“Love is savage, love is blind, love is something they may not find…”Once upon a time, there was a young girl who lived in a battered trailer, a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. One day, she fell down The Elite Kings’ rabbit hole. Sucked into a dark vortex of lies, hate, and deceit, and spat out by money, glitz, and power. There were things this little girl didn’t know, things she was about … know, things she was about to find out and secrets that have been kept from her. Those secrets were guarded by the boys that were about to smash her world open and tear it all apart…
He may be a Malum, but she is a Stuprum, born into this world but neglected by the choice of her mother. Her eyes may not glisten with stars, but they roar with fire, and when she finally reaches her peak, it’s that same fire that will burn.
Them.
All.
Down.
My name is Tillie Stuprum, and my story is not like the rest.
Everything she thought she knew is a fabricated version of the truth. I’m Nate Riverside-Malum, the one your girl whispers about to her friends and whose initials are scratched into your back. Her story is not like the rest of them, because her story is dead.

I’m still blankly staring at the very end of this book with totally empty mind…. that was my first reaction, when I’ve finished reading Malum(part 1), few days ago. It’s a masterpiece of dark romance, which hooked me, shocked me and confused me and I loved all those feelings above. Total emotional rollercoaster. This story will imprint in your mind, soul and heart.
Now I’m a mess of emotions and lost in my thoughts, trying to recover.
It was the most twisted reading I’ve experienced in the long time. My thoughts were racing so fast, because so many things happened in this book.
I hate how much I loved this story ’cause Amo Jones was playing with my emotions so well.
We met Nate and Tillie in the previous Elite Kings books. You can read Malum without knowing the previous stories but it’s strongly recommended to truly understand whole story.
Nate is unpredictable in ruthless way as much as he is breathtaking and he will mess with your head as much as he did with Tillie’s. Their relationship was nothing you could expect. I wasn’t expecting this story to flow this way.
Amo left me hanging on the very sharp edge and craving more of this story. Now I don’t know how I will survive until the second part release.
I’m not sure if you ready for this mind blowing book but I know for sure that this is MUST READ for 2019.
4.5 stars There is a thin line between love and hate and with Nate and Tillie, that line becomes blurred. Malum is a dark, twisted, and an emotionally gripping read that will keep you on your toes. I loved the hard core Tillie as she is a survivor, strong, and caring – she has been through so much in her life. She loves Nate deeply, but he is cold one minute and full of smoldering heat the next. I really liked Nate, but I had some trouble connecting with him in the beginning. I think it is because there were not as many chapters told from his POV. I love the intensity between the two of them and the complexity of their relationship. I also enjoyed seeing more of Madison and Bishop and I am deeply intrigued by Brantley. I hope that he gets his own book!
Malum is full of secrets, lies, and betrayal. The author throws in so many twists and turns that I never knew what was coming next. There were a few scenes that ripped my heart out and left me gasping and crying. As this is Part 1 of Nate and Tillie’s story, there is a doozy of a cliffhanger! Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long for Part 2. This is book 4 in the Elite King series and the previous 3 books must be read first in order for Malum to make any sense. I received this book for free and I voluntarily leave this review.
Why Amo? Why must you do these cruel things to me? WHY? I’m in a state right now. A bad state. A horrible, mind blowing, leave me the hell alone of everything, state. YOU ARE MEAN, and EVIL. But, I’m still reading your books. Because why? I can’t stop. I CANNOT QUIT YOU.
There are SO many loose ends tied up in this book, and I’m so grateful to have the back story on Tillie because it really helps you understand things that were going on in the first three books. Things that I desperately wanted to know about! You definitely need to read The Elite Kings club series books 1-3 before reading this book, this is definitely not a standalone. This is only my opinion, Amo has stated that it could be read as a standalone and I know that you technically COULD read it as a standalone, but in my opinion you must read the first three. I don’t think it would ruin your experience to skip, but I do think people would be confused. If anything reading the first 3 will just enhance your experience.
Nate is ruthless, unforgiving and an undeniable, true-to-his-word, asshole.
The level of mindless, erratic behavior in this series is endless. It’s cruel, it’s heartless, and it’s also the hottest shit you will ever read. EVER. Not only are the Kings evil, but they have a very thin layer of sweet, that only comes out in severe moments of vulnerability.
