“This book is absolutely hilarious! It’s a fantastic, swoon-worthy read you won’t be able to put down!” ★★★★★
Nothing is off-limits to the city’s biggest player, Brennen Bergen…except schoolteacher Abby Quinn.
Here’s the thing…
The last guy Abby dated did a number on her heart. She needs a reset. A complete life do-over!
Enter the man fast.
No dating. No worrying about liars and cheats. … fast.
No dating. No worrying about liars and cheats. And no getting her heart broken!
But her resolve is about to be tested when Brennen crashes into her life as a classroom volunteer.
And guess what he wants?
Yep! He wants her!
He’s exactly the type of guy she shouldn’t date. But looks can be deceiving. And there might just be more to this playboy—a side that no one else has ever seen.
What’s a girl to do? Stick to the fast or give in to the bad boy? Or…is there another option?
“I was hooked from beginning to end! This is my first book by Krista Sandor, but it won’t be the last.” ★★★★★

The start of a new series called Bergen Brothers I could not stop laughing this story makes you feel good. Brennen Bergen and Abby Quinn’s story has you believing in second chances. I can not wait to read the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
A beautifully written tale of second chances, proving that everyone deserves a chance at forgiveness. I’m a sucker for a good playboy character, especially one that is doing it to avoid dealing with a tragic loss. Brennen Bergen is the perfect guy you want to dislike, but you’ll find yourself rooting for him to find his own happiness, even if it’s with a girl he can’t have. I listened to this while driving to Denver, and it was the perfect backdrop, since that’s where the story takes place. A wonderful start to a new series, I can’t wait for Man Feast!
4.5 Stars The blurb of this book intrigued me and the cover had me sold. When I first started this book I wasn’t sure about Brennen. I was not fan of his in the beginning, but watching Abby weave her magic with her personality she brings out the true Brennen that’s been hiding. The scenes with Abby’s students are too cute and funny. A few of my favorite parts of the book. Abby and Brennen have the chemistry, but Abby is on a man fast. Brennen is in new territory when it comes to Abby. She makes him want to be a man he is proud of. Brennen has many swoon worthy moments in this one. He did win me over rather quickly. I really liked Abby. She’s has a lot of spirit. I would want to be friends with her. She’s breath of fresh air. It’s a book that I gobbled up real fast and one that was hard to put down. It gave me the feels, humor, and heat.
This was a pretty good read. The writing flowed well, and I liked Brennan and Abby together for the most part. Brennan has an almost immediate turn around when he meets Abby. That was a little too far fetched for me, considering the picture that is painted of him before that. Abby was nice, and I thought she was a good match for Brennan. I was not a fan of Elle. I know she was family, but she tried to play the role of mom to Abby, and I felt like it wasn’t even close to being her place. The whole “man fast” thing was just silly in my opinion. I get that Abby wanted to discover herself, but she breaks the fast first by being with Brennan, and even after she cuts off the physical stuff she’s still dating him. The ending was sweet, and this was a good first read for me from this author.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
After Abby comes home to a Dear Jane letter on her front door, she leaves Florida for Denver where her cousin lives. She is hired as a first grade teacher at a local private elementary school. Brennan is forced by his family to take over his grandmother’s volunteer duties at the school after an intervention into his partying, playboy ways. He tries to skate by but Abby isn’t having that. She calls him out on day one (excerpt below). Once they stop fighting their attraction is undeniable, but Abby is on a self-imposed man fast for 74 days and feels strongly about completing it.
I really enjoyed this book. I especially loved it when Brennen finds out about Abby’s fast, the reasons behind it, and the meaning of 74 he is all in to help her reach her goals. And the way he steps up and helps her class is awesome. Their chemistry is off the charts, but it’s refreshing to read about a couple who spends time together trying new things and getting to know each other.
One thing I love about Krista Sandor books is that her characters deal with heavy issues, but yet they are not heavy books. Both Abby and Brennen had major things in their pasts but they are not angsty characters at all. Abby is a survivor who does what needs to be done and is determined to live her best life. Brennen realized that his partying was avoiding his issue but he was able to deal with it in a healthy way.
I loved this book and can’t wait to read the books for the other brothers.
This was a cute read. Can’t wait for Elle and Jas’s book.
Where to begin? This is my first novel by this author and I picked it up because I live in Denver and thought heck ya I have got to read this! I am definitely not disappointed and I can’t wait for what lies ahead with this amazing family!
