Spunky, sassy romance writer Deirdre Collins leaves her home and the roommates she adores for a fresh start in New York City. Lured by old-world charm and authentic Italian cuisine, she moves into her new apartment ready for a new life. What she wasn’t ready for was dark, brooding Italian attorney, Vincent Manetti. This stoic Adonis with a sly sense of humor and a bossy disposition is a … a dominating lover in the bedroom but a caring soul when Deirdre faces the constant reminders of her past. Vincent soothes her in ways no one else could. Deirdre is convinced a crazy twist of Fate brought them together. But Fate isn’t just crazy; she’s a sadistic bitch. Deirdre’s past is connected to Vincent in ways neither of them could have predicted. Vincent works to keep Deidre in the dark, but Fate plays her wicked hand, and soon, there’s nothing he can do except tell her the truth. Madly in love and suspicious, Deirdre follows her instincts, but does Vincent deserve her love and affection? Perhaps, a man who harbors secrets shouldn’t fall for a woman who values trust above all else. Is Vincent Manetti a man with the mafia, not to be trusted or believed, or is he the answer to what Deidre’s been missing her entire life?

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I found it very enjoyable. It is the second in the series and I had no problem getting right into it. When necessary characters are clearly introduced and explained.
The story is told from different points of view and a had a very strong beginning and middle. The end happened quickly and I have a few questions but it didn’t take away from the story.
While this is a mafia story it is also a suspense, romance, and a story of discovery.
I recommend this story.

The story Man with the Mafia by Debra J. Falasco is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that pulled me in from the very beginning and didn’t let go until I had finished the last page. It has moments that had me wondering what was going to happen next. I loved reading about the characters of Deirdre Collins and Vincent Marietti. Deirdre is a romance writer who is feisty and sassy. She is someone who values trust. She has just moved to New York City. Then she meets Vincent. Vincent is an attorney and a man that doesn’t talk much about his personal life. He doesn’t date, no strings attached. Then he meets Deirdre. There is a deep attraction between them. There is the feeling of a connection and chemistry. She is different than the other women who have been in his life. She finds him to be handsome and caring. Can Deirdre trust a man that seems to be keeping her in the dark? What secrets is he hiding? What does the future hold for Deirdre and Vincent? Read this book to find out. This story has steamy moments that make the temperature in the room rise. There are scenes that will make you swoon. I couldn’t help but enjoy the bantering that goes back and forth between Deirdre and Vincent. The book has both emotional and intense dialogue. This is a book that has a wonderful storyline and I loved reading. The characters of Deirdre and Vincent are ones that I came to care about and wanted them to find happiness. Highly recommended reading.
Like Debra Falasco’s ‘Man with Money’, as well as being an arousing and sensual story, this is filled with characters you will care about; I enjoyed this more than the first story because of the danger faced. Good story-telling with steamy sex. What more could you want?
Man with the Mafia (Man With #2) by Debra Falasco
Four Stars
My heart hurts. I want me a man like Vincent. I really liked this story. The characters were well written and the plot was great. The author gave us a really good story. It wasn’t sad or depressing. The characters had interesting past but it didn’t make them different. I liked Deirdre. She could defend herself and give as much smack as she got. Her and Vincent were fireworks together. Family means a lot to me but I have learned that you have to cut people off to make yourself grow. Especially if they were holding you back.

There is definitely some attraction between them. Can she trust him ?What secrets is he hiding? Can these two have a future together? Find out what happens next, I highly recommend reading this Book. Man with the Mafia (Man with, book 2) by Debra J. Falasco
Star-4
My favorite thing about any book is getting to know the characters. Deirdre and Vincent were wonderful characters to read about. Deirdre has a spunky attitude, but has struggles that she faces on a daily basis. Vincent is confident and a bit cocky, but he also has a good heart. He has overcome his family’s business. Deirdre’s and Vincent’s chemistry is instant and intense. They also faced ups and downs that neither could control. I loved so many secondary characters as well such as all of Deirdre’s roommates and Vincent’ cousin. I hope to read more about these characters! I feel that Debra Falasco did a fantastic job with this book. This is the second book in this series, and I cannot wait to read whatever is next.
