My name is Faith Keystone, but my friends call me Keys. I’m the piano player for Hammered.Did I mention I’m the only female in my band? That means I technically have five older brothers. Can’t forget my manager and security team, too.Alone time is nonexistent.I escaped an overbearing family to join this happy circus, and most of the time it’s awesome.Except now, because of one teensy little … awesome.
Except now, because of one teensy little incident at a show.
Now I have this hulking bodyguard shadowing me like a freaking puppy.
Only this puppy is more like a Doberman with an attitude problem.
And he only knows one word—NO.
I hate that word.
And I hate Quinn Alexander.
The one thing I do like is giving him the slip. Is it wrong that I kinda like when he growls at me after he finds me?
Because he always finds me.
Worst of all? I want him so bad that I keep forgetting I hate him.

Faith is perfectly happy in her world. The only female in the band. Adoring fans. Until one adoring fan turns into a attempted kidnapper. Now Faith has to deal with Quinn. The overbearing bodyguard her band and family insists she have with her 24/7. Quinn is used to dealing with world leaders, not babysitting rock star princesses. What happens when he can no longer resist the undeniable chemistry between them? This book is full of hot and sizzling chemistry and a little intrigue and mystery.
Manhandled is H O T!!! Something about the bodyguard falling in love with his charge has always appealed to me (probably because I fell in love with Kevin Costner in The Bodyguard movie. He and Whitney were hot in it!) and Manhandled is a perfect example of this subgenre. Faith “Keys” Keystone is the sweet, vivacious pianist/keyboardist of the band Hammered. When she’s nearly kidnapped at a wedding, the man who’s like her brother, Noah, hires his best friend, Quinn “Warden” Alexander, to take over her security.
Quinn is everything Faith is not. He’s a former Army Ranger who looks like Alex O’Loughlin (swoon!!), is quiet and brooding, likes order, structure and rules. Faith drives him mad because she’s his polar opposite. She’s cheerful, sweet, extroverted and and hates rules. She wants to be free to interact with her fans, even though Quinn is determined to keep her safe and locked up so no one can get to her. You just know they’re going to fall for each other because the sparks coming off these two were bound to catch fire sooner rather than later. And Faith was determined to get Quinn to give into their spark. When he gives in, he feels as if he compromises his mission in protecting her, but there’s no way he can deny the chemistry between the two any longer, no way he can deny the feelings starting to come alive inside both of them.
“At this point it wasn’t even because Noah asked me to take care of her. I couldn’t walk away from her. Not just because my dick was as compromised as my morals, but because the moment I’d slipped inside of her, she’d become mine. No question, no way to avoid it. I was so beyond fucked.”
As things come to a head in the ending, I was a little on edge, wondering when Faith’s stalker would strike. And when it happened, yikes, Army Ranger “Warden” Mr. Protective took over and he was divine. No wonder Faith fell so hard for this guy. Strong, protective, badass, yep, Quinn was all of those things and then some. And Faith is his perfect counterpart.
Kudos to Cari and Taryn, because this duo does rockstars and alphas perfectly. Take one protective alpha, pair him with one feisty, sweet rockstar and you get 5 stars!
Well, this book was good, but I think I liked Manaconda (book 1) better. I liked the character, Keys, a lot. Quinn was a little bit off putting to me at the beginning, not sure why. But he improved towards the end. I was sure she’d give him more hell than she did, trying to slip away more than just the 1 time. The flow was good, but there were a few places that were a little confusing to me, & a bit too much predictability. I felt there should have been more twists thru the story, from the bad guy/gal than there was, to drive the story more. I felt their relationship really didn’t develop enough, it felt like it was all lust driven, especially since Quinn didn’t really get out of his head/talk much. I also was disappointed that there was still some unanswered questions lingering from book 1, that I was sure we’d get an answer to or more info at least about it by this point. I really liked the supporting character of Noah, I’d like to read his story, I liked him better than all the other characters.
This book was very hard to put down
I was confused with so many characters right away, but loved the story and the humor. Yes, I do believe I will look for more from this author!

Great read
It was a wonderful book, I loved it
I have read each one of these books from the beginning, they just get funnier as they go. I love a laugh romance every so oftern to mix it up. This is a great read, it would be worth your time. If you have not read the other two I would recommend those as well.
honestly i didn’t even bother finishing it
Love the characters and the story.. GREAT
I enjoyed this book so much I ordered the previous book, Manaconda, by the same author. Loved both books.