What I loved most about this book was the importance of “family” though both had some tragic backstory they both still had family to help them through! I also loved the friendship that both characters built and how they supported one another! It allowed them to grow and really made the story so heartwarming! The one thing I loved above all else with this book was the message of self love! Both characters had to learn to discover who they were and find a sense of peace with themselves! You don’t see that often and I loved seeing it with these two amazing characters!
Man fast is a hot steamy read that you can’t help but fall in love with. You fall in love with Abby right away. She is trying to do things for herself and not jump into a relationship right away with both feet. Brennen is a cocky playboy trying to and party to forget. Brennen is hard not to love even in the beginning of the book when all you want to do is smack him or shake him. The relationship between Abby and Brennen is sweet, hot and full of awe. Watching it unfold you just melt a little every step of the way.
4.5 Flipping Stars!
This book has it all ~ heartbreak, tragedy, triumph, and fun! Abby’s story is one that you can feel, it’s realistic and relatable. Brennen brings the swoon back to relationships, especially for someone who simply doesn’t do relationships! His “field trips” are fun and well thought-out. It was nice to see such believable character growth in both Abby & Brennen. Well done Krista ~ I absolutely loved this story.
Krista Sandor totally blew me away with the start of this new series! I adored her previous series, but I have a feeling the Bergen Brothers will be some of my favorites. Man Fast is all kinds of fun with sweetness and bits of humor to balance out the heavier emotions that also go along with a true romance. And the swoon? Off the freaking charts! My heart melted countless times during Abby and Brennen’s story.
Abby is so very sweet and kind. You can’t help but feel for her after she’s been dumped in such a harsh way, but then you see the strength she has hiding beneath that sweet exterior. A woman determined to stand on her own two feet and never be a doormat again gives birth to the man fast. Of course that’s exactly when life throws the sexy, arrogant playboy that is Brennen right into her path. Brennen at first seems like every rich, single, cocky guy out there but the more time he spends with Abby the more the real Brennen seems to come out. These two build a wonderful friendship around the chemistry that is nearly instant between them and as that chemistry becomes explosive sparks that friendship grows into a beautifully sweet love.
Krista Sandor has out done herself with this book and I really can’t wait for the next of these brothers to fall in love.
This a great book! I totally enjoyed it. It’s the first in The Bergen Brothers Series. You have Abigail Rose Quinn (aka Abby Rose) who is a teacher and was just dumped by her lame boyfriend of 6 years. She just relocated from Florida to Denver and is now on a self imposed “man fast”. Brennen Bergen is a rich playboy who’s about to be cutoff from the family fortune if he doesn’t get his act together. He is now a volunteer in Abigail’s classroom and is seriously testing her man fest. There is lots of laughs and hot steamy scenes and awww moments. Can’t wait for the next book in this series.
Brennen and Abby will inspire you with their story. Both are dealing with the lost of parents. While Abby took a more mature approach with hers, Brennen found himself spiraling down a path that almost got him kicked out the family. When his grandmother intervened by having him volunteer at his old elementary school, meeting Abby became his saving grace. Her take no prisoners and having him look inside himself was just what he needed to pull him out of his demise.

WOW! This book was amazing!! I loved the charaters and the Colorado setting. With all the facts about Colorado, it made it somewhat informative. The Man Fast is a genius idea!! Once I really got into this book, I did not want to put it down.
I loved the premise of this book and I’m so glad that it lived up to my expectations! From the very beginning, the light and fun writing style drew me in and I knew I was going to enjoy the book. The story follows Abby, a teacher who realizes that she’s let herself take a backseat to the men in her life. When her boyfriend dumps her via note, she decides to go on a 74-day fast from men and focus on herself. Her plans go awry when she meets Brennen, Denver’s biggest playboy – if there was ever a man who needed a fast from women, Brennen is it. They are forced to work together in Abby’s first grade classroom, and Abby begins to see a side of Brennen that he tries to keep hidden. Beneath that playboy persona is a great guy just waiting to come out. But as they get closer, the man fast becomes more difficult to uphold, and Abby must choose between giving in and holding strong.
