Meg is 30 and back in her hometown. She left home to become a famous actor. But after over a decade of being rejected for jobs, she’s almost given up. Maybe something better will come along.
Something better definitely comes along in the form of über-hot cop Maguire! Insta attraction!
After she almost got arrested for almost accidentally undressing him in public – LOL – she doesn’t see him again until she moves in next door to him six months later.
Mac doesn’t do relationships, but she’s making it really hard on him. Especially when he needs her to be his pretend girlfriend to his sister’s wedding!
Let the fun times begin!
WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO MEG & MAC??
WILL THERE BE A HEA??

ADORABLE!
Such a cute and hilarious romance!
Meg and Mac are so perfect for each other!
He’s a cop who doesn’t date and she constantly stumbles into his life in some way – flirting and making it reallly hard for him to resist. Totally adorable!
We also have some family problems – I even cried a bit here and there!
I loved reading this!!!
I so need Netflix to come and turn this whole series into a show!
Romantic Comedy at its best!
Another thing I really like – the setting of these books. We’re in Grand Rapids, Michigan. No book has ever stepped foot into Michigan. I really love it when we’re in a real place. Not some imaginary town in Anywhere, USA.
MAN CUFFED was such a funny and adorable romance!
Run to your nearest amazon for your own Hot Cop! This one is MINE!!!!
This book sucked me in and I couldn’t stop reading, it hooked me that good. The way Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby wrote this was just perfect for my taste, it has hilarious moments and angst in the perfect balance. Meg and Mac are a couple I truly rooted for, the slow burn from friendship was perfectly done. Hot cop and feisty neighbour made the story plot one you should read.
If you’re looking for something funny to read, look no further than Mancuffed by Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby.
This duo is really good at writing the lighthearted, fun stories. As a stand alone in their series of Co-written books, I think that Mancuffed may perhaps be my favorite of the four.
This time around we have Meg and MAC.
And I think that the first chapter of this book solidified that I would love it. The way in which these two characters are introduced to one another is classically funny. I’d be totally embarrassed if this was my reality.
A total laugh; worthy of your time.
Man Cuffed was a great read.
I think this is Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby best collaboration, their words were funny, witty and lovely and refreshing.
Meg and Mac have opposite personalities, feisty and exuberant the first, stoic and a stand-up guy the latter. She is a waitress who dreams to be finally noticed as an actress and he is a cop. Meg hopes to find her soulmate while Mac loves his one night stands partners.Even if they seem to come from different worlds I can assure you their chemistry is off the charts and their banters will put a smile on your face throughout the entire book.
I’ve enjoyed Meg character so much, she is hilarious and you’ll find out how much trouble she is from their first encounter.
I throughly recommend to pick this book and have such a good time with these fun characters.
Wow! What a great sexy cop/rom com storyline. Love the perfect amount of laugh out loud moments as well as the feels. Mac and Meg’s banter is hilarious and their chemistry is hot!! Definitely worth the read and can’t wait for the audiobook!
4.5 stars
Meg is a struggling actress, waiting tables while she waits for her big break. After a particularly stressful shift, she finds herself mistaking an actual cop for a stripper cop. At least she’ll never have to see him again after that immensely embarrassing gaff.
Mac will never live down the time he was mistaken for a stripper. But now the sexy wench is living next door, breaking in to his apartment. At least he can get even and appease his family in one fell swoop.
But as they continue the charade, there may be more going on than just pretend.
Once again, Sarina and Tanya have written a laugh out loud romance. Meg’s quirky sense of right is hilarious next to Mac’s laser focus and anti-commitment stance. They may start out as a no-strings, but as they play pretend it is so convincing even they aren’t sure what is real anymore. There is a lot of back and forth as they settle into their neighborly ways, and then again as they bring their arrangement into the mix, but they have a way of making that angst incredibly entertaining.
Mac is very anti-commitment. But his reasons for keeping women at arms length (emotionally) are the kind of things that can’t be ignored, even in situations where pretend is in play. Because his reasons are very real and ignoring them hasn’t made the underlying issues go away. I was surprised by a few of the twists that come up surrounding Mac’s past, and though it explained his reticence to let women in, I loved how it played out in his present with Meg.
This book stands alone, even though Meg is connected to previous characters. I actually felt like I would have been just as entertained not knowing Meg from previous books as she is such a huge personality on her own. I loved returning to this world and the larger than life situations these characters create and find.
ARC received in exchange for an honest review.
Man Cuffed stars a hot cop, Maguire and struggling actress, Meg. The opening scene and the setup for this book are hilarious. So if you aren’t sure about RomCom I encourage you to head over and read the preview!