Man with the Mafia by Debra J. Falasco was a fun read that kept me engaged from cover to cover. This is my first book by the author and I enjoyed it a lot. I felt like the writing was good and the story itself was good. The leads were written well and Vincent is such a hottie. At least what I picture in my mind. I have no critiques for the author I think she did a great job. I would give it a 4 star rating. Can’t wait to read others.
Man with the mafia was such an enjoyable book to read. I am a sucker for books that draw you in from the start and has such realistic characters and side characters. I love the little Italy feel of the neighborhood that both Vincent and Deirdre live in. Vincent is a man that has grown up in the area and has ties to the criminal underworld. As a lawyer he struggles with his connection to his family that are involved in the mafia. One day he meets Deirdre who is a transplant to the area with her own set of secrets in her past. These two have an instant connection and feelings for each other. I loved the dance of their relationship. What happens when all of their secrets are out in the open. This was a very entertaining book to read.

Man with the Mafia was a fantastic read, I love a good mafia romance story and this was definitely one of the best that I have read. I think I was probably already hooked on the story before I had even started, the burb was intriguing and I really loved the front cover, which is something I don’t usually take much notice of. The author had a really engaging writing style which meant I really did feel like I was part of the story. The characters were well thought out. I really liked Deirdre, she was stronger than she thought and she had a great feisty side to her. Vincent was exactly what I hoped he would be and more! I think I fell in love with him straight away. I loved the connection and chemistry that the two of them had and I loved the way the author intricately woven unknown connection between Deirdre and Vincent into the story that constantly had me guessing!
If you are looking for an amazing mafia romance story then you should absolutely one click this book today, it was exciting to read with amazing characters and a storyline that will keep you guessing. I can’t wait to read more from Ms Falasco again in the future!
Man with the Mafia (Man With, #2) by Debra J. Falasco
4out of 5 stars
Man with the Mafia is the second book in the Man With series written by Debra Falasco and it’s the first book that I have read by this author. The story started out slow but it got better. The characters are well written. I loved the banter between Vincent and Dee and the secondary characters where awesome.
Vincent Manetti, is a dark, brooding Italian attorney and is very good at what he does. Vincent grew up in the neighborhood he takes care of his own but, is very closed mouth. He doesn’t do relationships and isn’t looking for love until he sees Deidre Collins.
Deidre Collins is a romance writer and is new to the neighborhood, she left her home and great friends behind in Virginia Beach to get a fresh start. Her last relationship ended badly and she is left with some baggage. She just want to settle into her new home, make new friends and write. She is not interested in anything else.
But fate has other plans she keeps bumping into Vincent. He’s a stoic Adonis with a sly sense of humor and a bossy disposition is a dominating lover in the bedroom but a caring soul and she is scared because he reminds her of her past.
She lives by honesty and telling the truth. He is a harbors secrets but is honest to a point. Are these two fated to be together like Deidre thinks or is fate a b****.
This story was a great read and some twist that will surprise you… I recommend this story…

Man with the Mafia (Man With Series Book 2) by Debra J. Falasco is a wonderful romance story that is full of drama and suspense, secrets and lies, intrigue and danger. There is also lots of chemistry and passion that will have your heart melting. The characters are complex and completely loveable. The story is told in multiple POV’s which I love because you get to know exactly what and who the characters really are. It is one story that I did not want to put down and I had to know where it was going and what the outcome was, that is how invested in these characters I was. Even though this is the second book in the series they can be read as standalones. I love Debra’s descriptions of the old Italian neighbourhood and it’s occupants, especially the grumpy old men.
Vincent Manetti doesn’t do relationships, he a highly respected lawyer and spends some of his working week in his old neighbourhood. When a tiny thing of a woman literally falls into his arms, his life changes forever but can he keep her safe.
