#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • NAMED ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR BY LOS ANGELES TIMES, THE GUARDIAN, AND SUSPENSE MAGAZINE • Stephen King calls Jack Reacher “the coolest continuing series character”—and now he’s back in this masterly new thriller from Lee Child. “Why is this town called Mother’s Rest?” That’s all Reacher wants to know. But no one will tell him. It’s a tiny place hidden in a … But no one will tell him. It’s a tiny place hidden in a thousand square miles of wheat fields, with a railroad stop, and sullen and watchful people, and a worried woman named Michelle Chang, who mistakes him for someone else: her missing partner in a private investigation she thinks must have started small and then turned lethal.
Reacher has no particular place to go, and all the time in the world to get there, and there’s something about Chang . . . so he teams up with her and starts to ask around. He thinks: How bad can this thing be? But before long he’s plunged into a desperate race through LA, Chicago, Phoenix, and San Francisco, and through the hidden parts of the internet, up against thugs and assassins every step of the way—right back to where he started, in Mother’s Rest, where he must confront the worst nightmare he could imagine.
Walking away would have been easier. But as always, Reacher’s rule is: If you want me to stop, you’re going to have to make me.
Praise for Make Me

Lee Child has done it again. The Reacher series has been around for a while and it just keeps on getting better and better.
The question is not if the story is good but ” how does it keep being great?”
If you have not yet ever read this series, you need to begin. If you have pick up this one and enjoy!
Jack Reacher hooks up with a private investigator to locate a missing person. Actually three missing people. No. I take that back. There are four missing people. In the search, Reacher and the PI must venture into the Deep Web, the hidden part of the Internet where criminals and hackers abound. It’s a very nasty place.
As for the plot, it’s gripping, completely novel, and loaded with plenty of plausible twists. And I guarantee you’ll never guess the ending. The writing is engaging and tight. The pacing will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Characterwise, Reacher’s role in this book is multidimensional. He’s a lover, and he’s a fighter, but most of all he’s a relentless investigator.
I’m a long time Reacher fan, and, in my opinion, this tense, high-octane story is the best in the series.
Highly recommended for fans of thrillers.
It’s Jack Reacher!
Need I say more?
Lee Child is one of my favorite authors. I always look forward to his next book.

Any Jack Reacher book by Lee Child is at the top of my list. Fast-paced and interesting, and who doesn’t love Reacher?
Vintage Lee Child.
Once you read the first Lee Child book you will be hooked. The main character, Reacher, is bigger than life. No on can resist his wild ways.
There’s something about Jack Reacher that touches a cord in us. A modern day knight in plain clothes and no luggage.
My favourite author
Jack Reacher comes (and stays to assist) to Chang’s rescue. Not literally at first, but she is waiting for her partner to arrive in Mother’s Rest. He never comes. Reacher and Chang search for him and his client for most of the book. As we reach some conclusions, the situation darkens considerably. I would have not have expected the conclusion. For lots of twists and turns, tune in to this Reacher novel.
I love the way ti characters learn about the internet and interact with all kinds of people tech people, country people, security, and let’s not forget the bad guys. It is an action pack story that has an interesting twist about crime, missing persons, and fear of the internet. You will love it.
I’ve read all the Reacher novels and this is one of my least favorite.
Lee child could scribble on a napkin and it would make a good read.
Great read!!!! Teacher is a unique and engaging character!
I love Reacher
Lee Child is an exceptional storyteller. His protagonist Jack Reacher is not one dimensional. Lee Child molds the character from book to book surprising the reader with twists and turns making the story fresh and spellbinding.
