I’ve won over the queen of the school but now her brother hates me and he’s out for my blood. He thinks I’m a spy, he thinks I’ve aligned myself with the sociopath drug addict who walks the halls with murder on his mind.Every choice I make is being watched, there are more eyes on me than the privileged guys who want me gone.If I survive the halls of Hannaford Prep I still have to face the Jackal.… to face the Jackal.
The game is only just beginning and now I need to make my move.

AHHHHH ok so like I said there are enough reviews if you want to know more but I loved that in this book, she actually talks about her harem and makes a decision.
Audio is still awesome. It’s just the last one available on Hoopla so may need to buy the rest to see where this goes.
4.75 stars So I started this series roughly about 24 hours or so ago and I’ve already finished book 2 and this was almost as slow moving romance wise as book 1. But the tension, the twists and all the drama hooked me for real. Eclipse might be my favourite RH heroine EVER. She has a spine of titanium and watching Blaze, Harley and Ash slowly lower their shields and give in to their attraction..it’s kind of a beautiful thing to see. There’s still plenty of characters that are completely deplorable and I’m pretty sure Joey might take the place of my hated character in any literature I’ve ever read.
Welcome to the wicked mind of J Bree and her diabolical story telling- hang on tight, it’s gonna get crazy, bloody, and super steamy.
J Bree is a consummate world builder- and the Hannaford world is one as sharp as it is welcoming, full of colorful characters with traumatic pasts, grey moral codes, and ever changing agendas. Lips, her men, and all of the fantastic secondary characters are captivating and magnetic. From the early bully push-pull all the way to the epic, heart stopping devotion that ensues, I could feel the chemistry down in my marrow. And what a heroine- there is no one like Lips- powerful, in control, totally alpha- the consummate survivor and the gritty warrior.
Action is no-stop, twists and turns abound, darkness and danger permeate every page- a total page turner and a wild, addictive ride. But what I loved most was the LOVE- and not just the romance, but the familial love. The love and loyalty this make-shift crew has for each other – a love that supersedes the game, a love that overpowers and controls the game. There is now greater power- the friendships, the connections, the devotion this crew of misfits has for each other. I want to live in this world forever!
OMG!!!
I was hooked from the first page. This book is so intense! I can’t believe all that’s happening. I hate to admit it but I’m still sceptical about the fabulous 4’s true feelings about Lips. I’m still not totally sure they’re not playing her alittle. Lord I hope I’m wrong. I do LOVE the new love story that’s starting. I really hope she doesn’t choose just one, I hope she keeps it a foursome between her and the guys but if she has to choose one I hope she chooses Harley. I think they’ve got more in common. Now lets talk about the Jackal. I’m worried about what’s he got planned for Lips. I know she’s a real badass but she’s also got a handicap now with her knee screwed up. Does she have what it takes to take out the Jackal? At times the suspense was so intense I almost peed my pants. This book is full of angst, mystery, suspense and excitement. I highly recommend this series to everyone!
If you read my review of the first book in the series, you know that this series is my favorite of all time in the several hundred books I have read. If I could only take one form of entertainment with me to a deserted island it would be this book series I would bring. That being said, this second book “Make Your Move” is my favorite book in the series and that’s saying something because the entire series is epic and in some ways each book just gets better.
In the first book JDO, we are introduced to these epic characters and we experience Lips triumphing over some pretty tough bullying. She is fierce but with heart. Lips is my all-time favorite FMC but I yammered on about her in the first review so I’ll leave it at that for this one. 🙂 In this second book we see the table turn and Lips has so many shining moments where we get to experience her through the eyes of Avery, Harley, Blaise, and Ash who are starting to really see her for the fierce, strong, loyal, protective person she is and they want her now.
I love her friendship with Avery. It’s unlike anything I have read in any other books before. The friendship between these two girls is the front and center plot line of this second book and you will come to love the “dictator and the assassin” as a dynamic duo. If you’re like me you’ll envy the unbreakable bond of friendship and loyalty they have. It’s not a romantic relationship but it is a relationship built on love and loyalty that rivals some of the best romantic relationships penned.
This books also has the redemption of the male characters but it builds on a different timeline and set of circumstances for each guy which keeps each relationship unique and plausible. It’s sooo fun to watch them realize their mistakes and make their plays to get back in her good graces.