Deirdre had to get away from the constant hell she was trying to get over but leaving meant leaving her friends behind. Being in a relationship is the last thing she wants or need, but one man is determined to change all that and protect her do matter what the cost and she is helpless to say no.
I really enjoyed the story and I can’t wait to see what Debra has in store for us next in the third book.
Man with the Mafia by Debra J. Falasco is the second book in the Man With series. Deirdre is starting over in a new city. The last thing on her mind is looking for a romantic relationship when she meets Vincent. The two are amazing together but Vincent knows something that could break them apart. Will the two be able to fight through these issues?
This is a good read that kept me wanting to read more. I enjoyed the characters and the story. The secondary characters are good also and make me want to read more from the series. I also liked that Deirdre is a strong character and wants to be an independent woman. Vincent means well but has a past of his own. I like that they have flaws and are not perfect people.
I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I picked up Man With the Mafia. I honestly was drawn in by the cover and the a few teasers that I had seen so I went in blind. I haven’t Read anything by Debra J. Falasco prior to this but I am now a new fan for sure! With all that said, I was also unaware that this was the second book in her Man With Series, although it didn’t affect my ability to enjoy the book I still will be going back to read the first before I move on with book three.
While we do get the goodies that come with any great Mafia centric story we also get much more with Man With the Mafia which really is what sets this one aside from the others. Deidre and Vincent were so much fun to read, and hot too! The pages kept me engrossed from the very beginning until the last page when I was so sad to have to put it down. You truly don’t want to miss this one! I can’t wait to see what else Debra J. Falasco has in store for her readers!
Man with the Mafia by Debra J. Falasco. This is the story of Deidre Collins who moves from Virginia Beach to New York City to get away from an abusive ex boyfriend. She wants to fit in, find a few friends and write her romance novels. When she finds this little Italian part of the city she falls in love and finds a apartment and an Italian restaurant that is amazing. While she’s in that restaurant one day she see Vincent Mancetti a handsome, Italian American man with all the sexiness she can only imagine in her novels. Vincent is a very successful attorney who has it all together and tries to take care of his old neighborhood. He doesn’t have time for relationships but when he sees Deidre he has to have her. Some of Vincent’s family is in charge of the mafia and Vincent has tried very hard to steer clear of that path. When he and Deidre finally get together he realizes she’s not just a one night stand and when her past mixes with what he’s involved in now will they make it thru because Deidre is all about trust. Will she forgive Vincent when he finally comes clean with what he’s kept from her. Read Man with the Mafia to find out. I loved this book and read it in one sitting!
Man with the Mafia by Debra J. Falasco is a story that simmers at the start, only to end in a blazing, hot finale. This is my first taste of this author, and what a delicious treat it was.
Vincent Manetti is a hot, italian mystery. Deirdre Collins is a sassy broad that has endured much, and gives more, despite this. Jer love of life was not extinguished, and Vincent was smart enough to see the beauty that was all hers. This story was intense, intense, intense. The build had my heart tripping and my nerves taut. I honestly can say it was a splendid read. This author is one I will revisit. The story was delivered flawlessly, dramatically, and honestly. The characters entertaining and believable. I could not get enough. 5 stars

Man With the Mafia is the second book in the Man With Series by Debra J. Falasco. This was my first book by Ms. Falasco, so I wasn’t sure of what to expect going in. I love a good mafia romance, so I was won over by the blurb, and the beautiful cover. What I found between the covers was a wonderful story, which had me hooked quite quickly. I loved it, and became quite intrigued about the other (recurring) characters, so I went back and one-clicked the first book to read, too.
Deidre Collins is new to the neighbourhood, having left her home and great friends behind at Virginia Beach to get a fresh start. She’s a romance writer approaching thirty, who has quite a bit of baggage from her previous relationship which ended badly. She just wants to get on with her life, settle in, make friends, and write her stories. She’s definitely not interested in another relationship. So, why does a certain man make her swoon whenever he’s near?
