** spoiler alert ** Wren is desperate to escape the pain of her past. Maniac can’t help, but be protective of the woman he was put in charge of. He is determined to help her heal. Will Wren be able to realize not all men are the same? Will Maniac be able to get revenge and justice for her?
Have to say that this book showed the perfect Alpha determined to do whatever he could for his woman. I didn’t blame Wren for how she was after what she went through, BUT absolutely loved when she started to allow herself to live again! I loved how Maniac was determined to anything he could to protect and heal her. Great read!
OMG!! I want my own Maniac. The dedication he went through to help Wren was amazing. I’ve read the book and listened to it on audiobook and enjoyed them both.
Winter Travers’ writing is amazing, this story was beautiful, respectful especially for the subject. No one truly knows what someone else is going through on the inside or even what they have been through. Maniac was patient, kind, caring, understanding, and did all that he could to help Wren. Yeah he had a gruff attitude at times but no matter what he stuck to Wrens side. I loved everything about this book, the banter was hilarious, the subject matter rough but overall a beautiful story about healing, redemption and love. Great job Ms. Travers.
This story is emotional, but also fun, and a little bit dark. The things Wren has gone through, no one would blame her for breaking. But she’s strong, and even though the reason she & Maniac come together is because she slipped over her breaking point & needed care, that strength still shines through. I love how Maniac (aka Dalton) pushes her just enough to get her out of her head, but still knows when to back off & give her space.
The romance & friendships are spot on! There is a part where Maniac & the club have to get their hands dirty, and I skipped a lot of that part because I’m not into the more violent aspects of MC books, so I’m not entirely sure HOW violent or dark it got – but it was contained to a chapter, and the rest of the story gets two thumbs up!
ALSO! When the girls get together – HILARIOUS! : )
Great series read them all
read all books starting at 1
I lol. the females are we they get a new one each book are so funny and keep their alpa men on their toes
have read series twice……
Wren has been used and abused by another mc. I wanted to cry at the life she’s had to live. Maniac is all about the Fallen Lords MC. He doesn’t take time for anyone. He is assigned to take care of Wren and he sees her as just a job. Wren decides she can’t live with all the pain anymore, she needs a hero. Maniac can no longer ignore his feelings for her. He’s a rough guy but has the heart of a lion and he’s determined to protect Wren and avenge what was done to her. I loved this story even though I felt like crying. Kudos to the author for this story.
This book does have a few triggers so please do not read if you have any involving sexual and physical abuse. The author writes the scenes really well, and you feel what Wren feels when reading them. With this being said Maniac is a strong alpha that knows just who and what he wants. Granted it starts out platonic and he honestly wants to help Wren realize that life is worth living, and that she is a survivor.
WOW!! Wren has been through so much and Maniac has decided he is going to help her heal. A weaker person would have cracked long before she did. Maniac does not give up and finally breaks all her walls down. This is a slow burn, but once the flame is lit they are simply combustible together.

Maniac was Winter Travers third book in the Fallen Lords MC series. It wasn’t my favorite in the series, but it was well written and enjoyable none the less.
We met Wren in book two, Pipe. We were left with the cliff hanger for her trying to kill herself. She had an ex in a rival MC that committed horrors on her and although she escaped she was mentally scarred for life. Maniac was assigned to guard her and took his job seriously. He was alpha, protective, bossy, arrogant and gorgeous but he was also gentle when it came to Wren. I loved everything about Maniac. It was a story of friendship and healing first, then the relationship.
Based on the cliff hanger from Pipe, I wasn’t sure how I was going to like this one. It will definitely set off suicide and abuse triggers for anyone with those triggers. Travers focused on the healing – and it wasn’t a quick heal. In reality, it would take awhile to get the feelings and emotions under control after such violations. I’m glad Travers didn’t skip over it lightly.
Other than that, there wasn’t much storyline. The MC conflict wasn’t very suspenseful or realistic but it did bring closure. True to the series, the supporting cast of women were humorous and crazy. It added a much needed dimension to the storyline.
Wrecker and Alice appear to be next in the series. They are totally opposites – Wrecker being fierce, controlling and broody, with Alice at a level of crazy beyond what we’ve seen so far – so it is full of promise for an explosively entertaining read and I can’t wait.
Poor wren she’s so damaged I do love that she’s trying to argue and fight with Maniac it’s so cute! I loved the process Wren went through in her character from being damaged and feeling like she wanted to end it. To being I wouldn’t say her old self she was a new version of herself and I loved that. I also loved that she was finally letting everyone help her.
Maniac he is so overprotective about Wren he don’t even realise it. Then he did realise it, I loved his character I think for him even if Wren didn’t feel the same as him he just wanted her to be better. I loved how willing he was to do stuff for the club.
