Sometimes sacrificing your heart isn’t enough. Lily escapes with Salem and Destino to shifter territory, where deception lurks around every corner. With the Queen of Jacoba unable to rule, too much responsibility falls to Lily, who realizes she will never be the princess the shifters want. However, she quickly learns that she might just be the ruler they need. Mating with Prince Salem wasn’t in … with Prince Salem wasn’t in the plan, but now that Lily’s fallen for him, her marriages to Prince Destino and Prince Alexavier are put to the test. Sharing seemed like a good idea in the beginning, but when passions run high and the stakes are higher, the Territorial Princes have to decide if they want Lily for themselves or peace for the nation.

A great adventure full of fae, shifters and vampires! With amazing world building there’s adventure and fantasy, there’s love and loyalty, a great storyline and fantastic characters!
I am never sorry when I read a book by this author, only saddened that I usually have to wait for the next one. The only drawback in this series is you just can’t pick up a book without having read the others (mostly). You could, but without the background, it might be a little disjointed. That being said, there are intricate relationships that evoke every emotion you can summon up; this book provides a good story, with wonderful characters that you’ll want to spend your time with and do it uninterruptedly. This paranormal shifter story is sure to please, even if this genre is generally outside your comfort zone. When I first started, I only started it because it came recommended and I received an advanced copy, and I’m so happy that I did. Give it a try you will not be disappointed. I am ready to immediately start the next book! I received a complimentary copy of this book from Booksprout and this is my honest review.
This is a fantastic and well written book. An intense story line that holds your attention as you get caught up in the fierce twists and hot chemistry. Lots of excitement. A thrilling must read.
The political build up between the Vampire, Shifter and Fae Kingdoms reached an all-time high in Malicious Prince. I absolutely loved it and this was the best part of the book, if I’m being honest. The unexpected ending of Wicked Prince had set this book up for a political climate that was not only founded on prejudice but bursting at the seams with anger from the swift, unpopular changes the main characters had instigated. I loved how Twomey incorporated more of the back story and world-building in to this third book. Most of the questions regarding the hatred between the Kingdoms were (finally) answered. Everything was culminating to a final political climatic event and I was right there along with it.
That said, the reverse-harem relationship in the third book needed a bit more OOMPH. Everything seemed to be super slow and still unsolved near the ending of the book. I had expected more growth, communication and understanding between the four of them and this just didn’t seem to be the case. Perhaps there is another book in the series I’m unaware about that targets some of the big-ticket communication issues they’re still experiencing but if there is, I don’t know of it yet. Taking it as a finale in the series, I was expecting a hell of a lot more in regards to their strategies for making everything work between them.
The insight in to the shifter world marked the final piece of the puzzle regarding the three Kingdoms. We were gifted with a privileged look inside the Shifter strong-hold and as I mentioned earlier, things started to finally make sense. That said, my previous adoration for Prince Salem and Prince Alexavier were pretty much dried up in this book. The lack of communication and strategies for building a strong, healthy relationship really got on my nerves. These are men who run whole nations. How was it impossible for them to negotiate with each other and communicate? It’s practically their job descriptions!
Despite these issues, this series is still one of my favourites. The first book was a really strong start to the series and the unique take Twomey has placed on the warring Kingdoms was fascinating to read about. I really enjoyed the world-building, side characters and majority of the reverse-harem (pretty much everything from the first two books). If you’re in the mood for a paranormal reverse-harem romance, I’d definitely recommend you try this!
First, this is book 3 in the series. If you haven’t read the first two yet, nothing much will make sense. Sure you can piece parts together, but you’ll think about that more than the actual story.
Now, things are getting a bit more intense. Des, Lexi and Salem are trying to being together the vampire, Fae and shifters, yet people are not so quick to jump on board with that. Yet, even with all that happens, and the lack of support Lily gets from her own people, she got her three mates as support to help each other get through this.
This is a fantastic series, I really can’t give it a justified review without spoiling it. Go and read it!
This is the third story in Territorial Mates Book 3. Fantastic world building with outstanding, well defined characters!
In this series, there are three territories, one with fae, one with shifters and one with vampires. They have well defined borders and deeply clash with each other. They sometimes do business back and forth, the fae sell their filtered blood to the vampires, but they do NOT get along. The reigning princes of each territory are all close friends. They sneek out every now and then and spend time together. They come up with a plan to bring all the territories together. If they could each marry the same woman, she would be the Queen of all the territories and they could bring about a blending. Salem, prince of shifters, fell in love with a barmaid in the Neutral Territory, Lilya. He would get over to see her about once a month, for the past five years, so he recommended her as the woman they marry. She may be fae by birth, but she is the only fae in Neutral Territory and has no prejudice about others. When the three princes go to meet her, it all falls in place. She already knew Salem, and when she meets the fae prince, Alexavier, she realizes that he is her old friend Lexi, before her father banished her. So two out of three are quickly on board. Destino, prince of vampires, has no problems with her either. They figure that it is best if she marries one of them right away, in Neutral Territory and bring her home to his territory to introduce her to that territory and family. After a period of time, she will then go to another territory and marry that prince and so forth. Everything ended up okay in the Vampire Territory, but there were major problems in the Fae Territory. Between her father trying to kill her, again, he also shot her husband Destino with a silver tip arrow, which should have killed him, but she was able to draw out the poison in his system. When Lexi found out what Lilya’s magic really is, he turns his back on both her and his fellow Princes. At the start of this story, Destino, Salem and Lilya are on their way to the Shifter Territory so they can complete the third marriage and get to work on uniting their territories.
Lilya hasn’t been able to speak since Lexi turned his back on her, or them. She hasn’t said a word in weeks. She does feel the caring she gets from Destino her husband and from Salem too. Salem is the one who is leading the way until they can get to shifter territory and get a carriage to transport everyone. Remember, Destino is a vampire and cannot tolerate the sun. Once they get to the shifter castle, she then learns that Salem is in love with another female. She cannot tolerate being the person who comes between two people in love, so she offers to back out when Justice, Salem’s older brother, offers to marry her. Justice and Salem’s mother has been in a coma for years, so Justice has been ruling the territory and when Lilya sends out notes to the Vampire Territory ruler, Roland, and to the Fae King, to sit down to talk about blending the territories to help each other out. King Roland shows up, of course, because he is behind the idea of dropping the borders and being peaceful, plus supporting his heir Destino and Lilya. The Queen of the fae shows up along with her son Lexi.
You have got to read the story to find out how things end up, how they over come the issues and such. Trust me, you will love it as much as I did.
PS. I am so glad there will be a story for King Roland when he retires. Destino will be soo glad when he gets his own woman and keeps his hands off Lilya!

