Nothing ventured, nothing banged.AshI still don’t know how it happened. One minute I was arguing with my arrogant competitor—our usual trash-talk over who deserves the larger commission. But somehow I went from throwing down to kneeling down… It can never happen again. I don’t even like Braht. He’s too slick. He’s a manipulating mansplaining party boy in preppy clothes. So why can’t I get him … party boy in preppy clothes.
So why can’t I get him out of my head?
Braht
There are two things I know without question. One: Ash and I are destined for each other. Two: never trust a man with a unibrow.
Ash is my missing piece. She’s the sweet cream to my gourmet espresso. And nothing gets me going faster than her contempt for me. They don’t call her the Ashkicker for nothing.
Eventually I’ll win her over…if my past doesn’t ruin everything first.

I loveeeeeee when Sarina and Tanya write together. This series has been so much fun! I loved every minute of seeing the struggle between Braht and Ash. They were absolutely hysterical together, I loved the way that she kept trying to hold out, and he had complete confidence. They are so much alike and I think that made it even funnier! There were also some HOT moments between these two! I am even more curious now about Sadie’s book and can’t wait to read it!

“I’ll be your honey bear.”
Sweet mother of pearl I love this book. It’s funny and silly and a little ridiculous and I couldn’t get enough of it. With a terrific enemies-to-lovers storyline, fanfreakingtastic characters, and excellent narrators, I was completely lost in the story. I laughed, I swooned, I fell, hard.
Ash and Braht had such delicious chemistry and the sexual tension was downright delectable. I loved their banter and their back and forth, they played off each other so amazingly well! Their relationship was so fun and flirty, it really made me giddy.
Braht may not be the typical “alpha” male most females fawn over in romance novels, but I am sooo okay with that! Braht was his own kind of prefection and I just adored him. I’d let him call me anything he wanted to, as long as he called me.
The way he cared about Ash and wanted to protect her was so incredibly swoony. She wasn’t an easy nut to crack though, determined to stand on her own and not fall for him. But come on, this is Braht we’re talking about. I don’t know how anyone could not fall for him! She put up a good fight though, until, well, until she didn’t. I have to hand it to her though, she held out longer than I could have.
This book gets all the honey bear stars!
***I have not read or listened to the first book in this series, Man Hands, but that had no affect on my enjoyment of this one. I didn’t feel lost, or like I was missing anything, at any point during this story. I do plan on going back and to Man Hands at some point because I would like to get Brynn and Tom’s story, as well seeing Ahs and Braht’s first interactions!
Man Card was incredibly entertaining and witty and I had a blast reading it! It was just so exciting and humorous and I was grinning the entire time. I loved Braht and Ash and all their verbal sparring and animosity, you could feel their chemistry.
After listening to Man Hands and reading Man Cuffed (I know I totally read them out of order), I knew that I had to finish the rest of the series.
We are first introduced to Ash and Braht in Man Hands and I couldn’t wait to read about this feisty couple. Ash and Braht are both real estate agents and they’re often either fighting with one another or can’t get their hands off of one another. I absolutely loved the chemistry between the two (you get a glimpse of it in Man Hands) and Bowen & Eby definitely know how to write the steamy scenes (fans self).
I was laughing throughout so much of this book. The inner-monologue of both Ash and Braht was often so funny it had me laughing out loud. And yet at the same time, both Ash and Braht have some major issues that they’re trying to work though and I loved it when they both let their guard down to let each other in.
Man Card was a great addition to the series and I can’t wait to follow it up with Boy Toy!
The unlikely romance between Ash & Braht is hilarious, sometimes sweet, often ridiculous and always entertaining. The writing style is quirky, quick witted and thoroughly enjoyable.
Hilarious!!! Braht and Ash are a perfect power couple. We are introduced to them in Man Hands. This is book two in the series. I actually read the books out of order and wasn’t to lost. However, I would recommend reading in order. That way you won’t miss anything or the introduction of anyone. Ash tried really hard to not like Braht, but he seemed to be pretty persistent to change that. Ash didn’t stand a chance. Don’t let the loafers and manicures fool you. Braht is definitely all man. Lol! He even makes it more clear that he can brawl with the best of them. I just loved this book and this couple. They cracked me up! Definitely a must read!!!!
So funny!
What another fantastic book from Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby. From the first book i was looking forward to Braht and Ash’s book.
