A new stand-alone comedy from the USA Today bestselling duo!MacA good cop can always spot trouble. That’s why my senses started pinging the moment I met the hottie next door. The neighborhood may never be the same. First she confuses me for a male stripper and tries to remove my uniform. (The guys on the force will never let me live that down.) And then there’s the breaking and entering.I don’t … there’s the breaking and entering.
I don’t know what to do with her. My libido has a few ideas of its own, though. Bad, bad ideas.
Meg
Hey, I it’s not my fault that Hot Cop’s nightstick gets excited every time we see each other. And I can’t help that someone broke into his apartment.
Fine—that last thing was totally my fault. And I intend to make amends. So when he needs a date for his sister’s wedding, I’m there. This is right up my alley. I’m an actor. By the time it’s over, his entire family will believe we’re a couple.
Even him.
Warning: may cause unrestrained giggling in public. Contains: a bridezilla with a turkey leg, a flash mob, and a growly hero.

This book was such a fun, hilarious read!
The book started out with one of the best meet-cute I’ve ever read! Meg and Macguire’s witty banter kept me laughing throughout the book. Their conversations, and inner monologues were funny and there was definitely some fun snark thrown in there.
This is the fourth standalone book in the Man Hand Series by Sarina Bowen and Tayna Eby.
Man Cuffed was so hilariously fun to read. Sarina and Tanya are perfection together. I just love the way their writing compliments each other with their funny humor but also so much love and heart.
The laugh out loud moments got me right from the beginning. Meg thinking Mac was a real police officer and she tries to undress him? I couldn’t believe what I was reading but it had me in hysterics at the same time. Talk about epic meet cute.
Meg—oh how I loved her! Her cute quirkiness was adorable, her sass and sunny personality were infectious. Her spontaneity was refreshing & I loved her tell it like it is attitude.
Mac—what a growly alpha man he was! It took me some time to warm up to him. His manwhore ways were a bit over the top for me at times but in the end he did end up growing on me. I did appreciate his honesty right from the beginning with Meg about his hang-ups.
The connection between Meg and Mac was electric. Their chemistry was sizzling hot and I couldn’t get enough!
There were a lot of fun moments with Mac’s family and I enjoyed the unpredictable craziness of it all.
Lance was most definitely my favorite of the side characters and hope to see him get his own book in the near future.
Overall I enjoyed this and would give it 4 out of 5 stars. Rom-com lovers pick this one up. You won’t be disappointed you did!
Thank you Sarina Bowen for an advanced reader copy in exchange of an honest review.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I know I shouldn’t be surprised because I absolutely love Sarina’s books. She has a way of making romance just so fun and enjoyable and this book was no different. I really enjoyed that the main character was a WOC – seriously, its getting better but there’s still a lack of POC main characters so that in itself was a HUGE bonus for me. But I also just LIKED Meg a lot. I don’t tend to read characters of my own age a lot – I’m huge on YA because I tend to feel that I connect with those characters more. Adult characters confuse me – they have their shit together and I definitely do not haha. But Meg felt so relatable, struggling to find a job that paid the bills, struggling to live out her dream even though she keeps “failing” – I felt that and I think that’s why I was immediately hooked. She just felt so real to me. I read this book for, for sure. Mac was a little too gruff for me but I liked that he was captivated by everything that Meg is and I love a story where there’s a bad boy with a heart of gold – though can you consider Mac a bad boy since he’s a cop, hmm… – but I love a story with a guy that refuses to fall in love, usually for some tragic reason, and then does so anyway. You KNOW that its going to happen but its still so insanely fun when it does. All in all, this book is sexy, funny, and just right plain out fun. I hadn’t read the previous three in the series and now I definitely want to go back and read it!
This was such a funny book, from page 1. Meg is hysterical, and she has it together more than she thinks the does. And Mac is the gruff, grumpy, broody, sexy cop next door. The first time she meets, she mistakes him for a stripper, and the hilarity just continues from there.
Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby have written a true gem of a rom-com that will have you smiling from start to finish. With a smart, sexy, confident female lead and a sweet, considerate male lead (even if he doesn’t realize it), this book is definitely relationship goals at it’s funniest and finest. If you want to laugh and read a great HEA, then this book is for you.
I loved this book, and I loved these characters.
Meg, in particular, stood out to me as the perfect lead character. I feel like so often, women trying to break through in acting or singing are portrayed as shallow airheads, but despite being a struggling artist, with an outrageous sense of humor, Meg was strong, independent, and true to herself. I want to be her best friend.
Mac was 100% the typical man who shuts out his feelings, but in a way that felt real. He didn’t just miraculously do a 180 and change his feelings out of nowhere – a phenomenal job was done of showing us the thought process behind his actions.
Add these two characters together with the crazy, hysterical scenes this series is known for, plus a catch up with Sadie and Liam, and you have an incredible, funny, touching love story that will fulfill you in ways that you didn’t even know to ask for.
Before I start this review, I have to mention that when I read this book, I was in a depressed state. This book managed to have me laughing all day and it lifted up my mood.
“There have to be men in the world with good hearts and dirty minds. There just have to be.”
I remember reading this quote above and yelling, “YES!” This book was one of the hottest books I’ve read this year!
We have a cop, Mac, who’s amazing at his job. I’d sleep better knowing I had a Mac around in the streets. When he meets Meg, he has no idea what to make of her. She’s super outspoken, which to me is refreshing. They obviously want each other and when they make it happen, your kindle will be burning!
“There’s more spark between the two of you than a match and some kindling. All you need to get lit is a little rubbing…”
This book features the fake-relationship trope that I love so much. Mac needs a date for his sister wedding and Meg is right there to help. I laughed so much with this novel!
I’m obsessed with Mac and Meg. Their banter was one of the best I’ve ever come across. It totally felt like a real life couple whose conversations are full of comedy. I personally relate because some of the banter/funny conversations that Meg and Mac had, have been some that I have had with my own husband. So I can assure you it is very real and conversations like theirs do happen in real life, even if you’re just laughing through the majority of it all
This wouldn’t be a romance if it didn’t have a bit of drama, but it was handled so well. It’s not the drama you may think. It has to do with Mac, his past and his reason for not wanting a relationship, and man, did my heart break for him. This man is so devoted to his family and his devotion plays a huge role in the entire novel. I can’t say much without spoiling, but you’ll want to pick this one up!
Overall, Man Cuffed is one to watch out for. It induces uncontrollable laughter while also tugging at your heart strings. It’s fresh, it’s mind-blowing, it’s steamy. If you want to get some ab work done while not doing exercise, I suggest you grab this book and proceed to see your abs getting formed with all the laughter you’ll be having.
Man Cuffed by Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby is the fourth book in their co-written Man Hands series. Interconnected standalones told in dual POV, this book takes us outside the circle of friends from the previous three books but not too far. Meg is the sister of Sadie, the main character in book three, Boy Toy and the expansion of this group leaves the door open for more books in the future.
Meg is an actress at heart but a waitress for real. Having decided to move back to Michigan and deeming herself too mature for roommates she moves into a nice small apartment and is instantly serenaded with the neighbors sex noises – turns out the walls are REALLY thin.
Mac is a cop at heart and a cop for real. He is anti-relationship and has just found out how awesomely weird his new neighbor is. The fact that she broke into his apartment to save him from his cheating not-girlfriend aside – he finds her intriguing and enticing.
The story has it’s ups and downs. Mac has a complicated past that he refuses to talk about and he avoids his family at all costs. Meg has a quirky personality that gets her into some awkward situations but thanks to her creative dramatic mind – she can also pretty much rescue herself. The chemistry between them was hot. The secondary characters were awesome. (Lance was too cool!) I really enjoyed this book and it’s laugh out loud moments. Hope you do too!
Man Cuffed is classic Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby. The combination of these two writers produces the funniest and most heartwarming stories. Meg and Mac are both at transition points in their lives when they meet in the funniest way. The best meet cute ever leads to immediate attraction, the flames of which are fanned as they discover they’re new neighbors.
