This is hands down my favorite story with a step-brother trope. Everything about how it was handled to the actual characters themselves was done very well. It doesn’t hurt that the hero is one of my favorite types.
Alexandros and his father, Costas, are rich and powerful and Greek. Alexandros lost his mother at the age of 11 and assumed his father would never remarry. When Costas is well into his 20’s his father falls in love with an American woman with a teenage daughter. Alexandros assumes she is a gold digger and protests the marriage causing trouble between him and his father.
After some time, Costas convinces Alexandros to attend a family brunch where he is forced to socialize with his new step mom and sister. What he wasn’t expecting was to be intrigued with Elynn, his step sister who is 17. He notices she is shy and wears bagging clothing but is extremely smart and beautiful and later learns she has suffered a traumatic event in her life.
I loved how the author cultivated the relationship over a span of years and how respectful Alexandros was of her age. He knew he needed to wait for her to grow up before making a move while also still be an important person in her life. He earned her trust and protected her so that when it was time, she would already have the bases of a strong relationship with him as well as time to heal from her past trauma.
Once he decided she was ready for that relationship, boy did the story heat up. Alexandros is a very dominant man but he always held a part of himself back with her. Once he decided she was ready, he charged full speed ahead.
Not everyone is a fan of an OTT alpha male, but if you are this is the story for you. What I also loved was that since Alexandros gave her so much time to build their trust in each other, Elynn became a more confident woman. While for the most part Alexandros would take complete control of their relationship, she always stood up to him when he pushed her past her comfort zone.
Despite the years it took for them to get together as a couple, I did not feel this story dragged on. In fact, I pretty much read this book straight through, and this is going on my top favorites list. Great story!
Making Her His by Lucy Leroux is a wonderful story by a brand new author for me. This is book number one int his wonderful start to a brand new series. I really enjoyed this story and recommend it to everyone who like reading about step siblings.

I loved this book and the devotion that Alex had towards Elyssa. He loved her and he never waivered from that. I loved that yes he had a history with other women but it also wasn’t thrown in your face. Such a good read!!
I loved reading this story years ago and I still love it now! Alex and Elynn’s story was great and had every element of what it was; a sexy, steamy, suspenseful and intense incredible read 🙂
When step brother and sister fall in love there are going to be some obstacles to overcome, the author takes us through these as the characters learn to love each other and grow with each new obstacle thrown at them. Whilst the plot seems to be a common one at the moment this book is no copy, it’s fresh and completely the authors. Her style of writing made it so I was hooked from a few pages in and I wanted to know what these two would have to go through so they could be together and follow their hearts. Both the characters are likable and the book was very well written.

CEO Alexandros Hanas has been overly cautious around his beautiful stepsister Elynn Scallett ever since he found out she’d been stalked and attacked by fellow high school student Stephen Wainwright, who managed to buy his way out of a prison sentence. Alex has been keeping an eye on Stephen Wainwright over the years while waiting for Elynn to be ready for a relationship. When Alex sees a man kiss Elynn, he’s done waiting but what happens when Alex makes his feelings known to Elynn?
Making Her His is an angsty, steamy and suspenseful story that will keep you on the edge of your seat. I can’t wait to read Calen’s Captive, Book 2 of the A Singular Obsession series
This book I definitely worth the read!
Alex’s love is so strong all consuming.
A book where the man is the one that has known from the start, they where meant to be together

