Live-in nanny? What could go wrong?
Remington Key: I left the Navy, scored a billion in tech, got married, and had a baby. I did everything by the book. Happily ever after, right?
Fast-forward four years, and I’m alone, raising my daughter, caring for my mother-in-law, and trying to keep my stuff together. How … mother-in-law, and trying to keep my stuff together. How did this happen?
I was clearly drunk the night I offered a gorgeous girl in a bar $500 a day to be my live-in nanny. Or maybe it was my dick talking.
So what if I’ve been alone since forever? I’m focused on launching my new business, not bedding the sexy siren who sleeps down the hall.
At least that’s what I keep reminding myself…
Ruby Banks: Remington Key is distant, brooding, and ridiculously sexy. And when he scoops up his adorable four-year-old daughter Lillie and blows raspberries on her tummy while she squeals with delight, my ovaries literally explode.
Bumping into him at our local pub that night slightly drunk and overly frustrated was a total accident. He needed help, and it was the Christian thing to help a man in need. Right?
Only, Remington Key does not make me feel very Christ-like… No matter how committed I am to being a responsible employee.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. Tia Louise did such an amazing job with this book. I absolutely loved this story from the beginning until the end of book. Ruby and Remi gave me all the feels. The chemistry between them was off the charts. Read it. You won’t be disappointed.
I really liked this story- it was sweet with well fleshed out characters. I also enjoyed that this is a multiracial cast where Ruby is a half Korean woman and her mother was a hoot, with many similarities to my Chinese mother. In general, this is a billionaire and nanny romance, which is not my favorite trope but I liked that Ruby is a pretty strong characters while Remi is truly swoon worthy, especially when he’s playing with his daughter, Lily. There’s a lot of steam and the pacing is good, moving along at a good clip and I found I was always entrenched in the story.
I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton. While I love TH in all his vocal variations (male, female, child) I thought that Lucy was a little weaker with her male voices which seemed just a tad bit forced. But overall, they did a good job with the narration, keeping me in the story.
This is a great love story.
This is the story of Remington & Ruby. Remington was in the Navy and made a billion dollars because he invented apps to organize intelligence data, and now owns an investment business and has a four-year-old daughter named Lillie. Ruby is a therapist, but she’s having a hard time getting any clients. Remington and Ruby had met a while ago after church. She doesn’t remember it, though. They meet again now in a bar on a girl’s night out with her best friend, Drew. Remington hires her as a nanny. He’s trying to straighten out his life, which is a mess. These are two wonderful characters. This story has laughing out loud parts to it. It doesn’t have a lot of action in it, it’s just a sweet love story. Remi is determined to pursue Ruby in any way he can. It’s also steamy, which I love. The whole story will melt your heart. Kudos Tia Louise, for writing a great can’t put down story. Looking forward to more of your books.
There is so much to love about this sweet, and steamy romance. I love a single dad story, and Remi is so perfect as the broody, kind, and loving Dad to his adorable little girl, Lillie. He lost his wife and is raising her with the help of his mother-in-law, who is very hung up on social status and appearances. Remi is ready to love again, and when he meets Ruby, he is instantly attracted her. Ruby has been bullied her whole life, but despite that is wonderfully strong, sassy, and fun. She isn’t happy with the career path her controlling father convinced her to take, and is looking for a way to find her passion. When Remi offers her the lucrative live-in nanny position, she jumps at the chance to save money to help her accomplish her goal. They both feel the fiery attraction between them, and are determined not to act on it. But living and working so closely it becomes impossible to ignore. I loved the way the Remi and Ruby fit so well together. They both had past influences that colored their views and were determined to be better. They helped each other be stronger, have fun and their chemistry was off the charts. I also loved the dynamic between Ruby and Lillie and the way that Remi supported them both to the distaste of other family members. The love that grew between all three of them was so beautiful. The situations and banter between them, and others that would try to antagonize them was fun, empowering, and authentic.
