He puts the “screw” in screwball comedy…BRYNNAt thirty-four, I’m reeling from a divorce. I don’t want to party or try to move on. I just want to stay home and post a new recipe on my blog: Brynn’s Dips and Balls. But my friends aren’t having it. Get out there again, they say. It will be fun, they say. I’m still taking a hard pass. Free designer cocktails, they say. And that’s a game-changer. Too … pass.
Free designer cocktails, they say. And that’s a game-changer.
Too bad my ex shows up with his new arm candy. That’s when I lose my mind. But when my besties dare me to leap on the first single man I see, they don’t expect me to actually go through with it.
TOM
All I need right now is some peace and quiet while my home renovation TV show is on hiatus. But when a curvy woman in a red wrap dress charges me like she’s a gymnast about to mount my high bar, all I can do is brace myself and catch her. What follows is the hottest experience of my adult life.
I want a repeat, but my flying Cinderella disappears immediately afterward. She doesn’t leave a glass slipper, either—just a pair of panties with chocolate bunnies printed on them.
But I will find her.
My face literally hurts from smiling. About That Story
It’s FUNNY!! I mean, really funny. My whole body shook, trying to suppress my laughter made me snort and I accidentally doinked myself on the head with my kindle. Stacy is Sassy
ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS. I need more from Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby already! Booklovers for Life
This is such an amazing story! I laughed, I cried, and devoured the pages. Kitty’s Book Spot

I expected Man Hands to be funny. I assumed it would be hilarious. But I didn’t anticipate the fold-in-half-laughing, smile-for-the-rest-of-the-day effect. Bowen and Eby have written a funny, snappy, warm-hearted book that sucks you in.
I found myself laughing out loud and smiling hard from all the witty dialogue and inner monologue. Man Hands is hands down a fun, steamy read and one that delivers the best kind of happy ever after!
HILARIOUS! This book had me laughing throughout its entirety. A great read!
Omg this audiobook was sooooo HILARIOUS!! Erin and Luke did an amazing job. The story was fresh and great and a sneak peak set up for the next friends book! I highly recommend the audio.
What a great escape this book is.

The desire to immediately read the next book in the series – CHECK
I went back to my highlighted passages to quote for this review but “I just want to cook something and post it online and have a thousand people like it so I feel validated. Can’t I do that instead?”
This is a fantastic “one-sitting” read that I absolutely recommend
What a freaking awesome book! So many laugh out loud parts! It’s sexy, steamy, hilarious, rebound love at it’s best! I cannot wait for Book 2 of this series.
Brynn is recently divorced and going out for the night with her 2 besties, Ash and Sadie. I want to hang out with this trio. Freaking funny as heck. Brynn a foodie/blogger self-image has been beaten down by her ex. She is a work in progress. Love how the authors portray her as a curvy woman and sensually at that. Tom good gravy, thank you for Tom. He is all for the curves. TV personality, he has some drama he is dealing with but he is so yummy.
I desperately needed this!! I loved this book so much, I was laughing almost the whole time and just think it was the cutest!!! I loved everything about Brynn and Tom, especially their insane lust for each other. In fact, I loved it so much I bought the next one and already started reading it! Brynn is so awesome! She’s so quirky and I absolutely ADORE her love of food!!! And Tom, I love how he thinks and the little mumbling he does. SO ADORABLEEEEE. Just no words for how awesome this story was. It was the best distraction of life!
Man Hands is funny and sweet and flirty. What starts as a bit of a rebound one night stand turns into something completely different. I loved the audiobook and will definitely be listening to others in this series.
-4.5Stars!-
I really enjoyed this story and characters! I enjoyed the witty parts and the steamy!! Looking forward to reading more by these authors and Book 2 of series!!
MAN HANDS isn’t my usual read, so I approached the book with an edge of trepidation – But, as it turns out, I had nothing to worry about. From the very beginning to the wonderful HEA, this book had me laughing out loud. MAN HANDS is an upbeat, hilarious story with no “black moment” for a change. Definitely a humor-filled “feel-good” read.
