What? A little blackmail never hurt anyone. How did a working-class girl who dreams of being a writer end up with a job at one of the exclusive banks on the west coast?Dumb luck, that’s how.I’m pretty sure that any minute now, the Powers That Be will realize I don’t belong here. Before that happens, I need to figure out how to fit in—how to look the part, dress the part, and act the part.… part, dress the part, and act the part.
Fortunately, there’s Marcus.
Hiring him to be my date for the office party was easy.
Blackmailing him into helping me revamp my image is actually kind of fun.
But not falling for him?
That might be impossible.

A captivating read. The storyline is riveting from start to finish. Marcus and Alex have an intense attraction to one another and the sexual tension is thick enough to cut with a knife. This story is incredible, just incredible. Man About Town by Thea Dawson is a must-read.

I look forward to reading more from this author.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an ARC from Booksprout.
I read each book in this series and Thea Dawson didn’t disappoint with Man about Town. She gave use such wonderful characters in Alex and Marcus. She wrote tasteful sex scenes and love that she called it monkey sex, lol. You can read this as a stand-alone, but you’ll hear about the characters from the previous books, so fall in love for the first time or catch up with what they’re up to now. This book will have you laughing out loud at times and tearing up at others. Overall, this is a terrific story and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
I received an advance reader copy from BookSprout and this is my voluntary and honest review.
This is the first book for me in this series, but not a first by this author. Even though I didn’t know any backstory or characters I love this book! I literally laughed out loud – like snort laughed, it was all fantastic. I mean, the author uses the term monkey sex more than once. The sex scene was good too, it was meaningful not in there just for the sake of having a sex scene in the story. There’s some great lines in it throughout I even got teared up. I really can’t say enough good about this book
I have read one other book in this series but I found that this book didn’t need me to have read them. The storyline was really interesting and enjoyable to read. I liked the characters immediately and this carried on through the book. I had a few laughs throughout aswell. I look forward to reading the others in this series.
This is the fourth book in this series and like all the others the characters are great and the story draws you in. Alex and Marcus are opposites but they can’t fight the chemistry that draws them together. The story is sweet, funny, hot and emotional.