I love this book (and series) so hard. If you haven’t started this series, I can’t stress enough how good it is and you’re in luck because the full series is released, no anxiously waiting for the “next book” to release. Go on! Start this series. Lose sleep over it just like I did. 😉
It’s been awhile since I’ve been so caught up in a book that I forgot to notice how far into it I was. I just fell right off that cliff. Haha
Impeccable sequel! I have no idea what’s going to happen. And I am LOVING the sexual build up!
I’m loving this series. This book has hooked me and I can’t put them down! Great writing, characters, twists, & turns! Can’t wait to see what happens next!
So I love J Bree. She is one of my favorite authors I have basically all of her books and I follow her everywhere (stalker much). Well yea of course she is a great writer but I was just a tad bit disappointed with this book. Not too much just a tiny bit. I gave it a 5 stars but it’s more like a 4.7 to me. I will not get into any specifics in my review but I will say you have to read it. Knowing what the boys thought about Lips and how much Ash fought so hard over his feelings for him before he finally gave into them. Well let me just tell you it is incredible. Most of the conversations that we missed in Lips’ POV well we got them. I can’t believe what Avery told the boys but she was always team Lips for sure. I finally got into their head and I was totally drooling for Ash because he is my favorite and the best of the bunch, let’s agree to disagree LOL. I do really hope J Bree does the rest of them in their POV because I need more of Ash. I need to hear everything they think about what happens in the Mounts Bay world. I also wish she would do a book or even a novella of when Lips became the Wolf of Mounts Bay. From the time she was picked by the Jackal all the way to her decision to get into Hannaford Prep. I really want to know how everything went and how or why it was that the Jackal broke her leg entirely. Thanks so much for another great read J Bree

………
“I had to get your attention somehow.”
………
OMG! I never knew I needed this in my life! I will be honest I wasn’t sure if I would like the guys POV but I’ve been enthralled with these guys the entire book! I didn’t think Hannaford could get any better but J Bree hit it out of the park!
……….
“She’s the melody in my head now, the sweet notes that get me through each day.”
………
This book is the guys POV during their sophomore year at Hannaford – “Just Drop Out” is the original and it fallows the same storyline but from the guys POV. And omg is it the sweetest book! Lips was so clueless to these guys affections in JDO so to see their POV was phenomenal. Harley is tripping over himself to get Lips’ attention and she has no clue. To experience their reactions to specific key events in this book was just perfect.
………..
“I’ve fallen head first into an obsession with the Wolf of Mounts Bay.”
……….
If you have not read the Hannaford Prep series, it’s my favorite bully academy series. The world that J Bree has built around Hannaford is just aww inspiring! Hands down if you have read it, you need to read this book!
So I definitely liked book 2 better than book 1 – the guys are less jerks and I loved seeing them wake up to the reality of Lips. Lips is awesome and I love her friendship with Avery. Lips is definitely the character that makes this series for me. She is tough, but has some in vulnerability, innocent but cynical. The is full of contradictions that just work. Off to download book 3!
At the end of Just Drop Out Lips wins over Avery by saving her from rape. Ash still doesn’t trust her, Harley is now inducted and off limits to anyone, and Blaise still wants to know how she got a better grade than him in Choir. Joey is still escalating, that boy is both dangerous and evil.
We get some insight into the twins Avery and Ash in the prologue of this book, reasons they’re so protective of each other. Then the school year is beginning. Avery and Lips are going to be roommates this year quite the change from last. In fact everything this year is going to be a change.
From her last job before they headed back Lips has cash to be laundered, and Avery has the person to do it. Atticus Crawford, is her go to person and she also has more than a little crush on him. He on the other hand keeps pushing her away. One thing that comes out early is the pool to get Lips in bed is now over a million dollars. No one is ever going to win that pool, Lips isn’t going to ‘sleep’ with anyone at Hannaford Prep, not willingly and certainly never unwillingly. Those are just the cold hard facts.
Lance, a new scholarship student signs up for her tutoring. Ash and Blaise don’t care for that. With the help needs to hopefully please his father, Lips is going to tutor in private. Ash is still very pissed Avery and Lips have become friends.
Harley has been inducted by the Wolf but she’s still keeping him in the dark about all that means.
Avery’s recital has Ash and Blaise keeping their eyes on her, in the meantime Joey has another party. Now Joey thinks he can out smart her, but Lips isn’t having any of it, in fact she doesn’t even have to do anything it just happens. This also leaves Harley with some questions.
There are plenty of twists and turns in this one, and a surprise idiot trying to claim the prize for getting Lips in bed. That was fun to watch and solves the panty mystery in the process.
