As for Elektra, well, she’s just not going to rest until the culprit smiles for the mugshot.
Publisher’s Note: This is Book #9 in the Bare Bones MC series. This book is a standalone and can be read out of order, but the series is best read in order to gain the full experience. This is not your mother’s contemporary romance. Daring readers will encounter violence, gun play, a backstory involving underage porn, human smuggling, and child murder. It is not for the faint of heart. It’s a full-length novel of 67,000 words with no cliffhanger and HEAs all around for all. Mature content and possible triggers.

This nonstop action story will have you up in the air. Gray and Elektra join forces to help capture a killer. They are joined by a series of characters that makes this story intense and hard to put down. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Grey was and still is part of Ford’s group from back in the day, even knew Mandy from their past. But he still had a troubling child/teenage-hood. He’s an actors that taking a hiatus from LA in P&E with his buddies but he’s a prospect about to run one of the business the club owns.
Elektra Spinoza has been on the hunt for justice for 10 years. After a tragic event that was disgraceful to innocent life changed Elektra in many ways, leaned and became DNA scientists for the FBI, divorced from a junkie and living to find justice for all lived that was taken before their time. And finding one coldcase murder brought her to P&E and in line with Bare Bones MC since one of the brothers’ ‘Kneecap past came back into the light thanks to Elektra.

While I love MC reads, “Making His Bones” was a difficult read for me to get into. I put the book down several times, going back later and hoping it would start to make a bit more sense to me. It was a bit all over the place, and I was not sure if this was because it is my first read in the series, but somehow, I don’t think it was. Like another reviewer, I picked this one up as an ARC quite a while back. I kept going back to it, as I do not like to leave a book unread. That being said, I did finish it and now must leave my review. **Thanks to Booksprout for gifting me “Making His Bones”** My review is my own based on my reading. 2 stars…That being said, I will try another book by Layla Wolfe.
Wonderfully fantastic… The book was amazing… It had a lot of details and juicy scenes to it… The characters and their personalities match them perfectly… The plot and the storyline was very descriptive and amazing…

This is surely a motley crew of characters. In full disclosure this is my first encounter with this series. I was a bit concerned when she suggested that it might be better to read the previous books in the series. I found that I was able to enjoy the story and follow along without having done that which is great. Elektra, like her name, is a striking character. I love that she is a mature women who owns her sexuality and her pathway in life. Gray has had a hard life but has not let it define him or make him shy away from love. These two, along with the most unusual MC I have ever encountered, dive into solving a cold case and shutting down the evil doings of this small time. The characters are wacky and lovable. Filled with lots of crazy action and steamy goodness.
Gray and Elektra are on a mission to find out who killed her daughter years ago. Gray was a prospect for the Bare Bones MC and Elektra was a DNA expert who worked hand in hand with law enforcement so this was an unlikely couple. But then again who wouldn’t help a woman find her child’s killer.
There was so much going on in town with a very sketchy preacher whose family was connected with everything from kiddie porn to making moonshine to leaving young boys who were being used as mules in the desert to die. The MC didn’t stand for this so they helped Gray and Elektra to get to the bottom of everything.
Follow their relationship from the beginning with the older woman who helped the law bring criminals to justice and the handsome biker with a secret past of his own that could possibly help her out.
I love this MC and Gray is one I want please and thank you.
When one of his is arrested he teams up with Elektra and they won’t quit until they get the right oerson and the chemistry between them holy cow
This action packed story was a real page turner with a well written storyline, a plot that flowed smoothly from page to page and characters that were written with such great detail and depth that I was totally engaged throughout the entire book!
This is another great suspense story in this wonderful series Here we handle lost children and what happens to them
Elektra Spinoza is a forensic geneticist and her speciality he linking people to crimes through DNA she has recently worked on bringing a murderer in a member of The Bare Bones MC but she has history in this area years earlier her daughter was killed in this area. This is another great addition to the Bare Bones MC series. Gray and Elektra find chemistry even though they are from two completely different worlds and she is the “enemy” of the Bare Bones at the moment. As she and Gray grow closer and and they help each other along the way, she comes to accept his way of life and the Bare Bones comes to accept hers. It is a great book that tells a great story and will even teach you a little about DNA testing along the way!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Layla Wolfe has once again written an awesome MC story. Gray and Elektra are phenomenal together. This story gives you the feels. It’s full of action, danger, and and emotional angst. Truly an awesome read.
Set aside a full day for this well-written, wild ride combining a cold case, a DNA researcher, and a motorcycle club. It was a little TOO steamy for me, but that is me.

Kinky with a side of wit, MAKING HIS BONES the newest MC romance by Layla Wolfe does one heck of a job, telling the most compelling story as well as shining a bright light on the evil of human trafficking and the sexual slavery. Other authors have taken on the subject, shedding light on the underbelly of society – those who profit on the exploitation of others. However, author Layla Wolfe has not only put a light on the darkest of evils but does so in a way that also poses realistic options to find, fight, and overcome that evil. And does so in a way that both challenges and entertains her readers. While I volunteered to read an early copy of MAKING HIS BONES, I will be looking for more titles by this author in the future. The main characters, Elektra and Bones share an amazing chemistry and strengthen each other over the course of events. I couldn’t put MAKING HIS BONES down until I knew everything, and now I am going to go back to read this one again! Get your copy of MAKING HIS BONES today! Happy pages!
Elektra is a forensic specialist and Gray is the member of an outlaw biker gang and together they are trying to find who killed her daughter. Also they are trying to catch whoever is in charge of the child endangerment. Good read.