Now I’ve read the previous books in this by this duo and I knew I’d be in for a comedic treat. They are just the right amount of humor for me. And lately, I’ve needed some levity, I’ve struggled to read books because I’m sucked into a never-ending news cycle, and easily distracted by headlines, and CSPAN. *Cries* So I really needed something to pull me out that mess. Anyhow, it took awhile for me to connect with these characters but once I did, I loved it. I can’t fault the book for that, simply because everything else was just so dominating at the time.
A bit of noisy neighbor and nosey neighbor! But once the two of them connected for their fake date it all began to click for me. The broken family dynamics for Mac watching someone struggle to find their success for Meg. I totally love their nicknames for each other throughout the book because they seemed to fit them to a T, Copper aka HotCop and Trouble.
As you would expect Meg being an actress is prone to moments of dramatic dialog, and they are just great opportunity for laugh out moments. Mac seemed to really balance her out, I mean we even got a Ride Along treat!
If say over Thanksgiving vacation you’re dreading a certain family member and need something to lighten your mood this is the perfect read to put life in a happy perspective for you. Grab it! And have some Apple pie for me.
Funny, witty and scheme you, this book has all the drama you can cram into a book. Add in a male side kick that reads romance novels to get insight into a woman’s psyche and cosmo quizzes to boot. This romcom is just the kind of book that brings a smile to your soul while giving you the hope that love will over come it all. Mac and Meg the perfect quirky drama filled couple that your gonna love to meet.
Get ready for the steamy and funny way they get their meet cute!
Now this is what I imagine a romantic comedy to be like. I’ve been struggle to find the definition of one since some books I’ve read have been said to be a rom-com, but they end up not feeling like one to me.
I can’t believe I haven’t read from this series yet, but you can bet that I’ll be going back to the beginning and just binge-ing all of it. Man Cuffed was such a delight to read!
From when they first met and everything that happened after, I loved every minute of their time together. Not only were these two just simply adorable, they had me laughing, constantly especially Meg.
I loved her character so dang much! She’s sweet, a bit sassy, and there’s so much more to her than what we see. There were a few times where I thought she was going to react a certain way, but she always flipped the script and did something else. And that’s why she was so perfect for Mac. She will always keep him guessing and I loved that it caught him off guard sometimes.
Mac is the copper that has his heart locked down tight. But the more he’s around Meg, she’s slowly opening his heart again. And that has Mac at all sorts of problems. I loved him too, he was like the guy that wanted to live a little, but constantly held himself back.
The chemistry was just off the charts with these two and I loved their little adventure towards love.
Such a great read by this author duo!
**I RECEIVED A COMPLIMENTARY READER’S COPY FROM THE AUTHOR FOR AN HONEST REVIEW. THIS DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR CONTENT OF MY REVIEW**
Tanya Eby Sarina Bowen
It’s book 4 in a hilarious RomCom series, but can completely be read as a standalone!! Do not miss the latest from Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby!
With Man Cuffed Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby have once again nailed the perfect blend of laugh-out-loud humor and heartfelt emotion.
Add to that a heroine I want to be best friends with (I freaking LOVED Meg so much!) and the exact sort of growly alpha hero I can never get enough of? 100% Romcom perfection.
I was utterly charmed by Meg’s quirky pluck, and the flashy personality that hid a sort of unexpected quiet strength. I was smitten with her.
And Maguire? Lord, but I love a grumbly, grouchy hero. I love a reluctant romantic. I adore a hero who grunts and growls his feelings. Best of all? That soft underbelly that only his one true love can unmask. He was the perfect balance to Meg’s outrageous, flighty personality.
This series has been such an unlikely hit for me. During a time when I consider myself romcom fatigued, these books keep me laughing and smiling while setting my heart aflutter and my pulse to racing. Meg and Maguire were completely adorable, sensationally sexy, and a complete delight to read.
In the end, Man Cuffed was another deliciously addictive, super satisfying love story from this dynamic duo. Full of zany antics and sweet friends-to-lovers vibes, It was light on angst, heavy on humor and I loved every moment!
What do you say to a woman who mistakes an on duty cop for a stripper? Wanna be my new bestie!
Pretty sure Meg is the life of every party. Mac is a dreamboat with plenty of baggage. And yet these two are a match made in a really thin walled apartment building. (You have to be there!)
It’s not just listening to the dirty talking, Energizer Bunny next door. Meg is very appreciative of the ambiance of new residence. (Snicker) It certainly helps on those lonely nights. Sll kidding aside, only Meg can get into these situations. Seems like she has a special knack for…Trouble.
Man Cuffed is a fun and flirty path to either cosplay or jail time. You decide which would be more fun!