I loved how different Braht was he was so funny and not your average male he loved his facials and manicures as much as the next girl and he was never ashamed and i loved that. There was so much to Braht underneath the bravado and it was so fun to read and peel back his layers
Ash was feisty and hard to pin down but Braht never gave up, ash had some skeletons in her closet that would come back to haunt but between Braht and her friends they helped her along the way.
This was such a fun, well written book that had me laughing and reflecting. The one thing i loved about this book just proved that you don’t need a lot of friends if you have a couple that can get you through everything than that’s all you need i love Brynn and Sadie and can’t wait for sadies book. Not only do i love their friendship i love how the boys are there for the girls as well.
Absolutely loved this book and looking forward to the next couple. Loving this series so much of you haven’t picked them up yet it’s a must.
This enemies to lovers story picks up where book one left off. After the hot, but embarrassing pantry disaster, Ash is trying to avoid Braht. It is difficult now that he is working alongside her, making her office supplies do x-rated things! As they compete for the most sales, they get into one hilarious predicament after another. When Ash has some mysterious issues, Braht wants to prove to her that she can always count on him to protect her. Braht is so sweet and hilarious in this story, I really fell for his manscaping ways! I love Braht and Ash, they are so cute together, and their chemistry is explosive. It was also fun catching up with all their quirky friends and family too, making this story even more entertaining, and heartwarming.
Luke Daniels and Erin Mallon were so perfect as Braht and Ash. I loved the way they really put themselves out there, being just as outrageous. Daniels nailed Braht so flawlessly, especially his hilarious side comments and his different accents. Erin Mallon was exquisite as always, I love how she effortlessly changes characters making each one quirky and distinct.
This fast paced story is filled with hilarious and embarrassing predicaments, a bit of suspense, and is also heartwarming, sweet, and super hot & sexy. I absolutely love this series and can’t wait to listen to Sadie’s story next!
How does one describe the total WTF that this book is!?! I was laughing, rolling on the floor, and nodding the whole time. Let’s not even comment on the fact that these two are perfect for each other with their wandering minds and ridiculous commentary. (I’m not even going to mention that I believe one or both are somehow related to me and we were separated at birth.)
I’ve always been a fan of Sarina and this book only solidifies my craving for more. It is my first Tanya El by book but I have a feeling she’s going to fit right in with my other favorites.
I was really looking forward to getting to know Braht after reading “Man Hands”. What I appreciate about the writing of this book is that Ash and Braht still have their “secondary character/shouldn’t get to be the leads” qualities, but deeper layers of complexity are added to make them well-rounded characters who are well-deserving of their own book.
Braht is unapologetically a man who enjoys nice clothes, manicures, fancy upholstery and cooking. He actually defines his masculinity by how comfortable he is doing things others wouldn’t consider manly. And he proves his case well.
With Ash, we get to appreciate how and why she became a “man-hating harpy” as a protective mechanism, and happily it doesn’t take her too long to appreciate that Braht isn’t a bad guy, and maybe some men are worth giving a chance.
This series does start each book with a pretty bitter group of ladies who all seem to find some pretty hard core jerks to commit to for their first serious relationship. Brynn and Ash both start their books pretty defeated, and pretty confident in the unconditional awfullness of men, but they are willing to let their prejudice go pretty quickly when they meet a nice one.
I hope Sadie is able to find some happiness in her life. I worry about her and her daughters.
We were introduced to Braht in book 1, Man Hands, and I was underwhelmed. I thought he was a pretentious jerk, and when the end of that book left us with a pantry tryst between Braht and Ash, it was clear what book 2 would be about. I wasn’t sure about this book at first, because I LOVED Man Hands and didn’t think Man Card would live up. BOY was I wrong. This book was better.
If Man Hands was an introduction to the characters in the series, like an appetizer, Man Card was the main course. There was a little bit of fake relationship in there, as well as a bit of intrigue and suspense, and a “no way!” moment or two. But mostly it was about Ash and Braht, who I grew to love so much. I wanted them to get their HEA so badly. There was no ridiculous misunderstanding like some books have, but real drama and danger, and of course, a satisfying epilogue. I could read five more books about Ash and Braht. I’m sure they’ll show up in the next book, which I imagine will be even better. Can’t wait to see Sadie get her HEA too.