Vincent Manetti is an attorney who grew up in the neighbourhood. He works hard, and is very good at what he does. He looks after his own, but plays everything quite close to his vest. He doesn’t do relationships, and isn’t looking for love. But he is soon questioning his stance when a beautiful woman keeps falling into his path. Vincent is more than intrigued, he can’t stop thinking about her, fantasizing about her- and has an overwhelming urge to protect her . She’s got a definite good-girl vibe, so why then does he keep seeing a naughty twinkle in her eyes. He’s determined to find out, and he soon realised that when it came to Deidre things were not going to be easy.
With her issues, and Vincent’s secretive side and a foot in two different worlds, will Deidre ever be able to give her trust completely? When danger threatens, will Vincent be able to keep her safe? As the game of cat and mouse intensifies, how much more can Deidre take before she breaks, completely? Will the pressure pull them together, or break them apart, forever? Some secrets can never be revealed, so will she understand, or will it erode any trust between them? And what happens when they’re forced to flee? The answers to these questions, and so much more can be found between the covers of this fantastic story. So, do yourself a favour and grab a copy today.
This is a mafia romance, with a bit of a twist. There is suspense, drama, secrets, misunderstandings, doubts, trust issues, danger, intrigue, hidden agendas, charged chemistry, passion, and insta-love. The characters are all really well developed- and are quirky, interesting and multidimensional. I really loved Deidre and Vincent- they were really easy to get invested in. The secondary characters also added to the storyline, especially Deidre’s friends, and the (quirky) neighbourhood residents. I think Carlo needs his own story- and Vincent’s brother has me intrigued too.
The story is told from several Points of view, which made for some really great reading. It has a smooth flow and is very easy to read. I devoured it in a few hours. The story unfolds along the same timeline as the first book- but you don’t need to have read that book before starting this one- they can both be read as standalones.
The only ‘issue’ that I have is that the story felt quite rushed at the end, and some of the ‘threads’ weren’t completely tied up. For me there seemed to be a few unresolved issues that were a little skirted over and not fully addressed. And what happened to the kitten? Was he left out at the cabin to fend for himself? Yes, I am worried about a fictional Kitten, don’t judge. And then there were a few minor inconsistencies in the storyline, such as this- (At the beginning of chapter 11): “Open the door, Deirdre.” It was the first time I’d ever said her name. It felt like honey on my tongue. Thick, rich, sweet honey………. BUT way back at the end of chapter 5 we already read this: “I’m not going to call you Dee, especially if the other men in your life did. And yes, Deirdre, we are going to be friends. Very good friends.”
But, having said that I really did enjoy the book and will definitely be stalking Ms. Falasco in future so I can keep up with all her new releases when they happen. Can’t wait to read book #3- Man With A Castle.
Thank You, Ms. Falasco!
Suspense. Romance. New beginnings. Intrigue. Bad guys. Sassy female leads.
Yep. This one has it all. From the characters to the plot development, from the relationship of the main characters to the brewing romance… I was hooked on page one. Beautifully written, this piece of fiction is one book I will be reading again very soon!
Man With The Mafia by Debra J Falasco. This story and the way Deirdre and Vincent interact is like a slow burn. It pulls you in a little bit at a time and then your hooked before you even realize it. Vincent is confident, good looking and masculine, and Deirdre isn’t sure she can resist him, or if she even wants to. The first time Vincent saw Deirdre he knew she was going to be different, and every time he saw her and touched her afterwards only proved it. But they each have secrets his is the present hers are the past but they are catching up to them now. Can Vincent be there when she needs him most….
This is my first book by this author, I enjoyed it from cover to cover. It is creative, engaging and pulled me into the story right from the start. Deirdre is ready to start a new life, what she wasn’t expecting is a man like Vincent to enter into it. As her past keeps popping up, what will happen when their pasts collide? These two are about to find out how twisted fate can be. They are strong characters with great chemistry but trust could be a problem. I highly recommend this book.
Deirdre moved to New York for fresh start, she meets Vincent who gives her everything she never knew that she needed. They have an instant connection and great chemistry together. There’s a bit of suspense throughout the story. I received an ARC of this and volunteered to review it.