I love the characters in this story! They are kind, loving, strong, fierce, dependable and sexy. I really enjoyed the twists and turns that brought turmoil to everyone’s lives because they find their way through.
This series is outstanding and with each book it just keeps getting better. The characters are superb and with each book you get to delve deeper into each one of them and you discover they are flawed, have incredible depth and are simply so likeable, even when they’re not. As you discover more of the animosity between the neighbouring kingdoms you realise just how pointless this bias is and how easily hatred and bigotry can spread. I loved this book as with all the others and I cannot wait for more.

Third book in an awesome series. The beginning of the book hurts the heart as betrayal and anger follow the group. Where there should be love is instead pain. They are traveling to the shifter lands and to complete the plan. As they stop one evil another emerges. Can the group truly complete what they started and unite all three lands?
The characters in this story will pull every emotion out of you. I will say that When Ronin visits he always makes me laugh. Lily is as always an amazing woman and she has really grown as she accepts her abilities.
This is the 3rd book I’ve read written by Mary Twomey; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I can’t wait to read more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

I would recommend that books one and two are read before this book for better clarity and understanding. Lily is a member of the Fae, whilst Des is the Crown Prince of the Vampires and Lexi is the Crown Prince of the Fae. Lily is married to Des and also to Lexi and in order to promote a future Peace Treaty between the three Kindoms, Lily will also marry the young son of the Queen Butcher. Crown Prince Des is a shifter as are all in his territory. Lily’s marriage will see three Princes united with one Princess. I found this book very confusing and it was not until the end that all the relationships between the characters became clear. There will not be an easy transition from the wars and armed conflict of the past but this willl be a good start. There was a lot of personal conflict and danger for the parties involed in this story but by the end there was a definite thawing of hostilities in the territories and a loving home for Lily and her men.

I enjoyed this story. I enjoy Mary’s writing style so much, however, a lot of what happened was expected. I was still happy to continue their story and see how things would play out but I have to say I was a little disappointed at the ease of some disagreements working out and the annoyance of how others continued.
Still it’s an unexpected twist on the norm and full of new ideas.
I really love this series. It is different and unique in its own ways. I love the storyline and the adventures and trials the characters endure. Each book has almost been better than the last and I enjoy each page.
