Royal St. James got her name when she was born. Not because her mother loved her royally, but because Royal was a giant pain in the ass. She’s spent her entire life fighting to live, and the last thing she needs is to deal with some pretty-boy police officer who wouldn’t know a hardship if it came up and bit him in the…you know.Justice Rector wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was … mouth. He was raised to work hard and always fight for what he believed in. His father was a cop, and ever since he could remember, he wanted to be one, too.
It was a complete coincidence that he ends up going undercover and meeting Royal St. James. It was just one day, a single moment in time. All routine.
Just do the buy, make the bust, and get out.
But Royal St. James, aptly named, screws everything up. Royally.
All of a sudden, he has a decision to make: blow his cover and save the girl, or save himself.
Of course, he does the most stupid thing possible.
By saving the girl who most assuredly did not want to be saved.

Once again Lani Lynn blows me away with her ability to tell a story. The simple yet engaging way she pens words always has me scrambling for her next release.
As she stays in the KPD with the hot motorcycle cops, she gives us a new twist. Oh, don’t get me wrong, it’s still hot! The men are still in those tight, a$$ hugging pants, but the depth of Royal and Justice are the core of this story.
Royal is a call it as she sees it, lay it all on the line, protective, over the top young woman. It’s a wonder she is as well adjusted coming from the lowlife scum she calls parents. But she has a heart as pure as gold.
Justice is a guy’s guy. He wants to swoop in and save the day. But when you are a cop that is on the downlow that can be a pretty difficult thing to do until you make that girl you are willing to lay it all on the side for.
The pairing of Justice and Royal is pure magic. They are as opposite as night and day, their backgrounds are on two ends of the spectrum, but the connection is inevitable. The thing I love about Lani’s books is I don’t feel as though I am reading. I feel as though I am hanging out with my bestie, sipping some wine and hearing about their day. All the good, the bad, the ugly and the indifferent.
Oh, and don’t let me forget the humor. I laughed out loud so many times in this book, I found myself looking around to see if anyone was watching me strangely, though I live alone.
Great job Lani and I am sooooo glad I discovered you.
Loved it, really enjoyed the storyline and the H/h.
Enjoyed seeing Loki and Channing again.
I quite enjoyed Justice & Royal’s story! A lot of it is fun & bantery & H O T. *fans self* They take a bit to get together, but when they do, they are TOGETHER. I loved getting to see quite a bit of Loki & Channing, too!! Love them!!
I also love that Royal takes care of Justice when he’s sick & how he protects her & defends her against her jerk of a father. There are some great scenes there. There’re of course also some suspenseful elements, which I enjoyed for the most part. Royal plays a big part of solving one of the “mysteries” which was cool. But a major (at least, I felt like it was a big part of the story) plot point just sorta disappeared after Justice confronted her dad about some stuff & then we skipped right into the epilogue. That annoyed me, but it was also a really good epilogue, so … : )
Justice and Royal! WOW! This was so good!!! It was definitely worth the wait!
Lani Lynn Vale I’ll just keep saying it you a true talent with your writing , I have read everyone of this authors stories and along the way I fell for the story lines and characters . Make me is book four in the KPD Motorcycle patrol it can be read as a standalone but characters from previous books do make appearances . I went through so many emotions while reading this like always when it comes to the authors books and like always I’m so sad when it ends and wanting to read the next one . If you are new to this authors books you need to get them as soon as possible .

Make Me shows the reader a different side to Kilgore, TX. Its 11th street where things are illegal and dangerous-drugs, prostitution, and all sorts of other seedy activities. It also happens to be where Royal and her wheelchair bound brother work. Their family disfunction makes everyone else’s family look like the Cleavers! Her father is a huge douche, her “step mother” is a lazy, heartless wench, and somehow her and her brother turned out okay!
Justice meets Royal when he is undercover trying to take down a kingpin on 11th. She is a royal pain in his butt and she is gonna get herself killed. I thought Royal was a great heroine-she is flawed enough to be real, and her emotions and actions are believable. I adored her and Justice together! The story is multi faceted and focuses on their relationship, the danger from Marcus, their families, and their town. It all blends seamlessly into a delightful story.
