From New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the first in a new thriller series.
Everyone wondered about Shaye Archer’s past. Including Shaye.
Shaye Archer’s life effectively began the night police found her in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Nine years later, she’s a licensed private investigator, with a single goal—to get … single goal—to get answers for her clients when there aren’t supposed to be any.
And maybe someday, answers for herself.
Emma Frederick thought her nightmare was over when she killed her abusive husband, but someone is stalking her and tormenting her with mementos from her past. With no evidence to support her claims, the police dismiss her claims as post-traumatic stress, but Shaye is convinced that someone is deliberately terrorizing Emma…playing a cat and mouse game with only one goal in mind.
To kill Emma.

The ending was totally unexpected! The book was thoroughly engrossing! Read it with the lights on!
Once you start this series, you won’t be able to stop! Edge of your seat tension, characters you love, great plotline.
It held my interest, but was a little predictable.
The book was well written and very haunting. To know that there are really people out here in the world that could be so very demented
I had a hard time keeping some of the characters straight.
Excellent! Fast-paced read with a good ending twist. Highly recommend this book.
I loved this book from start to finish. Highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a great mystery.
I thought this book was great. It was a little slow-starting for me (maybe my concentration was off), but once I got into it, I didn’t want to put it down. Twists & turns galore, unexpected surprises, & a shocking ending. I really liked it. And the profanity was kept to a minimum, which was a blessing.
Ok read. Strange ending.
This was really a good thriller! Kept you thinking and wondering until the end.
It makes me want to find out more about Shaye and her history. Just enough detail to keep one guessing but not hokey at all. The current mystery with the mystery of Shaye’s past are artfully interspersed. Looking forward to reading more.
Loved the characters
Shaye Archer is an interesting character-a woman with no knowledge of her past who is a private eye. Determined to help a woman being stalked, archer puts herself in danger. anotherbook whose ending surprised me. Didn’t see that one coming!
This is excellent——-well written. It has everything I like in a thriller. Couldn’t put it down!
Great story with a couple of twists. Easy read.
Couldn’t put it down. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Plan on continuing with the series.
Exceptional story telling!!
I love it can’t wait to read her next one
I enjoyed this read but it left questions about plausibility. I would read the next in the series because it also leads the reader to want to know the “whole” story!
Loved it!!
