He puts the “screw” in screwball comedy…BRYNNAt thirty-four, I’m reeling from a divorce. I don’t want to party or try to move on. I just want to stay home and post a new recipe on my blog: Brynn’s Dips and Balls. But my friends aren’t having it. Get out there again, they say. It will be fun, they say. I’m still taking a hard pass. Free designer cocktails, they say. And that’s a game-changer. Too … pass.
Free designer cocktails, they say. And that’s a game-changer.
Too bad my ex shows up with his new arm candy. That’s when I lose my mind. But when my besties dare me to leap on the first single man I see, they don’t expect me to actually go through with it.
TOM
All I need right now is some peace and quiet while my home renovation TV show is on hiatus. But when a curvy woman in a red wrap dress charges me like she’s a gymnast about to mount my high bar, all I can do is brace myself and catch her. What follows is the hottest experience of my adult life.
I want a repeat, but my flying Cinderella disappears immediately afterward. She doesn’t leave a glass slipper, either—just a pair of panties with chocolate bunnies printed on them.
But I will find her.
My face literally hurts from smiling. About That Story
It’s FUNNY!! I mean, really funny. My whole body shook, trying to suppress my laughter made me snort and I accidentally doinked myself on the head with my kindle. Stacy is Sassy
ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS. I need more from Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby already! Booklovers for Life
This is such an amazing story! I laughed, I cried, and devoured the pages. Kitty’s Book Spot

This book is so much FUN!! It is well written and edited, which I really appreciate.
The characters are fabulous and you want them as friends. Buy this book if you need to raise your spirits!
I laughed so hard while reading this and had to buy the subsequent book and preordered the next one. I’m addicted!
A fun read!
I loved this story! Can’t wait to read more from the author. =)
This book is hilarious! Brynn is in the midst of divorce from her unmanly husband. To cheer her up her friends take her to a party with the hopes she will find a very short term guy to get over her husband. They send Brynn off to kiss the first guy she sees and it’s a doozy. Tom is the guy with muscles and man hands that Brynn kisses. Oh, and there is a bit about a viral sex video. I laughed out loud at these two. Brynn is fun and the two of them together sizzle like the bacon Brynn lines to eat.
Lighthearted, romantic and entertaining.
I laughed out loud. The two main characters have witty banter back & forth.
i thought this was one of the funniest romances I’ve read. So uplifting. So many LOL moments. You don;t want to put it down. A book to make you feel good and happy. The characters were great. (Even the talking penis) HAHA! Really original. When done you wish every woman could find a man like that. A lot of female faces would be walking around with smiles on their faces.
Mmm Man Hands Indeed!
This is #01 in the Man Hands Series by Tanya Eby and Sarina Bowen.
HEA with No cliffhangers! (Mostly, see review for more details!)
This is the first so could be read on its own, but the characters are all involved in each others lives and stories so I HIGHLY suggest reading them in order to get the best experience.
Content Warning:
There is sex and dirty talk, and its oh so good. There is cursing. Ash especially has a potty mouth.
(My favorite kind of story, but maybe not yours!)
Story
Man Hands is quite literally about hands that are manly, YUM, but also about so much more! All the characters in this book come in play, with two getting their own book. I have a sneaking suspicion that there will be more on that front so make sure to pay attention, because you may be revisiting that person later. I wouldn’t even mind seeing Chandra get her own story, despite how much you initially loath her.
Brynn is a food blogger and newly divorced. She is currently unemployed and feeling sorry for herself despite wanting the divorce. The guy really wasn’t a great husband and if it were not for her ex’s actions later in the story, I would of thought he was just using her as a beard. Her two friends are determined to get her out of her gutter by taking her to a party.
… Let me rephrase that. …
Her one friend, Sadie, is kind and wants her to get back into the dating game and find love. Her more abrasive friend, Ash, wants her to find Mr. Right Now for a hot and dirty ride. Combine this with Tiki drinks and the need to do something impulsive, and you get the night of her life that sets this whole thing into motion. And don’t worry if Ash gets on your nerves for being a big B, cause she is going to get hers in the next book, and its going to be oh so good!
Tom Spanner is a TV personality focusing on home renovations. He does a lot of the work on screen with his Yummy Man Hands and the girls go wild! While his show is on hiatus, his friend Braht talks him into throwing a party at his house were the sexiest woman he has ever seen jumps him and gives him the sexiest experience he has ever had in his life.
…. And yes Braht is what he wants to be called, and yes, it is pronounced just like the sausage, and yes we will see him again in the book #2 and maybe find out what his real name is! ….
A pair of chocolate bunny panties is his glass slipper and the hunt is on for his dream woman. Once he finds her, the lines get skewed while he is trying to lay claim to her. It makes for laugh out loud good times!
Man Hands has a lot of tongue and cheek humor, mixed with steamy goodness, which lands this book on my Favorites list! Brynn’s blogging reminds me of Delicious Dish from SNL.
The end is not quite a cliffhanger, but its a little bit for me as in that I have to wait till book #02 to hear the deets on the pantry incident. Those two are going to be a panty melting hot mess and it is going to be good! I can’t wait!
FYI: At the end of the ebook version there is a sneak peak of #02: Man Card.
Author
Tanya Eby and Sarina Bowen make a great writing team. I look forward to listening to more from these two!