There was a lot to love about Man Card, but I think what I loved the most was that it wasn’t at all what I expected. Coming right off of the first book in this series of standalones, Man Hands, I expected the same raunchy, laugh out loud romantic comedy. While Man Card has plenty of stomach-clenching comedy, it is saturated with swoon-worthy, heartwarming goodness. I’m not even sure how to put it into the right words. This book just made me feel so good!
“Step one: she’s here. Step ten-thousand: she stays.”
Here’s what I loved about Braht. He was about as far from alpha as he could have been when we met him in Man Hands. Big into manicures, name brand clothing, and facials, Braht seemed to have relinquished his “man card.” That is until the woman he’s been after for years meets some trouble. Braht would do anything to keep Ash safe and make her his.
At first, Ash comes across as a man-hating, cold, unfeeling woman. This was my unfavorable opinion of her at first. But wow, was I ever wrong. Ash has overcome more in her life than most people ever would, and her self-image is tarnished. If only she could see herself through Braht’s eyes.
The push and pull between Braht and Ash made for some serious sexual tension. Even a glance from one of them was hot. Every interaction between them had the potential to end up with them tangled in the sheets. And the bedroom was where alpha Braht came out to play.
Man Card was heavy on the swoon and low on the drama. No surprise that the writing was simply exceptional and the characters likable and well fleshed out. Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby are a readers dream. Their storytelling is flawless. It’s the kind of book you want to lose yourself in over and over again.
4.5 Stars
Man Card is the second title in the Man Hands series, by the writing duo of Sarina Bowen and Tanya Eby. Enemies, turned lovers Ash and Braht appeared in the first title in the series, Man Hands and I was incredibly eager to read their story.
Unlike the hero in Man Hands who is a complete alpha, Braht is the complete opposite. He loves manicures, pedicures, facials, romantic comedies, man scaping and is incredibly fashion conscious. Despite his metrosexual ways, he is very much a ladies man, this preppy, fun, quirky character is incredibly loving, sweet, hard working and loyal, and he definitely knows how to talk dirty.
Ash is independent, head strong, sassy, witty and sharp. She’s incredibly self reliant, and is in no way a touchy, feely female.
This pair are incredibly competitive, smart asses, who work for the same real estate company. Their banter is fun, flirtatious and antagonistic. The sexual tension and chemistry between this pair is off the charts and the bickering and innuendo’s are a form of verbal foreplay.
The twists and turns in this title added an element of drama, and intrigue that was missing from the first titles, and whilst not quite as humorous as the first book I still found myself laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
If you are looking for a well written, engaging, entertaining enemies to lovers romance, full of wit, humour, heat and heart look no further than Man Card. I cannot wait to see what this incredible duo crafts next.
One of my absolute favorite books of 2017 was Man Hands so I was beyond excited for Man Card.
While Man Card was hilarious, I felt like it had more emotion than Man Hands. There were definitely points that I was laughing so hard that I couldn’t read the screen but there were also parts that I was tearing up and devastated. Ash and Braht have been through a lot and the people they show on the outside don’t even come close to showing how deep their characters run. I love a good enemies to lovers story and this book hit all of the things that I love about this trope. Arguments, fiery passion, one-upmanship, and competition. Ash and Braht were absolutely perfect for each other, even if it felt like it took them forever to figure it out. I lost hours of sleep on this book and every single second of that was worth it.
I LOVE this series so much and I can’t wait to see what’s up next!!
I am a HUGE fan of Sarina Bowen and was excited to read her second collaboration with Tanya Eby after Man Hands. And honestly? I am super happy that I did! Man Card had a great story, was so damn funny and was full of swoony moments and likeable characters. I had a grin on my face from ear to ear!
One of the best parts of Man Hands was Braht and Ash’s fantastic banter and chemistry! And it was glorious to see that and then some in Man Card. Braht was straight out adorable and over the top but he was just so fun! He won me over while on his quest to win over Ash and not allowing anything to stop him. Likewise, I loved Ash’s loyalty to her family, determination to succeed and to be the best. But what happens when their pasts both come barreling back to haunt them to endanger their newfound love.
