From New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the first in a new thriller series.
Everyone wondered about Shaye Archer’s past. Including Shaye.
Shaye Archer’s life effectively began the night police found her in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Nine years later, she’s a licensed private investigator, with a single goal—to get … single goal—to get answers for her clients when there aren’t supposed to be any.
And maybe someday, answers for herself.
Emma Frederick thought her nightmare was over when she killed her abusive husband, but someone is stalking her and tormenting her with mementos from her past. With no evidence to support her claims, the police dismiss her claims as post-traumatic stress, but Shaye is convinced that someone is deliberately terrorizing Emma…playing a cat and mouse game with only one goal in mind.
To kill Emma.

Zero stars. Returned it. Horrible
The book was good but the ending came quite rapidly like the author couldn’t wait to finish the book.

Thus was an amazing book, that I absolutely could not put down! I love that bus was set in New Orleans as I could picture many of the places mentioned in the book. Loved it!!!

Very suspenseful. Couldn’t put it down
I had to keep reading the sequel s to find out what happened
Great who-don- it. Hold your interest from the beginning
Imagine that you are now hanging out your shingle as a private detective, but ten years ago you appeared out of nowhere, beaten, bloody, bruised, with no identity. You’d be Shaye Archer. Now imagine that a month ago you’s killed your husband as he tried to murder you. But now the dead man seems to be in your house, leaving and takng objects, giving you nightmares. You’d be Emma Frederick. And who would believe your story? Quite the first case for Shaye Archer. Set in New Orleans, this fast paced thriller is a compelling page turner that will keep you reading.
It was unexpected but there was too much back story on irrelevant details too throw you off.
It was a good read
