A hate to lovers small town romanceI’ve had a fifteen-year-plan since high school—get a degree in hospitality, learn the ropes working for a big hotel, before opening my own bed and breakfast. Eli Hastings isn’t part of that plan. The sexy-as-sin contractor I hired to renovate my bed and breakfast is the kind of man I’ve learned to stay away from. I can’t stand him most of the time, especially … of the time, especially when he’s interfering in my dreams like a know-it-all. That doesn’t mean I don’t imagine what it would feel like to have him pressed against me, but those fantasies are my best kept secret.
I try to hate him, but one kiss is enough to give in to my desires. Eli challenges me to live outside of my box, until one major deviation in my plan is too big to ignore. I refuse for anything to stand in the way of my dream, even if it causes me to break my own heart.

OMG when you don’t think the Everton guys could get any hotter, sweeter, or better the author shows you the best is always yet to come and, in this story, she really showed me how amazing Eli was. Eli is a hard worker, owns his own company renovated houses and other things, he lives to get Averly riled up, and he must be the sweetest and somewhat alpha guy in Everton. Averly is making her dream come true by renovating and trying to open up her own bed and breakfast, she organized and plans things out to a t because she likes to have control over almost every aspect of her life, so when Eli keeps messign with her and making her angry she doesn’t know whether she is attracted to this guy or if he just really likes to get under her skin. She was done wrong by a playboy in the past, so it has been hard for her to trust another guy in her life, and Eli is the epitome of playboy except he really isn’t. HE thinks she works too hard and never relaxes and she thinks he is just a silly player that will never understand her. Fate has a way of bringing people together especially in a small town and when fate brought these two together it knew exactly what it was doing because they balance each other out so well and find they are perfect for each other. This series has been beyond amazing and a favorite of mine, the author knows exactly what emotional strings to pull on and you end up sucked into every word and loving the characters like they are friends of yours. Definitely can’t wait for more.
This is the fourth book in the series, Eli and Averly’s book. Eli is a contractor who is working on Averly’s future bed and breakfast, with a secret crush on her. Averly is very organized and opinionated on every aspect of her life, she’s attracted to him. The problem is, they hate each other, or do they? I loved catching up with everyone from previous books. I highly recommend you read this book and this series.
My first book by this author and I really enjoyed it! This story is a small town, enemies-to-lovers romance book. Eli is a construction worker that is tasked with renovating a property for Averly, a woman he is NOT fond of. He finds her overbearing, unreasonable, demanding and downright bitchy! Averly hired Eli to do the renovations on her new business venture to open a bed and breakfast and she can’t stand working with Eli and his know-it-all attitude. He rejects every idea she has and makes her feel stupid for even bringing it up.
The two start seeing each other around town, through mutual friends and their attraction heats up and these two have sizzling chemistry! I loved the fun banter between these two and how they just seemed to balance each other out.
This was a light- and good-hearted book, I would have liked a bit more action or drama to make it a bit more angsty. There is a plot twist that tests their relationship but it’s short lived and not much drama comes from it. I also thought the transition from being enemies to lovers was very quick; there wasn’t a lot of build up so felt very rushed and instantaneous. I would have liked a bit more storyline there which I think would have also made this a bit more angsty.
Overall, I really enjoyed the book. I read it in a day, it was a quick and enjoyable read. I would definitely read this author again!
“Make You Mine” Book 4 of Fabiola Francisco’s Love in Everton series is a small town romance lovers dream as is every book in this delightful series. You will fall in love with Eli and Averly as you watch them walk that fine line between love and hate or more accurately love and denial….
Eli will double your reading pleasure because he’s two kinds of special. He’s a super sexy, power tool yielding contractor by day, super sexy horse riding cowboy by night. Just yum – he’s every girl’s dirty fantasy come to life, oh and he’s sweet too *sigh*.
Averly is a list writing control freak and has every detail of her life planned out. All her T’s crossed and her I’s dotted. Regardless she is still a beautiful mess – in other words relatable on so many levels.
Together, together they make one helluva perfect couple. Two halves that make a beautiful whole. I absolutely loved this book and cannot recommend it enough. Trust me you need this book. You’ll love it. TBR and enjoy.
The men in the Love in Everton series get hotter and hotter with each new addition. And Eli is at the top of my list of favorites. He isn’t just sexy, he is sweet, hardworking, confident, and an all around amazing man. This enemy to lovers story, is between Averly Cooper and Eli Hastings, and the tension between the two is felt from the beginning when we first see the two together in Pretend You’re Mine. Averly strives on order and everything happening as she has it planned. If things happen earlier, like the bed and breakfast finishing 3 years ahead of time, she is able to cope and roll with it, because it was her doing. Being in this relationship with Eli has taught her to let go a little and let things happen. Planning is great, but if something happens that wasn’t in their plans they have each other to go through with it together. This story is filled with so many happy and heartwarming moments between the two. The love and dedication Eli has for Averly can make anyone’s heart melt.