I love their connection I really like the bond both of them have with each other. The bond also grew overtime and I think this one was definetely different from the rest of the books because Wren was completely broken and coming back from an attempted suicide. So I really liked the bond between them and that they were very equal within their relationship.
I love Jezebel the addition of Jezebel she was an interesting character into the mix. Also I missed Alice a little bit in this one, we saw her a little talking about a blender. I am very exciting for the next book because I know it’s Alice’s. I’m living for it. I loved how much of a vital part that Cora, Karmen and Nikki still have in these books and that these girls are basically
I love them getting drunk it’s nice to see them having some relief time from the high stress situation that we have happening in the book. There’s a few time where they have a drink and it’s honestly some of my favourite moments in the book because it just makes me smile. Especially as near the end of the book Karmen goes into labour when all the other girls are drunk.
I really enjoyed the plot in this one, it got a lot darker. I really loved the plot though and I am so glad the assholes who hurt Wren got what was coming from them. It was so satisfying the ending.
I really enjoy that Winter provides us somewhat of a sneak peak into the next story at the end of the previous one, and at the end of Pipe’s book I was so anxious for Maniac and Wren’s story! Wren has been through a lot of bad things in her life, and it becomes so much to her that she decides to end things. Thankfully, Maniac catches her and takes her away to help her recover, which Wren doesn’t want. She pretty much resigns herself to the fate she has given herself based on her past, and Maniac works with her to show her that she is worth a normal life and the ability to move past the things that haunt her. He is able to show her that she can get retribution in a form that satisfies both of them. In addition to Maniac helping Wren, she also does the same and helps him heal as well from things that happened in his past. Another overall great read from Winter, and I love that this series provides insight into the current couple as well as the ones previously highlighted in the books prior. Can’t wait for the next one!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Before getting into my review, I will say this is a series, and they must be read in order for things to make any sense. This book also comes with a trigger warning, sooo this may not be the book for you if you have delicate sensibilities. Maniac has been given the task of being Wren’s babysitter, and now more than ever he is making sure that she stays in his sight pretty much 24/7. After everything Wren has been through, she is just done, she gives up. Even the prospect of going food shopping where there will be people makes her want to freak out. How can someone live like this? Just how long can Wren hide the way she is? Maniac is making it his mission to pull her out of this shell of a person she has become.. it will just take time. But how do you pull someone out, when they don’t want to be saved?
This was amazing, I really have no way to put into words just how good Winter Travers did with this story. Maniac was amazing, and the right kind of alpha; pushy but knowing just how far he could push before Wren would close up. With violence, drama, the right kind of sexy times, I believe this was Winter’s best one yet. I give this 5 stars.
I gave this Book a rating of 5 ’s

Bad things can happen when you do. Well that’s the theory anyway. Wonderfully written addition to ht e series. This one makes you scratch your head a few rimes.
Wren has had enough and wants t end it, but the man who see her has a chore finds her and wants to fix her, but she lets him know he won’t find all the pieces.
Maniac wasn’t going to give up on Wren, he knew he had to gain her trust and that is was going to take time, he doesn’t know exactly what she went through, but knows it’s left her damaged and broken.
The problem Wren had was Maniac didn’t even have to try to look good, and his smile should be illegal, but it was he’s growly personality that made her keep her guard up.
Maniac can’t believe how much Wren has been coming out of her shell since talking to her friend, her light was coming back, she even wanted to go to the shops and on his bike, he tried not to notice her, but he couldn’t help it and he knew he wanted her.
Wren knows things are different with Maniac but talking to a friend they suggest that maybe he is what she needs to heal, when they head home, Wren realises there’s something different in Maniac’s eyes he looks at her like she’s the only person in the world.
Will Wren be able to see past the MC that damaged her in her past to the MC that wants to help heal her and be her future.
As always, the men of Fallen Lords also keep you laughing while things are serious.
Can’t wait to read Alice and Wrecker’s story when Maniac says they would be like a bear dating a unicorn.
Absolutely love this series! Can’t wait for more of the Fallen Lords MC
Let’s start off by saying that we really are enjoying this series along with this current read.
We enjoyed the story as it was an emotional one that tugged at your heart strings .Wren one of the main character’s has to been to hell and back and she needs a nudge into the living and Maniac is just the person to do that.
I liked Wren’s character as she was just a little lost and broken inside but, when she choose to come out of her shell she was funny and had a sense of humor and I loved how she traded barbs and teased Maniac at every chance she could.
Wren-she was a strong women with a trouble past filled with betrayals, lies, rape, abuse yet somewhere inside the broken women she re-emerged from her pain and you saw the smart, sexy, fun girl that she was before the man she loved betrayed her trust and heart. As the story progressed I loved seeing Wren happy again she was one of those character’s that you could not help but love.
