From New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the first in a new thriller series.
Everyone wondered about Shaye Archer’s past. Including Shaye.
Shaye Archer’s life effectively began the night police found her in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Nine years later, she’s a licensed private investigator, with a single goal—to get … single goal—to get answers for her clients when there aren’t supposed to be any.
And maybe someday, answers for herself.
Emma Frederick thought her nightmare was over when she killed her abusive husband, but someone is stalking her and tormenting her with mementos from her past. With no evidence to support her claims, the police dismiss her claims as post-traumatic stress, but Shaye is convinced that someone is deliberately terrorizing Emma…playing a cat and mouse game with only one goal in mind.
To kill Emma.

Great characters; very realistic and believable; interesting and intriguing plot line
Easy to Read and well put together. Look forward to another in the series.
Loved this book, want to read the rest in the series. Edge of your seat intense!
Hard to put down once started.
Well written and it keeps you turning pages. Not at all predictable.
I am loving this book series – each has it’s own story, but the main characters stay with you. Story was fast moving and exciting! The back story remains a constant mystery, BUT, I’m reading book 3 which reveals a lot so far, but I think it will leave us hanging a bit – because there is a book 4, which I’m looking forward to reading!
This is a very good novel. I recommend it to those who like a good mystery.
It was a good read! Kept me hooked.
Worth reading. Especially spot on when it comes to writing about victims of trauma
Parts were most definitely “can’t put down” !
I like the main character and I am interested to see where this author takes her.
Couldn’t put it down
Great characters, lots of twists and turns. Great read and a great ending bringing it all together. Only problem I had with the book was to much description and wordiness of trivial items. The book could be 100 pages shorter.
The main character has become a PI to help figure out her own past. On the first day, she sets up her business and is moving into her place when a woman appears and wants to hire her. She says she is being stalked by her dead husband!
The pages start turning, characters start developing and you don’t release your breath until the last page and the stalker is caught. There is a lot of evil in this world and the author has most certainly tapped into it to produce this astonishing yet believable tale.
Loved it
This book is full of chills and thrills. I have many of his books and have never been disappointed. Try for your own reading enjoyment.
Page turner with twists and turns. A suprise ending. Easy and fun read.
Loved this book. Both scary and hard to put down. Surprise ending. At least to me. I would recommend it to anyone liking mysteries.