I loved that Braht wasn’t the usual type of man ook boyfriend I love He wasn’t super alpha and growly but he was perfect in his own way. He was loyal and protective and so adoring of his lady love. I seriously hope we get Sadie’s story soon (Man Toy anyone?) as that lady needs some good loving! All in all this was fantastic! Bravo! 4 stars! ~Ratula
I have no idea how to even start a review about a book that took all the things that usually drive me crazy in books and turned it into something I loved. Like, for instance, on paper – I shouldn’t really like Braht. He’s not the sort of guy I’m typically attracted to and so many things about him should have irritated me. Instead? They endeared him to me. It’s the strangest thing. The only thing I can chalk it up to is some sort of magic contained in the pages of this book that takes a thing that is by all appearances irritating, abrasive, and self-absorbed and turns it into something adorable, loveable, and completely irresistible.
Seriously, authors, bravo!
This isn’t the first book I’ve read by this author duo. I read, and enjoyed, the raucously fun Man Hands, but Man Card read a lot like the duo hitting their stride. It was slightly toned down from the first book, but still wildly funny, unexpectedly over-the-top, and so much fun. It was also tender and sweet. Basically, it was everything I didn’t expect from these characters and this story and it played out nearly perfectly. You guys. It’s freakin’ magic!
I have fallen in love for this adorable trio of quirky friends. Some of the highlights of this book were the Brynn/Ash/Sadie time, and I do hope there’s a Sadie book for us at some point because girl has a story to tell, for sure. I adore their friendship. Actually, I adored all of the secondary characters in this one – maybe most notably Bramly who was something of a scene stealer and an absolute treat.
I loved every magic moment of Man Card, honestly. It was a quick, easy, delightful little pick-me-up and I definitely hope for more to come!
*4 Stars*
This was the much awaited second novel in this series – the story of Ash and Braht. I really did not think I would like Braht as much as I did. In the first book, he just seemed really annoying. But I guess its true what they say, don’t judge a book by its cover.
Braht might be a bit of a girly man, but he owns it and he is very very sweet. And perfect for Ash.
Ash is the way she is because of certain events in her past (I won’t say what, you need to read the book to find out!), and I can totally understand why. She needs someone like Braht to show her she can open up again.
I enjoyed having the secondary characters back again, of course we have Brynn and Tom, but also Sadie, and Braht’s brother Bramly was hilarious as well.
Ash and Braht have a hilarious and sexy relationship. Their constant name calling and jokes to each other, and the way they work together, it all turns into something that works so well, I don’t even think they realise it at first. Well, Braht maybe, but Ash doesn’t lol.
There are some more serious issues in this as well, background stories that come to the forefront, but they’re written and dealt with well.
I once again enjoyed the writing by this duo, and I look forward to another book. Sadie next?
Book 2 in the Man Hands Series and just when you think you can’t laugh any harder this writing due bring out another brilliantly written hilarious read. If you want a book to give you some feel good factor, leave you smiling like a Cheshire Cat then this is the book for you. It’s funny, has characters you can’t help falling in love with and it’s quirky, just the perfect read on a cold winters night or maybe a day at the beach depending on where you live.
Ash hasn’t had much luck with men, her ex husband is in jail for embezzlement from the company she used to work for, so as you can imagine trusting another man is not something she will do easily, but that’s all about to change when she finds herself working alongside Braht, he seems to be the complete opposite of her, never taking anything seriously but you should never judge a book or man by their cover. Even though Ash knows a relationship with someone you work with is the last thing she needs she can’t keep her hands to herself ….
This book has a lot going for it, it’s funny , it has some great oneliners that will have you laughing out loud, it’s romantic, it’s hot and it will leave you smiling with a fuzzy feeling inside, what’s left to say apart from if you love rom-com this is a must read.
Ash and Braht have a moment at the end of MAN HANDS and man, was it a moment. Let’s just say I will never be able to look at butler’s pantries and flour the same again! They are rivals at work and the banter is strong. Ash hates Braht and Braht just knows they’re meant to be together. Cue some fornicating office supplies and a little bit of drama too.
Erin and Luke, well done, I have no idea how you didn’t end up pissing yourselves when reading this book. There had to be multiple takes, surely. Both narrators only enhanced the story with their comedic timing and side splitting characterisations. I didn’t want this story to end, the mark of great writing. I loved that Brynn and Tom made appearances in this book too and once again that girl gang was out in full force.
I loved this audiobook and highly recommend getting into this series.
A book chocked full of funnies, with smidge of the feels and a sliver of drama. A great book all round.
