This is the most fun romance series ever! And more! This is the best book of the series! Meg and Maguire are fun, sexy and their story is such a page turner that you will not put it away until the end.
Meg is a 30-year-old actress trying to find her place in the business and tired of hearing “no” all the time, including her boyfriends. She is moving to Michigan to be near her family and now is neighbor of a hot cop that she only listen to the sexy noises he and his girlfriend are making through the walls that separate their apartments. As in Casablanca, “this is the beginning of a good friendship” which includes a date to Maguire’s sister and helping him facing some truths in his life… They help and support each other, but the word relationship is forbidden! This book is fun, well written and above all a wonderful story that you will love it!!
Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are back! I have loved the previous books in the Man Hands series and was super excited to read Man Cuffed. Once again the two have nailed the perfect blend of laugh out loud humor and heartfelt emotion.
I really enjoyed Meg and Mac’s story from the start. Their chemistry was just off the charts hot. I really enjoyed the back and forth banter between the two and reading the slow burn of their relationship as it went from friendship to so much more. While the story had some very funny moments, there were also more serious underlying issues relating to family betrayal and the fallout from that.
This is a story of opposites attract mixed with friends to lovers, and a fake relationship thrown in. It’s laugh out loud funny at times, wonderfully over the top and a whole lot steamy and sweet. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are a dynamic duo who definitely have a way with words as evidenced in this laugh out loud, yet real and emotional story. I loved everything about this story!
Rom-Com that Sizzles, makes you LOL and sigh
Wow! This book sizzles … it’s an incredibly well written story with fabulous characters, terrific dialogue and an undercurrent of realistic family, career, life drama.
The writing is incredible. How else could a story about a Hot Cop, turkey leg, male stripper, unrealized career aspirations, euphemisms, over involved sisters, Moanies, and FWFB be woven together. This story kept me up at night because I couldn’t put it down.
The dialogue between Mac and Meg will have you laughing and swooning simultaneously. I like the way the authors switched up the point of view between chapters so we could see inside each of the main character’s minds. They are both working through career challenges and fighting off family drama.
They’ve each been betrayed and are guarded as they fight “moth to the flame” attraction. The romance is swoon worthy as they each realize that they are falling for each other. The authors have written such good dialogue that I’m looking at Hubs with the “stink eye” wondering why he can’t be more Mac-like.
Yet amid all of this craziness and romance are stories that we all know …. family estrangement, betrayal by those closest to you, career dreams that are unlikely, family support that is simultaneously fundamental yet nearly suffocating.
If you are looking for a good book that will keep you engaged and make you want to call in sick, this is for you! Download now!! Clear your calendar. You’ll want to binge read and then look for other books by this author duo.
I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
Oh mancuffed was so good i absolutely loved everything about it, there were times i laughed out loud but the story as a whole was such a great story to read.
The way Mac and Meg meet starts off funny and it just doesn’t stop there, i loved Mac he was certainly your strong sexy silent type and it was going to take a lot to get through his walls as when you find out his story you can’t blame him.
In saying that i don’t think he ever expected to meet someone like Meg she certainly challenged him and and don’t think he was used to that, she was also strong and ready to beat Mac at his own game in a way.
I loved Aubrey and Cassidy in this book as well they were such funny friends and even Rosie towards the end had me all girl power but i loved there friendship.
This book had it all, angst, laughs, fake girlfriend, just a great story if you think this sounds like something you like then you have to read this i totally recommend this if your after something light hearted and easy to read.
This is book #4, in the Man Hands series. This book can be read as a standalone novel. For reader enjoyment, and to avoid spoilers, I recommend reading these in order intended.
Meg met Mac under the funniest of circumstances. A case of mistaken identity, a sexy cop, and then an emergency. When they see each other again later it steals the breath from her body.
Mac has the hots for Meg. Has wanted her since the moment they met. They seem to be good friends, so why not stay that way? His family makes him do drastic things.
This is the best book in the series to me. I laughed all the way through. I could not devour the pages fast enough. When I was done, I wanted to read it again. Such an incredible addition to an already excellent series.