A friendship quickly emerges but the desire for each other simmers beneath the surface. As they negotiate a relationship from friendship to more, before Mac and Meg discover what they want in life. What I especially liked about this book, aside from the hot cop aspect of Mac, was the character of Meg. She has goals even though she might seem flighty. But she’s also at a transition point in her life where she spent years chasing a dream that’s not really working out. She’s at a point where it’s time to consider a new dream. It was gratifying to read about a character who doesn’t have it all together and whose dreams might be changing. In addition to the funny and sweet love story between her and Mac.
Well, they have done it again!
Ever since I heard about the new book in the series I was really happy.
when I got my copy for the book and start reading it I was laughing in no time.
It was one of the funniest rom-com I read in while.
Man Cuffed is the 4th book in the series Man Hands but it`s a standalone book (but if you haven’t read the firsts book you should)
“A good cop can always spot trouble” when Mac walked into a restaurant in the line of duty he never thought he would be recognize as male stripper.
cue in Meg, trying to figure out what to do in her professional life , Meg find hot copper as a good distraction.
when one favor can change your life.
This book was all I need this week, it was funny, it was sexy ( where can I find a hot copper for myself ?) there was so much heat there…
I enjoyed every word in this book .
the collaboration between Tanya and Sarina is just perfect ! I really hope to read more of their crazy funny stories .
until next time <3
Talking about sexy mannnn? Hello Mac, the sexy hottie next door. ManCuffed was an extra sexy Rom-Com with so much laughter..
This duos, Mag and Meg will drive you crazy with hillarious memories..
The thing you do when you keep denying a relationship.. The total opposite..
Meg was an aspiring Actor with sassy and spunky personalities…
RomCom was my new favorite genre and ManCuffed had delivered the story with excellent story.. The humour and sexy flirting were throught the roof. I cant stop laughing and giggling.. so help me.. please keep feeeding me with more story 😉
Some writing duos are pure magic. I think Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby have been getting better and better with each book together. I thought Boy Toy was as funny as it gets, but Man Cuffed is pure hilarity with a cherry on top. It’s one of those rare books that starts strong and just keeps going without a single dull moment.
Meg the bar wench/aspiring actress meets Maguire the potential stripper/Actual cop and it’s pure magic. She wants him; he wants her to be his date to a wedding… what could possibly go wrong with that scenario, right? Throw in some highly amusing friends, adjoining apartments with paper thin walls, some good spirited spying on the neighbours, baked goods, flash mobs… and of course, the actual man cuffing!
I am not going to say much more because this is something you have to read and enjoy on your own. But if you were wondering if it’s worth reading (or if for some strange reason you haven’t read these authors before) then yes, please read this, right now… and any time you are feeling a little low. It’s guaranteed to make you smile and feel like things aren’t so bad after all.
This book was a really enjoyable read. Mac and Meg are great characters individually and I loved them together. I’m not a huge RomCom reader, and this book strikes a perfect balance of humor while still having good emotional connection, and relationship development. For me, it was a mix that led to a great read that kept my attention and left me feeling happy and wanting more when it was over. I recommend this book for anyone looking for something lighter on the angst and funny, but that still has substance.
I adored this book!
This is my first read from this writing duo, but I’m already clamoring for more. This was literally a laugh out loud story that was so fun!
The way these two meet is HILARIOUS!! Meg is such a fun character and Mac is growly indeed, but in a completely sexy way!
Their antics together and the back and forth will have you laughing and shaking your head. Their steamy times are a bonus!! There is a little bit of angst, but it’s short-lived.
And once Mac finally gets his head out of his (you know what) – he is such a sweet talker!!
This is a great read and I can’t wait to read the rest of this series. This one truly did NOT disappoint and I haven’t had this much fun reading a book in a while.
I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.
I absolutely loved this book! I love feisty frisky Meg. Mac is a grumpy growly, hard to resist hunk of man.
The meet- cute is NOT to be missed. A crack up , but not too OTT. Ha, Meg is on fire- funny but sincere in her efforts to be in charge of her success and building her acting career.