I love Fabiola’s writing style and her ability to make each of the stories in this series unique. Each of the characters has their own strengths and weaknesses, that as a reader I am still able to connect with. I love being able to escape to Everton and get lost in their world.
Just loved this sweet romance! The silly humor. The passion. And just a wonderful romance with its share of gossipy townspeople! Great job!
Eli is a player and has dated a lot. Averly is a very focused and driven young lady who was burned by a player when she was younger, and is leary of the type of man she sees in Eli. Even though she is attracted to him, she stays away from him to keep from getting hurt.
Eli is the best contractor in town, and Averly has purchased a home that needs a total redo so that she can turn it into a B&B, so she hires Eli to do the work. They are both pretty stubborn and don’t often agree. However, Eli sees a different side of Averly after a kitchen disaster occurs, and she shows her vulnerable side.
He begins to take the time to get to know her, and he sees past the facade she shows most of the world. They end up really getting to know each other and find that they actually like each other. There’s a slight hiccup in the plans toward the end, but somehow they make it work.
The pacing is steady throughout most of this book. It’s not a high-tension suspense story; it’s more like a slow simmer. The banter between Eli and Averly, and between both protagonists and their friends is fun to read. There are supporting characters who appear in this book who have been featured in other stories previously published by this author. She has created a place that would be fun to visit and interesting to live in. The ambiance of the story is like slipping in your favorite jeans or a comfy pair of slippers. You just want to come back for more!
k its not a shock to me that i’d enjoy this book as I have loved others in the series. What is a shock is how much I Loved it!! Eli & Everly have rocketed to my favourites!!
This book is a whole lot of Sexy, Steamy, Sweet Swooning. Small town Enemy to Lovers with a difference.
Eli is the obnoxious stubborn contractor working on Everly’s Dream B&B. She knows him, he’s her brothers friend, but that does not mean she likes him in anyway. Quite the opposite, even if
he is sexy as sin, he’s the town man whore, making his way through all the single ladies.
Eli loves to pull Everly’s chains, she needs to relax a little and get a little fun out of life, they might be oil and water, always bickering, but he see’s something her that makes him know she’s the one for him he just has to try and convince her !!!!
Omg i loved this book from the word go!! Easy to relate to, and felt realistic. Their banter had me riveted to the pages and my emotions fully engaged !! Fun, yet the depth of the characters and their emotional journey has me smiling ( lusting after Eli) and fighting my tears at the same time.I found myself more than once shouting to my own head, “omg Everly jump his bones already!”
Would I recommend this book? Hell yes !! What are you waiting for?
This was my favorite of the series so far! Who doesn’t love a duo who challenges each other with their stubborn ways, sexy smirks, and red hot banter? Averly and Eli are in a business relationship, he’s her contractor and is helping Averly bring her dream of owning a Bed and Breakfast to life. Every time Averly makes a change to the remodel Eli cringes and argues the point. Does he do this just to aggravate her or are her ideas too far fetched?
Eli loves the way her face turns red when he denies her a change or when he pokes at her ideas. He wishes she’d just trust him as the contractor and let him do his job. What he really wants is her face pink with passion at his hands, his lips, and his body. Whoa! Where did that come from?
Fabiola Fransisco takes it up a few levels with the heat between Eli and Averly! I loved the sexiness and the real life naughtiness of their relationship.
Loved every word of this steamy small town romance. It had everything: page-turning tension, sexy contractor, driven heroine, and all the friends we love in Everton.
This is a perfect enemies to lovers book wrapped up in a small package and delivered with loads of laughs and a heartwarming ending. Averly has a set plan for her future. Becoming a B&B owner is at the for front of her achievements. But when the hot and hunky contractor Eli comes into the picture the sparks originally felt were more hatred than love. But as the walls of the B& B come down so does Averly’s walls around her heart. Making the storyline one filled with emotion, desire and characters you cannot help but fall in love with Fabiola Francisco has created yet another masterpiece in the series.
Talk about sweet and swoon all wrapped up in a nice little book.
If you’re looking for a swoonwothy hero Eli is your guy. He was funny, hardworking, sweet and paid attention to what she need instead what she wanted.
Averly was one tightly woundup woman. She had a plan for a plan. She was feisty and sassy and I loved her banter with Eli. Together they made a great couple – him being (more) relax and her overthinking everything was just a perfect combo for a HEA.

She has a plan and he is fluid….can they balance each other out
*** 4 1/2 Stars ***
Make You Mine is the fourth book in the Love in Everton series. This is a nicely written and very enjoyable book. The story-line was a lot of fun with a love to hate ya, hate to love ya relationship between a woman who has had her life planned out since she was young with an attitude of everything in its place and a place for everything, and a man who lives one day at a time taking it as it comes. But these two opposites are more than a little attracted to each other and that is where it gets more fun and the chemistry between Averly and Eli really explodes.
