Some girls don’t like pretty things.Some girls like things that are destructive, and toxic. Things that fuel our bodies with adrenaline and bring our demons to their knees. They say magic isn’t real, but it’s it the closest way to describe love? It doesn’t exist physically. It merely exists around us, within us, possessing our souls and making us do stupid shit. Shit like falling in love with a … in love with a boy who knows how to rip my world apart and raise hell with a simple flick of his wrist. Their secrets are now mine. I’m not just in the middle of this game, I’m helping orchestrate it. Can the cries of my aching soul be enough to drown out the burning embers of my mistakes?
The mind strengthens the heart, roughing the edges to prepare it for war. This is a war I will not win.
This is a war of fate.

I am left without words, this book destroyed me, put me back together in pieces, just to be destroyed again and now I am in book hangover. Nate (Malum), a total playboy who has no emotion. Tillie a smart, savage, protector and part of the group. Their story is not you would ever expect, they have a very difficult life. This book is dark in the best way, Amo Jones definitely knows how to write them and make no mistake, this book will be on your mind forever. Bravo for this phenomenal book, a beautiful dark masterpiece!
Don’t throw your kindle… This book is intense! The twists and turns will leave you scratching your head. Every time you think you know where it’s going… NOPE. I had so many WTF moments and they start right from chapter 1. This book is an edge of your seat don’t talk to me I’m reading page turner, jam-packed with all the feels. I cussed, I cried, I laughed out loud… what I didn’t do was put it down. So don’t pick it up unless you have a free day for uninterrupted reading. Did I mention I love these characters even with all their crazy?
Amo Jones
Exceptional! Consuming!
I’m in a fog. This book gutted me. Absolutely gutted me. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen …..BAM!!! And I’m left with a huge book hangover.
I love Nate and Tillie. They are messed up, the desire is high and they are toxic. You want them, you want to be them. I can not get enough of them.
Amo always gives us great reads but this…this is outstanding. The words, the story…it’s everything. This is one of the best series out there period and of you haven’t already you really need to check it out. It will blow your mind.

I thought that after all this time, I’m ready to proceed, but I was wrong. You aren’t ready for this story. I thought that Amo’s style is already not unknown to me. She surprised me. She creates a completely unique thing with each story. A very rare treasure. And the MALUM Part 2 is a mind-fucking story.

After i had read the first four books in these series and really enjoyed them even if they’re dark. I was really exited for the second book of Malum.
The Cliffhanger from the first part was bad. I wanted to know how it went further between Nate and Tillie.
Also i wanted to know how the story developed. Because there had been a lot of ways in the beginning of this.
Amos style was so catching it kept me reading even i started reading this book i wasn’t able to hold my eyes open put i couldn’t put it away.
There had been a lot of intsence positive or negative feelings and they totally got through me i laughed and cried with all the characters. My heart raced fast while i read all the words.
We got a better view on how things in the kings work. the struckture of this group.
I loved seeing the all those betrayals in these group.
Never while reading i had the feeling that i can see how the story goes. So i was eager to read this book as much as possible.
Tillie is a young women who is able fight for herself. She is really loyal and never rats her friends out. It’s hard for her to trust people sometimes. Also she can’t forgive herself things she did wrong in her eyes.
Nate is young who does many things to protect persons who are important to him. He makes plans ant want’s the best for him. The young man has a lot of humor.
All in all this book totally caught me. We read a well constructed story. All those plot twist facinated me and made me addictive. The world in which this story pulled us was just inresting. So it gets all the points from me.
OMG….This book was epic. It continued right where book one ended and then blazed its own trail. The twists and turns, the suspense, the secrets, the emotions, the chemistry, the storyline, will all have you at the edge of your seat frantically turning the pages. I was hooked and could not put it down as Amo Jones takes us on this journey with the Tillie and Kings. It was unpredictable, gripping and downright engrossing. So many questions were answered yet so many new ones arose.
This series just keeps getting better and better. Malum 2 was a well-crafted, layered masterpiece worthy of so much more than 5 stars. I can’t get it out of my mind. I loved it and would highly recommend it.