I could only dream of someone like Alex obsessed with me. I thought it was going to be the same old plot oh boy I was wrong
Alex is your typical over the top Alpha who when he sees something he wants he goes after it that something is Elane his 17 year old stepsister. Alex at first doesn’t relize how obsessed hes become until his father blows up at him so Alex waits 4 years for his chance to be with Elan. Dose he live a Sainted existence during that time no hes a real playboy with horrible tast in women. But the minute he thinks Elan is moving on hes ready to drop the friendship for more and leave his bad habits behind even if they don’t want to let him leave them. Alex’s good traits hes protective if a little over bearing but Elane doesn’t allow him to get away with anything. His bad habits and the only thing I truly hated about his character was the parade of females in his life can you say revolving door but he definitely drops all that after Elane.
Elana her new life new family is all a bit daunting especially her stepbrother Alex but after time hes her best friend always there for her he treats her better then everyone else in his life especially his employees and the women. Her stepbrother is a playboy though and her stepfather hates it. But then things change shes not sure why but Alex is showing her allot of attention soon there deeply envolved but with her past trauma and the family dynamic and age difference can they make things work. Elan is sweet really smart and strong she never lets Alex get away with being bossy. But she has a very traumatic past that won’t let go easily can she have her HEA with Alex.
I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book via Booksprout and this is my honest review.
I love slow burn romances. While this is also a stepbrother romance, it is a well done one. Elynn and Alex met for the first-time at their parents’ wedding. Alex doesn’t really remember her and he’s very cold at first, but he starts to warm up to Elynn due to her quirky personality and shyness. She’s too young at first, so they start as friends and he takes on the role as protector. She gains confidence in having such an incredible friend like him. He knows how he feels about her early and it takes time (years)for him to realize she’s ready for a relationship. He slowly courts her and it’s so incredibly sweet. She’s a little slow in realizing how he feels, despite all his actions. It’s a very sweet story, with incredibly likeable characters. I cannot wait for stories from Alex’s friends!

This was my first Lucy Leroux’ book. This is the first book in A Singular Obsession Series, a stepbrother romance. Alex and Elynn’s story is intriguing, captivating, and page turner. Alex is protective, supportive, and caring. Elynn is a wonderful and strong woman. They share a strong chemistry. The secondary characters are great. The storyline is fast-paced, sexy, with a little suspense. I love the ending. Ainslie Caswell did a great job with the narration. I love her male voice. I enjoyed it! Looking forward to listen to the next book in the Series, Calen’s Captive.
This is a wonderful story. It is filled with danger, lust and secrets. Fun and crazy characters. Alexander and Elynn and wonderful together. Even though Elynn is younger (21) it’s hard to remember that. She has always been older in her heart and brain. Once Alex got over hating her. He decided to get to know her and eventually fell For her charm and wit. I enjoyed. Alex because once he made up his mind. He didn’t let anything deter him. They have a crazy journey filled with jealous Ex’s, stalkers, and paparazzi.
I listened to this on audio. The narrator did a good job overall.
Audiobook: Narrator – Ainslie Caswell
Nice narration although there was a bit of a noise that bled through occasionally. Some of the characterizations was a bit overly dramatic, but the story is absolute perfection!
This has an awesome over the top alpha hero who fits the bill for my favorite jealous/possessive heroes. His behavior and reactions toward her are what made this story. He was highly protective even if he needed to protect her from him. The heroine is a totally science geek, shy and a bit withdrawn but over the course of the story she begins to grow into her own.
Absolutely loved it!
He cannot believe his father is marrying again that he avoids them and her daughter. He decides to go to brunch to give them a piece of his mind. He then sees the daughter and it all changes. He wants her so much. What will happen? See if they will get together

Dang, what a truly fabulous book! Loved the total “alpha” type hear me roar Alex, who so helped Elynn find her true self and what obstacles they had to overcome, I loved how he did a lot of “behind the scenes”. I just need to re-read this book, has an absolute fantastic HEA and loved the Epilogue ending, I want to say more, but don’t want to say any spoilers, it’s a book you really should read.

Well crafted story with intense chemistry, I loved reading this book. He is determined to feel one way about her given their situation but she’s able to change his point of view without even trying. Then we play the waiting game but the suspense is worth it. This was possibly the first book I read with this subject and I found myself secretly fascinated by the way the author created the intensity in this book. Recommend

This is the 2nd book I’ve read written Lucy Leroux; she has done a great job at writing a good book; I will definitely be reading more of her books.
The story line caught my attention at the very beginning and kept me interested throughout the entire book.
I loved the chemistry between the characters.

LOVED IT!!
Elynn and Alexandros are the best! These two are step siblings and best friends and when everything changes between them Elynn is startled to find that Alex’s feelings for her are not new, it’s been a long time coming. Nothing too taboo about this, at least I didn’t think so. Loved it!
