Malicious Envy (Sins of Proteus Book 1) by Kitt Rose is such a wonderful story I have had the privilege to read. This is book number one a start to a brand new series written by a brand new author for me to read. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading about paranormal romances.

The story is emotionally draining work of greatness I loved it
However it is a slow burn and tho it ends how I’d liked it too I’m not sure there’s enough of a hook to get me interested in a continuation of the series

Ash was a Protean Alpha shifter and knew that Liberty was his mate even when they were very young, but she was human. Libby was sent away And so was he for different reasons from their hometown by their alpha. But then years later she came back after years of heartache. Ash was ready to claim her as his mate. But the evil in this interesting and exciting story keeps trying to make them stay separated and destroy their happiness.

Great shifter story that was well written and the characters were so well detailed that I was totally hooked throughout the entire book!
I really liked this story. It mixed shifter world, magic with Greek mythology to give a different explanation for wolves. I liked the setup of this mythology world and how it played a subplot to the story. I loved how it was a story of overcoming tragedy and getting a second chance. I liked the bit of mystery of who the bad guy was and why. But mostly I loved the characters and thought they were both fun and interesting. I was glued to the end to see if Asher would get Libby to give him a second chance and what insanity would occur. I read it in one sitting and cannot wait to see what happens next.
The story line was good, the book had a smooth flow to it, and the character work was great. I was hooked from beginning to end. I look forward to the next book in this series.

This is an excellent shifter novel. The Gods are not a big factor in the story, but do contribute to it. I loved the characters. Justice has had to deal with many losses in her life including losing the love of her life, Ash. Ash has lost his mate and is determined to win her back and protect her. When Justice comes home, things come to a boil. Let me say that I read the entire book in one sitting as I just couldn’t put it down to go quilt as I normally do. This book has a lot going on and you want to know what is going to happen next and you just can not stop reading. The only thing that would make it better would be if there weren’t graphic sex scenes in it. I prefer innuendo or just short one paragraph sex scenes so you know the deed was done, so I paged over the graphic sex. Even with that in mind, I would still highly recommend it.