Lucy Rivers, and Teddy Hamilton were so perfectly cast to narrate this fun and heartwarming romance. They completely captured these characters and made me feel all the hope, heartbreak, love, and passion they possessed. I was completely mesmerized by their storytelling making this romance even more captivating and delightful.
So many of Tia Louise books are on my TBR list and I am working my way through them and loving all of them that I have read so far. I just completely fell in love with Ruby and Remi. Such a sweet story!
Remi and Ruby meet at a bar and he hires her to be a nanny for his 4 year old daughter Lilly. Ruby and Lilly get along and Remi is happy to hear Lilly laughing again. The only problem is Remi and Ruby really want each other badly. Can they be together? Great characters and storyline. Highly recommended.
I can always count on Tia Louise to deliver a satisfyingly hot and steamy read and Make Me Yours did not disappoint!
I loved Remy and Rubi. Their chemistry was electric and watching them fall for each other was fantastic. At the story’s core it’s just two people falling in love and that made it so relatable and a breeze to get lost in.
Narration by Lucy Rivers and Teddy Hamilton was spot on. They brought the story to life perfectly and their narrating chemistry was off the charts. 5 stars.
Remington Key and Ruby Banks are instantly attracted the moment they lay eyes on each other in a local bar. Remy, a billionaire widower, offers Ruby $500 a day to work for him as a live-in nanny. Frustrated by her lack of career growth as a therapist and having to live with her mother, Ruby agrees. Will they be able to ignore the undeniable chemistry between them and maintain a professional relationship, or will it turn into something else?
I must say I’m slowly becoming a fan of Tia Louise’s. She has the ability to make listeners (and readers) feel the chemistry between the characters and the depth of their emotions. I was charmed by Lillie and her love for Disney characters; and her grandmother has become one of those characters I love to hate!
Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers did a great job with the narration.
Make Me Yours is a slow-burn, single dads contemporary romance written in dual first person POV. It’s a standalone that ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.
I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
This is a great single dad story. Remington and Ruby’s story is sweet, fun, romantic, and heartwarming. Remington is a good dad, protective, loving, and patient. Ruby is a lovely, strong, and caring woman. They are great characters, and they share a strong and beautiful chemistry. Lillie, Remington’s daughter, is so cute. Between an adorable little girl, and a mother-in-law a little too protective and conservative, they try to find their way together. I loved it. Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers did a great job with the narration.
Audio Review: Make Me Yours by Tia Louise (Author), Lucy Rivers (Narrator), Teddy Hamilton
Make Me Yours can be as serious as a heart attack or as cheesy as a bologna sandwich. Yet somehow Tia Louise makes it work. Remy and Ruby aren’t living the fairytale. They’re working their way through the heartache of life and bias of society. There are moments that prove themselves a bitter pill to swallow and circumstances that remind hearts why love is so worthwhile. Rivers and Hamilton make even the tough moments a blessing to behold. Never have I ever felt so much.
Make Me Yours
By: Tia Louise
Narrated by: Lucy Rivers, Teddy Hamilton
Give me a single dad book any day, and I am happy, but this Make Me Yours by Tia Louise had me entranced all day! Remington is a single dad of a spunky, boisterous 4 year old girl. Helped by his overbearing mother-in-law, and a little intoxicated, he hires Ruby to be his new nanny. Ruby is looking to make some money as her job as a therapist is slower to grow than anticipated. With no experience with children, she takes to Lillie and the two are thick as thieves. But with a new nanny comes change and attraction. Will these two find their way? It’s such a wonderful story with your heart just growing every minute. The interaction of Lillie with every character is so endearing, a child you can’t help but love. Ruby and Remy’s chemistry is off the charts and oh, it’s so easy to be frustrated with the mother-in-law. If you are looking for a listen that is heartwarming, romantic and low angst, grab this one, you will love it!
Narration is by Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers, two of my favorites! Hamilton nails Remington, every heated moment, every frustration, he makes us feel his emotions and keeps our hearts invested. Rivers is amazing, from the perfect Ruby, hesitant and loving to Lillie with the 4 year old voice, I could picture it all. This is an incredible team and they made it an incredible listen.