Mac and Meg are 180 opposites, but…. they really do compliment each other.
I enjoyed the plot too. Of course, this is character driven. but I do like the set up that puts Mac and Meg together. The lead up to Mac and Meg fake- dating is really fun to “watch”. Their chemistry is off the charts.
Mac wants to bring Meg to a family wedding to show his family, that he’s OK. The “WHY” is explained in due time.
There’s some wrinkles in their plans–of course-nothing is all smooth!
I love the humor. I’ve been missing a good (REALLY GREAT) RomCom. Tanya Eby and Sarina Bowen are a great co-author team. So much energy. There is so much heart to this story.
Meg is one of my favorite, lovable heroines. She’s such a strong person without being too kick ass.
Mac is a big softy. I found that out near the beginning of this book.
Mac’s family members were kind of big jerks in playing favorites… Kinda seemed too real there!
I really do think I need to listen to the audio too. Hurry!
This is a standalone, but the previous Man Hands books are great too. Read them!
The Man Hands series by dynamic writing duo Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby is a favorite for sure, and what a great addition Man Cuffed is to the series! Their trademark humor takes center stage, but we are gifted with heartfelt emotion too. Meg is super fun and someone I’d love to be friends with. And Maguire made me swoon- I love a grumpy hero. Their friends to lovers journey felt authentic. Man Cuffed was just what I wanted when I dove in- a zany and hilarious story that was light on the angst. Such fun! Man Cuffed stands alone just fine, but I predict you’ll want to go back and read the first three books in the series- Boy Toy is my favorite and is just 99 cents at Man Cuffed’s release day.
This book was so fun, adorable and sweet, everything you want in a Rom Com. The book was great between undeniable chemistry to such enjoyable characters. Meg and Mac are definitely a new favorite of mine from Sarina and Tanya! Meg is an inspiring actress, who moves into an apartment right across the hall from a very good looking cop named Mac. In the beginning, Meg hears all of Mac’s activities going on in his apartment but thankfully it doesn’t last. I absolutely love Meg and Mac from the very beginning. The fake relationship trope in this story was actually added an extra fun piece to the story, usually I’m not for it but it was not the case in this one. This story basically had an opposites attract feel to it. Rom Coms are also so enjoyable to read, they have insane chemistry, not a terrible amount of angst and LOL moments!
Mac and Meg are hilarious. The first time they meet she confuses him for a stripper. I love how things play out between them. The things Meg does I don’t think anyone is capable of doing, especially since he’s a cop. I love their banter and how they end up living next door to each other. The things Meg hears coming from her next door neighbor are too funny.
I did feel for Mac and what happened to him with his ex. It’s just messed up and I don’t think I would’ve ever forgiven those involved.
This is a funny, quick, easy read. I highly recommend this book.
This was a great light and funny read! every once in a while I need this kind of book in my life and the authors outdid themselves!
Have you read the Man Hands series by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby yet? Let me tell you, you are missing out if you have not! These books are laugh out loud fun. In Man Cuffed, the fourth book in the series we get a sexy cop, one crazy neighbor, steamy chemistry and a whole bunch of shenanigans!
Meg was feisty and fun. Mac was more serious and on the straight and narrow. Together they did not always make sense, but somehow they did. He is not looking for a relationship, but something about her calls to him. She is fun and cheerful. This was truly a fun and delightful read. I laughed so much and just enjoyed the journey!
Read and reviewed for Sultry and Sirens Book Blog.
Happy reading!
OMG I love Mac & Meg…
Mac is so adverse to a relationship that he gets into one with out even knowing.
Meg is the sweetest thing ever.
Mac needs a Meg in his life and Meg needs a Mac in her’s.
Gawwww these two just fell into place with each right off the bat…well sort of…lol
I loved their back and forth and of course the hot sex did not hurt.
Mac and Meg def got more then they bargained for with each other, but thats a good thing because Mac was in some serious self loathing there for a hot min.
I love these two so much…they made my book slump so much better!
