I hired a gorgeous man to be my date at a big fancy family event. It was supposed to be strictly business. Feelings didn’t have to come into play. But it’s impossible for any girl to resist Archer’s charm. Even for a geeky girl like me. He’s a struggling actor in search of a director. Part of me thinks that he’s just using me for my family’s connections. But I see love in his eyes, and lust in … connections.
But I see love in his eyes, and lust in his touch.
Being wrong about him would cost me my heart.
So, what happens when I find out the secret he’s been hiding back home?
Is he going to choose me… or the stardom that he’s chasing after?

“Man of the Moment” was a great read. For some reason I read this series (Gentleman, Inc.) out of order, but it was still totally entertaining. Thea Dawson has a talent for touching your heart strings. I just love this family, and Annabelle was my favorite sister.
Absolutely Awesome Read, well written, great characters, Awesome story line, easy read to hold you on their journey, this genre might not be for everyone but its a really wonderful story cannot wait for more from this Author.
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Annabelle and Archer. Archer is an actor trying for his big break, but he also works as an escort, not the sleezy kind. Annabelle is a grad student who needs to make a better impression to get family. So she hires Archer to be her date to the party. He’s not the typical guy she would date. But when they start to get to know each other it seems that opposites do attract. But a little miscommunication leaves them on rough water. Great HEA in the end.

The story line was good, some nice changes to the usual hire a boyfriend for family’s sake, however the characters fell flat and I was unable to relate to any of them. Annabelle was whinny and immature and she does not improve though out the book. Archer’s character is just not realistic, who goes from professional with no feelings or attraction and then can’t live without her the next moment?

At first off the book started great, though it did have some lulls but there were definitely some highs as well. While the characters were well developed, Annabelle just seemed to get on my nerves as being just a little too whiny for my taste. Archer for more than half of the book kept saying she wasn’t his type, then did a 180 and fell for Annabelle, just needed a little more build up to make it plausible. While this a new author for me, Ms. Dawson, I did enjoy the book about Archer and Annabelle.

I fell for Archer right along with Annabelle. Their story is so sweet with depth and passion for days. Archer thinks he wants something totally different than what he comes to realize is his actualality. Annabelle is so self conscious when it comes to her place and fit within her own family and in social settings. I love the way they each grow and become who they are always meant to be. The writing is superb. The banter, the wit and the dialogue is excellent. The characters are likeable and fun and friend worthy.

This was a very entertaining read! It was nice to see how Archer’s views of Annabelle changed as he started off not really liking her to becoming friends, to becoming lovers. Archer is a smart and handsome young aspiring actor who is very ambitious and it seemed that this ambition would lead to heartbreak ad trouble. Annabelle is a smart but very insecure young woman who feels inferior when compared to her sisters. Archer and Annabelle will have to overcome their issues and misunderstandings if they want to get to their HFN/HEA. The chemistry they have is quite explosive but can be very sweet. This story had some twists and turns and keeps you reading!

Archer is a handsome 26 year old struggling actor who also works for a company that hires out attractive men for events and no sex is allowed. AnnaBelle is a 24 year old physics grad student who hires Archer to be her date for a party at her rich parent’s house. She feels she is not as pretty as her beautiful sisters and has been busy with school and not dated much so she is willing to pay for a date so she won’t be pitied for being dateless. At the party Archer is asked to spend the weekend at their summer home and he accepts thinking her parents can connect him with their famous director friend and his roommate wants him gone for the weekend. While at the summer house Archer and Annabelle talk and grow closer. Will Annabelle be furious when she learns Archer only came for her family’s connections and end their beginning relationship? Will Archer be able to convince Annabelle they belong together?
I loved this story and highly recommend it. The author did a great job of letting you see the true character of Annabelle and Archer from their past experiences. I had a hard time putting the story down, I just wanted to keep reading until I got to the end. The epilogue was a great ending for the story.

An interesting and enjoyable book one in the Gentlemen, Inc. series! A slow burn; the story-line is well written, relatable, emotionally deep, funny, witty, and steamy. The characters are likeable with off the charts chemistry between them. A really good read; strongly recommended!

I didnt discover this author until the fourth book of this series was out, I read that one and enjoyed it, so now I’m starting from the beginning. I loved the feel of the slow build, I liked seeing how Archer changed over the course of the story. I definitely want to read the other 2 books in the series now. It was really cute seeing these two figuring things out
She needs a date for something. So she figures well let’s just go rent one. Then she goes with her mother and family and things really get interesting. Awesome. Great read and so enjoyable. I received a review copy and voluntarily review it.
I absolutely loved this book, it had a great mix of humour, heartbreak, determination and hope for happiness. Archer and Annabelle are complete opposites which makes their interactions so much more awkward and their banter/sparring will have you giggling. I really liked how both of them grew and started to work out who they really were in life as they got to know each other and worked though their own work issues. I am sure you will be like me when you get to the end of the book and want to throw a hissy fit as you want more, more I tell you!!!!

Another good read from Thea Dawson.
Loved Archer and Annabelle!! They had great chemistry. And despite the typical need for the main characters to talk to each other during a issue, it showed some nice growth for each one.
This author has a way of always delivers great characters that are well developed and engaging with plenty of chemistry that draw us from the start. The even flow of the storyline kept me entertained.

I enjoyed this so much I had to keep reading in one sitting. I like that the hero wasn’t immediately attracted to Annabelle and was just doing his job. But the more he was around her, he could see her worth. They actually get to know each other before anything physical happens and the struggle is real when he really falls for her and has to make a choice.

I like Thea Dawson books. In this one there is a too real attitude in Archer and Annabelle’s arrangement. Lots of trouble for them but I liked how they handled everything. Of course, there is a solution and a HEA. Enjoy this delightful story – Man of the Moment by Thea Dawson.
Man of the Moment (Gentleman, Inc. Book 1)!
This is the story about Annabelle, who feels like she’s a dumpy woman compared to her sisters. Her two sisters are beautiful and successful, and although Annabelle is brilliant in her own right, she needs to do something to stop the pity from her family. So she spends considerable savings, to hire a discrete man to play the part of her boyfriend for 1 night at her parent’s party. Little did either Annabelle or Archer know, it was just the start of a fabulous friendship and HEA for them.
When Archer gets the audition of a lifetime via Annabelle’s parents, Annabelle is sure Archer was just using her. After a few missteps, and a bold move by Archer to prove his love, the two get their HEA.
A fun, easy read! Recommended!

What’s a girl to do when she has 2 beautiful sisters and doesn’t feel she can compare…why, hire a hunk to fake a relationship, of course…maybe then she can get on with her life and not feel like the ugly duckling. But throw in a few curve balls, feel goods, heart breaks and you get more than you bargained for. Grab this one and get a great story.
I mean… where can I hire a guy like like Archer? Can you please make the Gentleman, Inc a real thing, Thea? lol 😉
