Knox Bentley never liked the pomp and circumstance that came with being wealthy. But even with the world at his fingertips, he realizes something is missing, and after a long stay overseas, he finally knows exactly what it is. His no-strings-attached hookups with Aubrey Stewart, an exquisite and stubbornly independent blonde, are no longer enough for him. They connect on every level, but Aubrey is a fierce businesswoman with a new movie channel on the horizon and no time for much else. She is the deal he can’t close, the precious jewel even his billions can’t buy. Now that he’s back in the States, he’s determined to show her that what they have goes beyond the bedroom and finally make her his.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Knox and Aubrey heat up the sheets aaand both were at one time ok with that. However Knox is now so not ok with this arrangement and has no idea how to talk Aubrey into marrying him. As always the word fairy has made an incredible story and romance that I just can’t put into words other than this – buy the book and read it !!!
No strings is exactly what Aubrey thinks she has with Knox. Until he decides that they deserve more and goes after the happy ending that he really wants, and Aubrey doesn’t know she wants. I loved that this was a story of a guy wanting more than the girl and the guy knows just what to do to get that happy ending for them both. I don’t always love the story of “no strings” relationships. I want the commitment and relationship, but this is a story that I loved! I loved that while it was “no strings” for Aubrey and Knox, they were really committed to each other. They didn’t see other people, they thought about each other when they weren’t together, and they kept in contact between hook-ups with their everyday lives.
The families of Aubrey and Knox are night and day to each other but the love they share with each other is shown through their actions and their words. I wish every person could have the type of family Aubrey and Knox do. They fight, they love, and they support even when they don’t necessarily agree with each other. Knox has been a little more distant with his family but when he returns to the family inn he falls back into the protective brother and the love he has for his family shines through in all his actions. When Aubrey brought Knox home to her family, I know that she has opened her heart entirely to him and wants him to fit in with the people who mean the most to her.
Of course, in Melissa Foster’s style, I was able to catch up with some of my favorite LWW (Ladies Who Write) ladies. I love hearing what they are up to now and who they are up to it with.
4 1/2 STARS!
Heartfelt goodness! With book five in her The Bradens and Montgomerys series, Melissa Foster continues to delight with Knox and Aubrey’s story in MAKING YOU MINE. Fans of her various series will recognize both characters from previous friends or business partner books and now it’s their turn to find their happily ever after.
Knox is a really fun character to read. He’s got a heart of gold and has been enjoying stolen moments with Aubrey for two years now and suddenly it doesn’t feel like enough. His heart is getting invested, and for his sanity he needs to get her on board with moving forward.
Aubrey is hard as nails and isn’t going to let a relationship derail her one track business mind, but Knox truly does seem to understand her will to succeed and just kind of gets her.
I recommend this book and the entire series to anyone who loves a steamy connection between two characters who are surrounded by a close knit group of family and friends. Foster has a way about her writing that always brings out all the feels for her characters!
‘”Are you for real? Or are you a figment of my imagination, because I didn’t think men like you existed.”
“They don’t.” He pressed his warms hands to her face and looked directly into her eyes as he said, “I’m the only one, and lucky for you, I’m all yours.”‘
I couldn’t love this enough even if I tired. I fell in love with Knox from the very beginning. If this is what drama looks like, I’ll gladly take it. The way he didn’t let Aubrey push him away just had me swooning. He remembered EVERYTHING Aubrey said and used that to show her how he felt. It was amazing! The rest of the characters are just as funny and charming and lovable. I laughed and found myself smiling so much my cheeks hurt. It was exactly what I needed to relax and just forget the world.
The Melissa Foster effect strikes again! I picked this up and rapidly fell into my happy place surrounded by all the joy her writing never fails to bring me. Aubrey and Knox knocked me off my feet with the love and growth in their story. Gradually growing from “acquaintances with benefits” to head over heels in love their story packs the perfect emotional punch while still being full of heat and swoony sweetness.
Making You Mine (Love in Bloom #73, The Bradens #29, The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls #5) by Melissa Foster is about Knox Bentley and Aubrey Stewart. Knox and Aubrey hook up when ever they are at the same event. Knox and Aubrey love the incredible sex when they are together but because of their jobs and lifestyles, a relationship hasn’t been in the cards till now. Knox wants more from Aubrey. She is the absolute perfect woman for him and the incredible sex is a plus. He just needs to convince Aubrey to give him a chance. Aubrey has climbed to the top of the male dominated world and she doesn’t want to take her eye off the prize. A relationship is definitely one that she doesn’t have time for. Regardless how incredible the sex is she isn’t sure she want to take her and Knox’s situation to the next level. This is their story. I truly enjoy this author’s stories. She always takes me on a pleasurable journey of love with a healthy dose of really hot sex. I was not disappointed. I especially enjoy catching up with the many characters in her books. I still need a spreadsheet to see all the different degrees of separation between them all. Despite me having to rack my brain to remember everyone and how they are related or know each other, I cant get enough. I look forward to the next book regardless who it might be, which family or place. 4 stars for me.