Make Me will charm fans of Vale’s work and will woo new readers into becoming fans! Justice and Royal will steal your heart with their story!
Thank you to Wildfire and the author for an advanced copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
Make Me

*REVIEW*
I’m new to Lani Lynn Vale, but after reading Make Me, I understand why so many reviews sing her praises. This story is a bit of everything, humor, danger, mystery, drama, romance and a few things that really just made me angry. Poor Royal! Seriously, what a terrible time she’s had with her wonderful(not) father, and her brother falls into major bad luck. In response, Royal doesn’t make the best decision, but her loyalty and sass will allow no less from her. She gets in big trouble, and Justice saves her life at a cost to himself and his job. These two are electric together. They balance each other out, and it’s fun to see the progression of their relationship. Royal is a great example of female empowerment. She’s doing it whether it’s dangerous or not, and there’s no reasoning with her. Justice is the soft inside but tough exterior guy. He’s a good guy who does the right thing. All in all, this story is fast paced, entertaining and compulsively readable. Once you begin, it’s easy to get lost, and just read it in one setting. Fun and frisky!
A great book by LLV to get immersed in.
Royal & Justice made me so glad that I picked Lani Lynn Vale book. It was refreshing and the storyline captivated me more than I thought it would. The characters were dynamic and I was hooked from page 1.
4.5 Stars
I truly love this series because it gives you all the feels and humor, but also suspense that leaves you on the end of your seat. I loved Justice and Royal so much. They had the banter and chemistry that made this one so enjoyable to read. One of my favorite parts was the interaction between Justice’s parents and Royal. She so deserved something like that. Boy did I want to knock some sense into Royal’s father. I disliked that man very much. I literally got a book hangover because I was in the wee hours finishing this one. I couldn’t put it down because I had to know what was going to happen next. I’m so looking forward to the next book in the series.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SERIES! Royal had a difficult childhood but is living life on her own terms. Through those terms, she ends up in a situation with Justice, who is actually undercover. As the pair keep accidentally meeting, it then puts her in danger and he has to choose her or the job. Acting on the attraction the pair have, they are forced together out of protection and get to know each other where the feelings develop and grow. But when Justice’s undercover job continues to threaten Royal’s life, the pair have decisions to make that hopefully will keep each other alive and together. I honestly love the character of Royal! My heart breaks for her past as well as her relationship with her father, but her devotion to her brother just adds to her character. I also love her personality – she’s definitely scrappy and headstrong, which is really what gets her into the position she gets into. I think that her and Justice are the perfect pair and compliment each other personality-wise. The fact that Justice hates Royal’s father without even meeting him just based on what he’s done to his daughter makes me love him even more. On top of that, the ending of this book was GOLD! I went back and forth from hysterically laughing to queasy all in one epilogue! Per usual, can’t get enough of Lani Lynn Vale’s books and I can’t wait for the next one in this series!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Justice is a cop and undercover trying to catch a drug dealer. Royal is fiery and in the wrong place at the wrong time. The two are dynamite when they get together. Royal is treated bad by her father so she works across the road from where Justice has his own mechanic shop. Justice can use the mechanic shop as a perfect undercover for his police work. Will the couple be able to deal with Royal’s past and Justice’s job? A great read in the series.
Make Me is the latest addition to the KPD Motorcycle Patrol Series and this one will have you smiling from start to finish like you have lost your mind. Royal’s red hair is like a beacon calling Justice home and will have him making a choice that will change the course of his operation. The sass, wit and banter between these two has you falling in love with Justice and Royal almost immediately. The heat that radiates off them is enough to turn a simmering fire into a raging inferno, so prepared because things are about to get hot. We get to catch up with Loki and Channing as Royal and Justice take their quick paced action packed attraction in a ride to their forever. This is a romance that gives you a little of this and a whole lot of that to take your emotions through their paces. I fell in love with not only their characters but their whole entire story.
5 ‘I Kept Counting’ Stars
O.M.G! Could Make Me be any more beautifully crafted?! NO, it could not! Justice and Royal’s love story checked every single one of my Romance boxes! Lani Lynn Vale keeps on blowing me away with every single book of this, that is now, my all time LLV series! Outstanding!