Brynn is freshly divorced from a milk-toast dickwad husband and a pink-slip from her teaching job because the ex’s father is the dean of the college. She’s feeling a bit raw at the beginning of the story, but she’s got two besties who are there for her. I loved the friendship between Brynn, Ashley and Sadie. These are the kind of friends who really know each other and know how to push each other’s buttons (in a good, supportive way).
Tom is a sweet, gorgeous and, as it turns out, kinda vulnerable guy who’s a little adrift after being publicly humiliated by his girlfriend on his Mr. Fixit Quick television show. And when Brynn and Tom meet, there’s multi-colored fireworks, which is written absolutely the perfect way by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby!
MAN HANDS is a funny, sexy and, dare I say it, endearing story. It was so entertaining that I’ve already purchased MAN CARD (MAN HANDS – Book 2), which continues the story with Ashley and Tom’s best friend, Braht – for info on MAN CARD see below!
If I had to pick one word to define this book, it would be hilarious. Because it is. But it is so much more. It is sweet, smart, and hot. So damn hot! The only moment you’ll be able to put it down is while you are rolling on the floor, laughing.
Man Hands is the first book in the Man Hand series, and all four books are complete standalones. If you like outrageously funny romcoms, you should check them out. The series continues with Man Card, Boy Toy, and Man Cuffed, and they are all amazing.
Man Hands is a bit loud, a lot outrageous, and quite shocking. The language, the situations, the characters. But it is so much fun! I loved it.
We have three friends, Brynn, Ash and Sadie. Brynn is recently divorced, is an unemployed English Professor and has no self-esteem (left) to speak of. She has written a few cookbooks, though, and has a food blog on the side. So naturally, her well-meaning and domineering friends want her to get back on the dating scene with a bang (pun intended). She needs to find someone who is the exact opposite of her usual type, a real man with big man hands.
Man Hands is hilarious. I know I already mentioned this, but it’s just worth repeating. I love how they mix the funny/ridiculous situations with smart language and double meanings. It’s so well done. It gives layers to the fun. It does! I also love the characters. Brynn and Tom have an amazing chemistry and banter. They have their own issues, issues that are very real, and they deal with them with their friend’s help. And the friends, all of them, give the story complexity and depth. Because the friends are just as awesome. If you care to look a bit deeper than the surface of this story, you’ll find that there’s a lot of underlying subjects and issues that you can relate to. And those are the layers that make this hilarious romcom so worth reading.
Just FYI, the audiobook is so worth it. Listening to this story will take it to another level. Seriously. It is so amazing. And listen to the credits.
So funny! Great Depression day read, to get you back on your feet.
I have had Man Hands by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby on my Kindle and on audio for so long. Then Raegan read it and couldn’t stop gushing about it. So after a particularly emotional (read: GUTTED ME) book, I knew I needed a feel-good book with some guaranteed laughs. The fact that the heroine is curvy and getting over a divorce just added to the appeal.
After a divorce left her feeling awful about herself Brynn’s friends insist on getting her back on the horse again—with someone that wasn’t her type which is “Frail-looking, vegetarian or gluten free, intellectual, ironic, good hygiene.”
“You need to do the nasty with someone who isn’t your type. If your body is responding with all those whozits and whatsits, then you need to run away because your instinct is just plain wrong.”
When they dare her to jump into the first manly man’s arms she sees and kiss the heck out of him, Brynn does just that.
“Or maybe it’s just that this woman is the answer to a wish I hadn’t known I’d made.”
Tom is a manly man with his own home renovation show, Mr. Fixit, and boy, does he fix Brynn!
“I try to analyze the peculiar warmth and throbbing in my vag**a. Is it attraction or a urinary tract infection?”
I loved the way the third wall with the reader was partially knocked down. It was subtle, but worked so well.
“He kisses me again or I kiss him and then we part, letting our hands slowly drift apart as violins swell and the scene fades to gray then black.
