From New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the first in a new thriller series.
Everyone wondered about Shaye Archer’s past. Including Shaye.
Shaye Archer’s life effectively began the night police found her in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Nine years later, she’s a licensed private investigator, with a single goal—to get … single goal—to get answers for her clients when there aren’t supposed to be any.
And maybe someday, answers for herself.
Emma Frederick thought her nightmare was over when she killed her abusive husband, but someone is stalking her and tormenting her with mementos from her past. With no evidence to support her claims, the police dismiss her claims as post-traumatic stress, but Shaye is convinced that someone is deliberately terrorizing Emma…playing a cat and mouse game with only one goal in mind.
To kill Emma.

I am really liking this author. I’ve two in the Shaye Archer series and will continue . I find these books hard to put down. They are keeping me awake at night. I love that!
So scary and so twisted. Made me double check my doors.
Way too scary and violent for my taste
I didn’t enjoy it because it wasn’t all that
Very good
Looking forward to reading more books by this author
I liked this book. Use of imagination required. However.. that’s majority of book’s today. I will continue reading other books by this Author. Curious to see how all develops. And it did keep me entertained. And unusual..did not guess the storyline development..or ending.
It took me days to get these characters out of my brain. Loved it!!!
Good read didn’t get it figured out till the end.
Very good
I couldn’t stop reading this book, it kept me up the whole night!
It was a great story but it irritates me when there is no ending. It seems to me that it’s just a way to make the reader buy the authors next book.
I liked the strong female characters who refused to lie down and be “victims”.
love that the story continues from book to book!!
If I read it, it was excellent !!!!! I READ IT. JAK, jr.
Loved it excellent
I just finished reading Malevolent, after starting it night before last! It’s a real page turner, with a storyline that is imaginative, yet also very authentic and believable. The characters (especially Shaye, the protagonist) have depth and are well developed, each having their own quirks and very distinct personalities. In that I live approximately an hour and a half outside of New Orleans, I can attest to the authenticity of the local flavor in the book. Overall, this book has been a delicious read, from the first page to the last.
Loved it!
Great book! Couldn’t put it down!
This is a page turner. The plot twist at the end….was not a scenario that I expected.
