AHH!! I have enjoyed the previous books in the Man Hands series from both Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby and was super excited to read Man Cuffed. Maguire and Meg were super cute. There were moments where I couldn’t stop laughing. I enjoyed their banter and the build up of their friendship.
Anyone who knows me knows that I am hit or miss with romantic comedies as sometimes the humor and I don’t mesh well but Man Cuffed hit the perfect spot. It was funny and cute. I found Maguire and Meg to be adorable neighbors and friends (with benefits) who realize there is a magnetic pull between them. This was a great, fun read.
Overall, this was the perfect low-angst, humorous read to sink into. I rooted for them right off the bat and hope we see more from this gang in the future! 4 Stars, Ratula
Oh my goodness. This Man Hands series has been filled with over the top cooky romantic comedies from the start, but I think Man Cuffed might be the zaniest yet. It had one of the funniest beginnings I’ve read in a long time. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby definitely know how to get a gal hooked from the get-go and keep up the hilarious drama to keep me reading.
Mac and Meg were messes. Both of them. Meg hit 30 and started to worry she hadn’t accomplished enough in life. That led her to move in next door to Mac. Mac’s a hot cop with strict rules about no relationships. The two have undeniable chemistry, which leads to issues because no relationships and a maybe mid-life-ish crisis. Somehow Mac and Meg managed to be super hot together while also being incredibly awkward. Everything that went on was hilarious and that doesn’t even include all of the incredible side character stuff.
I loved every minute of this book. I was hoping and praying that it was going to be the crazy fun book to help get me out of mini-book hangover I was having. It totally was! Thank you, Man Cuffed for being the book I needed you to be.
I absolutely loved this! Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby bring their A game with this hot-cop meets the hot girl next door.
I couldn’t stop reading this book. I just had to know what happened to Meg and Mac. And I was not disappointed.
I don’t think you will be either!
Do you need to laugh?
Do you want some sexy times?
Do you like hot-cops?
Then Man Cuffed is the book for you!
4.5
Meg and Mac were funny, sexy, and cute which is my favorite combination! I love Meg’s happy and fun demeanor and how that contrasts to Mac and his brooding. They have two fantastic meet cutes and they had me excited from the start to see what happened between them. I love that just because it’s a rom com doesn’t mean there isn’t a great emotional story and journey going on. I loved seeing how Mac learned from Meg to overcome past hurt. I just loved these two!!
The dynamic rom-com tag team, Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are back with another laugh out loud book in the Man Hands series. Man Cuffed is the fourth book in the series and can be read as a stand alone novel. This fantastic new release with have the readers laughing out loud in pure delight while also fanning themselves from the sizzling hot romance.
Mac Maguire and Meg Matthews are neighbors. They have both had bad experiences in past relationships. Meg is still willing to put herself out there and try again while Mac is good with staying unattached and single. They are both scarred from their past. While they both have undeniable chemistry it is evident they want very different things in life. We all know opposites attract!
It all begins with a hilarious and very embarrassing meeting. As neighbors they begin to build a very good friendship. When Mac needs a fake girlfriend he finds that Meg is the perfect choice. She’s an actress and can easily pull it off. What neither realizes is their hearts and their heads are not on the same page. They have real feelings for one another and their chemistry is undeniable. One kiss changes it all and takes their relationship to a whole new level and the real fun begins!
Man Cuffed is a low angst, delightful romance that is also very emotional. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby always deliver a great book that ends with a SMILE!
Read Man Cuffed by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby!
I have loved this series so when I saw there was going to be a new book in this series I got super excited. This one is Meg’s ( Sadie from Boy Toy sister) story. Her first encounter with Mac was hilarious, I could actually picture it in my head and was mentally cringing for her whilst simultaneously laughing my a** off.
I loved Meg she was hilarious, sexy, sassy and her rambles were brilliant. Mac is the complete opposite of her, he’s straight, serious and seriously sexy with his handcuffs. Who knew listening to someone else have sex was hot?!?!?
If your looking for an easy to read, entertaining, steamy read then this one is for you as this talented duo did a brilliant job. Great addition to this entertaining series
What an entertaining story that had me giggling a fair bit!