Raw. Gritty. Dirty. Just plain insane. Those are a few words that come to mind with this book. Amo Jones knows how to dig deep into the darkness and pull out something so brilliant that you cannot put it down. You delve right back into the insanity of the Elite Kings and everyone around them. The twists and turns leave you mind blown with your jaw on the floor once again. Between the story of Nate and Tillie, you have everything else going on as well. The one thing with Jones’ books, is that there is a lot of stuff going on and you need to pay close attention to what is happening. This book is just like that. All the past players involved plus the focus on Tillie and Nate gives you an explosion of words. The passion, the pain, the rawness of their relationship absolutely guts you. Tillie is as sassy as ever with just as much backbone to go toe to toe with Nate. Their story is still so tragic and heartbreaking though.
The one thing I can say is I need more of the Kings. I am so hoping we do as I want to see how things continue to unfold for all of them. Not just Nate and Tillie but also Madison and Bishop. And what is up with Tate!! I adore this author and her words and this book did not disappoint once again!
You are NOT ready for what Amo has in store for you in this book! MALUM 2 was a game changer!
This book is PURE ANGST HEAVEN! My heart was literally racing through 95% of this book and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! I felt like an adrenaline junkie when I was done. I was left emotionally unstable whenever I had to stop reading to go back to my life #adultingsux. This book and the world within it, sucked me in from page 1. Amo Jones brought her m*ther f*cking a game! Most of the questions we were left with at the end of MALUM Part 1, were answered. I’d say all of them were answered, but that would be a lie. Amo likes to keep us on our toes and irrevocably hooked, so that we crave more of that uniqueness that she brings to the table. Each revelation and/or plot builder in MALUM part 2 had me increasing my pace of reading. I NEEDED to know what would happen and I couldn’t seem to read fast enough.
Nate and Tillie were EXPLOSIVE together. Their relationship is destructive and toxic, but yet they are perfect for each other. No one else can reach their souls they way they do for each other.
“B? I whisper and I see form the corner of my eye his footsteps falter. My focus remains on a rough patch on the wall, isolated. So f*cking isolated. “Tell me he will be okay. That this up and down bipolar thing isn’t going to be forever.”
Brantley turns around, and I finally bring mu eyes up to his. My throat swells with emotion, but I choke down any tears. They cannot see any of my weaknesses, and Nate is my biggest.
“You’ll come to learn, or are already learning, that there are two sides to Nate. This is just him. This is how he is. How he reacts to different circumstances is always erratic, we can never be sure which side we’re going to land on. There’s the jokester side, then there’s the Malum side. He battles with the two personalities a lot, I know this, but one thing you should always remember is that both of those sides have one thing in common.”
“And what’s that?”
He stares at me blankly. “You.”
I STRONGLY recommend you start this series from the very beginning: THE SILVER SWAN, THE BROKEN PUPPET, TACET A MORTUIS, MALUM Part 1 and then MALUM Part 2. The couple from the first 3 books (Madison & Bishop, aka “Madship”) are VERY MUCH a part of the reason this books angst is SO HIGH for me. So you will want to know their back story and what they’ve all endured up until this point. Also, Amo sets up Brantley’s books (which are planned to be next in the series, titles TBA). I can’t wait to know more about Brantley’s girl, Saint!
I feel like my brain has malfunctioned now that I’ve finished. My mind is left spinning! My emotions in complete disarray. I feel all the emotions right now. I NEED THE NEXT BOOKS! Also, I am left feeling compelled to reread these 2 books now that most of the “chips” have fallen into place, to piece it all back together correctly and make sure I didn’t miss anything.
I have to say, I have NEVER been more nervous to start a book before in my life! I absolutely feared for the worst, with one particular couple. And some of those fears came true and because of that I think I might die a little waiting for the next books in this series. (No announcements have been made as far as to WHEN to expect them) I’ll be honest, I’m upset with how things were left that one couple, but I’m trying to trusting that it’ll worth the wait. *hoping and praying*
5 stars
Not many fictional worlds suck me in quite like the decadently twisted world of the Elite Kings…it’s unreal how my own world disappears every single time I dig in to one of these books. The line between reality and fiction is so blurred, I’m right there, living, breathing, having these characters seep in my soul and stay with me long after I’m done reading.