These moments are small, but PAY ATTENTION, because they will consume you.
These men aren’t simple, they’re dirty and vicious. But they love HARD and play harder, and dammit I want a king of my own. A good asshole with a loyal heart is hard to find these days.
I’m not gonna lie, this book was hard to get through at certain parts. I felt absolute rage and a steady stream of tears that just made me more upset and sad and heartbroken. This book has wrecked me in so many ways. I’ve never been so pissed off and turned on at the same time. The term throw my kindle is real, because I did, HARD. On my bed, but still. This world that Amo created is just so consuming, that no matter how mad, sad, ragey, or stabby I got—I STILL COULDN’T STOP reading!
That’s all I really look for in a novel, to be eaten up whole, to be hypnotized by complex words and fictional characters. To be brought into a world so messed up that you kind of wish it were real so you could infiltrate. Malum was probably the hardest book in the series to get through, but it was also the most intense and had the same brilliant writing. I’m not sure how Amo weaves these stories, but I hope she never stops because I’m addicted!
OMFG that book is definitely something totally different. But as always from Amo amazing. It will chew your heart up and spit it out but believe me that you will love every second of it.
I will try to avoid the storyline and spoilers the best way I could cause let’s face it with Amo Jones’s books it’s the best way to go into them knowing as little as possible.
This and next book will focus on Nate and Tillie story who we met in previous Elite kings books (so it’s not surprise here that the best idea is to read previous three before) and I couldn’t wait for their story. Their already complicated relationship will get complicated even more. Here, with them, we have really, really thin line between love and hate and these two are maters in blurring it that no one will know where that line is anymore. Nate shows totally different side of him than in previous books with the calculated cruelness in the way he does things now but it’s hard to truly hate him because he also lets his softer side out and that will make you want to swoon (and swoon many, many times). And let me tell you about Tillie. Her is totally different of what I expected her to be but in definitely good way and I am definitely rooting for her to get her happy ever after. Tillie won me so fast I barely even noticed. There may be some situation that you will want to shake her but overall you will root for her very strongly. There’s just something about her that you’ll just do that.
Without giving away any spoilers, “Malum” continues the shocking storyline from the previous Elite Kings books but this time it is months later and Tillie is back with secrets galore. But she underestimated Nate’s mission and determination to uncover her secrets threatening the Kings. But when his monster is unleashed, no one could anticipate the devastating consequences and what is coming for them all.
Nate’s and Tillie’s story is full of betrayal, lies, secrets and many twists and turns. It has really quick pace, whole story is really raw and emotional. The Elite Kings are as always intense and hot with chemistry between certain characters that will leave you with the need of icy cold shower.
So in the shortcut first part of “Malum” was everything I was hoping for and even more and it came from the messed up place called Amo’s mind. She is the Mistress of all thing s twisted and dark and she does perfectly her mind games that we all came to worship and adore. She will mess your minds and leave you with questioning everyone and everything but you will still love it and you will be counting days to second book impatiently as I am doing since finishing part one. As always wonderful, wonderful job.
“The devil furnishes his darkest souls with the prettiest smiles.”
I can’t remember the last time I’ve read a book that played my mind as much as Malum just did. I feel like it ate my soul and is still munching with pleasure. My mind keeps spinning and I have a vague idea it will only stop until I can finally start reading Malum Part 2. So let’s welcome my current heavy book hangover.
”I’m not one of your preppy princesses. You can’t break what you didn’t build.”
Amo Jones delivered a brilliant story that captivated my mind, soul and heart since page one. I simply turned the pages, oblivious to the fact that I was leaving time and real life behind. It was just the book, Nate and Tillie and me. The darkness evaporates and embraces you from each chapter, each page, each line, each word and taints your own soul.
”If Nate wants a challenge, I’ll give him war.”
It’s simply impossible to stay away from something you want more than your next breath so you keep turning the pages even though it’s ripping you and your heart apart. This story is crazy, stupid unpredictable, breathtaking. And don’t get me started with Nate. My love-hate relationship with him is from another star. This man is infuriating on every level: deranged, smart a**, hot-headed, possessive, a dark player but oh dear does he grow on you…. *sigh* Tillie on the other hand is such a strong young lady. She’s inspiring and it was easy to get in her head, becoming her while reading.
