I started to see beyond the perfect exterior he exuded.
I started to see him.

I’ll start by recommending reading Treacherous. There is a bit of explanation as to why Savannah can’t stand Oliver, but reading Treacherous will really paint the picture. It’s not pretty, and it’s the reason I went into this book wondering how in the world he’ll be able to redeem himself. The attraction between Oliver and Savannah is obvious and the path they took to realize it had just the right amount of angst. Oliver may come from money, but his life is far from perfect. There were some surprises for him that I didn’t see coming. Savannah is relatable to an extent. I believe all women experience self doubt and have body issues at some point in their lives. Savannah struggles more than most and Oliver knows exactly what to say when he feels trapped to inflict the most damage. There were some heavy moments leading up to their HEA, and lessons learned about self love and the power of words.
Oh this was so awesome! Oliver and Savannah are like oil and water at first because of issues both have when other that stem from the first book Treacherous. Things start to change after a holiday weekend together. This book is angsty emotionally charged. Secrets are revealed and friendships are tested. Definitely some hard hitting topics in this book but I loved every minute of it. These 2 authors together are dynamite! You’ll definitely want this!
Rating: 4.5 stars
Wow! Enemies to lovers!! I love this troupe! It is amazing to read the chemistry between Savannah and Oliver in the beginning when they ‘hate each others guts’. The tension between them could be cut with a knife. The way they both resort to insults to mask that attraction was funny while reading.
It was also interesting to see what were the underlying issues that they both had to deal with towards getting better. The things they go through will have you feeling for them and encouraging them to get better.
Malicious is well written, the characters are developed and it is a great read. I did not read book 1, – which I am going to do now – it is a standalone so it is not an absolute that you need to read book one, Treacherous- but I am curious to find out what Oliver did to his stepsister that was so mean.
Oliver and Savannah can’t stand each other. However they have to tolerate each other for best friends sake. When you start to read this book you will probably hate Oliver but hang in there, he does redeem himself. What is to love about this book.
– The banter between Oliver and Savannah
– The steaminess
– The angst between these two
– Proves people can change
– The realization of Oliver and Savannah about their individual problems
There was some delicate situations in this book. I felt they there should have been a little bit more attention paid to it.
Alex Grayson nailed it when it came to portraying college students and some of the inner struggles they deal with. V, a girl who has everything going for her yet struggles with body image. Oliver is the self entitled, rich kid, with parentless issues. He’s a guy dealing with issues but hurts those around him thinking itll make him feel better.
Their relationship started off unconventional but their feelings for each other brought out the best in both. It brought out the change they both wanted.
Malicious is a funny, happily ever after that has you rooting for main characters.
Enjoyed this much better than the first book.
Still took me a little bit to fully get into it but once I did I was turning pages like a mad woman.
Think these two writers have definitely found their groove of balancing each other out.
The authors have tackled a sensitive topic with grace and compassion.
Definitely a must read.
Oliver….the boy/man you loved to hate in Treacherous. I mean….I REALLY, REALLY hated him. I went into this story with that hate….and it took me a few chapters to pull myself out. Arrogant? Check. Egomaniac? Check. Just a horrible dude? Check….until he wasn’t. I mean sure, he’s truly not the nicest guy, BUT he may have some very valid reasons for that. It will take a very strong woman, AND some very strong friends to put aside some strong feelings and get to the nucleus of the problem. Savannah may or may not be that strong woman, but boy oh boy, she hates him more than I do lol. In the end, this man/child who has a temper when things aren’t quite going his way will end up with a few reality checks that will either make him or break him…they may break Savannah too! In the end, I completely devoured this story and enjoyed every last angsty moment.
Malicious is this read that you won’t be able to put down. The emotions run high the entire read. This is Oliver’s book and you will love the changes he goes through in this. Oliver has a lot of anger. He lashes out and hurts people he cares for. As you get to know him though you get why he pushes everyone away. You see such a caring and loving side of him in this one. There is such a fine line between love and hate and that is exactly what Savannah and Oliver walk. Savannah is so sweet but you start to get her insecurities and your heart just wants to reach out to her. The struggle she goes through just brings tears to your eyes. Oliver and Savannah once they drop their walls have this beautiful yet toxic love at first. You will both hate and love Oliver. Your heart will want to reach out to both. By the end of this book I applauded Alex Grayson and Melissa Toppen for the heart-aching angst filled beauty they brought. You get the feels and I love that. In order to get the full feels though I would read Treacherous first so you can get the full picture of who is Oliver and Savannah. I really couldn’t put this one down and devoured it in one sitting. GO ONE CLICK THIS ONE.
Wow! A great enemies to lovers story. This is a standalone, but still recommend reading ‘Treacherous’. I just think it made it easier to understand what had previously happened with these characters.
I was on the edge of my seat, from start to finish with this book. Savannah and Oliver loving to hate each other was explosive. Their chemistry was off the charts, sizzling HOT!
I didn’t know if they would give into their feelings or kill each other? There’s that much hate involved.
Both characters have their issues and troubles. Thinking they know each other, when they really don’t. Only spending time together do things become clearer, is all I’m saying. Don’t want to give spoilers.
This 5 star enemies to lover was a page turner that sucked me in.
Oliver can’t be in Savannah’s presence without picking on her. She can’t look at him without wanting gouging his eyes out. There’s a fine line between love and hate.
I loved this storyline that was addicting and captivating. It was heartbreaking at times. It made me so much for Savannah. Oliver becomes her hero and protector. He has his own demons to battle but she calms them. What I look for in my stories are the connections with the characters. I connected and felt so much for them. It was highly entertaining. Bottomline this is. A must read.
Standalone told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this story. Treacherous is the first story that has other characters but also Oliver and Savannah play an important role. So better enjoyment read Treacherous first.
This was a fantastic enemies to lovers story, I’ve wanted to read more from these characters since I read Treacherous. It’s NOT necessary to read that book before reading this one but it’s well worth doing so first.
Malicious is Oliver and Savannah’s story, these two had me captivated from the beginning of their journey.
OMG!! their story is such an emotionally charged angst filled sh!t storm. You’ll want to rip ya hair out in both anger and frustration but that’s why its so addictive.
I’m not gonna lie, you’re probably gonna hate Oliver to start with and Savannah isn’t really much better if I’m honest. They hold so much animosity towards each other it’s toxic.
But….you can’t help wanting to grab the popcorn and sit back to enjoy the fireworks whenever they’re near one another.
As the story unfolds we get to the nitty gritty of both Oliver and Savannah. They are both very complex individuals with very real issues. They both got under my skin so much that I ended up loving them both. My heart hurt at times especially over everything Savannah had to endure. Oliver definitely isn’t perfect he’s flawed but he’s a lot more than the arrogant a$$ he comes across as.
I loved Oliver and Savannah together they have a love/hate intense relationship that’s full of passionate off the charts chemistry. They didn’t have the easiest time but I think they’re perfect for each other.
Oliver and Savanah’s story is intense. Their individual life stories are real life scenarios and happy to see them get their HEA. I love how Savanah is feisty and how she overcomes her issues. Oh Oliver, my heart broke for him when he found out some secrets. Malicious is a well written book.
Hands down the best enemies to lovers book I’ve ever read!!! Oliver and Savannah have so much contention between them, watching them burn for each other while also fighting their inner deamons. Best! Book! Yet!
I’m in awe of the writing! This book was fantastic! From the sensitive topics to the dialogue exchanges, it had everything.
This book, although part of a duet with Treacherous, can be read as a complete standalone. That says it all. It has a great storyline and the character development was well written.
All. The. Feels.
