This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Malediction by Erzabet Bishop is the second book in the Curse Workers series. These books are written in a serial style. When I read book one, Sanguine Shadows, I was a little confused with the three chapter stories. I enjoyed the stories, but come-on… three chapters!?! Then I read Malediction (this book is also written in the serial style, but is a little bit longer) and I realized how the stories tie together and that it actually made me stop and think about the previous stories. Each little story gives you a taste of the characters that are intrinsic to the overall storyline. There is a major thread developing through all the stories, but despite the little bit of hang until the next installment, it’s definitely worth the read!