I admired Meg and her ability to be captivating, funny and alot of fun to be around! Having Maguire as her neighbor, needless to say you certainly experience something else!! The thin walls between their apartments made for entertaining stories!! Was way too funny!
I absolutely adored this book and thought their families and friends were a hoot! If you are after a book that is lighthearted, fun, with characters that make you laugh, this will be right up your alley!
This book was such a funny read!
Authors Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby bring us another book that is an instant reread feel good book.
Meg & Mac had me belly laughing with their outtakes in this story.
I enjoyed how easy this book was to pick and read through one sitting because it had relatable and laugh out loud characters.
There is plenty of love, steamy moments and just all around good story of opposites attract.

Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are back and Man Cuffed is a great addition to their Man Hands series. As with the other books it is hilarious with laugh out loud moments and characters you will love.
Meg and Mac certainly don’t have a conventional meeting when she mistakes him for a stripper instead of a legitimate cop. Then she finds out he is her new next door neighbor.
From the jump their chemistry and banter are so much fun to read and the evolution of their relationship from neighbors to fake dating to more was entertaining. Meg is more willing to put herself out there to find love, while Mac does not want a relationship. Lines start to blur, though, as a mutual attraction develops.
Man Cuffed can be read as a standalone, but I do recommend reading the whole series.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC for an honest review.
Sarina and Tanya joined forces once again to create the funniest, sweetest and most romantic story EVER! Ok, maybe I’m biased because I love them so much, but for real, this book is awesome and you all need to read it.
Man Cuffed follows the adventures (and misadventures) of Meg. She’s an actress but haven’t had a lot of luck in the “hunting jobs” department so we see her at the beginning of the book working as waitress in a bar, where the most closer to acting she gets is dressing up to serve the tables.
It’s in that place when she first met our hero. A sexy cop named Mac, whose she confuses with a stripper (and with the detailed description of his fine appearance, I would try to get him out of his clothes too).
So let’s say that’s not one of her finest moments, but after that she’s ready to start a new life and be a better version of herself. What she doesn’t know is her neighbor is about to test her resolve (among other things).
Yup, you guessed right. Meg is Mac’s new neighbor. Mac’s new and sexy neighbor.
When I said at the beginning of this post that this book was hilarious, sweet and beyond fabulous I wasn’t exaggerating because it truly is. Sarina and Tanya had mastered the art to create swoon-worthy male characters, badass female characters and mix them together in a journey any reader can relate with. Their problems are real problems, their fears and hopes could be the same as yours, and while you see them getting their HEA you feel is possible for you to find your own. That’s one of the things I love the most about this writing duo.
Can’t wait to see to which adventure they will take me next.
Bowen & Eby are back with the arrestingly funny addition to the Man Hands series!
It’s a hilarious case of mistaken identity when Meg incorrectly pegs “Hot Cop” Mac as a stripper. Having his uniform torn from him is not how he envisaged his shift going, but that’s exactly what the nutty waitress at his call out attempts to do.
He’s pretty much reconciled that he’ll never live it down at the station, but what he doesn’t expect is his ‘would-be’ offender moving in next door.
Meg is an entirely endearing character and whether it’s a role or a feeling, she immerses herself with unashamed abandonment. Off the cuff their personalities may make them appear as an odd pair, but they complimented each other so well, they could easily handle themselves against any of the best buddy cop duos.
There is little defence against the this Bowen & Eby when it comes to raising laughs, and as is the case with of Man Cuffed, they continue to maintain their right to remain sexy.