Ah, prepare yourself for the upcoming raving, which I’ll keep as spoiler free as possible, but my world, these two are now one of my top OTP, so I can’t gush enough about them!
Ms. Vale always creates the most realistic and relatable heroines, so it was no surprise how much I identified myself with Royal, but her depth and inward suffering, her pain, just made more perfect in my eyes. The rawness of her emotions, the insecurity of her feelings, and her passionate manner specially considering her past, made her irresistible and so darn captivating to me. And of course, to our contemporary ‘knight in shinning armor’ Justice.
Seriously, this man… Capital Alpha swoonfest all around! They may have had a rocky start, due to his undercover job and circumstances, but the instant attraction and connection was right there even in that first meeting. So when they gave in and embraced Fate, and his chief, lol, demands of proximity at all times, there was no way they could resist that atomic deep chemistry. And once Justice saw through her invisible barriers – which he almost immediately identified – and decided to prove to her just how real and how meant to be they were, oh my heart, he was the very definition of best book boyfriend!
As per Lani Lynn Vale’s usual – and winning formula! – she gave us everything we could have wished for in this story: LOL humor, emotional depth, an taunting suspense, steam inducing sexy times, all wrapped up in a epic style LOVE STORY! Oh, and let’s not forget the awesomeness that was to see again our beloved OG LLV couple, Loki and Channing, they were perfectly integrated in his son’s story. Even more satisfying than the parents as secondary characters, I want to stand out the teasingly deliciousness that was Lock, and that hint of who he’s being paired with! I can’t wait! NEED. IT. NOW!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
It’s getting so hard to write a review for Lani Lynn Vale!! I’m trying to find words that I haven’t already used to describe this amazing author. She is always a one click author, her work is easy on the eyes but packs a punch or too. Of course, having some kickass heroines and hero’s is always a guarantee with her stories and Make Me is no different.
Make Me is the four instalment in her KPD Motorcycle Patrol series and it’s the perfect addition. I have to say that this is probably my favourite story in the series so far. The main characters Royal and Justice are some on my favourite. Their chemistry is so explosive, that you could feel the pages burst into flames.
Royal, our heroine is one hell of a kick ass woman. She is on a mission to find out what happened to her brother and she isn’t afraid from ruffling a few feathers along the way. She is fierce and loyal, but ultimately, she just wants to find someone to love and who loves her unconditionally.
Justice, our hero, is a serious Alpha male. This man certainly made my heart sing! As an undercover officer he crosses path with Royal and knows she is more trouble than he needs, but there is something about her that keeps him going back for more.
When these two characters are on the page together, their interactions and chemistry is hard to miss. They compliment each other so well, where Justice is hard, Royal is soft. Both characters help each other evolve and you can’t help but fall in love this couple.
Lani Lynn Vale continues to suck me in with her words. Like I said earlier, Make Me is one of my favourite reads from this talented author and I seriously can’t wait to see what happens next.
Make Me, Lani Lynn Vale’s newest release in her KPD Motorcycle Patrol #4) series, is an apt name for Royal St. James and Justice Rector, primarily because I can totally see both of them up in people’s faces, saying that exact phrase, provoking and taunting in a way that may get them in trouble but more than likely will have others backing away before things come to blows.
Each heroine who Lani Lynn Vale creates is an independent, quirky, intelligent, and snarky woman, but there’s just something even more authentic about Royal St. James than any of Vale’s other female leads; she’s aptly given a unique name to go with her unique self and the more insight readers receive about this kickass, take no prisoners’ alpha female, the more I want her to keep fighting the fight, proving herself worthy of every single aspect of life, especially love in its truest form.
Justice Rector absolutely comes off as a hardass, which he absolutely needs for his job, but there’s more to him than his brash exterior, and with Royal, regardless of how infuriated he gets with her and her antics – those that seem to put her and him in difficult situations – the tension between them is palpable and it’s only a matter of time despite forces working against them that they found their rightful place next to one another.
Like most of Vale’s story lines, things move rather quickly in terms of the main conflict; both the hero and heroine place themselves in rather precarious positions – one, because she can’t not protect those she loves, and the other, because he sure as heck isn’t going to allow the fiery redhead he can’t stop thinking about get into anymore trouble than she’s already been in – even if that means blowing his cover and potentially his case.