”Yet, this world is like a soap opera gone wrong, you know, if Quentin Tarantino directed said soap opera.”
I fell down the rabbit hole I wasn’t invited to. Or wait, maybe I was. Because the author’s invitation is publishing this book. And you’ll fall down the rabbit whole so willingly without even realizing it. The only regret I have is, that I haven’t read the first three books yet. Even though Malum Part 1 can be read as a standalone, I realized I wouldn’t recommend doing so. I got confused by some interconnections between the characters and sometimes felt like I missed some – more or less – important information.
”The word scary does not even touch the level of darkness that they exude. They’re villainous.”
This book made me feel almost too much at once, yet it got me addicted like no other. I am still speechless on how many emotions I’m still feeling after finishing it. And if you ask me, I have no idea how I’ve just written this review. I still feel like I’m going crazy…
”He’s something made from witchcraft. Everything alluring and evil, his magic and charisma like a stubborn magnetism that ultimately brings you to your death.”
Malum, the 4th book in the Elite Kings Club series, is pure evil and charming magic all in one. It’s captivating, alluring and brings you to your knees with its mind-games: Be prepared for the impossible.
”I feel reckless. I feel lost. But most of all, I feel nothing like me.”
P.S.: I still feel like this review doesn’t do justice to what this book made me feel
Well, where do I start? Lol. As is typical with an Amo Jones book, this left me confused, full of questions and to be frank a lil bit mind f***ed. Nate and Tillie’s story is not pretty, it isn’t quite on the wtf scale as Madison and Bishop but to be fair, not much will be lol, but this pair certainly have their own version of omg what the hell is going on? Even after the horrendous thing that happened to them, there was still more to come. That ending! Oh wow, that ending is what I think has my mind blown the most. What? Why? and What again? Because seriously, I’m so confused with the twist and Nate’s actions and what is going to happen next.
Plenty of drama, action, tears, bedroom action and wtf moments and I honestly can’t wait for the next one as I need to know what the hell is going on. Amo Jones has broken out the crazy again and I liked it, Malum gets 4.5 stars from me.
In true Amo style, she has delivered us with a book that not only will mess with your head, it will also break you. This book will bring up so many emotions while your reading, so a box of tissues will need to be handy and accessible.
I love how Amo gave us a book filled with Love, hate, blood, heartbreak and sorrow.
Ofcourse thats nor enough she throws in a killer cliffhanger and makes you get twitchy eyed thinking, OH NO she did Not. But oh YES she really did..
I can’t wait for you’ll to read it, and I can’t wait for part 2.. I need to know what happens next
WOOAH!! my heads in a bit of a tailspin at this moment starting with that finale.
This was a head Eff of epic proportions and I can honestly say I have no real clue bar the slightest sliver of what is actually occurring here.
Up is down, left is right and what’s real is so not what you ever think.
Everything is a game that somebody’s forgotten to sit down and explain the rules to and if you think the first three books were abounding with manipulations and agendas well this one is also just as evil and twisted as its predecessors.
Don’t understand? well take a number and get in line because I’m stabbing in the dark also here.
Nate himself seems to have done a complete 160 in regards to his obvious personality here or at least in what he outwardly projects to others.
Gone is the jokey charmer from the first three books and in his place is well someone I don’t actually recognise: on top of this certain thing that occur in this instalment quite obviously push him further down that path of no redemption totally changing Nate beyond all reckoning.
This book completely gutted me, chewing me up and spitting me out it was just so heart-wrenching and raw.
So this is actually the fourth book and whereas the first three, we follow Madison and Bishop “Malum” continues the story of Nate and Tillie who we were introduced to previously.
And as we have come to expect from this new-adult series the boundaries when it comes to the behaviour both sexual and otherwise of the individuals involved here seriously follow there own set of rules and regulations.
So this is again told from dual POV and you do really need to start at the beginning here with book one “The Silver Swan” otherwise you will most definitely be running around like a headless chicken trying to make head nor tail of things.
It’s dark and brutal with more twists and turns than a fairground coaster, it’s also safe to say once you embark on this crazy train you will be onboard for the duration so addictive is the ride ahead of you.