6 Hearts!
Man Cuffed is Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby’s newest laugh out loud, freaking hilarious book in the Man Hands series. I can’t even express how much I loved this book! I finished it in one sitting and didn’t want it to end. My blog partner and I were buddy reading it and sending quotes back and forth and it was so much fun! I’ve been looking forward to Meg’s story since Boy Toy and it was worth the wait. Sarina and Tanya are hilarious and talented and these characters are everything! Meg is confident, beautiful, sassy and always says exactly what she means. She isn’t afraid to speak her mind and she doesn’t play games. She walked right up to a man dressed as a cop, thinking he was a stripper and tried to take his clothes off. He wasn’t a stripper. Now he’s her neighbor. And the walls are very thin, so she can hear every single thing he does in his apartment. Mac was instantly attracted to the woman who tried to strip him and now she lives next door. He catches her in his apartment and to make it up to him, she agrees to be his date for his sister’s wedding. They quickly become friends but their attraction is just simmering under the surface. He actually likes this woman, but he doesn’t do relationships or love anymore. Meg is a Trouble with a capital T. His defenses aren’t that good. One night will never be enough. She’s breaking down his walls and he’s actually smiling and joking around now. Will the pretending turn real? Will Mac realize he needs to step up before he loses the best thing that’s ever happened to him? I LOVED this story! Mac is broody, gorgeous, protective and hilarious! I couldn’t be more in love with this sexy copper! He might be one of my favorite fictional cops ever. Ever! Overall, it’s my favorite of the series and one of my favorites of the year!
If I see Sarina Bowen’s name I read it! She is definitely a one click author for me and Man Cuffed did not disappoint. I always enjoy the Man Hands books because Sarina and Tanya Eby are a magical duo who write a book that is equal parts sexy and humorous it’s a complete have your cake and eat it too story.
This book is a standalone but if you enjoyed it you should absolutely go back and read the others in this series because while the stories are not the same the vibe is and that vibe is a great one! My one warning is read this book in public with caution as you will be caught audible sighing and laughing.
I instantly loved Meg and found myself rooting for her. I took a bit longer to warm up to Mac but once I did I completely fell in love with him. These two are one of my favorite couples to come out of this series.
I was gifted this book early to review all thoughts and opinions are my own and freely given.
3.5 stars–
It turns out I had a lot in common with Mac because I struggled to commit to Man Cuffed and this couple. I started and stopped this book a handful of times, convinced I just wasn’t in the right sort of mood for a romantic comedy to resonate with me. All the pieces were there to make this a hit: polished writing, bright and fun dialogue, silly situations even if they were a bit ridiculous, and well-flushed out, likable characters, so I just kept thinking it had to be me. And honestly, it probably was.
Man Cuffed is fun, flirty, and sexy with a heroine that gets into all sorts of trouble and a dirty-talking hero cop. However, humor is subjective, and despite enjoying other collaborations by these authors, I simply found neither Mac’s grumpiness and allergy to commitment nor Meg’s frantic, devil-may-care approach to life all that funny or charming. I liked them just fine, I just never felt that pull of the couple, so I wasn’t all that invested in Meg and Mac’s happy ending. Between the lack of connection and the fact that I wasn’t constantly laughing, I couldn’t help but feel very on the fence throughout the first half or so of the book. That said, once some of the shenanigans fell away and I had a chance to see how sweet and supportive this couple could be for one another, I found my interest in how these two neighbors would go from a light-hearted sexy fling to something more substantial reignited. The ending was sweet, though I think I was expecting a bit more “pow” after the major conflict. In the end, despite Man Cuffed not being a huge hit for me, I would still recommend this title to fans of this series, this author duo, and those who like silly, sometimes ridiculous humor.

It took me a while to get into this one, which is why I haven’t rated as high as I would normally like to with Sarina Bowen books. I have been enjoying getting to know all the various characters in this series, and I do vaguely remember Meg from her sister’s book.
I liked that Meg was a pretty quirky and funky character. I also liked that she didn’t take any crap from anyone. She was a fun character to get to know. Some of her antics were quite over the top, but things just seemed to work for her and her personality.
Mac was an enigma all of his own, although he was a very frustrating one at times. I liked that he was upfront with Meg from the start, but he also needed a bit a kick up the bum or a slap around the head to just come to his senses at times.
I did also think that when it came to the grand gesture part of the book, it kind of fell a bit flat. I mean, the situation was a bit out of his control, but still. I would’ve liked something a bit…more…I guess.
I liked many of the secondary characters, even some that I didn’t think I would like, and these guys played a bit of a role in the character development for our main pair which was great.
Overall this was still a fun and easy read.
Man cuffed is part of the Man Hands book series but this 4th tome can be read as a standalone. I once again enjoyed this romantic comedy written by both amazing authors. The characters will make us smile, laugh and will also move us. The perfect cocktail for a good reading moment.