***This ARC copy was given in exchange for an honest review only.
This is such a fun, sweet, quirky, funny and just plain wonderful story. I absolutely loved it and adore Mac & Meg!! They are such awesome characters, so likable and real. Their chemistry is off the charts and they are just fantastic together in all ways. From their witty banter to their sexy times, they are a special couple. These two authors have done it again with another fantastically entertaining RomCom!!!
4.5 stars
I can always count on Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby to give me a laugh out loud romcom. This was such a fun book from start to finish! I am a huge fan of the Man Hands series and a big part of that is because each book is just fun, playful, and low drama. There is no heavy lifting, but there are plenty of hilarious moments that will have your stomach cramping from laughing so hard. This is book 4 in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. I do recommend all the previous books though, especially Boy Toy, since some characters from that book do appear.
Mac and Meg are quite the pair. They have amazing opposites attract chemistry and I loved seeing them verbally spar and push each others buttons. Meg’s sunshine and rainbows personality was such a great contrast to Mac’s gruff and grumpy attitude. Their back and forth banter really heightened the sexual tension. I’m not usually a fan of the manwhore type hero, but Mac definitely grew on me, especially after his history was revealed. (I wouldn’t have minded if some of his extracurricular activities in the beginning were left out though.) There is a bit of drama and pushaway late in the story, but it’s resolved just as quickly and the epilogue was the perfect way to bring the story full circle.
One thing I really loved about Man Cuffed is the diversity in the book. I really appreciated how it was incorporated and discussed in the story. The book is also filled with fantastic secondary characters, like Mac’s partner Lance. Their bromance was THE BEST! Lance stole the show every time he appeared and I would love to see a book for him (or Aubrey or Cassidy) in the future. Man Cuffed is an entertaining and lighthearted read that you don’t want to miss!
*I voluntarily read an advance review copy of this book*
4.5 Stars for Man Cuffed yet another entertaining read from the very talented writing duo of Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby. This is book 4 in the very funny Man Hands series but it can certainly be read and enjoyed as a stand-alone.
This is Meg Matthews and Mac Maguire story and what a tale this couple have to tell!! both have had experiences that should put them off future relationships but while Mac wants nothing close to a relationship Meg is open to try her hand at love again. The fun and games really begin when Meg moves in next door to Mac and she totally gets the wrong idea as to what he is doing behind closed doors. What starts off as friendship soon becomes so much more as these neighbors get to know each other and that’s when things also get complicated……
This is a laugh out loud rom com from the first chapter to the very last page, it has characters with sizzling chemistry who also share a lot of witty banter and let’s not forget the secondary characters who appear just enough in this very easy to read entertaining story. A very funny read that also has a great plot make this the perfect book for all romantic comedy lovers as well as romance lovers.
5 Star Review of Man Cuffed (Man Hands #4) by Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby
This was a well written, steamy, fast paced story with characters you cannot help but fall for, hook, line and sinker.
From the moment they first meet you just know that you are in for a fabulous roller coaster of a read. I loved Meg and Mac both separately and together, they are perfect for each other.
This book was full of laugh out loud hysterical moments which had me in tears from laughing so much. It is not all fun though, there are some tense and serious moments dealing with family issues which was difficult, particularly since Mac’s relationship with his brother is almost non existent; I wanted them to sort themselves out.
There were times when I worried that they wouldn’t get their happily ever after. I really love Meg, she is feisty, sassy and determined. Mac was at times frustrating but he got there in the end.
The secondary characters, particularly
Cassidy and Lance, are highly entertaining.
The chemistry between Meg and Mac is intense and you could feel the sparks between them.
Such was the seamless writing from Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby I have no idea where one author finished and the other took over. The flow of the story was fantastic and Man Cuffed ticked all the boxes for me.
Once I started this book, I could not put it down. Right from the beginning of the book I was hooked and laughing out loud so much. I loved Meg’s quirky personality and how stoic and grumpy Maguire was. This book had all of the tropes that I love in a romance: neighbors, hot cop and fake relationship.
Meg has just moved to Michigan and is in between acting jobs. She hilariously runs into Maguire (who is a cop) at the bar she works at when she wrongly assumes he is the stripper sent to a bachelor party. Meg moves into an apartment and who happens to be her next door neighbor? The same hot cop she met (accidentally tried to take his pants off too) at the bachelor party. The rest of the book was equal parts hilarious and sexy.
Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are a dynamic writing duo. This book had me laughing out loud but I was also aware of the sexual tension oozing between Meg and Maguire. The set up to get them together was perfect and I enjoyed the delicious slow burn to get them there. Both Meg and Maguire have a lot of vulnerabilities and don’t exactly want to put themselves out there to be rejected. I was rooting for these two to get together right from the beginning, but it was a matter of keeping them together that was done so well.
One aspect of this book that I really enjoyed was the relationships that Meg and Maguire had with their friends/family members. I really liked the girl gang that Meg formed when she got to Michigan and how they chatted about things that all girlfriends chat about. I also enjoyed Maguire’s relationship with Lance. Those two had me laughing out loud A LOT! I’m so happy I was able to read an early copy of this book and I can’t wait to read the rest in the series!
**ARC provided by Sarina Bowen in exchange of my honest review**
Meg is working as a server in a restaurant , where a bachelorette party is going on. When the cops show up, Meg thinks the strippers are finally here and she ushers them over and tries to rip the clothes off from one hot cop. That’s how she meets Mac!
Talk about embarrassing…. especially when she finds out a few days later he’s her neighbor.
Oh my gosh, this book had so many laugh-out-loud-Moments… it’s absolutely hilarious! But also so heartbreaking when you finally get Mac’s story! And Meg is such a great lady, so wonderful. She’s very genuine with her feelings and emotions. You simply have to love her!
All in all I had a great great time reading this book! I can absolutely recommend this to you, if you need something funny, hilarious, but also love & and a little hurt.
I kindly received an arc from the author and voluntarily left a review
Omigosh!! Another hilarious book by Sarina and Tanya. This is the second book in the Man Hands series that I’ve read. These books can all be read as stand alone’s. This is the fourth book and I was not lost at all with what was going on. I’ve read the first book, Man Hands and then this. Even though I haven’t read the two in between these, it did not matter. Was not lost at all.
Meg and Mac are just coasting through life. Mac tried to be closed off with no emotion. When he had emotion in the past it burned him. He felt it was better to just be stoic. Until Meg came along, that is. Meg is a struggling actress who waitresses. She first met Mac at one of the places she worked. Even though it was an embarrassing mistake on her part, she just let it fly and continues on with her life. The two meet up again with the help of a plant. Yup…a plant!
I straight up laughed out loud in a few parts. Smiled the rest of the time. The things that Meg does yo Mac is just hilarious.
If you want a feel good book, than this is it!
Man Cuffed is the very best of rom-com. Hilarious, sexy and impossible to put down. It has it all; A grumpy, muscly, alfa-male with a bit of a gooey center. A strong, kickass and wonderfully self-assured heroine. And all the wonderful shenanigans those two get up to.
Man Cuffed is awesome. It’s the only way to describe it. There were just so much to love about it. First, the humour. It’s funny AF! The witty kind of funny where, after you stop laughing, you cant’t help but wonder how the author can possibly come up with it all.
Then, it’s the steamy love story. Naturally. It’s sizzling chemistry all the way and a story-line that that keeps you guessing. Wonderful.
I must admit, in the smut and romance genres, I haven’t really considered cops to be particularly swoonworthy. But Mac was the ultimate man-meat. Bowen and Eby truly succeeded in creating a deliciously sexy character in him.
But finally, and most of all. What makes this book stand out is Meg. Sure, all romance novels have more or less strong female leads. But they’re also, way too often, still in need of a manly-man to come save them in one way or another. Meg is strong, but most of all she has a sense of self-worth that isn’t portrayed within the genre very often. She’s not perfect by any means, but she has a backbone of steel and she’s hilarious to boot. That’s another thing to love about her – and the book. Funny female characters aren’t that usual. At least the ones that are funny without putting themselves down. Simply put; Meg is by far one of the best female characters I’ve encountered in the rom-com genre.
In conclusion. Man Cuffed is amazing. I read it. I loved it. And now I need to read all of the other books in the Man Hands series.

Meg is an actress waiting on her big break but making ends meet by being a server. She is sassy, stubborn, and a bit mischievous. She has been unlucky in love but would like to find it…and would settle for some good orgasms like the next-door neighbor seems to be handing out.