Of course, there isn’t a Lani Lynn Vale story out there that doesn’t include an array of supporting characters who add another layer to the story line, not to mention the suspense and intrigue that the story itself displays. And all of that together culminates into one satisfying ending, at least for the good guys.
4.5 Poison Apples
Yes, I agree! Royal is a pain in the you know what! Somehow, her temper gets in the way and she always ends up in more trouble than she bargained for.
Her father, Judge St James is the most horrible father on earth. Now that he has a new wife, he expects Royal to take care of her disabled brother while he focuses on his career and his new wife. Royal of course, will do just about anything to get a rise out of the judge. So her latest job as a welder on the dodgy side of town is her latest achievement at increasing his blood pressure.
This is where Justice Rector meets her as he tries to remain under cover and do his job as a policeman. Only one problem! The attraction between him and Royal is about to make his job impossible and put a lot of people in danger. Nothing like a drug dealer getting mad because Royal has gotten under his skin to make the bullets fly and everyone to duck for cover!
Loved Justice! Adored Royal! And I am still hoping the Judge continues to monitor his blood pressure.
I am voluntarily reviewing this book. Thanks to the author for sharing a copy with me.
Make Me is another 10 Star story!!!! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Every member of the KPD Motorcycle Patrol series is just unbelievable. Just when I think LLV’s men can get any hotter they do. Justice and Royal is a story you don’t want to miss! These two come together out of necessity for Royal to stay safe but will she not only find safety but love in the process! This story is all you expect and more!!!!
4.5* Royal caught his eye when she was wearing overalls and all sweaty. She was in the wrong part of town, she shouldn’t be there. He didn’t want anything to happen to her but goodness, she just went and attracted all the wrong kinds of trouble. He had had to make a decision and he made the only one that he could live with.
As all of LLV books you’re giggling, sighing and there’s heat in it between the h/H. Loved seeing Loki and Channing again! Too funny when Loki was telling Justice that he was conceived on the bike he was selling. The expression that I could see and hear is was perfect! LOL
LLV is a one click for me every single time!!!

An undercover Justice Rector has to decide between his assignment and the woman who has caught his eye, Royal St. James, when the very man he is undercover to catch sets his sights on her. Will Justice be able to keep Royal safe, and maybe even himself when his target realises what is going on?
This was soooo good. I loved seeing Loki and Channing again when the pair went to Justice’s childhood home for a visit, and the chemistry between Justice and Royal was fantastic with plenty of humour and some steamy bedroom action going on. As always, LLV wrote a book I couldn’t put down until I finished and I give Make Me 5 stars.

So like I always seem to say, this is part of a series and as such should be read in order. THIS series is actually a second gen series, and to get the feels ALL of the previous books should be read, as this makes everything fall into place and just makes sense and gives feels… and I could go on and on about why reading from Boomtown on is the best thing…. but I won’t, I’ll just state: Read from Boomtown on.
Justice Rector is the oldest son of Loki and Channing from Keys to My Cuffs, The Heroes of the Dixie Wardens MC series. His reason for moving to Kilgore was an ex, but that ended pretty quickly, and now he is stuck there making the best of the situation.
Royal has not had the best life, in fact you would think with her father being a judge her life would have been rainbows and unicorns. That’s just not so, her father doesn’t really give a crap about her, she fights for time with her little brother and she fought for the life she has. When Royal runs into a man one morning she doesn’t realize that the blond Adonis was going to be her saving grace. A run in with a wannabe gang leader, death threats and more, Royal has to put her trust in a man she doesn’t know. Will Justice be able to keep her safe?
This has all the feels!!! I loved everything about this, seeing Channing and Loki, watching Royal try not fall for Justice, Justice falling for Royal. The ride was amazing and entertaining as all get out. I love the personal touches that LLV puts in her stories! I give this 5 stars.
LOVED this book! Justice is awesome and has such a great family. Royal is strong, she had to be with the father she was unfortunately stuck with (I hated him!!), though her brother rocks). I loved them together! I couldn’t put it down, I had to keep reading to see what happened next. Lani Lynn Vale welcomes you into her world and makes it so you don’t want to leave!