Meg is a young woman who would like her talent to be recognized and to live off her passion. Acting is what she prefers doing but it seems that her skin color is a brake on her career because she never gets any role. I liked this character because despite the repeated failures, she never gives up and she sticks to her dream. While waitressing in an Old Tavern between two auditions, she will confuse Mac with the strip teaser supposed to strip for a customer’s hen night. The situation is therefore funy and comedy is present from the beginning and destiny may be tricky because it seems that “Copper” is actually her neighbor. Instead of rejoicing herself, she will have to endure the very sonorous sessions in her neighbor’s appartment by the girl who shares his bed. I also loved all the comic aspects related to the story, such as being handcuffed during the sexual intercourses, breaking and entering into his appartment or being taken in his car during a patrol. ..
Meg is our heroine who and she’ll make us smile because she knows how to put herself in incongruous situations. She will also accept being her fake girlfriend at the hero’s sister’s wedding and she will play the role of her life. We just hope that she will keep a cool head because if the agreement is more than cordial between the two and chemistry is also present, we can’t forget that it’s a fake relationship. Mag being a sociable person, she’ll easily be at ease around Mac’s family and she can also rely on her roommate Cassidy to help, advise or support her in case of disillusion. We have a good time at her side and we hope that she will find both the happiness and fulfillment she deserves.
Macklin McGuire is our hero and he is absolutely charming. He has a good sense of humor, he loves his job and would like to get a new responsability that would allow him to be even more useful. Yet when it comes to women, the word relationship is a word he can’t use. Nicole is his sex friend and he is happy with it but as soon as feelings could appear, he disappears from their lives. So we feel that there is a liability behind all this and we will quickly find out what it is. He doesn’t want to go on this sinuous path because he has already been there and he never wants to suffer anymore. He has no strong bond with his family and will be forced to attend the wedding of his sister Rosie. We will also have explanations on this aspect because we don’t always understand the reasons behind all this but one thing is sure: he has good reasons. We don’t have many chapters written from his point of view, which puts us in the same position as Meg. Will he give up his rules to try tbeing happy again?
In short, our authors duet offers us a very nice romantic comedy, perfect to chill out while having a good time reading it. The plot will allow us to meet two characters who have faced failure but who will learn to move forward. Could love be an unexpected guest?
This is the first Sarina Bowen/Tanya Eby book I have read since Man Hands last year. These books are standalone, with some character overlap. I enjoyed Man Hands very much, so I was looking forward to reading this book. Man Cuffed was a very good read. So much of the book was laugh out loud funny, and the romance was not, although somewhat of a slow burn. My first reaction while still reading this book, was that I need to go back and read Man Card and Boy Toy, because I want to enjoy more books by these authors.
Meg was easy to get to know and love. She was so hilarious throughout the book. She has some personal baggage because of past relationships. She’s close to her family, and has been trying to make her way as an actor, with limited success. I love that she has a sense of humor, and is willing to put herself out there – she’s not afraid to take some risks.
Mac on the other hand, was more difficult to get to know. He has a lot of personal baggage, and the reason why slowly unfolds during the story. Unfortunately, Mac keeps his feelings bottled up, which has prevented him from dealing with the drama in his life. Naturally, this means he isn’t interested in any relationships. However, there is definitely hot chemistry between Mac and Meg from the moment they meet, and they sizzle from their first meeting, and a fake date.
This book has so much humor, with enough twists and angst to grab and hold the reader’s attention. I recommend this book to any readers who enjoy humor with their romance!
From the moment I started reading Man Cuffed, I didn’t want to put it down. My real life has been insanely busy over the last several months and most books I’ve read have taken me eons to finish. But I read this entire book in less than two days. Because yet again, Sarina and Tanya hit it out of the park with their talent for balancing giggle inducing situations with truly heartfelt moments. I’m not always a fan of the rom com novel because I often find them too cheesy or too cringe worthy in attempts to be funny, but this duo know what funny is. And funny is trying to rip real pants off a real cop because you think he’s a stripper and they’re tear away. Which is, in fact, how this book opens. I immediately knew I was in for a treat.
