Nothing ventured, nothing banged.AshI still don’t know how it happened. One minute I was arguing with my arrogant competitor—our usual trash-talk over who deserves the larger commission. But somehow I went from throwing down to kneeling down… It can never happen again. I don’t even like Braht. He’s too slick. He’s a manipulating mansplaining party boy in preppy clothes. So why can’t I get him … party boy in preppy clothes.
So why can’t I get him out of my head?
Braht
There are two things I know without question. One: Ash and I are destined for each other. Two: never trust a man with a unibrow.
Ash is my missing piece. She’s the sweet cream to my gourmet espresso. And nothing gets me going faster than her contempt for me. They don’t call her the Ashkicker for nothing.
Eventually I’ll win her over…if my past doesn’t ruin everything first.

You may remember Braht from book 1, he’s Tom’s best friend. The same title is given to Ash with Brynn, but Sadie is the third Bestie here too. Braht had been following Ash around like a starry eyed puppy for some time, but I feel he had so much more to him in this book. He tried his best to rise above his parents faults and raise his brother. That right there gave him many man card points. But also the way he treats Ash and helps her with her own family, just makes you swoon for him. Ash doesn’t make it easy for him, she doesn’t get the nickname Ash-kicker for nothing! Although, she had good reason to be standoffish with her past relationship. All in all, I think this couple were destined to be together, they make a solid team. I would even say I enjoyed this story more than the first. It wasn’t as wacky, but still had some good laughs.
Ash and Braht have a little bit of a different relationship for a enemies to lovers but it keeps you on your toes.
Braht isn’t my type of book boyfriend as he is a little too… metrosexual for me but again, perfect for Ash.
In the beginning, I felt the story started a little too jumpy yet it smoothed itself out later and started to pull me in.
After the rough start in the beginning, it turned out to be a good storyline overall.
Ok first of all, this is the kind of book where the narration of the audiobook takes the story to the next level. Luke Daniels and Erin Mallon were fantastic- the comedic timing, the different voices, the sheer amusement that comes through their voices…I’m just so happy I have 2 more books in this series to laugh through.
The story was great itself. Braht/Sebastian is this preppy real estate agent who has always liked Ash. This is an enemies to lovers story and I was amused at how they got together. Their contentious attitude, their competitiveness, was a fun way to elevate their attraction. There were a few backstories, including Braht’s family history and Ash’s ex husband. But overall, this is a light hearted amusing story that is truly elevated through this excellent narration.
I Frk’n Flove This Series!!!
The perfect combination of Drama and sass!
I was cackling!… CACKLING!… OMG.
So hilarious and endearing at the same time.
I love this couple.
KIELBASA!!!!!!!……
Narration was spectacular
Sabrina Bowen and Tanya Eby are becoming one of my favorite duos. I think they are one of best romantic comedy authors I ever read. I loved first book of the series ‘Man Hands’. It was hilarious and I was expecting something similar for the second book but wow this book was nothing like I expected. You don’t need ‘Caution’ sign for laughing out loud for this book but believe me you will be reading this book with a smile on your face from the beginning to end. ‘Man Card’ can be read as a standalone but I totally recommend you to read the ‘Man Hands’ first.
If you read ‘Man Hands’ you are already familiar with out hero Braht and heroine Ash. They are both real estate agents who are each other’s main competitor. Their banter, competitiveness and hate/lust relationship is funny as hell. Ash is smart, sassy, competitive, and bossy. She believes she has no luck with man. Thanks to her ex-husband who is in jail for embezzlement at her old company, she doesn’t trust her judgment when it comes to man. As for Braht, in the first book he seemed like a preppy, conceited, entitled trust fund guy who annoyed the hell out of me. But the guy you will get to know in this book will make you swoon. He is everything you didn’t expect. Underneath the arrogant, metrosexual exterior, you will find a sweet, understanding, protective and hardworking guy that will make you swoon. Braht is head over heals in love with Ash. His devotion for her and trying his best to make life easier for Ash will show you how selfless Braht can be when it comes to someone he loves. Their banter and little plans to sabotage each other are hilarious to read. It was funny to see Ash thinking she is always a step ahead of Braht but then face his counter attacks. I am not going to give you more details about the story because I don’t trust myself not to ruin the story for you guys. But if you are looking for a book that will put a smile to your face, which is heartwarming, sweet, light, and funny, ‘Man Card’ is just for you.
P.S. I really want to read Sadie’s story too and I am hoping for the third book of the series
Would I recommend this book: Yes
Would I re-read this book: Yes
Would I read future books by these authors: Yes
Laugh out loud and couldn’t put it down! Can’t wait to read more from this author.
Hilarious! Loved it!
Would be a good story except for foul language and being trashy.
This book is a laugh out loud romantic comedy. The one upmanship these two characters take part in was a riot. The last joke was on them both though when they started falling for each other.
After SO many alpha males, it was nice to have a strong metrosexual lead who was not wimpy and ended up the a HEA
An entertaining afternoon read. It will make you laugh often.
I didn’t finish it.
I really enjoyed reading this. It was funny and light-hearted, especially at the beginning, and romantic at the end.