I am now gagging for Part two really can’t wait I need it right now considering that corker of an ending.
I voluntary reviewed a copy of Malum: Part 1 (Elite Kings Club #4).
All opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

Words..What are words? I am at a complete loss for words and I’m a bit of an emotional wreck after finishing Malum: Part 1…
There is dark and then there is Amo Jones; her books..her words are just in a league of their own. Jam packed with all the twists & turns, mystery, intrigue, secrets & then more secrets. Your mind will be spinning while you follow all of Amo’s evil breadcrumbs all the way to the last page.
Tillie and Nate’s story is the farthest thing from sweet and it certainly isn’t for the faint of heart. This was an emotional, raw and all consuming whirlwind of a read that I’m not sure how to recover from…I’m haunted by this story and all things Elite Kings Club and I cannot wait for Malum Part 2
***ARC provided in exchange for an honest review- Megan/Scandalous Book Blog***
I love this series, there is just something amazing about it that keeps me turning the pages, thinking about the characters and always wanting more. The books previous, have been very twisted, integrated and mysterious and this story is no different. I will caution that if you are a reader who likes the whole story at once, you might wait until part two is released because this ends with a heck of a cliffhanger.
This story is heartbreaking, beautiful, dark, twisted and haunting. The characters are so well developed and the plot is perfect for them. I devoured this book and now will be impatiently waiting for part two. I have questions!!
After getting this story, barricade yourself in your reading room, with food and supplies and get read for a ride! You will not want interruptions. I received an ARC and I am leaving an honest review.
This time we can read Tillie and Nate’s book in series of The Elite Kings, MALUM Volume 1. Mostly, we can read the story from their perspectives. I’m not going to gush about Amo’s style, because everyone knows she is the QUEEN for me. That is never gonna change. NEVER.
Nate, after Bishop, was my all-time favorite, but I think this sequence has been reversed. It’s so impenetrable, incomprehensible, elusive. Still, you want, you want to know and love it. In everyone’s life there are moments that you are unable to control. From there on, you’re less yourself. You fight, but you win or fail?

I’m all over all the place with this story, complete sadness.
I like Tillie and Nate together do I think they should be together, not sure.
Nate’s a King so he has this god complex about him which makes him a huge asshole most of the time. A lot more comes into play and more secrets are revealed.
I love this world of Elite Kings you’re never quite sure what you’re going to get.
This is the newest addition to the Elite King’s Club series and I literally cannot get enough of this! It is absolutely necessary to start with book one in this series or you’ll be completely lost since so much happens in each of these amazingly addictive stories.
I’m a huge fan of this author and she’s an automatic one click for me. Her work is dark and twisted, which is my preferred reading material. But this one is hands down the darkest I’ve read by her so far. A perfect example of this is the fact that this is the first of her books where she’s felt the need to include a trigger warning at the beginning of this book. I’m not going to give anything away here, but I will say that this one was very difficult for me to read and that what actually took place was totally not what I was expecting at all.
I loved every second of reading this amazing story and chose not to skip over the difficult to read parts, since I strongly feel that they are a necessary part of the story as a whole. I had tears streaming down my face for a majority of this book and I really hope that things get better for Tillie and Nate in part 2. This story tore my heart out of my chest and left it lying on the floor and I need part 2 right now so I can find out what happens!
I highly recommend reading this entire series to anyone.
I reviewed this for Reviews from the Heart.
~ Kristen
Her innocent daughter dragged into the mess that is her life. Stolen by her sister and used to control her.
On their doorstep as a puppet. The organ grinder hidden away as the scene plays out.
He knows she’s not telling the truth, but still he becomes the knight if only for a short while.
They dance both around and with each other. A line in the sand between them that blurs as days go by.
But don’t think for once second this is your average happy ever after love story…
Wow, this is like nothing I’ve ever read before.
I was thrown in the deep end having not read any of the surrounding books, but was assured this could be read as a stand alone.
The start I felt lost, disoriented and down right puzzled in parts as things were thrown at me left right and centre.
So much information to put together in a short amount of time as a deep and complicated story unfolded in front of me.
