t need to be in control but wants to break through Martin’s control. Tula is just trying to get by but she isn’t naive by any means. I loved the chemistry between them and darkness of this book.
