From New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the first in a new thriller series.
Everyone wondered about Shaye Archer’s past. Including Shaye.
Shaye Archer’s life effectively began the night police found her in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Nine years later, she’s a licensed private investigator, with a single goal—to get … single goal—to get answers for her clients when there aren’t supposed to be any.
And maybe someday, answers for herself.
Emma Frederick thought her nightmare was over when she killed her abusive husband, but someone is stalking her and tormenting her with mementos from her past. With no evidence to support her claims, the police dismiss her claims as post-traumatic stress, but Shaye is convinced that someone is deliberately terrorizing Emma…playing a cat and mouse game with only one goal in mind.
To kill Emma.

This was a light, somewhat suspenseful read. I found it engaging enough to finish it.
Recently discovered this author and I love her books!
Honestly can’t remember what it was about, but I remember really liking it!!!
I have read a number of Jana DeLeon’s books and enjoyed them all. Malevolent is the first in a series and it will make you want to keep reading them to find out what happens.

I really like DeLeon’s characters…Would definitely read more in this series.
A must read if you like Jana’s character building. Spine chilling but excellent!
Not believable from the start. The author didn’t save it in the end. I kept hoping it would get better.
A fast read. The ending was weird though.
Page turner but an ending that has been done before. Worth the read though
Great mystery. Just when you think the story is going in one direction, something new, yet plausible happens. Good story telling leading the reader to another surprise. Sometimes you figure that’s what going to happen, but not always, which keeps your interest.
As soon as I started this book, Malevolent, I knew I wanted to read the rest of them. Good story.
Kept me guessing and I couldn’t figure it out until the end. I enjoyed the suspense.
This book was a real twisted, cruel tale of hatred and vengeance that this reader cannot imagine having conjured. Impressive imagination at work. Sinister and well put together.
I’ve never read anything quite like this-and I read a LOT. I was sorry to see it end! It was just AWFUL! I loved it.
Great author. Gripping storyline. Hard to put down.