As The crease were ironed out I was able to right my balance and I began to enjoy the ride.
The characters are all so complex. Hidden meanings in their words, each with their own agenda whether it be out in the open or hiding in the shadows.
There is a severe lack of light and pure in this book unless you look towards their angel.
One thing that has to be said is not enough warnings can prepare you for the unforgettable. This is not for the faint of heart.
It broke me, in more ways than one but still Im not sorry I read this.
My heart might be in bits but my mind is alight with a thousand thoughts all inspired by everything I’ve read.
Nate and Tillie so damaged and dangerous, one a pawn the other a player.
Who’s move is it now?
Wtf did I just read, I was sucked in from the very first word but by the end had been chewed up and spit back out and left hanging for more. Craving another fix from the dark twisted mind of Amo Jones!
The Eliete Kings are back and this time it’s Nate and Tillie’s story and hang on cause it’s not a happily ever after kinda story. I admire Tillie I think she’s my new favorite heroine. I have a fascination with these guys and I can’t get enough of them. I need the next book like now and can’t wait to see what comes next!
Amo you have successfully blown my mind and made it impossible for me not to rip someone’s head off after reading this book and the way it ended! Bring on the next one!
Wow. Where do I begin? This book was everything I thought it would be and more. I’m staring at the wall because I don’t know how to review this book. It’s dark, cruel, twisted, page turning good. Can’t wait for #2.
“You find three types of love in you lifetime. The first will show you all that you did wrong. The second will show you how you should be loved, but the third will show you what it fells like to die while still being alive.”
When Amo Jones gives you a trigger warning, you know you should be really f***ing scared, and then you dive right in because she’s the undisputed queen of all things dark and twisty. Malum Part 1 is soul-wrecking, heart-clenching, and so addicting I’m pretty sure it has to be illegal. My mind is blown, my nerves are shot, my heart is in pieces on the floor, and I need more.
This book is a true testament to the caliber of author that Amo Jones is. It’s unlike anything you will ever read, I can promise you with 100% certainty. This book will break you, push you out of you comfort zone, and have you on your knees begging for more.
Nate and Tillie exist on a fine line of love and hate. They’re intense, explosive, and so freaking addicting. Nate is….he’s everything. I thought I knew Nate from the first three books, but he’s so much more. He’s the fun-loving one, the playboy, but where the darkness lurked, it’s now on display. He’s still the commanding, seductive King we all knew, but the mask is gone, and he just got so much better. I loved the possessiveness, the contradiction of tender to brutal, and the raw power he wields. Tillie is officially my book bestie and I couldn’t love her more. She’s beautifully fierce, so f***ing brave, unstoppable, and unbreakable. She takes this world with so much grace, no fear, and pure strength.
“If I swallowed a lit match, would I burst into flames?”
You can’t fathom the intricacies and complex layers of this book. There are so many pieces to the puzzle, and with every answer comes more questions. It’s dark, it’s dangerous, it’s sexy, it’s raw, and epically emotional. Pick your poison- chocolate, booze, deep-breathing techniques, tissues, you’ll need it all babe. Immerse yourself in Malum, coming March 12th.
I knew very well that as I write this Amo they called me feet. On the “Malum” I waited a long time and when I finally saw him on his reader, I felt as if centuries had passed since the announcement of this position. But wait … it was probably the most enjoyable part of it.
Amo … fuck the system.
Literally.
I’ll try to avoid spoilers, but O, ye who enter here must know the previous section, “The Elite Kings Club”. Otherwise you will get at the start spoiler, which has its beginning in the third volume of the entire series, or “Tacet and Mortuis”
Tillie gives birth to a daughter, whom he has with Nate. The girl can not comfort your child, because it is a small Mikael taken. Kings learn that Mikael was taken, or rather kidnapped from Tillie and want to recover the girl, but Brantley still have the impression that Tillie turns. At the end of the information, that the girl works with the kidnapper of his daughter, to lead them into a trap and przechytrzają all, and Mikael returned to their parents.
Between Nate, Tillie and all the time there is an argument for small and parental rights. Stuprum lives with his parents under the bed and Nate Deamon find a mysterious book of drawings. It starts into the Haymarket story I wanted to tell through images Daemon, and yet it is constantly followed by a strange man.
