I’ve loved Danny since I was five. He’s loved me longer. It seemed destined that we would be together, it seemed like the stars had aligned. Then we grew up and life got in the way. He’s stepping up to be president of the Motorcycle club we grew up in. And I want no part in it. I want to be free, to travel the world and experience life without violence. He’s not willing to give up the club. I’m … I’m not willing to be an old lady. But giving him up is like losing a part of myself. Love isn’t easy. Life certainly never is. The manacles he has wrapped around me will hold me to him. No matter how hard I try to run.

Edge of seat read
I’ve got some serious mixed feelings about this book and it has everything to do with our leading lady Skye. Danny deserved more, SO MUCH MORE!! You can’t convince me otherwise.
Skye has loved Danny since she was five, but she wants more out of life than to just be an “Old Lady” and stay in the same town she grew up in. She wants it all. Travel, the white picket fence, the two kids and the devoted husband. Danny has been her one true love all these years but they just want two different lives, so it is time for Skye to leave Danny even if it breaks her heart. The minute she leaves he is ever present in her mind and heart but with some time she thinks she will be able to get over him. Except that is impossible when trouble is at her every turn and he is the one that always rescues her.
Danny has loved Skye since he first held her hand and even after all these years that is never going to change. He knows that Skye wants more but if she could just trust him that he can give her those things in time then they could both have the life they have always wanted. Skye is a runner, and Danny knows that, so he lets her go. After a series of events keeps putting them face to face Danny realizes he can’t do this back and forth any longer. He moves on and starts to build the life he wants even if it is without Skye. Apparently, fate keeps wanting to screw him over because the minute he moves on Skye is back and there is no escaping her.
I’ll say it again, Danny deserved way better. He was always 100% in with Skye, but she never was with him until it was too late. Get over yourself girly, life is full of sacrifices and the life thought you wanted isn’t all that great when the person you love isn’t in it. Although, the last half of book really saved this one for me. There was MC drama, blood and some the heat I have come to expect from a Bella Jewel book. Kind of sad this trilogy is over but maybe one day I will go back and read the OG series.
An intense, emotion, And heartfelt journey to go on with Danny and Skye. This was angst filled, lots of back and forth between Danny and Skye, but the family dynamics and unconditional love between all the characters was absolutely amazing. I enjoyed this story.
I think each of these books are taking a piece of me! This one had my emotions all over the place like my heart literally dropped on more than one occasion. My breath caught, tears in my eyes!
Danny and Skye have been more than dancing round each other! Their connection is just……But Skye is scared…..what follows is quite honestly gut wrenching and heart breaking as they both try to ‘do the right thing’. Again, no words! What a great read!
First of all, this book can be read as a standalone. I have read the past two books in this new generation series and I have to be honest and say that although I liked them, I felt like something was missing. It wasn’t until I got to Manacle that I realized exactly what it was. I needed more of the club life. More of the club business and action. I thrive for that. I also was really looking forward to Danny and Skye’s story.
Skye has grown up as one of the beloved children in MC Sinners. Her Granddad is the President and her Dad is the VP. She’s been protected and loved by them her entire life. Lately she has felt like this life wasn’t for her anymore. She wants to be a free spirit and travel. She wants to get away from the MC life. In an attempt to to do this, she moves to Denver. Which isn’t too far away from the MC but far enough that she believes she can start a different life. In her attempt to do this, she’s leaving behind the only person she has ever loved.
Danny has also grown up as one of the beloved children in the MC Sinners and has been groomed to take over as the next President. He loves the MC life and can’t imagine doing anything else. He’s also the only person that Skye has ever loved and is being left behind. He’s hurt and wants Syke in his life but they are at an impasse. Will they be able to overcome their different goals and hang on to what they have or will the be forced to move on?
From the beginning Danny and Skye couldn’t get it together. They were always drawn to each other and anyone close to them could feel the tension between them. Yet, one would either deny it or simple try to keep the other at a distance. Quite frankly, they are a hot mess. I personally enjoy this kind of tension because it keeps me invested. I get mad at one and then I get mad at the other but I’m always rooting for them.
Skye can come come off as a spoiled brat. Someone who seems like they want to turn away from the people that love her the most. At times you want to shake her and make her understand what she already has in her life. I think some people might be bothered by her but for me, I could tell there was something going on with her. Something that confused her and had her running away.
Danny is fiercely loyal to the club and to Skye. She’s loved her for as long as he can remember. He was exactly what I needed from this next generation series. He’s tough yet vulnerable. He’s got a dirty mouth on him. And most of all, with him being groomed to be the next President, I got more of the club life that I like. The action that I was looking for with club business.
Overall, this is by far my favorite book for this series. I fell in love with the original series a long time ago and I’ve been looking for some of that feel in this series. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a lighter MC book with some plot twists and true love that has to fight hard. It isn’t pretty but it’s their story.
