Two strangers meet from feuding families – can a fake wedding bring their families together?“This story is amazing. I loved every bit of it!” – Amazon reviewer“The author’s wonderful sense of humor explodes in this book!” – Goodreads reviewerMolly Beluga was abandoned at the altar and has no intention of heading back there anytime soon. When she crosses paths with an arrogant fireman, she knows … crosses paths with an arrogant fireman, she knows better than to let her heart get involved. She can’t face the idea of having it broken by another failed relationship. A serious journalist working for her family’s newspaper, her only plan is to focus on her career and to train her new Labrador puppy, Daisy, to behave.
Tim Holden left the family newspaper to become a fireman with the Atlanta Fire Department. After a lifetime of watching the newspaper business consume his family, he has no time for journalists, let alone a beautiful and feisty journalist with no regard for anything other than getting the story. Now thirty, he’s grown tired of bouncing between short-term relationships so when an idea emerges for a fake relationship, he’s intrigued.
Will these enemies sheath their swords long enough to formulate a plan that just might bring their warring families back together?
A modern retelling of the classic tale, Romeo and Juliet, without all the gore.

Very cute story. I’ve read both books in the series and am looking forward to more.
Molly and Tim, both from families who hate each other. It started with the granddads a long time ago. Now it’s time to put that all to rest but that’s not easy. It took not just pretending dating or an make-believe engagement but an make-believe wedding. But will it be enough? And what when it isn’t pretending any more but they’re getting real feelings for each other?
I really enjoyed this story about the love for your family and always trying to make things better. And that mischievous dog Daisy was hilarious at some points (but I’m happy it’s not my dog).
Make-Believe Wedding is a sweet, clean romance with interesting characters.
I listened to the Audible version. Amanda Stribling’s performance was fantastic.

Molly is a journalist and Tim is a Firefighter. Molly Beluga and Tim Holden are family members of the rival newspapers in Town. There is a feud between both families. All She wanted to do was try to heal the rift between both families! Tim the single tall, handsome fireman who doesnt do relationships, placed a bet with his roommate. it was a bet that would change his life. Molly is smart, sassy, fun, add in a destructive puppy named Daisy, there is hilarity abound.
Amanda Stribling narration made it a fun story to listen to.

A feel good read about feuding families, with clean romance! Like a breath of clean air without all the sex! Vivi Holt keeps the story moving with Molly and Tim when they meet by accident during a gas leak. Once they figure out the connection between their families, they set out to correct a wrong and end up in a mess! Having an overly active puppy in the midst was a good connector.
I really enjoy the Make Believe series. This is an enemies to lovers romance with attitude. Mollie is determined to let nothing stop her from making a deadline. When there is a gas leak, she asks for ten minutes so she can finish before she evacuated the building. There is not much Tim can do besides carry her to safety. What a way to meet a handsome fireman!!! But the fake wedding plans will ignite the emotions of both families. I really enjoyed how Tim and Mollie fight to not get attached to each other, but somehow fate has a different plan. I laughed out loud at the antics of Daisy, Mollie’s puppy. Vivi Holt writes another sweet and funny romance.
Amanda Stribling narration makes this story come to life. I enjoyed her narrating Mollie. Mollie has such sass, and Ms. Stribling brings that out. I love the consistency of one narrator for a series. Ms. Stribling enhanced the overall experience of this story.
I have to admit, I thought of Romeo and Juliet as I read about the feud between the Belugas and the Holdens. At least no one had to die in this charming romance. This story has strong and strong willed characters, family drama and humor. Finally Molly Beluga and Tim Holden feel that it is time to call a cease fire in the senseless feud their grandfathers started over 40 years before. Their attempts to bring their families to their thinking are met with resistance at every turn. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about their attempts to end the feud. I was sorry to reach the end.
Okay
I thoroughly enjoy many different novels by Vivi Holt, and quite a few of them here recently have been from her ‘Make-Believe Series.’ There have been some that I enjoy more than others, and unfortunately this time I enjoyed this novel a little less than the others. The overall storyline was good, with really good characters; however, it was also slow and drawn out through places making it seem longer than necessary. I do recommend it for it is apart of a series and the overall series has been well written.

I purchased a copy of Make-Believe Series book 2:Make-Believe Wedding by ViVi Holt and this review was given freely.
The rivalry of two newspaper families, regret, an awkward first meeting, a bet, and a naughty lab mix combined with the rocky romance and work excerpts of firefighter Tim with Journalist Molly make this a complex and action packed fake to real romance.
Once Burned . . .
Not only are they reluctant to get involved with the opposite sex, their families have been a-feuding for 3 generations. Here’s a new and delightful spin on “Romeo and Juliet” that, especially as narrated by Amanda Stribling, will keep you smiling. Plus–dog!
I love this sweet and fun romance. I loved the main characters, Tim and Molly. Tim is a handsome fireman who was never been in love. Molly is a feisty journalist who had her heart broken by a failed relationship. I was hooked from their first scene together, when he carried her outside a building. Their relationship began with a make-believe, in an attempt to bring their families to get over the grudges, but ended with a beautiful HEA. I loved to follow them in their journey while their sentiments grown. I absolutely loved the Epilogue. The secondary characters were also interesting, in particular, Vicky, Callum and also Daisy, Molly’s Golden Labrador. Their parents and grandfathers were hilarious. Now, I can’t wait for the next book in the Series, Make-Believe Honeymoon, Callum’s story. The narration was well done and easy to listen. I enjoyed my listening. I received this free review copy audiobook at my request and I have voluntarily left this review.
Molly Beluga is a journalist, working at her family’s newspaper in Atlanta. When she meets Tim Holden, the son of the rival newspaper’s owner, she isn’t interested in a relationship.
However, the two families have been feuding for decades and Molly and Tim decide to pretend to be in love in order to bring the feud to an end. Of course, there are lots of bumps and tears along the way, but there is an HEA for all of us romantics! Also, the descriptions of Tim’s job as a fireman were a great addition to the book, adding some intense action and apprehension. And, Daisy, Molly’s dog, has to be my favorite character!
A well-written, clean and inspirational book that is sure to entertain all readers. The narrator does a great job and adds a lot to the enjoyment of the book.
I received a copy of this Audible book from the author and chose to review it.
Cute and Humorous Romance
This is a sweet and funny romance. The plot is fun and the author makes it funny. My favorite character is the big golden lab puppy who is always getting into mischief. All of the characters have just the right depth to keep the story interesting without getting the reader bogged down in details. There is a nice Christian faith element that runs through the story, but it is not overwhelming. As always, this author presents a quality story suitable for all ages. I received this ARC book for free and this is my honest review.