When hot cop Mac walks in to the restaurant struggling actress Meg is working at, she immediately jumps to the wrong conclusion and assumes that he isn’t actually a real cop, but a stripper that is there for the bachelorette party she’s working. It’s embarrassing but also hilarious for all parties involved, but they both think that was the end of that (even though Mac has definitely been casually looking for Meg everywhere he goes ever since). And then it turns out that Meg’s new apartment features very thin walls and a very, ahem… exuberant and vocal man next door. A man that happens to be Mr. Hot Cop himself. And when life leads Mac to need a fake girlfriend for a family function, Meg feels like an obvious choice. She’s gorgeous and entertaining and she is an actress after all. But two people with that much chemistry can’t stay just fake dating for long…
I think what I loved most of all about this book was that it took two relatively common and obvious tropes – fake dating and being neighbors – and made them both feel fresh and new with characters that were also fresh and exciting feeling. Meg was completely over the top and kind of nuts, but in the best way and in a way that truly worked in the world the authors created. And Mac was super intense at times, but it also worked so well to counterbalance Meg.
The chemistry between the main characters was spectacular and I truly loved how well developed they each were outside of just their relationship. When the book is just about the hookup, I often lose interest after that tension is broken. But because Meg and Mac both had stories so highly focused on their job related goals and the whole plot wasn’t just about them getting together, I became even more invested as the story continued. It made them feel real and it provided high stakes for their relationship, especially once you added in the intriguing details of Mac’s weird family dynamic. For an over the top comedy about over the top people, it still felt grounded in real emotions and took me from laughing to feeling all the feels to laughing again, page after page. And watching Meg and Mac both work their way to their own happily ever afters alongside their happily ever after together was a wonderful thing to read.
History has proven that I am incapable of staying away from a Sarina Bowen book, but reading this fourth installment in the Man Hands series she and Tanya have written has me immediately jonesing for even more books in this universe. Please give me more giggles, ASAP.
An ARC was kindly provided in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
You know, (or at least you hope), you’re in for a good time when you’re already laughing 2% into a book! And lucky for me, and you, the laughs continued throughout Man Cuffed. But what’s really great about Meg and Mac’s story was the way Bowen and Eby were able to balance the humor with the more emotional aspects of their story – it wasn’t all laughs as they worked their way towards a hea, but it sure was an entertaining journey.
Meg and Mac are opposites in many ways, not least of all when it comes to romance. Meg’s looking for her happily ever after, while Mac wants nothing to do with commitment, after being burned in the past. It all starts to change when Mac asks Meg for a favor…
I enjoyed this fake-relationship/friends-to-lovers romance. Yes, Mac had a lot of issues to work through, but I appreciated how upfront he was with Meg from the get-go, and that Meg was willing to accept his “conditions”. They had such a great relationship and I liked how they played off each other. Mac reminded me of a big grumbly teddy bear, while Meg is this big ball of energy and light. Neither one expected things to progress between them the way they did, especially Mac, but when the chemistry, and feelings, are there, it’s hard to deny them.
Because of Mac’s history, there is some back and forth before he accepts the inevitable and realizes falling in love won’t always end in heartbreak.
I’m just going to throw it out there and join those hoping that Lance gets his own book. He was such a delight!
Man Cuffed by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby
This book starts with a bang when waitress/actor Meg (bless her little theatrical socks) mistakes police officer Mack for a stripper – could have happened to anyone, but of course it happened to Meg. That was the end of that encounter and the next time they see each other is when they realize they’re now new neighbours. Mack, having been left heartbroken, has sworn of dating and any emotional entanglement and Meg is to be no exception, no matter how much of a delight he finds her. Safe to say, Meg is having none of that particularly when she’s asked to be Mack’s date to his sisters wedding.
While this isn’t my favorite book in the Man Hands series, I still really liked Man Cuffed. I enjoyed the characters progression and adored their personalities, Meg in particular really stole the show for me. While I fell in lust with Mack, I do feel he could have groveled a little more to win Meg back over. There were some really humorous moments that I shamelessly cackled at also some moments that had me invested on a whole other level.
Overall this was an enjoyable story and a great edition to the Man Hands series. And finally, if the authors are taking requests, Lance was a character that demands a story!