I will readily admit that Brennen was extremely offputting from the start – let’s just say I’m glad he got tested before things excalated between the couple. He most certainly needed a fast from women, since he’s just masking his pain with sex. It took a little while, but he became a truly loveable character whose devotion to Abby was readily apparent. The classroom interactions were also fun to read – Brennan’s certainly not the type of guy most people would expect to excel with 6-year-olds, but it was adorable to read those scenes. The chemistry between the two was clear from the start; if anything, that’s where this story faltered for me. I was expecting more of a slow burn (considering the man fast), but the steam doesn’t take that long to kick in. Overall though, I loved the writing style from this author and would definitely check out the next book in the series. It moved quickly, the characters were endearing, the relationship development was great, the banter was fun to read and the tone was light while still having plenty of emotional depth.

As a Colorado native, it’s always nice to read about home, especially since I haven’t been back in quite a while. <3 This story was just so much fun! Even when you don't like Brennen, it's hard not to see why he's so magnetic and charming. Emma is totally relatable and also difficult not to find endearing.
Family members meddling, learning how not to buy your way out of problems and just some good old fashioned wooing! A great story, start to finish. This couple is fantastic together with some intense chemistry.
Can't wait to visit the Bergens again with the next one!
I really enjoyed this book. It had a bit of a slow start but things amped up quickly.
Abby has moved away from her home and her ex. Leaving behind another terrible part in her life. Traveling a long way to stay with her cousin and a new start. I don’t think she ever could have imagined just what was in store for her.
Brennen is the state playboy. Always with a new woman or in the tabloids. When forced to grow up or be cut off from the family business, he has to move along from being a most sought after bachelor.
These two are so much fun to read together. They have some silly, intense, hot and heavy moments that make you enjoy this entire story.
Looking forward to the second in the series.
4.5/5
Man Fast is my first book by Krista Sandor, and I was more than happy with it. It’s told in 3rd person POV (not my favorite) but I powered on through and came to love these characters. Abby is a new teacher at a prestigious private elementary school in Denver, Colorado. She clashes with Brennen Bergen on her first day when he’s assigned as her voluntary classroom assistant.
Brennen doesn’t want to be there any more than Abby wants him to be, and when he fails to do the one thing she requested he help with she is quick to put him in his place.
Being chastised by a teacher in a supply closet wasn’t on Brenen’s to-do list, but neither was falling for her.
Abby is on a ‘man fast’ after being dumped by her very douchey ex-boyfriend. She’s sworn of men for 74 days and is not expecting to fall for another man. Certainly not the man who wound her up on her first day of teaching.
This was a fairly fast-paced but not overly angsty story. Both Abby and Brennen have some baggage from their past.
Neither is looking for love, but fate had other ideas.
The chemistry between these two was hot as Hades. Brennen knew what he wanted and went for it, but still listened to Abby in the matters of their hearts.
They were from opposites ends of the scale, Brennen’s a billionaire playboy, or he used to be. Abby is a lowly teacher, they shouldn’t have worked, but their relationship was simple and easy almost from the start.
But, the past intruded and that’s when things got difficult.
Can they forge their way through?
Fun and laughter and a classroom full of 1st graders certainly help, and risking all where your heart’s concerned is the biggest chance anyone can take.
A sweet romance with a sweet ending.
Man Fast is the first book in the Bergen Brothers series. I really liked it. I loved Brennan and Abby. They had such great chemistry and were just perfect for each other. I loved them together! Looking forward to reading more in this series!
So many awesome feelings when you read this book! You can thank the amazing skills of our wonderful author for feeling all the emotions!
Her characters are realistic, beautiful, moody and honestly always have something that they need to work on with themselves which then just makes them better for their partner and with their partner!
I never want Kristas books to end!
Abby wants a fresh start after being dumped by her inconsiderate boyfriend who dumps her via a note. She packs her bags and heads to Denver, where she teaches at a private school and makes a pact with herself to go on a Man Fast for one year. Can she do it? After unknowingly running into a self absorbed jerk who makes Abby late for school and shows up at said school, she is fuming. When she learns that the absorbed Jerk (Brennen) is also doing community volunteering and in her classroom, she does her best to keep him at arms length by being cold and not impressed with the fact that is very wealthy, former pro skier, and huge womanize. As Abby and Brennen work together and become friends, Brennen finds himself going on a Woman Fast. Abby fights the attraction, not wanting to become one of Brennan’s ‘snow bunnies’ as he is falling for her big time. Little bit of Angst, Romance, and Humor makes Man Fast a fun read! Would highly recommend!!!