“…when she’s angry, there’s something inside of me that recognizes her fire and wants to build an inferno with her. The only problem is that those closest to us get burned.”
The enigma that is Tillie and Nate’s relationship is so elusive to even themselves, at no point did or was I able to anticipate anything. The hot/cold, push/pull, toxic romance that was uniquely theirs, had me addicted throughout the two-book thrill ride. Tillie upped the ante on female leads, she bypassed even some of the Kings themselves in her ferocity, her strength, and her brutality. I love her like I love cake…seriously. Nate drove me nuts, but even I couldn’t stop myself from a little drool at the mere thought of him. Hands down one of my favorite series of all time…not kidding.
“I always said that I loved breaking you just so I could put you back together exactly how I wanted, maybe pocket a few pieces of you that you’d never get back.”
Anything I mention will probably spoil the umpteen million twists, turns, and jaw-drops that I was powerless against while inhaling this book and also dreading its end. Please know, you will lose your mind over them, I’m still processing two days later. (Author is an evil genius) Even more exciting was how I became a fan of a few characters that I hadn’t been previously and will scream from the rooftops that I need a certain King’s book after Tillie coined a hysterical nickname for him. (fans self for the zillionth time). It was heart crushing, heart stopping, heart pounding, brain numbing exhilaration at its finest and not many Authors can do it like this one can. *Slow claps* I thank the Author for providing a copy to review.
“Losing myself in all that is him. He consumes me more than anything in this world, the feeling is stronger than love.”
~~~Erika, Book Haven Book Blog
No one can take the beauty and pain that is love and write a novel like Amo can! So many people write the beauty and maybe a speed bump but Amo captures the true pain and ugliness that can come from the all consuming love between two people!
Nate and Tillie have been a time bomb of lust, pain, hope and love since they first laid eyes on each other! Their love was so consuming it took this world by storm and eviscerated everyone in its path including themselves! While piecing it all back together they built themselves stronger than ever and now it’s time to take their world back and fight for everyone and everything they love!
What I love most about an Amo novel is how she keeps you guessing! You NEVER know what is going to come next and when your heart will crack a little more! You can rest assure she will patch you up with some dodgy stitching but more or less a little more whole than before! You may think you know this world, you may think you know it’s secrets and it’s lies but the thing is; does anyone really know?
This book is absolutely amazing!!! Malum Part 1 ended on a pretty giant cliff-hanger with so many questions left to answer… And in book 2 we were given the answers to most of those questions, and then given even more twists and messed up situations to get our teeth into.
Everything about Nate and Tillie’s story is addictive and all-consuming. I simply could not put it down, sucked into the story, shocked at the surprises, shattered by the emotions.
The way the story twists turns, and takes the reader to places that didn’t even cross my mind. The characters in this story will certainly keep you on your toes. With explosive chemistry, and huge clashes of characters. And it’s not just Nate and Tillie we learn more about in this story…. I mean Madison and Bishop… Brantley?!?! PLOT TWITS GALORE!!
If you’ve read Pt 1, then Pt 2 is a given If you’ve not read Pt 1, I suggest you do it now. And if you’ve never read and of the Elite Kings Club Series….. GO…. START THEM RIGHT NOW!!!
****ARC Received for honest review****
Amo Jones does savage so freaking well. Part 1, left you yearning and made part 2 that more epic. The way Jones is able to weave the dualities of dark, light and gray of the world, and of its people, is just beautiful.
Jones makes her characters, not only flawed but seeming unredeemable. There is always something so fascinating and in enthralling about every character, their arc and the way the storyline and plot lines, meld well together. Not knowing when and where a piece will begin and end.
I really thought that I would find in this book, the answers I had in part 1. But as I flipped the last page of part 2, the questions are pounding and I am left wanting more again.-Review by Catty(Catherine)
This book takes off right where part one of Malum left us. The story immediately pulled me in and had me gripping the pages, searching for answers.
Tillie and Nate have an explosive kind of love that damages not just themselves, but others around them. I was really hoping Tillie would make more of a stand for herself. I understand why it ended the way it did; I just wish there had been a little more to their story though.