Man Cuffed is the fourth standalone in the Man Hands series by the hilarious duo, Sarina Bowen & Tanya Eby. I have read the whole series and it just keeps getting funnier and funnier. OMFG I laughed so hard and loud with this series and with this one even harder. Start to finish I was dying. If you read Boy Toy then you met Sadie’s drama queen sister, Meg. Well this is her story…
Meg needs a fresh start. She is at a crossroads. At 30, she was an aspiring and struggling actress during the day and a waitress at night. She just knew that she needed to decide if acting was in the cards for her and in the mean time she was getting her life together. New job, new apartment, and a new dating vow with her best friend. Things were looking up even with the all the fucking next door mocking her sex life. She was envious of their stamina and he sounded hot. Oh, if she only knew who he was.
Mac didn’t do relationships. Not after a shit storm of one. He was all about the hookups. And the one he wanted now just happened to be his hot new neighbor except he wouldn’t go there. No way. No how. He liked his apartment. It was in a nice neighborhood and it was quiet enough that he could sleep at off hours. He wasn’t about to fuck that up. But, there was just something about the girl next door that pulled him in. She as sassy. She didn’t take his shit. She made him laugh when nobody could even make him smile. He hated the way she always made him talk. He was not a talker unless it was between the sheets. That he could do all night long.
Meg and Mac’s relationship is complicated, hilarious, and dangerous. He knew she was trouble from the moment he saw her and even more so when she tried to rip off his pants. She knew he was a challenge. He was grumpy but damn sexy and she wanted him to give her the live show. When he asked her to be his pretend girlfriend for a family wedding…it was on. The perfect time to practice her improv and to show him what it would be like to be a real couple. Will she be the one to get through his walls? Or just over them because she is crazy like that.
I can not express how much I loved this book! I was laughing my ass off from the beginning and I didn’t want it to end. Meg is refreshing with her wit, sass, and bluntness. She says what she means and means what she says. And Mac…damn, he is one hot cop but he is more than just a cop. He can be deep in his own way. In and out of the bedroom. Lol. And I can’t not say anything about his partner Lance. He needs a book!!! I love him. He is so fucking funny.
Overall…It’s amazingly hilarious but it’s also full of emotions. This couple is one of my faves of the year!
Quotes:
“He’s got three legs!” She sounds overjoyed.
“Three legs?” What the… Then Cassidy realizes her mistake.
“OH MY GOD THAT’S NOT A LEG! It’s not a leg!! Abort mission! Pull me in! Pull me in!!”
“HEY!” I bark, shutting him up. “This is my real life, not one of your books.” Lance has not had a girlfriend in a while. He listens to erotic romance audiobooks instead. Sometimes, he plays me excerpts of his favorites.
“Maguire,” I say, lowering my voice just a smidge.
“Yeah?” he asks.
I take a step closer. Reach out my hand and then tug him by the collar so I can whisper in his ear. “I would love to go to your family’s wedding with you. Just don’t lock me up.” I see his jaw clench so I decide to finish the scene. “But you can cuff me later if you want.”
3.5 stars. Mancuffed is a light, entertaining, and funny romp. This is Meg and Mac’s story. Meg is an actress, working as a waitress in a pub, when she mistakes Mac in his cop uniform for a stripper. They have instant chemistry, but the moment passes them by. Fast forward several months and Meg moves to the apartment next door to his. They become reacquainted when she hears his very loud f-buddy and him going at it through the walls all the time. Still, she is interested in him and is glad when he is single again. The two start spending time together and eventually dating.
This is a fun, light, easy read. I have to admit, I was turned off by the initial premise. I do not really get into scenarios where the heroine has has to hear the hero have sexy times with others. But Mac and his f-buddy part ways somewhat quickly and there is a break before he and Meg get together. After that, it was obvious these two were a good match. I really liked both Meg and Mac. I felt their opposite personalities definitely attracted each other. Mac is a gruff, sometimes grumpy and closed off, strong silent type. He isn’t interested in a relationship and is more focused on getting his promotion at work. Still, he finds Meg intriguing and irresistible. Meg is a sweet, outgoing, full of life type girl. She is the one that flirts with Mac and makes her interest known. She does the chasing here and she is pretty forgiving when Mac messes up. There is a bit of ex-drama, involving Mac’s ex and his brother, but I wasn’t too bothered by it. Mostly the book is light on drama, heavier on the entertainment and doesn’t take itself too seriously.
Overall, Mac and Meg’s story is a fun rom-com. There is an interesting story, good writing and has some cute and funny moments. If you enjoyed the other books in this series, you will definitely enjoy this book. I have liked this series a lot and look forward to more to come from Ms. Bowen and Ms. Eby in the future.
Can I give it give 5 pink stars for the sweetness.
5 red stars fir hotness.
And 5 teal stars for sassiness!!vv
Please??
This book is sooooo good!!!
It’s funny, with an awesome heroine.
It’s, as always with Ms Bowen, there’s a back story that will break your heart in half.
Neighbors.
Friends.
Lovers??
Maybe!!