The other thing that I found amusing is that Lips doesn’t have a clue they all are flirting with her, trying to get her to notice. They have no clue she wants all of them either, even with the Jackal’s threat hanging over her head.
One of the brighter sides is that Joey is graduating and they won’t have to deal with him at school anymore in the next book.
I knew Lips and Avery would become a power duo!!! Lips is still my favorite character. She is ambitious, so a badass and isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty. Alot more secrets about the five main characters came to light in this book. Ash definitely annoyed me throughout the whole book but hopefully that changes. Blaise and Harley are my favorites. There is definitely a lot of drama in this book and alot of politics and like I mentioned previously I wish this whole story took place in college rather than high school because the issues that the five are dealing with seem like more adult problems and they handle them like adults instead of like teenagers.
This series has so many layers and it just keeps getting better and better!!! I’m a total addict! I just can’t put it down! The drama keeps building and building and I KNOW there’s going to be a brain explosion soon! There’s so many different scenarios I’m thinking of and it has my head spinning! I’m loving this series!
One thing about this series is that it keeps me interested in what’s going to happen. I thought that this story would have a bit more romance but it didn’t and now that I’m getting used to this author’s writing style, it doesn’t bother me that much but I would still love a little romance thrown in here. I still can’t believe that Avery and Lips are best friends. I can say one thing about this group of characters and it’s that they have the worst parents. Joey is even crazier than ever, there’s a panty snatcher on the loose, the bet for who gets to have sex with Lips first is higher than ever and no one in this story is safe. The Wolf comes out to play and The Jackal finally makes his appearance. I’m excited to read what happens in the next book.
Jeez! This series just keeps getting more layered and twisted and I can’t read fast enough! I have completely fallen in love with the characters. The plot is fast-paced and consuming. I will definitely be telling everyone to read this book!
Make your Move by JBree is book two in the Hannaford Prep Series. This book continues on the story of Lips, Harley, Blaise, Ash and Even Avery.
If you haven’t read the first book yet then you most definitely need to otherwise you won’t understand what has happened so far.
I’ve become so completely obsessed with this world that this author has created. I feel like I have ventured into the unknown with no way out. Everything about this book for me is ticking all my boxes.
I’ve never met such a strong and powerful heroine in the books that I have read in such a long time. She is literally one of a kind and I am loving everything about her. She is literally #GOALS.
In this book, things get so much more interesting, much more action packed. Unlike in the first book where it was surrounded by Eclipse getting bullied, this book focuses on them joining forces and putting their differences aside and getting revenge on those who wronged them.
We delve more into each of the characters a bit more but especially Lips. There is so much mystery around Lips that hasn’t come to light yet. Avery seems to know more then the boys and slowly the boys learn snippets along the way. How she had become who she is, and more about the mysterious members of the Twelve.
The twist and turns in this book I certainly didn’t see, I don’t want to go too much into the story plot as I don’t want to ruin it for readers who haven’t read yet. There’s nothing worse then reading a review and their is spoilers.
Let me just tell you, if your into bully romances with so much mystery, secrets, plot twists, hot alpha boys then this book is most definitely for you.
I’m so hooked into this world, that I am off to read the next book in this series.
Holy. Smokes!!! This book was insanely good!!!! J. Bree has done it again and I’m definitely not disappointed! I can’t wait to read the next book in this series! So much angst and page-turning that left me with so many questions at the end!!! Book 3 here I come!
I do love a good slow burn. Slooooow burn. J Bree continues to weave a story so delicious that you won’t want to leave Hannaford Prep or Mounts Bay.
“I want a mobster’s son with the face of an angel and the rap sheet of a street kid. I want the singer with a soft heart wrapped in barbs and trip wires of devastating wit to keep it safe. I want the billionaire’s unwanted son with eyes of ice and an endless love for his sister.”
— Make Your Move: Hannaford Prep Year Two by J Bree
If you didn’t love Lips before, you’ll really love her after this book. This girl, who was starved as a child, grew up with addict mom, and has been under the thumb of a crime lord, is awkward around boys. It’s refreshing. You can absolutely relate to being tongue tied or intimidated around a cute boy. She longs for a normal life.
Her friendship with Avery is so good! After her upbringing, Lips needed a relationship that was real and true and Avery is everything she needs.
I won’t say more because if you haven’t read this, you need to.
Book two is just as good as book one. It keeps your interest the whole freaking time. I have become completely obsessed with these characters. Couldn’t have asked for a better follow up!
Great series with the twists that keep coming. Love how the girls banded together to become best friends.