Mac Maquire crossed her path initially when she thought he was a male stripper. And later found out they were new neighbors. He is stoic, cynical, protective, and a total commitment-phobe.
A little tit-for-tat and reciprocal favors lead her to act as his fake girlfriend for some family functions. But considering he already has the hots for her, is anti-relationship, and his family is ready to welcome her into the fold, that might not be the best idea. But she is going to be his buffer.
I will admit that I had a bit of a hard time warming up to Mac. He was so gruff and closed-off. And it is a bit uncomfortable for him to be making another woman scream through the thin walls before they got together. But Meg took it in stride and basically just wanted it for herself, and it did show us his anti-commitment stance. It took a while to see more of his heart and vulnerability. Meg was lively, cute, and a breath of fresh air, but even she had some reasons to feel a bit defeated by life.
But later in the book, I started to really like seeing their dynamics get more personal and for them to explore their hot chemistry. There is some angst around the whole is-it-fake-or-is-it real-or-is-it-just-sex idea? And they are both confused. Part of his issues can only be improved by actually facing them instead of totally avoiding them. But Mac is one stubborn and resistant man with strong opinions. But I loved that Meg was also strong and could appreciate her own self-worth. I liked how she challenged him but was not going to be a doormat either.
It was a funny, sexy, sweet, and sometimes crazy rom-com with a grumpy, reluctant hero and vibrant heroine. I liked the side characters of her friend, Cassidy and his romance reading friend, Lance and would like to see more with them. His family was wacky and all kinds of dysfunctional, but it added depth to the story. This can be read as a total stand alone but there are connections to people in the previous book Boy Toy since Meg is Sadie’s sister and Cassidy is Liam’s sister.

I always know when I pick up a Sarina Bowen book I’m in for some fun and, well, fun sexy times. A standalone book set in the world of the Man Hands series by Bowen and Tanya Eby also promises lots of laugh out loud laughter. The blurb even warns readers that there “may cause unrestrained giggling in public”. Man Cuffed didn’t disappoint.
From mistaken identity to flash mobs, Man Cuffed is an absolute delight. Meg and Mac are full of sparking chemistry from the moment they meet and readers know right away they’re perfect for each other. Meg’s an aspiring actress that hasn’t hit the big time yet. At 30, she’s not sure if it’s her ability or her skin tone, but she’s definitely reevaluating her life. Mac is vying for a promotion within the police department and skillfully dodging his family after a betrayal ten years earlier. The only family member he’ll talk to is little sister, Rosie. He knows he can’t avoid her wedding and refuses to show up alone. Enter Meg and the #fakegirlfriend hijinks ensue.
When they inadvertently end up neighbors after their hilarious meet cute six months earlier, we’re treated to a second, even more hilarious meet cute. From there, these two dance a dance to ignore their obvious chemistry and, because Mac’s a big scaredy cat, they choose friendship even though their fake relationship looks real to everyone.
Meg’s the girl you want as a bestie. She’s irreverent and willing to scale walls to help a neighbor out. She’s a tad bit crazy and draws people to her like a fly, unless their datable men. Having had enough of cheating scoundrels, she’s moved home and determined to get her career going. She also wants Mac. I loved watching her tease and taunt the Hemingway-loving cop until he breaks.
Mac was betrayed by his brother a decade ago which was made worse when his parents seemed to side with Morris instead of him. Determined to stick to “f*ck friends” only, he’s not prepared for Meg. Once she hears him in the act through their shared, very thin walls he’s already a goner and he doesn’t even know it. I loved Mac. He’s a gamma male through and through who turns alpha in the bedroom and Meg is exactly what he needs in his life and heart.
With some outrageous secondary characters Man Cuffed kept me laughing. Mac’s partner Lance is a lover of romance novels and his advice (based on his favorites) were ridiculously funny, as were his sex toy recommendations. Aubrey and Cassie, Meg’s friends are also women I’d love to be friends with, especially wedding planner Aubrey. Then there’s Mac’s mom who’s a dedicated crocheter and his dedicated dad who wears anything she makes for him (lopsided sleeves and shoulder pads for the win!). Throw in a crazy sister-in-law and a vicious bridezilla and you’ve got a keeper in Man Cuffed!
