From New York Times bestselling author Jana DeLeon, the first in a new thriller series.
Everyone wondered about Shaye Archer’s past. Including Shaye.
Shaye Archer’s life effectively began the night police found her in an alley, beaten and abused and with no memory of the previous fifteen years, not even her name. Nine years later, she’s a licensed private investigator, with a single goal—to get … single goal—to get answers for her clients when there aren’t supposed to be any.
And maybe someday, answers for herself.
Emma Frederick thought her nightmare was over when she killed her abusive husband, but someone is stalking her and tormenting her with mementos from her past. With no evidence to support her claims, the police dismiss her claims as post-traumatic stress, but Shaye is convinced that someone is deliberately terrorizing Emma…playing a cat and mouse game with only one goal in mind.
To kill Emma.

Every time you think you know something – you don’t. Ending is a bizarre shock.

Entertaining quick suspense novel.
Ok but not great.
Excellent read. Good writing. Good story. Good characters and character development. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
writing style was fine, but solution to mystery predictable – jumped to end to
confirm my guess……..
Great read
Excellent book that is a real page turner. The main character is unique and refreshing. Overall, it’s a book I’d highly recommend.
I am definitely going to look at the next books in this series! What an excellent read! I sure did not want to put this book down. Ms. DeLeon has created a great character in Shaye Archer, and I so want to learn with her about her lost years. There are so many directions this series can go. Shaye is brave, intelligent, and intuitive. Shaye Archer is a private investigator branching out with her own firm. Before she is even moved into her new office and home, her first client appears, and the action does not stop. My only disappointment was the outrageous “bad guy” in this book, but the rest of the story makes up for it.
Well written, enjoyable read. Read it in one sitting.