Safe, easy, sweet, sexy read!!!
Highly recommend.
Sarina Bowen
Tanya Eby
This was fantastic! Honestly, can you go wrong with Sarina Bowen? I think not. And after reading this book, I feel like the writing pair of Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby is a pretty good bet as well. I was a little hesitant to pick up this book since I haven’t read the other books in the series. I decided to go ahead and try it as a stand-alone and it worked perfectly. The only problem now is that I feel like I need to go back and read the earlier books in this series. That’s a pretty good problem to have.
This book was great from the start. Mac and Meg meet each other in a restaurant where she is working. She mistakes him for a stripper and tries to take his clothes off but that’s just an honest mistake. When they wind up becoming next-door neighbors a few months later, sparks are definitely flying. But Mac is determined to keep his hands off since he doesn’t do relationships. But he does need a date to his sister’s wedding and Meg is the gal there to help him out.
I loved Mac and Meg together. These two had so much chemistry together I almost felt like sparks were going to jump off the page. I also loved their banter. This book is pretty funny at times and I felt like a big part of that was because this pair felt so real. They were really adorable together in so many ways and I loved the way they just seemed to click.
As you would expect, there was a bit of drama to the story. But it was drama that felt authentic and possible to overcome. If anything, learning Mac’s past really made me like his character even more because he has had to deal with things that were pretty intense. It was a joy to watch these two work things out. I loved all of the secondary characters and how they played a part in everything.
I would highly recommend this book to fans of romantic comedies. This book was filled with wonderful characters, a swoon-worthy romance, and quite a few laughs. I cannot wait to read more of this amazing series.
I received a digital review copy of this book from the author/publicist.
I am an avid reader of Sarina’s but this was my first from Tanya Eby.. well technically, I just listened to Boy Toy while reading this, too.
Meg and Mac certainly had their own chemistry that was a good bit of back and forth, and I enjoyed many of the secondary characters. However, I found it a bit hard to really get into the romantic relationship, as they danced around each other, while the story slowly rolled down the river, but it all seemed a bit easy for my taste.
Fun, quick, bantery read.
3.5 stars
If Liam McAllister from Boy Toy is my favorite main male character in the Man Hands series, then Meg Matthews has just become my new favorite main female character! I adored the spunk that Meg had all throughout. Sure, her acting career may be floundering at best for most of the book, but she refused to feel like a failure, refocusing her energy on other stuff (which you’ll find out about once you read the book!). She was her own person and a work in progress, but she always focused on the positive, and that, more than anything else, is what I loved most about her. Now, Mac was a guy who had his issues when it came to relationships, and yes, he was justified in feeling the way he did considering his history (again, go read the book, people!). These two tried to resist their mutual attraction, and I feel that this also allowed them to forge a friendship with each other. Having said that, Meg and Mac–or as I’ve dubbed them, M&M–brought on the heat alongside the romance and humor and even a bit of angst. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby did NOT disappoint (and I need more!)! Man Cuffed snags five-plus stars.
Once again Sarina and Tanya wrote a hilarious book. Man Cuffed was a hoot from start to finish. Meg is a girl who does what she wants and speaks her mind. She hasn’t always had the best luck, but I’d say it gets better throughout the book. Mac can be a grumpy Gus at times who has a lot of trust and family issues. He’s really a great guy, and great boyfriend material, he just doesn’t show that side of him. Him and Meg are so comical together and I think they’re a great duo. It was a great book and I hope there’s still more to come! *I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*
I’m just going to say it — I loved Man Cuffed. It was light and wonderful and a great escape read for me after a rough day at work.
I adored Meg. She’s upbeat and focused on what is right for her. She’s got a great sense of humor and is willing to deal with some uncomfortable circumstances between acting jobs. I just loved her take on life. When she meets Mac during the a bridezilla bachelorette party, well… you need to read it for yourself. It’s a great meet-cute.
Mac never forgot meeting Meg, and it’s a surprise to everyone when Mac and Meg end up neighbors, which is great because they get to see each other, and not-so-great because Mac knows dating a neighbor isn’t a smart thing to do since he’s not a long-term relationship sort of guy. He wants her, she wants him, but there’s a whole bunch of feelings from past hurts that Mac needs to resolve first.
There’s an incredible spark between these two characters, and in the very best way of romantic comedies, Mac and Meg eventually get together. They do have a few things to work out and that does happen (although it involves a boat and a jumper) and brings some healing to Mac’s bruised and battered heart, which paves the way for something really good for him and Meg.
Man Cuffed is a feel good read with plenty of humor, a dash of drama, and two people who are perfect for each other. This is on my list of books I read when I need a pick-me-up and it left me with a smile on my face wanting more of these two characters. While there are mentions of past characters in the series, this works very well as a standalone.
Overall, a very entertaining and satisfying romance!