Part two felt a bit rushed at times, to me. There were several times when I needed to slow down and go back a few pages to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Whenever I thought I had a handle on the story, I was wrenched a different direction. I still have questions that weren’t answered. Perhaps there will be more to their story, maybe even through the eyes of another character, that might shed a little bit more light on the grey areas.
All in all, Malum was an intense read and I will definitely be recommending it.
Freakin hell. Talk about a head spin.
The Kings world is dark, dangerous and only the strong will survive.
I’m going to try and keep this spoiler free so here goes…..
Tillie and Nate are still so volatile towards each other but I just love his strong, wilful and broken Tillie was. Sure she is a princessa amongst Kings but when push comes to shove she stands her ground. I don’t know how she puts up with all of Nate’s freakin games and the hate, hate relationship but we get to see a strong side to her even though she is breaking on the inside.
Now as for Nate Riverside-Malum I learnt something about him in this book and it made me understand him so much clearer and just why he does does what he does. Sure I wanted to throat punch him or knee him in the balls, Tillie style, because he was still the same asshole from book 1. But boy do I love that asshole. Nate sure a hell pushed my buttons.
Then there is a new character thrown into the mix and I absolutely loved what they bought to the table. The one liners that came out of their mouth was hilarious. Of course it added another layer to the story so you will just have to read it to find out more.
Nate and Tillie’s filled me with a roller coaster of emotions and I didn’t want to get of the ride. The angst and adrenaline rush all consuming. Their struggles are real and resonated with me.
Don’t get me started on Bishop and Maddison. They need to get their shit together. Lol. Even though I love Bishop, Nate has won me over. Then there is Brantley, he is just…… swoon worthy. I hope I don’t have to wait to long to be thrown back into the Elite King’s world with Brantley’s story. Hell I hope we get a book each for all of the Kings. I love escaping into their world for a few hours or days.
I can honestly say that when Amo Jones is finished with this whole series I will do a re-epread back to back so I can live in their world once more.
The ultimate series, book & characters; Malum Part 2 by Amo Jones is the fifth installment of the Elite Kings Club series and the second book of Nate and Tillie’s unconventional romance. It must be read from the very first book of the series in order to fully understand it. It’s a book that must be savoured and experienced properly in order to really feel everything this book has to offer.
Let me preface this with an apology. If I sound stunningly inarticulate at times in this review, I can’t help it. My mind is completely fried. I started this book at 12 am on a Saturday night, only intending to read a few chapters, and then the next thing I know it’s 6 am and my mind was completely blown. My chest was heaving, my eyes puffy, my body completely flushed and my entire being was so overwhelmed, I had to slap myself a few times to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.
Jones continues to rock the stereotype and transcend all expectations with her books. And Malum Part 2 might just be one of her best books yet. Jones manages to keep surprising me with every book despite having been an avid supporter of her works. And with that growth, comes magic. I felt every emotion in the book; sadness, anger, frustration, love, joy, laughter and mostly, shock. I don’t know how Jones comes up with these plot twists. But keep doing it, boo cos you’re dominating the business. Such a queen in all things savage and dark and I am addicted.
In her novel, Jones creates an intricate plot to the point of intolerable suspense thus keeping the readers’ attention up to the last page of the book. As for the style of the book, it should be noted that it is quite relentless and dramatic. There is wide use of the epithets which make the novel sound rich and voluptuous to some extent, although sentences often seem to be short and abrupt. It began a little slow in the beginning, but that’s just because it takes a while to get into the proper mindset of the setting. Jones pays great attention to detail which helps the readers to imagine the picture vividly to the point that one cannot wait for the next turn in the lives of the main characters.
The best thing about this series is that while there is a focus on main characters, there is also a spotlight on the other characters. We get to see so much more to these characters, their struggles and their relationship issues, and the potential for future relationships, stories, and books. She created a sinister love story built on lust and revenge, while also building a foundation for her future novels and left all her readers wanting more. And that’s the best and worst thing about Jones’ writing; she provides us with the best stories while simultaneously leaving breadcrumbs so we can follow her like gullible Hansel and Gretels. I’m excited for this book to release, so the world can get a deeper insight into just how talented Jones is. An excellent book and series that I wholeheartedly recommend, and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.