Meanwhile, the truth comes to light about the origin of Tillie and its obligation to respect Perdita.
The girl does not want to belong to this world, but he has no choice and must be reconciled with their intended purpose.
The only pity is that it is the vastness of blood stained.
It would seem that I wrote too much. And what you see in the paragraph above is the only …. the first few chapters of the book. Everything you’ve read here, probably podejrzewaliście after finishing third part of this series. Nothing new. Truth?
Amo Jones opted for heroes.
Not only the main, but also those secondary.
My love for Brantley was satisfied. Although not a surplus, I’m happy, because this gentleman is here very much. And some scenes in which it is involved are … HOT AS FUCK (no word in our language that would have determined the well).
Brantley more I liked it and I can not wait to Amo write his own story.
Madison is a little childish, which unfortunately has not changed since the days of the “Silver Swan”. But the amount of stupidity are small and therefore turn a blind eye to this.
For fans Bishop also have sad news. The king appears several times, and during these passages speaks even less.
I am personally very happy about it, that already left Amo Bishop and Madison, and focused mainly on the duo Nate Tillie, adding to Brantley.
While Nate is one big motherfucker, which from the beginning I did not like. Now I would prefer him buried alive under the earth, for what he did Tillie.
And she … you’ll love this heroine. It is the very opposite of Madison. Strong, brave and stubborn. Girl fighting for your best interests, and above all thinking. I like a heroine, because Tillie stole my heart away.
Of course, other characters, we know, as they appear, but not only. Also new is the amount of solid.
If you think that “The Silver Swan” is fucked up, it’s the “Malumie” catch his head. I was caught, and one time I was so sad that I had to talk with the author, because I did not give the council continue to read this book. Amo destroyed me completely. I am a walking wreck, who does not know how to begin another book and wait for the second part of the story of Nate and Tillie.
“Malum” is a book that leaves the book with a huge hangover. Especially that ends cliffhanger, which does not help the matter and condemns us to wait for the next volume. History Bishop and Madison, the history of Nate and Tillie is a funny entertainment. Here, the heroes adults take responsibility not only for themselves and changed their perception of the world in which they live. This is the position in which you see the difference in the pen of the author and although the whole series is equally walnięta is Amo, despite the passage of time has lost the spirit of the “Silver Swan”.
Better. She further depresses the spirit in the next book in the series. “Malum” is better than its predecessors, and if this goes towards Amo, is afraid what will happen on the occasion of my story (where one turn) a book of her husband, Brantley. I suspect that I will wreck more than currently. I would recommend to wait. I would recommend to read. I would recommend suffer. “Malum” is worth it
Holy Sh*t balls man, I’m still trying to gather my wits after finishing this masterpiece of a book!
Amo Jones is one heck of a writer that literally takes you into a dark, dark fairy tale that will leave you grasping for more.
I felt like the strings of a hook, just reeling me in deeper and deeper as I continued reading on and on. I can absolutely tell you that this book will hook you from beginning to end. I love when a book does that to me because I just know that the book will be, no doubt, a best read of the year for me and I have to say this book is up there on my list.
I also love reading series because we get to meet and learn about each individual that is mentioned throughout the books. So I’m super excited to continue on the journey of the ELITE KINGS!
Tillie and Nate — god these two together were like fire and ice. Always either at each other’s throats or all over each other. Their chemistry was hot and cold but together they were like a united force that was unbreakable.
You get your ups and downs but this book is full of everything you want and need in a dark, beautifully messed up world that is fully stocked with deceit, lies, betrayal that will literally shatter you to pieces for what these two go through.
Malum: Part 2 please hurry!!
I don’t even know where to begin. My mind is reeling from all the twist and WTF moments. Lana~ White Hot Reads
Nate and Tillie are so explosive together. Half the time you want to hurt Nate for being such a huge ahole while the other time your like where did you come from. We get a whole new side of Nate that’s never been seen before. Tillie is one bad ass, hold your own girl who gives as good as she takes. She’s strong, determined, smart and not afraid. Questions get answered but them more pop up leaving you like WTF did I just read. I can’t wait to see what the second part to this story holds for us. For these Kings sure do have a lot of secrets!!