I received this book from the authors in exchange for honest feedback.
Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are back! I’ve been waiting for this book for over a year now, and I couldn’t be happier than I am right now. They both have a knack for comedy and are really talented storytellers, and it shows not only in Man Cuffed, but also in the other three books they’ve written together.
Man Cuffed is the latest addition to the Man Hands series—the fourth book to be precise—but it is a complete standalone and can be read, and thoroughly enjoyed, without having to read any of the others first. Having said that, I would certainly recommend everyone to read Man Hands, Man Card, and Boy Toy because they’re all hilarious and truly wonderful.
Man Cuffed is the perfect combination of laugh-out-loud outrageous fun, sweetness, and steam. It’s my definition of a great romantic comedy. It’s hilarious! Not only are some of the situations extremely funny, you’ll find yourself enjoying the writing as well. It’s witty and filled with double entendres and exceptional one-liners. Also, both main characters are well developed and show growth throughout the story, and the supporting cast will charm you and leave you wanting for more stories to follow. I really hope they keep them coming.
Man Cuffed is the story of Mac Maguire and Meg Matthews. They both have had bad experiences with love in the past, but while Mac is determined to stay unattached and keep things casual, Meg is willing to put herself out there to find someone to share her life with. They end up being neighbors, and although they apparently want different things, they have amazing chemistry and are strongly attracted to each other. Once they get to know each other more, and start hanging out, lines blur and feelings get in the way, making things a lot more complicated.
This is a story of opposites attract mixed with friends to lovers, and a fake relationship thrown in. It’s laugh-out-loud funny at times, a little over the top, steamy and sweet. It also has a certain not-so-hidden depth to it— there are some underlying issues that are not usually addressed in romantic comedies that make it more complex that one originally expects.
I loved Man Cuffed from start to finish, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to laugh a lot, and enjoys well written stories with a compelling plot and lovable characters. Man Cuffed is seriously outstanding.
When a book has you giggling in the first chapter, you know you are in for a fantastic read. Man Cuffed not only was just that, it was an unputdownable, hilarious story that everyone needs to read. Man Cuffed should come with a warning, read this in public at your own peril.
Seriously, this book had me laughing out loud, blushing and wishing for a hot copper of my own. I fell hard and fast for Mac and Meg and their shenanigans that will have you giggling so hard you you may get odd looks as you stifle the guffaw that is busting to break free. I know I did 😉
I’m not going to say anything else because you really do need to read this spoiler free, it will just build the anticipation more. Just read this book and be prepared for an unexpected story that will leave you grinning long after you’ve turned the last page.
Thank you Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby for another unforgettable read.
A HOT policeman walks into a bar…
…SHE TRIED TO TAKE HIS PANTS OFF!!!
I can honestly say, that even if I was expecting a stripper to walk into a room, there is NO WAY I would try to take his pants off. That was by far one of the funniest first meetings I’ve read in a wee while. Man Cuffed was exactly the book I needed today. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby have again cracked me up, made me sigh and left me thoroughly satisfied. Yes, there were a few curveballs that had me sniffling, snarling and sneering, but mostly, I was reading with a smile on my face.
I have to get something off my chest though…
What the heck is going on with our heroes lately????
This is not the first book that I’ve read recently where the heroine is doing all the hard yards when it comes to the courtship phase. Sure, the hero still brings his *A* game to the bedroom but why the heck are these guys so afraid of LOVE??? What makes it even worse is that these heroes are mature aged men over 35. Suddenly, every bloke seems scared of love, commitment and happy ever afters. They’ve been hurt by love and only looking for hook-ups because they’re too scared to put their heart on the line. The poor heroine ends up falling for a bloke that she must rehabilitate first. I know love is hard, but come off the grass, we need another hero like Liam (the hero from Boy Toy) to step up to the plate.
To be honest, when I started reading Man Cuffed I wasn’t sure how it would all play out. At first, I thought Meg was going to be a flighty actress reluctant to face reality. I was pleasantly surprised by Meg and found her to be realistic, sharp and witty. Then, we meet Mac…well, after that first meeting, we mostly HEAR Mac. Meg and Mac are neighbours and they have VERY thin walls. This made me a little uncomfortable for Meg, but soon I realised that Meg was not at all fazed by what she was hearing. It was almost like he was auditioning…and she was IMPRESSED.
