This isn’t how fairy tales typically begin, but it’s where mine starts…No money, no phone, and abandoned on the streets of Chicago. With my baby in my arms, I wander into a bar in a shady neighborhood and ask to use their phone. When my father turns us away and completely disowns me, the bar owner, and total hottie, offers us a place to stay…no strings attached.I’m leery at first.Hot alpha … attached.
I’m leery at first.
Hot alpha guy.
Down on her luck single mother.
I mean, who wouldn’t be?
Lucio Gallo isn’t like most men, though. He’s fiercely protective, loyal, and did I mention he’s covered in nothing but muscle?
Above all else, he’s everything I need but never knew I wanted.

Great read with delightful characters from a strong and loving family. There promises to be more books about the different family members. So if you love this book, you will have lots more great reading ahead of you.
A little bit racy.
Great book with wonderful and interesting characters. The plot wasn’t earth shattering but it was intriguing enough to draw me into the story. I like that the story wasn’t filled with annoying angst between Lucio and Daphne. The stories about the Gallo siblings are going to be fun to read as well as getting more details about their parents story. Until next time y’all happy reading.
I loved this book! I love Chelle Bliss’ writing! I cannot wait to continue this series!!
I enjoyed this because it is a different romance, it is not typical.
She has a baby out of wedlock and her rich, alcoholic father disowns her. She winds up desolate and broke in a downtown bar after he throws her and her baby out of his car in a drunken rage. She is welcomed into the owners family and the hot owner of the bar gives her a job and a place to live. The story basis was interesting but I didn’t think the author developed the characters enough
This book was a very easy read with nice characters and a fun family. There are no surprises and very little angst. Straight forward escapist read.
Would have preferred the story all in one book – had to read 2 books (and buy 2 books) in order to finish the story.
It’s nice to see, (“what goes around, comes around”).
The storyline is a bit farfetched (it is fiction after all) but I did enjoy the story.
I reviewed this book earlier when I discovered “pages” missing. I deleted it then downloaded it again and got the entire book. My first review reflected my frustration, but this was a good read and once I had all the pages I enjoyed it.
Great read
I bought this book based on all of the rave reviews, but nothing struck me as special about this story, or about its delivery. Man whore changes his ways when the right woman walks in, and she and her infant daughter were just tossed out like garbage by her father.
Favorite Quotes:
The guy is more like a Greek god with his rippling muscles, perfect skin, haunting green eyes, and a smile that could make any girl, even a nun, have the dirtiest thoughts, leading to a stint in hell for sinning.
I know all about complicated families. Hell, mine has never been a walk in the park or like any sitcom family I’ve ever watched on television. Maybe the Bundys from Married with Children…
He’s not into bimbos, Aqua Net. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you’ll never get that man. He’s mine. Always will be, so you can move on to your next victim and spread your infection elsewhere.
While you look hot in my sister’s clothes, I don’t think cutoff shorts, heavy metal T-shirts, and dresses cut so low you can almost breastfeed without actually moving the fabric aside is quite your style.
My Review:
Sizzle, family drama, a sweet and sexy romance, and amusing trash-talking smackdowns provided me with an afternoon of smirk-worthy entertainment. Maneuver was a quick and fast-paced read with endearing and alluring characters and engaging storylines. Book one of a new series and I’m already in love with this family.
loved it!!
A sweet, sexy, fast read with an added bonus of Gallo!! Yes, that’s right readers are reunited with the Gallo family with Chelle Bliss latest spin-off,Men of Inked: Southside Series. In Maneuver, Bliss introduces readers to Delilah, a single mom who is struggling to keep it together and so when she enters this bar to make a phone call, she is greeted by Lucio Gallo. Instantly, Delilah is taken care. For the first time, Delilah experiences what it is like to be part of a family. So will Lucio show Delilah and her baby what it is like to be part of a family? And will Delilah see behind the rough edges of Lucio that their is an undeniable attraction and chemistry that is brewing between them?