Aubrey Stewart and Knox Bentley, how can you not fall in love with these two. Aubrey is amazing all on her own but then you add Knox into the picture with a Cheeto and peach rose bouquet with Aubrey’s favorite orange cream soda on the side and Knox with his Goobers and Wonder bread, definitely a match. I enjoyed that Knox is the one ready to ‘make it official’ so to speak and go all in on a relationship with Aubrey, but she isn’t sure she’s ready for that yet. I totally loved meeting all our new friends when we were snowed in at Monroe House, hoping to see more of them down the road. I am totally girl crushing on Paige and I was so excited to see Hawk again. This book was fun and flirty, yet we saw two brothers trying to forge a deeper relationship and a family trying to have fun and be a family, the dinner table scene was hilarious. I also liked our ‘side romance’ which I was rooting for the whole time and glad it ended on such a high note for both of them. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention all the baby news that we got to catch up on, so many amazing updates in this book. The ending I would give 10 stars just on its own, perfect ending for this story. One of my favorite lines from this book was, ‘As I recall, Mrs. Robinson didn’t rush things along’. Melissa Foster, you totally outdid yourself with this book. Excited to see what’s next!
Aubrey and Knox were,”hooking up” for two years. Knox really wanted to date Aubrey. She wasn’t into having a boyfriend, she looked at Knox as just a hookup. Aubrey who runs the LWW is looking for the perfect location to film Charlotte’s movie. Knox told Aubrey he had connections at an Inn she wanted to film at. They head to the Inn for a meeting, come to find out Knox was hiding a small detail. After being snowed in things changed.
As always, this is a fantastic book. Melissa never disappoint. I highly recommend this story. There is a HEA with no cliffhanger.
Get Ready Here Comes Knox & Aubrey’s story Making You Mineis a fantastic, sexy, romantic story that answers so many questions for me in pertaining to Knox & Aubrey.
Knox Bentley is a charmer, loyal friend and a man who has his heart set on one woman, the question is how was he going to convince her of this. I can’t say how much I adore the hero. Knox knows his worth and what he is capable of achieving, his charm and heart doesn’t go unnoticed in every page.
Aubrey Stewart is just amazing. I enjoyed her intelligence, her drive and her playful nature being raised in a male dominant family it is easy to be over come but Aubrey done it in brilliant fashion. There is only one man that had her struggling to understand and his name is Knox Bentley.
Knox & Aubrey are fun, cute and sexy with a capital S! I enjoyed getting to know these characters from previous books in the series. I now understand what drove Aubrey and Knox to be the adults there are now. Can Knox & Aubrey show each other how to heal? There is a favorite moment between Knox & Aubrey in a movie theater that had me spewing my tea! Melissa Foster you slay me.
The supporting characters were utterly brilliant, I see so many stories old and new. I enjoyed seeing how the characters are doing from Ms. Foster’s previous books. I try to pick out who will be paired with who in the following books to come. I enjoy how Ms. Foster keeps every character real as in every day they are supporting and loving, but have no problem letting them know when they screw up. There is definitely no blowing smoke.
I don’t know what I enjoy better when it come to Melissa Foster’s books; her amazing characters or her amazing description when she describes place in her books. She takes the time to introduce you to people and places, Knox and Aubrey’s story is no different, you discover them both in other books, but for me since I have read Melissa’s books I have always wanted Knox’s story. The plot was laid out with strong character relations, healing of family’s situations with a healthy doses of love, laughter and some powerful passions in and out of the bedroom. I have always held Melissa Foster’s book Tru Blue as my all time favorite, but Making You Mine is a close damn second in my heart.
Rated 5 Stilettos and a Recommended Read by Deb
5 Star review of Making You Mine (The Bradens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls #5) by Melissa Foster
This is Knox Bentley and Aubrey Stewart’s story and what an entertaining story it was. I have read several books by Melissa Foster and I thoroughly enjoy her writing style.
Knox is fed up with the hook-ups he and Aubrey have engaged in over the last couple of years, having finally realized that he wants more from the strong and independent business woman, the only problem is convincing her as she seems to be happy to leave things the way they are.
Their attraction and chemistry is sizzling and intense. However there is certainly miss communication between them, which led to some fun interactions.
Making You Mine certainly ticked the boxes for me. Knox is swoon worthy, protective and altogether a great guy. Can he convince Aubrey to take a chance on a relationship?