Tanya is a writer and a narrator. Be sure to check her out on both ends of the spectrum.
Narrator(s)
Luke Daniels and Erin Mallon both narrate this story on an alternating chapter basis. You get two versions of every character when its done this way. They both did a great job and it would be hard to pick a favorite among the two performances. I would of loved to of had this be a true Duet, but that’s just me.
Audio Production
Normal speed was fine.
Ebook obtained through my local library (Overdrive).
Audiobook obtained at my request and I am voluntarily leaving this unbiased review.
So so funny. Laugh out LOUD funny, and fast-paced, and well written. I loved Tom and Brynn. The story goes in unexpected directions and you’ll love the ride. I just wish it were longer.
One of the few occupational hazards that comes with reading and reviewing so many books over the course of the year, is that they begin to run together. Storylines blur, characters act the same, and before long, you’re growing tired of reading the same story with only the names changed. Well, I just read a book that will cure you of all of those ailments.
Man Hands, a collaboration between Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby is a slapstick comedy that avoids being a cliche. It’s instant love that you’re not rolling your eyes at, but instead, cheering about. I generally avoid books with raunchy, middle school humor. I live with an eleven year and get enough of those annoying jokes in my daily life. I don’t want to read about it when I’m trying to escape. Instead, what we get is a romantic comedy that expertly tiptoes the line between inappropriate and downright hysterical.
“I have no idea. Let’s simplify it—we’re looking for a man instead of what you’ve been attracted to.”
“What have I been attracted to?”
“Gwyneth Paltrow, I’m pretty sure.”
Man Hands isn’t just all comedy. At it’s heart, it is a touching story about Brynn and Tom who were each left feeling less than after their previous relationships imploded. A chance encounter (which was super hot) changes both of their lives in ways they never expected. Their chemistry was scorching and worked to their advantage. Their friends made for excellent side stories. Ash, Sadie and Braht are all people I would want in my life. They provided comic relief and brought more depth to the story.
The drama in Man Hands is low, but the people, their lives, and their feelings are very real. I read this book with a permanent smile on my face. It was smart, quirky, and a breath of fresh air.
I waited to write this review because I wanted to write something profound. Or at least something that conveys just how funny this book is.
You know, either one.
So, I laughed. I laughed a ton. I laughed out loud. I laughed and laughed and laughed.
You will laugh too.
I guess my only “complaint” is that the characters were older, but they never acted like it. Actually, let’s just change this. I don’t want to say complaint because why should I complain about a couple who is still young at heart. My forty year old husband still acts like a teenage guy at times. Super grabby, stupid comments, sexual innuendos over things that shouldn’t be considered sexual.
Yeah, so no complaints. This book is cute and full of humor. I can’t wait to read book two. Mostly because that couple has a hate-filled lust thing going on.

‘‘Caution: May cause laughing out loud and giggling. Do not read in a public places where people might think you lost your mind’’
I wish there was a caution like this at the beginning so that I would have been ready to laughing out loud or giggling without getting weird looks from the people around me. As you can imagine ‘Man Hands’ by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby is hilarious Sarina Bowen is one of my favorite authors and her books are auto-buys for me. As always she didn’t disappoint with ‘Man Hands’. As for Tanya Eby, she is a new author to me but I am looking forward to read more from her. I will do my best not to spoil the story and hopefully my review will make justice to the book.
Brynn is in her mid-30’s, a writing professor and a food blogger. She is a recent divorcee and her divorce not only causes her to lose her husband, she also loses her job. While she is struggling with her insecurities, her best friends Ash and Sadie have a solution for her to get over divorcee and unemployed status. Their solution is ‘‘in order to get over someone is to get under someone else’’ and this someone else must be opposite of her usual type. In order to put their plan in motion, they convince Brynn to go to a party with them. Annnnd the fun begins at the party Tom, aka Mr. Fixit Quick, is a TV show host. His home renovation TV show is on hiatus just like his love life. However, everything gets complicated when a random woman charges on and literally jumps on him at the party. This leads to the hottest event of Tom and Brinn’s lives. Add disappearing act, chocolate bunny panties, and boathouse to the hook-up and you will get an event that will turn their lives upside down. Are you curious what happens after their hook-up? If yes, you should start reading the book
‘Man Hands’ was hilarious, sweet and sexy. I could not put my kindle down until I was done with it. If you are looking for a funny, sweet, fast paced and lighthearted book, I totally recommend you to read ‘Man Hands’. And a good news second book of the series ‘Man Card’ will be out on January 15th, 2018. I can’t wait to read Ash and Braht’s story
Would I recommend this book: Yes.
Would I re-read this book: Yes.
Would I read future books by this author: Yes.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect from Man Hands, Sarina Bowen an author I love but Tanya Eby is a new author to me, would they gel, would I like her style of writing well I needn’t of worried they certainly have started this new series and new collaboration off with a bang, this is a MUST READ !!!
This review is going to be hard to write without giving too much of Tom and Brynn’s story away so all I’m leaving you with is Man Hands is hilarious, it’s romantic, it’s charming and the banter is perfect, you will fall in love with this awkward quirky pair and this book will make you laugh and I mean snort out loud laughter but it will also make you swoon. What a brilliant start to a new series can’t wait for more from this writing collaboration.