Masterpiece part II – even though not all was conclusive to me, this book grabbed my attention and sucked me into its dark, sick, twisted and toxic world. Perfect pace, perfect amount of thrill, hot steamy scenes, strong as hell and admirable heroine, mind games that have your brain in knots… What else can I wish for?
“There’s something inside of me that recognizes her fire and wants to build an inferno with her.”
There’s nothing that can quite compare to the Elite King series by Amo Jones! It’s explosive, it’s brilliant, and shamelessly addicting. The undisputed queen of all things dark and twisty author delivers yet another mind blowing, jaw dropping, on the edge of your seat read in Malum Pt 2.
If you don’t have a major girl crush on Tillie, we literally can’t be friends. She’s fierce, she’s loyal, and she’s savage. Tillie may have earned a throne with her Stuprum blood, but she earned the loyalty and trust of the Kings through the blood she’s spilled. She stands tall and embraces the darkness of their world, raises her chin and welcomes the fight. I loved that we get more of each of the kings in Malum Pt 2. Tillie’s relationship with each was perfect. PS bring on Brantley!!!! I need more!
The broken and toxic relationship between Nate & Tillie was equal parts addicting and infuriating. The push and pull is beyond anything you’ve ever read and will have you devouring this book. Like their world, their love is brutal. It’s dark and hard to understand, and yet it’s everything. Prepare to be ruined in the best way by these characters.
“You can have my kingdom, but you cannot have my King.”
Get ready for a wild and emotional ride that only the Kings can bring! Enjoy xo
After finishing this book, I am emotionally spent. I have laughed, cried, screamed, shouted, plead for mercy and felt relieved. I love these characters. Nate and Tillie’s story completely ruined me in the best possible way. Amo’s storylines for the other characters and the overarching plot of the Kings has me desperate for more. I cannot wait for more of the Elite Kings.
Never in my life have I wanted to leave a review with spoilers than I have right now but I don’t want to ruin it for those who haven’t.
If there were ever an author who excels in delivering more than what you think you need, it’s Jones. As many of you know, she’s the reigning queen of dark romance. She twists your heart, stomps on it, makes you shout in despair only to do a wonky surgery and put you back together.
Malum 2 is no different. This book contains secrets, drama, twist and turns, happiness and heartbreak, and so much sexual tension. From the moment I read the book, I couldn’t put it down. I knew Amo was going to break my heart but damn, women, consider a different way to do so!! Jk! Break it as much as you want.
One of the many traits I love about Amo’s novels, particularly this one is that you never know what you’re going to get. With some authors, you vaguely get an idea but with Amo, it was one punch after the other. Jones takes you to the very edge with her writing. She sort of pulls you back but not without you getting some bumps along the way.
Amo rides the line between beauty and pain so well. She writes about the ugliness that can come from love and she did so with Nate and Tillie. Their story has had a lot of pain. They’ve gone through so much together. If you’ve read the prior books you’ll know that Nate and Tillie have their own connection, in way that’s different from Madison and Bishop… Nate knows what he wants and he goes after it. He knows Tillie needs help with her perception on things and he does it in such a Nate way that I love it. He has a savior complex. He saves and protects what’s his regardless of the unconventional methods. But, really, can you expect something different from him? A former king?
As much as Tillie wanted to push him away Nate has always and will always belong to her and the same goes for him. They’ve been forged in the fire together and are perfectly imperfect for each other. Tillie is brave, resilient and witty. She is a conqueror. Just when you think you have all the Kings and everyone figured out more secrets and lies explode. I mean, how can they not?
I honestly can’t wait for the next book in this series. I want more of Mads and Bishop, I want Brantley, I want them all. I know I have to give her time to write it etc but it would be really awesome If she could just have it out in the next month.
If you’re a fan of this series then start reading asap. If you’re a lover of dark romance jump on this series. You don’t want to miss out on your next obsession. If I could give this book more than five stars, I would. PS I LOVED the ending.