I loved Maniac’s character as he was patient, kind, had a sense of humor but, under all that niceness there lurked a very dark and dangerous man.I loved him from the onset of the story.
Overall we loved the story as it was about healing, revenge, romance and trusting someone with your heart once again. The romance story between and Maniac and Wren was super sweet and very touching.
The story also made as laugh out loud and smile every now and then.I loved Maniac and how he went about winning his girl as he did it with stealth and determination and he understood when to push and retreat to win his prize.I found him to have patience and kindness and humor in these situations and we loved each and every one of them.
Favorite part would be ending and I have to say that it was one of the most funniest scenes throughout the entire story and we loved every minute if reading it as we laughed out loud for several minutes. lol
We are loving this series as well as the characters they are fun and engaging all had amazing personalities and we loved reading about each and everyone one of them and we love revisiting them as the new stories emerge.
Wren just can’t fight the worthlessness anymore and she just wants it all to end. Maniac will never give up on the woman who has surprised him by bringing him alive in ways he never knew he was missing. One night changes everything and he won’t leave her side. It is up to him to help heal her and he will have his ultimate vengeance no matter what the cost. I didn’t think this series could get better but I was proven wrong in this book. Maniac and Wren are magical together, they feel everything so deeply and it becomes part of their very bones. Their story was a slow burn and I loved every word. Highly recommend this series, book and author!!!
Maniac was a great emotional 5 star read. This is book three in the Fallen Lords MC.
We start where book two left off. You get pulled right in from the beginning in a heart breaking scene with Wren. Ever since she was abused in such a heinous way by her ex and his MC brothers she feels nothing inside and just wants to be at peace.
Maniac ends up finding her and saving her before it was too late. We jump ahead a few weeks with Maniac and Wren living in a small home together. He refuses to leave her by herself and is trying so hard to help her. Their relationship develops throughout the story, Maniac does a great job of pushing Wren in a way that wasn’t too much, he was trying to get her to move forward and heal.
I really loved Maniac, he was so sweet and an alpha male with Wren and truly wanted to help and protect her. My heart just broke for Wren and what she was going through. All of the secondary characters added a great element to the story, I love Alice BTW. The ending was great.I will warn that there are some things that could cause triggers for some. I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book for Wrecker and Alice’s story.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book. Reviewed by MAustin from Alpha Book Club
They just keep getting better and better. Winter has written a story about heartbreak and pain, and the struggle to put ones self back together. I loved reading Wren and Maniac’s story and can’t wait to read the next book.
Maniac . oh my lord …I need a live, human version of him . Every page in Maniac and Wren’s story pulled at my heart , made my blood boil and kept my heart racing , so in love with this series .
This next story in the Fallen Lords series is one that brings you into the cozy cocoon of Maniac and Wren. I am a big supporter of Winter but this is her best story to date!
Winter wrote a story that will consume you. Wren and Maniac’s journey is powerful and moving. Maniac helps Wren overcome the demons that plague her mind and her life. He is like her dark angel swooping in and protecting her and her heart from the demons of the night. I want to shout how much I loved this read. One I could read over and over again. Maniac quickly realizes that the girl that came as a job, is the next breath he needs to survive. This man stepped up and showed up for Wren. It is a trait every girl wants her man to have. He surprised me in the most delicious ways. He was patient, kind, and genuine. Wren got all of him from the very beginning.
Wren is lost in the dark. Its depths are all consuming and swallowing her whole. She can’t see a light out of the darkness. When the fight has left her, she finds an unlikely hero willing to stand guard in the dark. Protecting. Loving. Caring.
Wren evolved in this story. She had some woe is me moments but fought. The strong woman she grows into from this journey is one that will withstand the strongest of storms. The character growth was one of the best I’ve read. This story primarily focuses on just Wren and Maniac fighting for the light. I had a total fist bump moment when he told the doctor off. I was like “heck yeah”.
Winter did a great job of blending what was going on in the club without sacrificing the closeness of Wren and Maniac. We were in the know without it overshadowing the story.
Can I just say the retribution Maniac got for Wren had me giddy. I was like burn, baby burn. It was fitting and I hoped Wren could let go of that last little bit and heal with Maniac by her side.
Karmen and Nikki were totally full of laughs and I couldn’t get enough of them. The cake scene had me rolling. Cora is still a mystery to me. I want her background. I like how she was there for Wren. You understood her sense of desperation to help a friend and not know how. Jezebel was a new character and I thought Winter did a fantastic job of integrating her into the group and the story. Alice, there’s a secret there. I am anxious to see what it is. The blender had me chuckling. We got to see her serious side and it warmed my heart but concerned me as well.
This story flowed from page to page. It was pieced together beautifully and only made me want to start again when done. As I said before this is the best story I have read of Winter’s. Brava my dear, and this blogger gives it 5 point shoes.