LOVED IT!
Love it! The characters are amazing. Love single Dad romances and this one did not disappoint. Highly recommend.
This book had me under its spell from the beginning. Remington Key is sexy, brooding, and fiercely protective. Ruby Banks is gorgeous, sweet and sassy. No matter how hard they fight their attraction they are powerless to stop the fall. These two together are magical. The slow-burn romance as they fall in love is breathtaking and incredibly romantic. The storyline and characters are very well-written; it has all the feels. Remi’s little daughter is adorable and I loved the scenes with her. The small-town feel was captured perfectly – the good, bad, and the ugly. I loved this book and didn’t want it to end!
*WARNING* contains explicit adult sexual situations
Remi is a billionaire single dad, with his controlling mother-in-law living with them. Remi is lost.
Ruby loves art, but her controlling father says it’s useless, so she was never allowed to persue it. Ruby now is now a therapist, but she doesn’t like her job. When Ruby gets offered a huge amount of money to be a nanny for a billionaire, she has to take it.
This has all the feels in it. The mother-in-law you love to hate. The cute little girl that you’ll love. The hunky billionaire with his own daddy issues. The catty, gossipy, snobbs at the rich pre-school. All of these elements came together to make a feel good romance with a HEA.
3 STARS
This was such a sweet and enjoyable read! I really liked Remi, he is such a great father to Lillie. His 4 year old daughter Lillie was the cutest. One thing that I enjoyed most when reading about Ruby’s character was that she was half Asian (Korean to be precise). It was nice to read a story with some asian influences. I related with Ruby when there were a few of those stereotypical comments thrown at her about being a “Geisha”. I was thinking along the same lines…Ummm…wrong race, that’s Japanese not Korean.
Overall, I would recommend reading this book. Thank you to the author and Inkslinger PR for generously providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Make Me Yours by Tia Louise will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-SUPERIOR.
Remington Key and Ruby Banks are the main characters in Make Me Yours: A Stand-Alone Single Dad Romance by Tia Louise. Remington (Remi) and Ruby are both alike in that they are both very down to earth people, even though Remy is a billionaire. Ruby was raised in an affluent family, but nowhere near the means that Remi has. However, they both had very stern, disapproving fathers that shaped their lives and made them who they are today. Remi is a widower who wants a nanny to help with his 4 year old daughter, Lillie. His mother-in-law lives with him and has been caring for her since she was an infant after his wife died. She is too strict and is raising her too pretentiously. He just wants her to be a normal little girl.
Ruby’s therapy business is not taking off like she had hoped, and she doesn’t enjoy it. She needs a new job to pay off loans, move out of her mother’s house, and get out of debt. A chance meeting with Remi gets her the job of a lifetime being a live in nanny for his little girl. Only problem – she is highly attracted to him. How is that going to work?
This is such a sweet love story with little angst you will devour it quickly like I did. Watching the love bloom between Ruby and Lillie and then Ruby and Remi was so beautiful to witness. I loved Lillie so much. She was such a sweetheart. And the wicked mother-in-law, well we all love to hate that bad person! It reminded me of the fairy tale Cinderella, minus the wicked step-sisters. But the sex and steam between Remi and Ruby was high on the temperature scale!
I highly recommend this book and looking forward to reading the next book about Ruby’s best friend Drew and Gray and Remi’s friend Stephen. Their parts in this book were priceless and special and I fell in love with them, too! So yes, one click this book and start on this wonderful journey!
Make Me Yours is a wonderful single dad love story. I thought the story was sweet, feel good, fun, and steamy, that I devoured it all at once. The characters Remi and Ruby were likeable and so good together. Secondary characters were great, especially Little Lillie she was so cute. It was such a delightful story, that I will reread again.
If you want a beautiful story that will make you laugh, cry and ovaries burst, this book is for you! I loved the characters. This was a sexy read with a HEA. *fans self*
A whimsical and heartfelt read that will help you find your way back from a book slump and make you fall in love with happily-ever-afters again.