3.5 Star Steamy, Escapism Romance!!
Delilah & her baby daughter Lulu are abandoned on the side of the road by Deliilah’s Father!! He’s an alcoholic with a nasty mouth & temper when he’s drunk. She
had asked him to let her drive because he was weaving across the road but he hits the roof & pulls over, calls her some awful names then tells her to get out, he’s done with her & her daughter!!
She walks a little way down the dark street until she comes across a Bar. She has no money, identification or phone so chances going in to borrow their phone!!
Lucio is quarter owner of Hook & Hustle, his 3 other siblings each own the other 3/4. He sees the scared looking woman with a baby walk over to the bar & steps in to assist. She looks so lost, scared & overwhelmed he feels protective of them immediately!!
Lucio Gallo ends up stepping in to offer Delilah Miles along with her baby girl a home & job, when her Father refuses to allow her access to the Penthouse to retrieve any of their belongings!! He Father has also stolen her trust fund so she is completely at Lucio’s mercy. His family rally’s around them both with all they could need!!
This is a lovely steamy & romantic read. It doesn’t offer anything particularly new but it’s great escapism, easy reading with likeable characters & easy to hate ‘baddies’!! I’ll definitely be buying the rest of the series as I love the Gallo’s in any form plus this author writes great steamy scenes

If you read Chelle Bliss then you will recognize her fabulous writing style in this new series about a favorite family, the Gallos. She takes us back to where it started in the blue collar South Side of Chicago. After City’s story I was curious about his childhood home and the family left behind. And oh boy, this new series starts out with a bang and a hunk to rival City in his cousin Lucio. Panty melting! He has the Gallo protectiveness and bravery and he’s dad material on top of everything else. And our damsel in distress, Delilah, is in need of all his terrific qualities. There’s an instant attraction and their slow-burn build to the sexy action is wonderful. But my favorite relationship has to be Luc and Lulu. OMG! My heart hurt so good with love for these two. Delilah seems a little sheltered regardless of her horrible family situation and some of her actions seemed a little immature for her age, background and resources. But Luc and the rest of the fabulous family is there to pick her up and fold her and Lulu into the family. A great start to a new series. I look forward to more of the Hook & Hustle crew and the fun family dynamics. Betty rocks! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
Maneuver by Chelle Bliss is the first book in her Men of Inked: Southside series.
Delilah is a young woman, a single mom and she had the day from hell. Somehow she stumbles into Lucio Gallo, his bar and his big overbearing family. She´s stranded, desperate, homeless, jobless, penniless.
Lucio is a good guy and it takes him one look at mother and baby and he´s smitten. He does everything he can to make her comfortable.
Maneuver is a sweet novella set in my beloved Men of Inked World.
The writing is great and I loved Delilah and Lucio´s story and their beautiful HEA. I can´t wait to read the next story in the series, Flow.
Boy how I’ve missed the Gallo family, and even though Maneuver is a spin-off of the OG, their cousins are just as rowdy, just as smart mouthed, and just as controlling and domineering as their Florida counterparts.
Book 1 in Chelle Bliss’ Men of Inked: Southside is Lucio Gallo’s story, and I love that Lucio’s introduction to the heroine, Deliah, is reminiscent of a certain kickass couple from the original Men of Inked.
From the moment Lucio and Delilah meet and he decides to help her and her young child, they both become honorary Gallo members, and when it’s clear that the attraction between Lucio and Delilah can lead to something they both want and need, the Gallo charm and protective nature comes out and despite some hesitancy by both Lucio and Delilah, it’s beyond clear to readers that they’ve met their ‘one’ and now need to figure out a way to make it forever.
At the heart of any Gallo story is the importance of family; they are a tight knit group of caring and loving people who have each other’s back at all costs, and the person who brings them all together, meddling in any way she deems necessary, which proves that Betty, the Southside Gallos’ mother, is just as crazy and loving as Maria.
I love that Chelle Bliss decided to go back to her writing roots…back to the family who introduced readers to Bliss’ kickass alpha males and the sassy and sexy women who tame them and make them one woman men.
I can’t wait for more stories from these South Side Gallos, and I’m hoping that as readers become more at home with this family that we’ll get the opportunity to catch up with the Florida Gallos because their cousins’ stories make me miss them even more.
