A READERS’ FAVORITE FINALIST ** SIZZLE CATEGORY **
For almost five years, Alex has had one obsession. Her name is Elynn.

After months of avoiding it, Alex goes to brunch with every intention of giving his … intention of giving his father’s new family the deep freeze. But he can’t pull it off with Elynn’s anxious green-grey eyes locked on him.
That was the day his life changed.
Four years later, Alex is as close to Elynn as a stepbrother can be. But that’s not enough for him. He wants more…and he’s done waiting.

An awesome story by Lucy Leroux. I really enjoyed the story and liked both characters. Good solid plot. Just the right amount of heat to not overpower the romance. Simply a good solid romance.

A passionate stepbrother romance with an alpha Greek bad boy and the young virgin stepsister he falls in love with. A stepsister with a known stalker who appears at the most unexpected times. Sweet and romantic reading experience. I enjoyed Alex and Elynn’s story.

A wonderful story of Alex and Elynn’s journey from step siblings to love and lovers.
Alex bides his time and his love until she is older and ready. Each are from very different paths and pasts. It may affect their future or it may make it all work out! One alpha male, one strong woman and a lot of scorching chemistry!
Alex wants Elynn’s future to be with him
This is my 1st book by Lucy and I love an author who writes in dual point of view. Alex’s new stepsister, Elynn isn’t as young and frumpy as he once thought. Alex soon finds himself caring for her more than a big brother should. But will their odd match survive Elynn’s nightmarish past? You have to read to find out and will love the banter between Alex and Elynn.
I really enjoyed this story. Really good plot to the story. Very well written. Would highly recommend it to anyone who likes this kind of stories. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

This is my first read of this author’s books and definitely won’t be the last. This romance flows beautifully because of great plot and character development. It captured my attention and held it till the end.

I have read this book multiple times and it is still a stunning masterpiece. I cannot express just how much I love this book. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book in exchange for a free copy.
This is a wonderfully moving and sweet stepbrother romance. Alex will go out of his way to make sure Elynn is always taking care of and feels safe. Emotions are palpable through the pages along with the tension between characters. This is an amazing read that shows how much a little safety and love can do for one person.
I received an advanced copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an unbiased , honest review.
This was a pretty good read and while overall I really did enjoy it the only downside for me was that even though Alex did the right thing waiting for her to be older and ready he cannot have really been in love with her seen as he was still sleeping around. Other than that I did like him and Elynn and thought they were really good together. Overall I really liked this book.
Marking Her (#1 in Marked Series) by Elena M. Reyes. New series by a great author. This book is good and I’m already looking forward to next book in series. The plot is decent, and the characters have a good chemistry together. I enjoyed the author’s attention to detail and male POV story telling. I would recommend this book to others.

My first book by this author and I can honestly say it did not disappoint. The characters are well developed and engaging. The storyline had substance and flowed easily. Alex is Elynn new stepbrother. As the years pass so do Alex’s feelings for her. He is a dominant male and she is a quiet girl but with a strong backbone. There is true love and hot chemistry for these two. It has a dramatic ending.

Alex knows what he wants and always gets what he wants, he does not give up.
When he meets his stepsister, suddenly something changes… His heart is not so cold anymore… But there is a 10 years gap between them and she has so much baggage already.
I loved the story, the characters and how their relation develloped.

This is av wellwritten and fastpaced story filled with emotion. The storyline is great and the characters lovely. Love the bond between Alexandro and Elynn. If you love reading about alpha men ( without being abusive and controlling) then this one is for you.