So, after my first hesitation, everything was going swimmingly. Besides the little bugbear that I mentioned above, I really enjoyed reading Man Cuffed. Meg and Mac are great characters that I came to love. The additional characters we meet are very funny and I really hope that Cassidy and Lance get a story….OOOOH, maybe they could get a story TOGETHER?!?!? Oh my lordy, that would be funny – Ms Big Brain meets the Cosmo Reading Copper who studies what women want.
The chemistry between Meg and Mac jumps off the pages and I never doubted that they would be perfect together. Sparks were flying after their first touch and when they kiss for the first time, it was electric. It took a while but once Mac admits to his feelings, it doesn’t take long before he’s ready to cuff his Meg to him for life.
I read Man Cuffed in one sitting and I really enjoyed Mac and Meg’s journey to happiness. There were plenty of laughs, lots of sigh-worthy moments and sexy times that left me squirming. Yes, there were a couple of times that I was frustrated, but in the end, I was very satisfied that Meg and Mac had what it takes to make their relationship work forever.
If you’re looking for an entertaining read full of laughs, I highly recommend giving the Man Hands series a try.
Stacey is Sassy, received an advanced copy of this story. The copy provided is not the final copy and may be subject to edits and changes.
Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby have done it again! Man Cuffed is book #4 in the Man Hands series (each can be read as a standalone), and it’s an incredible addition to a wonderful series. This book is effortlessly funny, totally swoony, is about a Hero who wears a uniform, and includes fake dating. Who doesn’t love fake dating?!
Right off the bat, Meg and Maguire, aka Mac, had the most hilarious and deliciously awkward meet cute that had me laughing and dying a little.
I took that as a sign of good things to come, and I was right.
A few months after said awkward meet cute, Meg moves into the apartment next to Mac. An apartment with some awfully thin walls. 😉 And even though there there is this instant attraction between the two of them, an unlikely friendship slowly begins to form.
Meg is sassy, a bit dramatic, and a little unsure of herself and her choices. Her dream is to make it as an actress, but so far has had little luck. She’s also had very little luck in the love department. Mac is a hot cop, you know, the type of man that makes you debate getting arrested for. He’s closed off and guarded, for good reasons, and admittedly doesn’t do relationships.
So when Mac needs a fake girlfriend, Meg seems like the obvious choice. She’s an actress, after all. Only it doesn’t take long for either of them to realize there is a whole lot of real feelings behind those very real kisses.
The amount of chemistry between Mac and Meg-two fictional characters- is just ridiculous. Seriously.
I love that Sarina and Tanya always bring the funny, without ever seem like they are trying to hard. I laughed out loud quite a few times.
Man Cuffed is low-angst, but packs a lot of emotions. So if you are looking for a book that is equally funny, sweet and sexy, with some witty banter and situations that make you laugh, give this book a read! I don’t think anyone will be sorry they did.
From the moment I picked my kindle up to read Man Cuffed, I did not want to put it down. I was instantly sucked in from the start. It was laugh out loud funny at times…I mean come on… how can it not be absolutely hilarious when you think a real police officer is a stripper and try to undress him?
I really enjoyed Meg and Mac as characters from the start. Their chemistry was just off the charts hot. I really enjoyed their back and forth banter and reading about them getting to know each other and challenge each other and watch the slow burn of their relationship as it went from friendship to so much more.
While the story had some very funny moments, there were also more serious underlying themes related to family betrayal and the fallout from that. The scenes related to Mac’s parents had me completely cracking up. I think the authors did a really nice job balancing the emotions of the book. I laughed and I was sad and I felt for Mac and I just really felt a huge array of emotions with the book. Mac’s relationship or lack thereof with this brother was very sad, and watching them work towards their HEA was equally as awesome as watching Meg and Mac work towards theirs.
Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are a dynamic duo who definitely have a way with words as evidenced by this laugh out loud, yet real and emotional story of two people finding peace and that person that challenges them and makes them whole. I loved everything about this story!!!