Sorry. I got a little melodramatic there. Actually, he kisses me, squeezes my a$$ and says “I’ll call ya.”
“Okay,” I say and then hold in a burp. Because that’s real-life romance.”
I bookmarked SO MANY funny parts! Writing this review, I want to jump back and listen again. This is up there with my favorite romcoms, so if you like romantic comedies, please don’t let the cover or title deter you—this will be a new favorite for you too.
Likes:
•I love a curvy heroine!
•They are both a little older.
•Gave me some after-divorce hope.
•I loved all the characters and totally want to hang with them.
•I laughed out loud a few times and giggled a hell of a lot.
•Breaking down the third wall and talking to the reader.
•It was REAL—no corny stuff.
Dislikes:
•It’s too bad, but the cover is what turned me off for 2 years, and I’m not sure exactly why, maybe the colors?.
The Narration:
Erin Mallon is my hands-down favorite—I almost feel like you don’t need male narrators with her, because her man voice is so sexy. But Luke Daniels did a great job. They had great comedic timing and I loved the narration!
The Down & Dirty:
Man Hands was everything I hoped it would be and more. Being in the middle of a divorce, the last book I read had me depressed and hopeless about my future. Man Hands COMPLETELY turned my mood around and had me giggling like a loon and swooning everywhere. Man Hands by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby will rate up there with some of my favorite audiobooks ever. I’m so mad I waited so long, but I can’t wait to listen to the rest of the series!
Rating: 5 Stars, 4 Heat, 5 Narration
I loved this hilarious, heartfelt, steamy romance! This is the first book in a new series by two very talented authors and is filled with outrageous humour and fiery passion. Brynn needs a distraction when she sees her ex husband at a party with a younger woman. So she picks the gardener for a one night stand. Little did she know that the gardener was a famous reality tv star! When their night of passion becomes just as famous, Tom will do whatever it takes to protect the sexy woman who jumped into his life. I absolutely loved both Tom and Brynn. They were so endearingly awkward together but their chemistry was explosive. All their friends only added more quirkiness and fun to this story. There were so many laugh out loud moments but many sweet and sexy moments as well.
Luke Daniels and Erin Mallon were so perfect as Tom and Brynn. They really put themselves out there, being just as outrageous in their deliveries making this light hearted and sexy story pure perfection!
This fast paced story is filled with hilarious and embarrassing predicaments but is also heartwarming, sweet, and super hot & sexy. I can’t wait to listen to the next book in this series!
This is another time when I kick myself for not reading this book when it first came out.
Man hands was nothing short of hilarious i laughed out loud so many times but i just loved this story and got so swept up in it all.
I absolutely loved Brynn it’s so nice to read a main hero that isn’t stick thin and that she is still sexy. She was funny a hot mess at times but that’s what you loved about her.
Tom was also amazing he was sweet and can’t forget his big Man Hands but i just loved his character he seemed loving and it seemed he just wanted someone to love.
This story had it all scandal, hot sexy times, drama, fantastic story and just so funny. I also loved all the other characters like Sadie, Braht and Ash they made the story just a whole good story
Absolutely loved this book and can’t wait to get into the others
I liked it. I thought it was light and fun, there were quite a few parts that had me chuckling.
I cannot say enough good about this book!! I took a chance on it on a whim seeing as thought I had never even heard of the authors but I am SO glad that I did because it is definitely a gem to be had. I was drawn in from the beginning by how relatable all of the characters were. If I could jump into a book or bring characters out of a book I would make Brynn my best friend. She is amazing! I found myself laughing out loud so many times during this book, I’m sure I got some looks when I was in public. I don’t care, though, because Man Hands is worth being labeled a crazy person for. 😉
This book is for those of us who enjoy a completely wacky, surreal read. There are laugh out loud and cringe worthy moments. I found that I couldn’t put it down until it was finished.
Loved this book!
It was funny! At times , I laughed out loud. It kept me coming back. The characters were likable. They acted like adults