This is book one in the “A Singular Obsession” series by Lucy Leroux. This is also my first book by this author. I not sure how I can put into words how good this book was! This has the alpha male wanted to protect ‘his women’, hot sex scenes, and you just get emotional drawn in! Once I put this book down I started reach for the next in the series. Since yesterday I have read the 1.5 book ‘Confiscating Charlie’ the second book ‘Calen’s Captive ‘ and moved on to the third book ‘Stolen Angel’ and will finish it up today. You just can’t get enough of this author and her books!
Alex Hanas has been upset that his father as went and married after being a widow for years. Alex thinks his new step-mom is a gold digger and that her daughter is fat and ugly. Alex’s father makes him come to a Sunday Brunch to try to build on being a family. Alex after several months breaks down and goes to his father’s house to try to do this brunch thing. When their he notices Elynn his suppose step-sister that he thought was fat and ugly. But Alex gets a good look at her and finds that his first impression of her was wrong. She is in fact beautiful but chooses to wear really loose clothes to hide her body. They start a friendship that has Alex falling in love with her but he knows she is still to young for him and also she has something in her past that is an issue for her being around men. So Alex settles to be her friend until he thinks she is older and is no longer scared and would except a relationship with him.
I really liked this. Having read the two books that come after this first, I kind of knew what was coming. A quick skim of some of the other reviews suggests that this is a very divisive story but for me it worked. I would never expect a man I’m not in a relationship with to remain faithful to me for half a decade with no promise of a relationship in the future. That’s completely unrealistic. And to me, no relationship means it’s not cheating. Okay, end of rant. Here’s what I enjoyed most. I loved Elynn’s quirky scientific mind. And even though Alex starts out as one of “those” alpha jerks the care he takes in making sure that Elynn is safe and protected and looked after really endeared him to me. The chemistry between them is a slow burn throughout the book, it doesn’t start out big and overwhelming. They have the chance to become friends first before exploring a different kind relationship. I think what I appreciated the most, was that when everything went the farthest sideways, Elynn solves her own problems. Alex is there to help her clean up the messes, but she’s the one who handles all the wrongness and puts it to rights.
This is the first book I’ve read by Lucy Leroux and I look forward to reading books in this series. Alex has been in love with his younger stepsister for years, but has been waiting for the right time to begin a romantic relationship with her. Elynn had a traumatic experience and doesn’t trust men easily. Alex is a very jealous person and when he sees her with another man, he knows he has to make his feelings known. Elynn has always felt safe with Alex and found him attractive, but can she get over his having a different woman in his life so often and trust what he says? If you’re looking for a steamy read that has some suspenseful moments, then I say definitely read this page turner!
I loved this story by Lucy Leroux!
Alex and Elynn, what a story!! Their attraction and how they met. I enjoyed everything about this story.
Older stepbrother becomes protective of new stepsister much to the surprise of family. After years of watching over Elynn, Alex’s friendship crosses the line.
A steamy, sensual romance without dark main characters.
I was on the hunt for a steamy romance when I ran across Lucy Leroux’s book. I took a chance— other step-brother romances have been hit or miss for me. The much, much older, player/stepbrother and the virginal step sis barely out of her teens had me worried.
What set this book apart for me was the way Leroux humanized the characters. Alexandros waited for years for Elynn to come of age, and most importantly for her to be ready for a sexual relationship ( she had a traumatic past). And when the virginal Elynn decided she was ready to be with Alex, she even initiated some of their more adventurous intimate encounters.
If you’re looking for well-developed characters and hot, steamy scenes that aren’t the result of broken people acting out negative emotions, this book is worth your time.
This ARC review is actually the second time I’ve read this book and based my previous star rating my opinion has changed much in 3.5 years since I read it. LOL.
I really liked the heroine and the hero wasn't bad. By not bad I mean I didn't hate him, I didn't love him but I didn't hate him. Slight spoiler* He fell in love with the heroine right around her 18th birthday but was convinced by his father to wait until she matured a bit, which he did. Admirable I guess but he continued to sleep with other women in the 3 or 4 intervening years which I found distasteful. He loved the heroine but couldn't stand not getting laid for awhile? What if they had been together and she couldn't make love because of illness is he going to "have" to cheat because because sex is that impossible to go without? Ugh okay enough with my only real quibble with the book. The villain of the story was interesting and the build up to the big show down felt real. I really liked 98% of the book and I hope you like it too. Enjoy.
***I decided to review an ARC of this book.***