I love Knox and Aubrey and found them easy to relate to as I did the secondary characters. I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
Although I’m kind of over the billionaire trope, this is one author who can make me forget all that because her characters are so relatable and enticing. And when the hero is the one to fall first and coaxes the reluctant heroine into facing what’s been in her heart all along? Yes, please! Sure, they may have business and social issues a lot of us may not relate to, but when all that is removed, they’re still two people made vulnerable by fear of the unknown and all those foreign emotions they have no control over.
Aubrey Stewart is a self-made woman, heading up the media department of LWW Enterprises, the company she started with her two best friends. Knox Bentley, successful in his own right, is Aubrey’s go-to hookup after social events, until Knox wants more, and Aubrey has no idea what to do with that. She may be cool and confident in the boardroom, but when it comes to dating and relationships, she’s a fish out of water.
These two characters are so much fun, with all that push and pull between them. Knox is just the kind of hero we would all love to have pursuing us — a charming go-getter with a heart of gold. If you’re looking for a book with plenty of steam and lots of laughter, but one that also hits you in the feels (and steam, did I mention steam?), you’ll love Knox and Aubrey’s story.
A steamy, hawt slide into figuring out love takes Aubrey and Knox on an adventurous walk to realizing love does exist. What a witty, heartfelt romance these two don’t even know they have. Loved it!!
I am still fairly new to Melissa Foster’s books, but I thoroughly enjoyed the newest book, Making You Mine. All though, there were recurring characters from previous books, I did not have too much of a problem following along. It actually made me curious of some of their stories.
The heroine in this book, Aubrey Stewart, was a fascinating character. She is an extremely successful businesswoman, fiercely independent, and is determined to keep her life drama free. And in the last couple years, the occasional hookups with Knox Bentley has been working for her. But for Knox, he is realizing that he wants more. I absolutely adored how determined and relentless Knox was to make their relationship a more permanent one. The chemistry between these two were off the charts but watching them fall in love was awesome. The secondary characters were also so great! Getting to know both their families and seeing the interactions were a definite plus.
Knox and Aubrey’s story was a wonderful read about two extremely hard-headed and stubborn people who find they are made for each other.
A twist of fate. A love that endures and a heart determined to speak. If ever I was to write a love ballad this would be how I would want it to be. Making You Mine puts it’s best heart forward. Aubrey and Knox give emotions a chance to breathe, while making the senses swoon. Foster doesn’t believe in perfect. She dreams in reality. Aubrey is an independent woman searching for a safe place to fall. Knox is as stubborn as he is sweet and he’s waiting to catch her with open arms. Making You Mine is a beautiful heartache. Humor goes a long way when it comes to healing a broken heart.
Audio Review: Making You Mine: Aubrey & Knox (The Braedens & Montgomerys: Pleasant Hill – Oak Falls) by Melissa Foster (Author), Andi Arndt (Narrator), Jason Clarke (Narrator)
Arndt and Clarke make beautiful music together. With tender loving care they turn Melissa’s battle of hearts into a duet of love. Knox and Aubrey were already a beautiful heartache. Foster grabs readers by the heartstrings with an enduring love that at moments reads like a foolish heart, but as always leaves a lasting impression. Making You Mine hits all the right notes for love.
I can’t get enough of this series!
Making You Mine was so sweet! Knox and Aubrey were adorable and I love how all of Melissa Foster’s stories are interwoven!
This is another do not miss read from my all time favorite author!
This is a great & emotional addition to the Love in Bloom series. Aubrey is one of the founders of LWW & has been looking for a inn to film a video at. Knox came from a very wealthy family but he went off on his own & several years ago met Aubrey. The two have been seeing each other off & on when they are in the same area. The question is, when Knox decides he wants it all with Aubrey, will she agree?
I love the Bradens, Montgomerys, Bentleys, etc… and if I could find the guy Knox was even remotely based on, hell he wouldn’t need to chase me for 2 years!
The LWW series of women is also incredible, and Aubrey is amazing as the head of the entertainment division. These 2 strong willed characters are fabulous together, and the story is perfect.
I love how Foster combines love, laughter, drama, and all the while continues a series for so long and keeps the characters interesting and inviting.
Aubrey is one of the founders of LWW ( Lady’s Who Write ) and has been looking for the perfect Inn to film a movie and comes from a family of athletes. Knox didn’t follow in his father’s footsteps, he went out on his own. Knox and Aubrey have been hooking up for two years but Knox wants more and will do anything to get her. Aubrey is happy with the way they are and doesn’t want drama in her life. Will Knox convince the woman he has fallen for to give them a chance?
This was sexy, funny, and will have you cheering for Knox. I love Mrs Foster’s book will take you to another place. Be prepared for sexy times.