I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
This is one of the most addictive reads yet from the Everton crew. The sexual tension, THE HEAT, the angst and all the feels – it’s the stuff that stories like this make it so hard to put down. Eli and Averly connected instantly with my heart. Fabiola writes characters with flaws…a vulnerability that steals your heart and takes your breath away.
Make You Mine from beginning to end is completely on point.
I am completely in love with this series!
The characters are more like family than friends. They have their own insecurities and obstacles but together they can get through anything. The women are the kind you want to surround yourself with in your own life. And the men are well, completely perfect.
Averly wants to create the perfect bed and breakfast. She has her own ideas and wants the renovation of her new project to be as she is envisioned. Eli will create a masterpiece if Averly would leave him alone and let him do this job. He is not used to being told how to do something but Averly has caught his attention. These two will butt heads and drive each other crazy.
Grab a glass of sweet tea and sit by a fan, because these two will fight to the end just to prove the other wrong. I love this couple.
I love Eli. He is sweet and protective and funny and most assuredly sexy. I like when he watches Averly sleep. I like his surprises for her and when he tries to push her out of her comfort zone. I think there are times when she is still a little immature at thirty. I mean come on get over it already. I love their unique story I like the best friends, the small town, the writing style. I will be looking for the older books from this series.

An interesting and enjoyable book four in the Love in Everton series! The story-line is well written, relatable, emotionally deep, funny, witty, and entertaining with back and fort, sexual tension, ups and downs, angst, and more excitement. The characters are likeable and you will enjoy getting to know them. A really good read; strongly recommended!

Make You Mine is Book 4 in the Love in Everton series by Fabiola Francisco, and I absolutely love this series!!
As I’ve mentioned before, I am a huge fan of small town romance, and Fabiola knows how to do small town romance.
Readers of the series know that there is a lot of tension and what seems like dislike between Averly and Eli.
Or is there?
“You remind me every damn day that I’m not your first choice, and I’m frankly getting sick and tired of it…”
Averly has a life plan, and she is way ahead of schedule. Working towards her dream of owning and running a B&B, she has no time for mistakes or distractions. She knows what she wants, and she refuses to take no for an answer.
Eli Hastings is her brother’s friend and the contractor working on her B&B. Just as stubborn as she is, he is ready to cut her off at every turn.
“Averly Cooper is too uptight to relax. Or, I’m the cause of her tension. Oddly, the idea of that excites me.”
The spark between these two is hot. I loved seeing Eli struggle with feelings of jealousy, relief, and confusion over a woman he spends most of his time fighting with.
But when those feelings finally win out?
“Tell me to leave.” (Um. SWOON.)
Averly is a little too straight laced and controlling, but Eli is the perfect balance for her. He teaches her how to live in the moment and that it is okay to let go once in a while.
“Leave the plans, notes, and to-do lists for when you’re working. Right now, when you’re living, sit back and enjoy the ride…”
I absolutely adored these two together. I could feel the emotion between them flowing off the pages. The shift from hate to love is a natural progression for these two, and they are easily my favorite couple of this series!
Another must read and one that will be placed on my books-to-re-read shelf!
I just love this series, no surprise it’s a small town country with cowboys. Right up my alley! But I also love Fabiola’s writing.
I love a good enemies to lovers romance. Just the banter and angsty between the two of them just makes for some great romance. And let me tell you Averly and Eli has that 100%.
Averly is getting her dream come to life. Being a business owner. But living in a small town and not having a lot of other options, she is stuck having to work with the one person she can’t stand. The town playboy.
Eli is proud of his work and a very hard worker. But he didn’t know how much he was getting into taking a job with Averly. They just never get along. But it is because there is some underlining feelings that is the cause of it?
This story was so sweet. Eli is the perfect match for Averly. And I am just in LOVE with her name. Fabiola has some of the best character names I have ever read!
4⃣.5⃣
recommendation
Fabiola does it again, the town of Everton is a place I think I could live in. There are so many friendships and happiness how could you now at least like to visit. Averly hires Eli to remodel her B&B and can’t stand a thing about the man, but he’s the only contractor in town. Eli takes the job because he needs the job to further his business even further, but working for the most strong headed woman in town proves to be challenging. Until one time they see each other and neither can take their eyes off each other. All their friends are finding loves and happiness and Averly and Eli can’t imagine ever finding either, and for sure not with each other. But as they start to spend time together the realize what you have in your head of who’s perfect and who’s not is always correct. Opposites do attract and don’t ignore your heart when it tries to tell you something. Averly and Eli both have been set in their ways, but once they start getting together as more than boss and employee they discover the other is just what they have been looking for.
